I went on a Wednesday. There was a Kizomba dance class that my nieces participated in. Good class! I sat at the bar and watched while enjoying a few shots of whiskey. Had a great relaxing time. Very friendly group. Will visit again next time I'm in England.

Went in to visit 5 buns upstairs. Amazing. Absolutely recommend if you're looking for vegan eats in the area. Lovely, lovely staff, wonderful food. 10/10

More of a venue rather than a pub! Hosts a variety of events each week from live music to social meetings and gatherings. Bar serves a range of drinks, all bottled or poured, never seen anything on tap and it is expensive for the area. The interior is a wide open space, minimal seating and mostly wooden clad, but had a great atmosphere for whatever the occasion.

Been here a couple of times. First time in there it was tumbleweed dead and second time was for a poetry event which surprisingly was a lovely turnout. There's a friendly vibe in there but to be honest I think drinks are unreasonably priced for that establishment. A double gin and tonic cost me £10.. in a no frills pub.. ??

Went there to attend to a concert recently and the place was quite nice. The sound system was really good and the atmosphere was amazing. The downside, there's no coverage within the pub and the drinks were expensive AF. Even for a concert's standards

Nice enough.. but not a very normal pub. There was no beer on tap when I went last weekend, only rather expensive bottles. They also don't do food but I believe they're planning to soon. It seems like it opens mostly for special events like music nights or quizzes.

The idea they are trying to accomplish is great but unfortunatly they lack in many ways. The venue needs an upgrade, there are waay too many stairs to go up and down, its not crowded enough to enjoy the party and when it does get crowded there is not enough air to around. Also, they need to update their door policy. Letting in any tom dick and harry while their obviously drunk is no good. Some girl pissed on the upstairs dance floor five minutes after entering the venue...

Really good atmosphere, bar staff were quick and really friendly. Drinks prices were good too. The only places you get cheaper drinks is a wetherspoons. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone local to the area or If you're just passing though. A nice change to all the generic shabby chic pubs out there!

Decent pub, good location the staff were all friendly and helpful. The drinks selection was limited but it's seems they are more of a nightclub/ music venue than local pub. Lots you could moan about if you wanted to but I had a great time the DJs and vibe here was great for a Saturday off the beaten track

Had an amazing night last Friday.. they played plenty of afro beats tunes The place was heaving with people having a great time. I recommend it for all, especially on a friday night. The staff was really friendly and polite with a great atmosphere. I ❤ this place.

One of those gems yet to be discovered by the rawdy people of Shoreditch. Great gigs happening, good customer service. Fast queues, and a lovely decor. The hardwood floors are just beautiful, as are the panels in the walls!

I've been here for many a 'rave'. It's a pub/club with an awesome sound system. They do a lot of fun parties on Saturday nights where you have to pay £5 or so. Urban nerds, dont panic, bang bang are some of the names of the parties that have been hosted down there.

They are getting ready for the new season with a brand new awesome black look and Jameson as a sponsor. They have great live music and great parties on saturday night for 5 pounds!! Can't wait to see it from the inside!

a big airy pub in Hoxton I didn't think it was anything particularly special but it does put on a live unsigned bands and most who i have seen there have been good. This is a good place to grab a beer and possibly see the next Ed Sheeran before they break through.

I've never seen any live music at The Macbeth and I can't imagine where they would have the space to play, because every time I've been there it has been packed! Full of hipster Shoreditch students and artists knocking back bottles of beer. There's a nice little balcony upstairs, but they operate a one-in-one-out policy with the smokers which means things can get a little crazy!

Great interior design. A lovely oldy worldy ambience, plus they do small live gigs there of new talent. Upstairs roof terrace smoking area bit has a great view. Crazy paintings and stuff. Quite impressive. It's a bit off the beaten track but its worth the find.

Bouncers were rude, can not fault the bartenders, but when you have security in the manner of which they inherit poor communication skills, a lack of order. Overall I would come back again if any other bars near Macbeth were closed,
