Reviews of The Mitre
R. A.
Lovely pub and Inn-hotel! The rooms are very spacious and clean. The communication with the hotel prior to the booking was excellent! And the members of staff are amazing 🤩- very polite and kind people who make you feel welcome 🙏🏻. Very tasty and generous breakfast!! Plus Greenwich Park and all the amenities are all in walking distance! All in all 5-star experience - highly recommended!
D. O.
Love this pub, it's very popular and serves food until 10pm. There are two outdoor beer gardens/smoking areas, which both have heaters, a conservatory with a load of different kinds of clocks on the wall (none of them are the right time though 😄) and a private function room for hire.
The staff are nice and helpful and the bar has a great range of drinks (lagers, ales, wines and spirits).
Highly recommend a visit.

Come here to try fish and chips! The portion size is wow) staff is friendly and quick. However, the food took some time, but it totally worth it! Sticky table😬.

We had a great time. Friendly people and excellent service. Meals were £14 beer £5.60.

One of the best pubs in London, and definitely the best in Greenwich. This period old pub is full of character, has the best location in the old historic part of Greenwich, has the best service and is very special in any way. Relaxed and laid back atmosphere attracts locals and visitors alike. The pub has several seating areas, inside the pub itself, and two open courtyards, plus one summer place which is a small round place in the back of the pub before going out on to the open courtyard. This seating is especially comfortable and romantic in the rain. The pub has special prices for students, or at least it had in the past, a couple of years ago, when I used to visit it with my friends. Overall, highly recommended historic pub with plenty of character and quite affordable prices !!! ♥️

Very helpful staff everyone was smiling when approached or asked questions. Room was impressive great size comfy beds clean all facilities in the room aswell. Great breakfast again very helpful staff in the morning would definitely if staying in the area I would stay again.

The interior and general atmosphere of this pub are really lovely - however unfortunately quite a few of the staff do often seem like they resent you for being there at all and as if serving you is a real inconvenience - most notably the lady with long red hair and the young WOC. They don't have a remotely friendly attitude (and I've worked years in hospitality/customer service so don't say this flippantly), and it's finally put us off coming back after spending quite a number of evenings here.

Had a great time at the Mitre. Great atmosphere for a lunch time catch up with friends. Ended up staying all day as they did a great lunchtime deal and then Prosecco £20 a bottle all day Friday, I had no reason to leave! Will definitely be back for a Sunday roast soon! Thx
S. P.
Great little pub, with a cozy atmosphere, and great food.
H. D.
It was another thing, been there few months ago, seems that management have change or something as before menú was short an non appeasable now a variety of menus ( bar snacks, sandwich deals, even chef specials) we try a few bits there it was just lovely atmosphere service food all great
A. S.
Nice venue and pleasant outdoor space, but lots of heavy second-hand smoke. We ordered a light starter and some drinks, but they took forever to arrive. The calamari starter looked great, but it was very tough and chewy. It wasn't crowded and the space was quite relaxing for a Saturday afternoon.
K. A.
Nice food and deserts, great atmosphere, nice interior decor, great for families with kids (on weekdays) and for general gathering with peers.
It gets really busy on weekends therefore pre booking is advisable, however, it’s extremely quiet on weekdays, at least on the Monday we visited.
Can be quite pricey, but for a good meal with the family or special occasion it’s worth it. It’s beautiful with great natural lighting. Sticky toffee desert and chocolate brownie desert both with ice cream are delicious.
C. L.
Lovely pub and friendly staff. Food is good and a wide range of drinks. Tons of space inside. Only downside is toilets are down a small steep spiral staircase, and it gets quite slippy. Just to think about if any mobility issues! Other then that, defo recommend.
T.
Nice pub. Regular satisfying food. Has a good style to it and nice seating. A decent courtyard garden with seating area. Would suggest the conservatory in the back gets a clean. Some pretty impressive cobwebs up there!
C. B.
Popped in with my fiancé for a drink we ended up also having something to eat, and let me say the food did not disappoint, thanks also to Tim who made us feel very welcome, from the moment we entered the bar. We will definitely be visiting again.
M. K.
The old English pub is a good place to enjoy on Saturday as they play music and people dance . Outside table to drink and smoke there. Heating arrangement in garden where you can drink. Staff is friendly and ambience is good. Rates of food and drinks are little as compare to other pubs in area. Accept both credit and debit cards. Visible from road. Parking is difficult. Smoke outside in garden.
D. T.
A spacious airy pub close to all of the attractions in Greenwich. A wide selection of both keg and Cask beers + a fair wine list. Pleasant helpful staff and an enjoyable atmosphere.
G. S.
I went on Sunday, there were options on the online menu that aren’t on the menu in the pub. They used to offer student discount as it used to be written on the wall outside and I saw this on many reviews, I went because of this discount and was disappointed when arriving that they no longer do a discount. The food was nice I’ve had better roasts but also worse, The best parts particularly mentioned were the red wine jus and the gingerbread stuffing. Service was ok, at first no one could find are reserved table and we were told it was booked 45 mins earlier than we had booked it for and told to just look for a table, till another customer mentioned our reservation board on a table so we took our seats. After we had been served our food we found that the service improved and we were better looked after, so it’s possible when we walked in there was more stress on the staff so our experience wasn’t great at first but definitely was much better by the end.

Visited 2 October 2018
Popped in for a drink but only stayed for one. Pint served with an inch of foam that had disappeared by the time the server returned with the change. Without saying anything their body language indicated it wasn't going to be worth the hassle of asking for a top-up.
Large pub which felt a little soulless and the patchwork ceiling takes shabby chic to new levels.
Obviously visited on a bad day because for all the beer likes there were only 2 cask ales on and 2 craft on keg and about 7 generic macro lagers.
N. K.
My brother chose this pub so I could try the English Breakfast, which was on my list for a long time. We visited in the morning and the pub was rather empty, but from the entrance you can feel that you went back in time. The furniture, the setting, the staff, all participate in bringing the history back to live. Of course, the food also tasted really good.
P. C.
Lovely food, great Rosies cider.
a. m.
We had a great experience!! Although the vegan burger could have been more tasty but overall it was good ☺️
T. C.
Sells neck juice. Always a good thing. Cool decor. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed and we were hungry!
D. P.
Covid regulations in place and adhered to.
Staff were excellent and attentive.
The Sunday lunch was truly outstanding. Dessert was amazing.
H. E.
Nice food, nice pub....
J. G.
Lovely set pub. Decent food. Good service. Nice location. Couldn't ask for more really...
F. K.
Food was nice and the same about beer. We sat outside as it was very nice weather and was really lovely to have lunch next to this nice church. They didn’t do table service though so you need to go to make your order inside at the bar but that’s fine.
R. G.
Stayed one night. Room was basic but most importantly clean. Twin bed was comfortable. Considering it was above the pub it was quiet.
Nice pub with a busy friendly atmosphere. Only down side is that they dont do breakfast but there are cafės nearby.
m. p.
Spent lots of time here over 2 days while in Greenwich!!! Very friendly staff, great food and plenty of space inside and out. Ate there twice, food was very good, especially the roast chicken Sunday lunch , which was enormous, and delicious. Shame we live too far away to be able to use more often. Thank you.
E. M.
I always love a visit to the Mitre. Partly nostalgia from the old days and partly just rediscovering a friendly pub.
S.
Went to this bar yesterday afternoon for some drinks and food. Staff were delightful, food was delicious (fish and chips but next time I'll try the roast dinner!) and there's a good drinks menu with some interesting beers. Had a wonderful afternoon here, will certainly be back!
C. T.
Absolutely beautiful pub! Such a hidden gem. Looks deceptively small from the outside but opens out into several areas. One outside for non smoking to the side and a separate outside to the rear for smoking. Large rooms with equally large chairs and sofas, very comfortable and cosy. Everywhere was clean and up to standard. The staff were friendly, hard working and swift with delivering food/ drinks and removing waste.
Only critique is that a lot of the food that caught the eye was out of stock and the food that did come out wasn't as good as I'm sure it could be. The halloumi fries should definitely come with a garlic mayo sauce or something better than plain mayo and sweet Chilli sauce which just didn't do it justice.
However, I will be returning for a longer stay as it was a very pleasant visit!
t. b.
Nothing special. Bar staff really helpful and polite. The bar manager doesn't like Vegans. Told my friend to leave for eating plant food.
D. A.
Spacious and airy pub with decent food and good service. The warm sourdough loaf was amazing.
D. B.
Girl behind the bar was lovely but was let down by the beer. Peroni was awful, tasted sour!
D. C.
Went for a big birthday. Pleasant pub good staff but the Mitchells & Butlers menu is the same as my local on the other side of London. Its a bit too streamlined and expensive. Good pub nonetheless.
Z. B.
Great location – perfect for a quick pint before heading to the cinema – and a nicely done interior.
D. F. H.
Homely pub with some quirky knickknacks and hidden gems across the walls, you might find it hard to know the time. Perfect for family outings or nights out, given the two outdoor areas, a conservatory and the main bar area, there are plenty of seats and places to eat and drink. Being a 5-minute walk from Cutty Sark, it's a convenient pub to visit any day of the week.
k. p.
Excellent food, superbly delicious fish & chips. But was a little noisy at times because of the people drinking in the pub
A. v. O.
Good hotel for citytrip with perfect beds, fine breakfast and lovely pub. Close to the trainstations.
O. F.
Great location and love the outdoor space! Friendly staff but just wouldn't eat there. Got some fries to share and swear the ashtray was bigger than the bowl, they weren't very nice so was OK there wasn't many
L. H.
Booked for 4.30pm to 6.00pm, yesterday and had drinks with crisps. As it approached 6pm, we politely asked if we could stay a teeny bit longer and another 30 mins was added on by the manager. Thanks, guys. Great friendly service 👌
A. A.
The menu can be defined as traditional, with Yorkshire pudding, fish and chips et al., all served in large portions. Nice-looking terrace, quickly filling up on a Sunday evening.
S. R.
Lovely shady spot on a hot day. Very friendly staff.
k. h.
Stayed for 1 night. Really comfy beds, clean and tidy just what was needed. Will definitely return in the future!
A. B.
Lovely place for food and drinks, worth a visit.
D. G.
Had a drink over the weekend, lovely friendly staff.
M. R.
Nice pub, functional with friendly staff and a nice outside area.
S. *.
We enjoyed a gorgeous Sunday roast and admired the different clocks in the surroundings. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and the measures put in place for Covid19 made us feel safe and comfortable. Would definitely recommend... and a big thumbs up from my 6 year old as well :)
M. C.
Lovely pub in a great location and with a good drinks selection. There is a good selection of food including vegan options and myself and my wife had the vegan burger that was delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I would recommend the pub for an evening or just a quick beer. The pub was clearly family and dog friendly as well. Jo/Chris
S. W.
Only had 2 drinks and found it very welcoming
S. E.
Friendly staff, outside rear garden great in decent weather, beer prices reflect location
J. M.
Great selection of tap beers and helpful staff
S. N.
Nice pub in the centre of Greenwich, not too expensive with good, heated outdoor area.
j. d.
Booked a small table for birthday drinks, was my first time at the pub and booked of the back of these reviews....
Had a great time. Great drink selection, great food (Vegan burger was amazing and the bun was delicious). Fantastic staff and a really good band. Will definitely be coming back.
P. G.
Great pint of Doombar. A bit expensive for a pint of ale though.
G. W.
Great fish and chips and gluten free options. Very good menu online allowing you to filter by allergens and the team couldn't have done more to help. They offered to even substitute certain parts of meals to make them gluten free which was very much valued. Some of the crowd were a bit noisy for 8pm on a Saturday, but not too bad, and compared to other pubs in the area, much better service and quieter overall with table availability at a reasonable level.
C.
I stayed at The Mitre. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with good facilities and right amongst the shops and restaurants in Greenwich. Would highly recommend.
C. G.
Nice pub, generally quieter than others in Greenwich
C. D.
We only stopped for drinks, hence I cannot pass comment on the food. However the drinks were reasonably priced for the area and they had a wide selection. The pub itself was quite busy and was well decorated/presented. You could drink inside or out.
The only downside that I could see about the place was that the toilets were down some steep stairs, hence not ideal for less mobile people.
The staff were quite busy as we visited on a Fridayevening, but were still quite friendly and attentive, hence the service was pretty decent and was done with a smile.
The place is kept quite clean. All in all a decent visit and I would go back again.
R. T.
Good service, great selection of drinks. One less star due to them cancelling our reservation for the following week.
R. M.
Only had a couple of pints but the staff were lovely. Kind of adopted the place for a few days while in Greenwich. Thanks x
P. F.
Great little Oasis in the centre of Greenwich..
Very friendly staff and always welcomed with a Smile....
T. T.
Cosy pub in the heart of Greenwich. It has an outdoor space both to the side and at the back. My favourite part is the extension at the back. Great place to sit, have a few drinks and some food. The food is not fine dining but prices are very reasonable so fair from a quality/price ratio. So I would recommend.
S. C.
Stayed here overnight for a concert at the 02 which is a short bus ride away. Arrived early but was allowed to store bags so we could have a wander. Staff in the bar were friendly and welcoming, nice relaxed atmosphere. Room was fine for what we paid and plenty of choice for breakfast.
V. M.
LaGoulette fish heaven.....freshest fish from sea in TUNIS ....for 10 buck you get a lot of sea food grilled right in front of you....tea on sea side with lovely atmosphere is the right choice...little bit crowded in season but always a good choice for fish in north TUNIS.....
B. B.
I visited this pub recently with friends, and have done several times in the past as we live nearby. If you’re going for drinks it’s ok, can get very crowded and noisy but there are several areas inside and out so we normally find somewhere to sit eventually. The food however is just average pub food and the service is slow. I ordered a steak which came 20 minutes after my husbands burger, and was cooked well done when I’d ordered rare. I won’t be going back for the food.
J. Y.
Nice quirky pub (full of clocks) friendly staff unfortunately I never tried their outdoor area but will the next time I visit
S. B.
Good reliable pub. Great drink selection. Took a while for service, but as is to be expected with the post-lock down isolation rules.
Hand sanitiser as you walk in and proper social distancing.
h. a.
This excellent pub with lovely staff is just a few hundred meters from the busy tourist hub but has a relaxed, friendly local feel with great food and delicious beer. We had the chicken wings followed by fish and chips and a burger which were all great quality and were served in good time. The wooden interior gives the pub a traditional atmosphere, but with the big windows, it is also bright and pleasant. We highly recommend a visit.
D. R.
Grade 2 listed public house, I love this place. It’s my go-to default location for beer and Sunday roast in London, especially if meeting in central Greenwich. Always busy (in a good way) and never any stress. I’d highly recommend it. Good accessibility too as everything is street level except, of course, for the toilets. Great selection of beer and staff are really friendly.
T. R.
Regular pub full of students from the nearby University. It is very loud inside.
Service was great, and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive. Beer choices were good.
Now, the food choices were a little limited, especially if you are a vegetarian. They already had very few meat-free options, and when we went to order, one of them was not available anymore.
S. M.
Nice pub. Classy, comfortable. Pretty decor. Good selection of pub food and modern options like beyond meat or a nourish bowl to satisfy veg friends. Decent drinks.
D. G.
beer decent, food decent. staff behind bar rubbish, couldn't understand the most basic of requests, put me off returning to be honest.
S. J.
We liked the ambience in this place. Relaxed cozy and enough space to get the feeling of privacy even when reasonably full
Large variety of tapped beer available to choose and try out, makes it that much more interesting
Food was good. We liked the continental meat board along with fresh sourdough bread and cheese and olives.
Worth a revisit
R. S.
Great food, service was pleasant, plenty of beer brands, I cant complain, the decoration was quite interesting, I like all the little items on display from old clocks to phones photos and miniatures buildings.. it has plenty of space inside and outside, location is amazing too..
J. C.
Had higher expectations of this little pub. The decor was cute and friendly. When ordering was told my first two options were not available that day. Had the bangers and mash instead which was really good. The cheese platter; however, was very small and initially did not come as ordered until this was pointed out to the server. The veggies with the cheese plate also appeared to not have been washed before being served?? Overall, not the best lunch experience.
J.
Great decor, location and drinks. The live music is a great touch, although they could take the volume down a little.
The food was a little dissapointing. The burger was short on filling and came with about a handful of fries. Not what i expect for £12.
Some of the staff members were friendlier and more helpful than others.
S. W.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Booked a double room through laterooms for 2 nights. Staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was absolutely immaculate and looked freshly refurbished. Incredible value for money and i have stayed in worse hotels at double the price.
The pub was indeed busy in a good way and we enjoyed a couple of pints before retiring. Its on a busy bustling road so don't expect the peace and quiet of the countryside. Personally I loved it!
Overall a great clean well kept room, great pub down below and friendly staff. I couldn't fault it
J. K.
Local pub to novotel. We liked it
B. M.
Nice looking pub we visited last Friday, good location. We were only in for a beer. We live in Norway and stayed in Greenwich for a week. We will come back in April. We will visit this nice pub then, and have already made a table reservation for Saturday .Looking forward to listening
to the band.
Y. B.
Roast Sunday lunch for 4 on 3rd Nov. Pub not very busy but had long wait. Meal OK but cook needs to learn how to make Yorkshire puddings, if my own had looked like the 'pancake' I was served I would not have put on plate!!
M. S.
Lovely pub, nicely spaced out, good food, and okay drink list.
A. C.
Excellent pub quiz. The lamb roast wasn't the best I've had but I'll probably try more of their food as I go back for the Sunday quiz in coming weeks. It's advantageously located in the heart of Greenwich and should definitely be checked out.
A. G.
First time back in a pub. Went for a drink with my friend and felt very confident that the staff were taking care if their customers. Very friendly and great service will definitely return when visiting Greenwich
M. T.
Transformed from 20 years ago
Service ok
Central location
i. c.
Very friendly staff, excellent choice of craft beers and the delish warm spiced apple juice, would highly recommend this! Great food and cozy atmosphere!
T. D.
Great local pub with wonderful atmosphere, close to DLR/ train stations. They host wine tastings on a regular basis. We often stop there for drinks on the weekend after being to the park.
R. H.
Lovely hotel in a very well situated tourist town at the heart of Greenwich. Comfortable bedroom, shower and TV facilities with a bar and beer garden. What more could you really want.
s. w.
Charged different prices for same drinks apparently it depends on what time you are there 😡
R. L.
Nice enough, lovely conservatory area at the back. Often empty enough in the day but I hear it fills up on the weekend. Could do with more selection of lunch - they don't offer a sandwich menu.
Good ales on tap.
G. Z.
It was okay, big choice of drinks, reasonable food
A. G.
Friendly staff, good food and decent choice of drinks. Comfortable and relaxed place to enjoy a drink or meal. Would definitely recommend
A. B.
Quiant pub, conviently located and close walking distance to all the attractions like Queen's House and Maritime Museum. Delicious food and nice atmosphere especially out the back in the clock room. Bangers and mash were yum, chips were great with fast and friendly service. A very happy chappy I am!!
M. C.
The food wasn't great... I asked for the meat rare and they brought it back overcooked... stone-hard. The cook needs a cooking class. They save themselves for service. The girl at the bar was very nice and the owner was nice and professional.
D. G.
Good food, Guinness, nice atmosphere
A. H.
Have only been here a couple of times and only for a drink. The pub is welcoming and the staff friendly and efficient. They serve a decent range of beers and soft drinks as well. Next review might cover the wine!
R.
Lovely pub, good location. Just back from a night staying in the bed and breakfast and had a great time. We will return soon, best London accommodation we have had for the money and location and great for the o2. Didn't realise Greenwich was so lovely.
L. C.
Was ok. Had the now normal COVID rules in place.
K. S.
Nice place for a catch up with friends:)
L. H.
The staff at The Mitre were so friendly and warm to us last night. We booked some space and they were helpful, treated us royally and food was really lovely. That's why we return each year at this time. Great Atmosphere too.
C. S.
Excellent atmosphere and a great selection of beer
N. K.
Always love this place for any meal or just drinks, great spaces inside and out
R. S.
First indoor lockdown pint. A short queue to get in as expected, then really well handled throughout. Excellent job from all the staff, and safe as seemed possible
D. P.
Best staff ever and the food is really good too. Client focused: a great local asset.
E.
I love this pub. Extremely spacious and comfortable, with a nice selection of food, which arrived quickly. Good pub grub and mulled wine in winter :)
P. M.
A bit pricy but go there for Sunday pub quiz. Previous quizmaster was excellent, new guy yet to prove himself. Good selection of beers. Nice pub atmosphere but probably for younger crowd as music often very loud.
S.
Really good service. Delicious Sunday Roast. Lovely ambience.
D. B.
Needs some TLC, could be a nice pub though. Service slightly slow & pink gin not very pink!
A.
Nice selection of beers and craft IPA. Good pub food.
M. K.
Nice traditional pub, 👍
A. B.
A great pub in the heart of Greenwich. Very good food, the fried chicken was crisp on the outside and moist inside. The only thing that stops it being a 5* was the toilets which need a refurbishment.
J. H.
Really great food and service. Had the roast beef. Was even lovelier to sit outside and enjoy a lovely family meal.
K. H.
Great hotel in the centre of Greenwich, 5 mins from the DLR station. Stayed here for the London marathon, not running just a spectator. This is a very old establishment and quite quirky. The hotel is above the pub, with the bar staff doubling up for the hotel reception. The rooms are spacious and the floors wonky cause of the age. The facilities are ok, tea and coffee, small fridge in the room. Breakfast was simple, pastries, cereal, toast, juice, tea & coffee. We had a great time here, staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would stay again.
J. C.
Gets busy at weekends in the evenings, has live music which is usually good but loud so not a place for chatting then. Quieter in the day and serves good food (nice Sunday roast) good atmosphere.
P. W.
Nice looking place in great location.
Saw a good band (chain). Good mix of people.
Guinness was OK but good other selection of beer.
S.
Nice little pub, good swift service, nice food and a good selection of beers on tap. A little let down by the quiet atmosphere on a Friday evening...then again it’s quite nice to hear what people are saying.
M. M.
Nice little hotel very friendly staff stayed there for a couple of days probably ready for a little bit of a refurb but enjoyed it
S. D.
Good wine fairly priced.
R. H.
Sorry can't give a better rating as we never ate, but it was a clean and enjoyable pub, was also close to the market in Greenwich, as I said we didn't eat but having said that I would suggest a stop in and enjoy the atmosphere.
F. L.
Nice enough pub, central Greenwich location. Beautiful in the summers with all the flowers outside. Not my favourite watering hole in Greenwich, but beer selection is good. Food is alright, slightly expensive but typical for the area.
D. L.
Very nice place to stay with everything you need nearby, we went to a show at the 02 which was easy travel by bus from here.
Get up for breakfast in the morning and there’s yoghurt fruit or toast with tea and coffee.
Come on guys get the full English going included in the room prices for more stars.
Off to the local cafe for my brekkie 😩
I. P.
Nice pub, good atmosphere, good range of beers. Haven't tried the food yet, but the menu looked good so will return soon
M. K.
Burger was burnt and the bun was over-toasted. Fish and chips were good. Overall the pub is a decent atmosphere and for service.
A. S.
Went for Sunday brunch, at 10am. Ordered veggie breakfast and was disappointed to hear that they'd run out of mushrooms and potatoe rostis already...even though they must've had sacks of potatoes for the Sunday lunches. They didn't offer any alternative, so...as I wasn't having eggs either...I asked for some avocado and a cup of tea. Avocado never arrived and food overall was small portioned and not very tasty. Toast was cold and butter was rock hard. Selection of teas also poor...no Earl Grey or decaf black teas. Milk was served in espresso cups - so with no spout, which seems a little thing to worry about but was just impractical. Pub seems geared up for Sunday roasts, which must be popular as every table had been reserved, but I would not recommend coming here for breakfast/brunch on the weekend.
D. P.
you think its a local pub for local people and you're worried about the 'eyes' you'll get but as you walk in you suddenly become more concerned about why the bar is so low? I loved it! Request a proper pint of Pride whilst wearing your cream chinos & cravat and you'll never look out of place!!
A. M.
Here at lunchtime on a sunny summer's day. Friendly staff and decent pub food. Relaxed atmosphere and quite peaceful seated outside. Worth a try.
T. N.
Friendly staff and crowd, looks nice but the food just isn't very good. Flat Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets look boiled, awful gravy.
J. A.
I have not stayed here but the recent renovations have made it a really nice pub. There is an excellent selection of beers and it is one of only a few places in greenwich that shows football. The staff seemed friendly.
J. W.
Stayed there when we went to O2 to see Dolly Parton. We had two nights great there was music but we enjoyed it and it finished at 12. Staff could not do enough for us friendly and polite. There is plenty to see at Greenwich brilliant.
A. S.
Charming pub with old fashioned fit outs and sports coverage. Avoid during rugby and football events if you don't enjoy a crowd. The conservatory space around the back is a highlight.
J. R.
I like this pub, good selection of beer plus a nice atmosphere. Food is generally decent although I've had the occasional disappointment. Bit expensive but this is Greenwich.
I. P.
Good IPA session beer
J. S.
Nice pub. Unfortunately all three staff didn't know anything about their offer of IPA's, even though the place and their shirts made the impression of being a good place for an Ale lover... Service was oke...
T. F.
A fine pub with lovely blue walls and a glass ceiling, I had fish and chips a portion quite filling. Would like to come back in spring time and stay in the outside tables.
P. G.
Good selection of drinks, outside area wheelchair access.
M. A.
The food was very tasty! Staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere wonderful. Lovely pub.
M. K.
Good cider selection, cozy but nice outdoor seating. Food OK priced considering everywhere else is also expensive. Food took a long time to come out of kitchen.
M. C.
what a brilliant place to visit, if you want to see and feel what a historic pub would have been like then this the place for you.

H. B.
10/10 food and service! I had a Sunday roast here and the staff were quick, friendly, and their Covid19 practices were efficient and unobtrusive
S. C.
Great pub quiz on a Sunday evening, and a decent pint of Guinness. Chicken burger didn't come with advertised avocado, otherwise might have been 5 stars...
T. M.
Nice friendly pub. Good food. Can be a little pricy but is to be expected. But clean and nice quirky environment
V.
Very nice pub, with a pleasant old atmosfere and a luminous "veranda". I really appreciated the food, that for me was very high level for a pub.
P. D.
One of my favorite public houses in Greenwich right up there with the Price of Greenwich and the Cutty Sark further down the river. Great building with a little outside sitting place in the back and alongside the church grounds (cemetery to be exact - to give you that extra philosophical perspective when you sip your cold ale). Plenty of comfortable seating inside, good food, live music from time to time and a neighborhood feel despite sitting in the heart of touristy Greenwich.
P. H.
Nice staff good selection of drinks, good menus
K. L.
Lovely place to have a drink with friends or family
J. P.
Lovely pub, a really good selection of beers, ales and ciders, with a guest craft ale choice at the moment too. Food is decent but not amazing.

nice place and good for a drink after walking around Greenwich. mulled wine not the best ive had. music outside would be good. Cosy enough and would go again
A. C.
Reasonable pub slightly off the beaten tourist path. Cask tends to be standard national offerings. Often music on the weekend as well. Worth an occasional visit.
G. S.
Nice location, decent food. Only the general selection of beer that every pub carries. The staff admitted to not really liking beer or knowing how to recommend based on taste. Disappointing.
j. J.

Friendly staff fish and chips were delish would definitely go back.
e. v.
