h. s.Atmosphere was very relaxing on a Friday afternoon. I ordered a pint of Fuller's beer and a beef burger in bun with triple cooked chips.
The beer was tasty and well kept at the right temperature.
The chips and dipping sauces were nice.
The burger was over-cooked and quite frankly too char-grilled!
Staff came over to ask how the food was when I had my mouth full, I hand gestured her to stay for me to swallow what I had in my mouth so that I could explain it was too burnt, but she must have thought I meant for her to leave me alone and walked away!?!
Anyway, the burger was very small in my opinion (too small) - the meat part taking about 4 bites before it was all gone!
I had a burnt food taste in my mouth after eating the burger so I decided to order a pot of tea and some cheesecake with ice-cream to take the burnt taste away.
Overall this is a nice pub with nice craft beers. I would definitely visit again as there is a nice ambience, but if I ordered the beef burger again I would asked for it to be cooked "medium".
a. m.Great pub for drinks and on food side I would say I had say it was okay. I had lasagna and I wasn’t really pleased. It’s old classical place. Great place to go out friends. Close by bus stop, nearby central and district line, and next to shopping.

D. P.Really nice pub, on a Friday and Saturday it's the pub to be in Ealing, lively, good atmosphere and usually live music. I went last night (6/7/21) and unfortunately the mens bogs was covered in pee, the whole floor was just covered in it, not just the cubical. Next time I'll wear my wellies.

S. J.Beautifully old exterior. Warm interior. The North star is very popular and yet, post covid, is not packed out as it used to be (definitely take advantage of that. It's a lovely place). Every time I look up I see something new. Lager prices will reflect the fashionability of the establishment and its location but unless you're desperate to save a pound or two come and enjoy the experience.

Come back here and must say service was excellent by Fernando. I try hummus which was home made and absolutely amazing.

R. C.This is a pub In Ealing that I love to go. This is a nice place with nice people. I like to spend a quite time with a beer or ale. But you would enjoy with your friends and family as well. I always found a good crowd here and like coming back to the place. Like most London pubs it has the old style interior. Located near the Ealing station and Broadway it’s convenient to get to and not too busy as well. Food is ok.

C. 1.Due to Covid, the set up was standard and acceptable. Nice and clean with a friendly atmosphere. We ordered our drink via the weblink as advised. Drinks took a while to come and when question our order was delivered by a staff member who clearly had no peoples skills. She complained that she only has 2 hands and cannot prepare such an order by herself in a short space of time. Wow!

T. G.Great place to go out during the weekend. Live band on Fridays, 241 burgers tuesday which are awesome! I've been coming here for years and it's my go to in Ealing, and close to the station to allow for the night to carry on into London.

A. K.I won't be going again. We booked a table specifying that we were there to watch the England Euro 2020 match, but were placed on the other end of the room from a 28 inch box. When we complained, we were moodily told we might be able to move at quarter past if a table becomes available, so we chose to wait until then to order drinks. Less than 20 minutes into our time there, the manager came over and told us we "had to order drinks", as though we'd been sitting there for free all night! To their credit, the manager did later reseat us so we were closer to a bigger TV.

We understand upselling is important as now there are way less people in the pub due to the virus but send the waitress so many times while we are still having the previous orders could be annoying :)

B.One of Ealing’s premier pubs. This place has a great atmosphere about it and a wide selection of beers and wines on draft. The outside beer garden is lit up with mahogany and fused warmers.
The clientele is a mixture of urbanites/ locals and trendy hipsters. Generally a good mix that enjoy the atmosphere and beverages on offer.
It’s a shame Leffe has been removed from tap.

D. R.Not the first time I've been here, it's a nice place, the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because there wasn't a drinks menu. Because of social distancing it's table service only which is great, staff are EXTREMELY attentive which was lovely but when ordering drinks I didn't know what was available or how much it would be before ordering. Oh try the katsu chicken burger, it was lush.
P. P.Been here a handful of times, the staff has always been super polite, they've got a good selection of beers (including a handful of gluten free ones, which is awesome to see). Only reason it's a 4/5 is that the smoking area is very crowded and only a small part of it actually has a rain cover.
A. S.This place was great. We went for the birthday party of some friends and were delighted to find it was welcoming to both our infant and our large dog. As soon as staff spotted the dog, we were give a water bowl, and they were extremely courteous when telling us about the watershed for our child. We tried the burgers on the menu, and both they and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Oh, and they have sugar-free soft drinks on tap, another huge plus. All said, we'll definitely be back.

A. M.I come here often!! They have a few vegan options but they're all really great. This is a very open and spacious pub with lots of different seating - bar stools, sofas, chairs.. they also have a really cute garden area with picnic tables. They have live music every weekend and it is such fun place to be whether it's for dancing late on the weekend, meeting a friend for dinner during the week, or an early afternoon pint 👌

D.A delicious, juicy "classic" cheeseburger with crisp skin on fries and onion rings for £12 - not the cheapest, but a very good pub burger, served by a friendly and helpful young fella behind the bar very quickly. One pal similarly enjoyed the same burger, while another opted for the cod goujon sandwich with a large soft drink for £7, which they thought was excellent value also.
I.I’ve North Star a couple times in last Few weeks and was greeted by a lovely friendly lady I sure she said her was Sarah so helpful went above and beyond to help us and all other staff was very helpful and didn’t stop even when customers was left they cleaned each table throughly definitely will going back

J. M.A really cosy and comfortable place to have a drink. You can use the app 'Secret DJ' to play songs on the jukebox. They have a menu with a variety of typical pub grub. The craft beers and ales are delicious and on a rotation so there's always something new to try. The decor is cool, old film posters and food and drink posters. They have an outdoor section which is sheltered in areas.
d. s.Used to be a down at heal old pub but has been greatly improved to be a good venue for food and drink in the heart of Ealing Broadway. Good range of beers. Live music too, if you enjoy pub bands.

M. V.With live music on Friday and Saturday and always really good bands and great atmosphere, this is the perfect watering hole near Ealing Broadway Station. It also has a rear patio and tables for large groups (6-8 people +)
M. T.Since moving to Ealing I have drunk here a number of times, its my local! However, a slightly longer walk finds better establishments. However - a cold drink after a hot tube journey is most welcome. Food is very acceptable. Staffing is mixed - there are good staff but too often let down by their inferior colleagues
J. C.Decent local pub recently refurbished. Really friendly staff with a trendy atmosphere. Food is pub grub but actually quite tasty with a wide selection of beers. There are deals on during the week but it can be a bit on the pricey side given the area. Nice outdoor area as well.
B. S.Decent spot to meet for a post work beer but it doesn't matter if there is one person or one hundred at the bar it will take five minutes to get served. There is some sort of Doctor Who wormhole around that bar that simply prevents prompt service.
Good range of beers, cheap jagerbombs and good selection of food. Just hurry up!

Sadly, they've recently revamped their food menu and gotten rid of their extremely satisfying 'build a burger' options. The new burgers are good but I miss the mac n cheese :(

J. C.I haven't been in this pub for about 20 years. I just popped in to watch the football game this week. The place still retains the old pub feel but is refurbished and clean. They also have pretty decent bar food.

G. J.Probably the best pub in Ealing Broadway, the bear garden in the pub is fantastic. Not only do they serve god food but they have wide variety of drinks especially beers. It is right outside the Ealing Broadway station, so if you happen to be in the neighborhood, do visit the pub.

M. M.I passed by this place countless times but never went in. From the outside it doesn't look much. But once I tried it, twas a revelation. Very chic and cosy inside and the food and service were excellent. Must try for people wandering about Ealing Broadway.

G. B.Still a perfectly reasonable pub these days but used to be so much more. Nose-dived since the refurb two years ago. Refurbishment apparently means 'make the food worse and reduce the beer selection'. It's always busy so get here early if you fancy a table. I once saw Adrian Chiles in here which almost made me knock off another star.
