Reviews of The Old Ship Hammersmith

Refreshing real ale and high quality lunch by the Thames in Hammersmith. The very best in seamless and genuine customer service. Drop anchor at The Old Ship for so worthwhile and fulfilling a sojourn that you will have to return, as I always do, and as you will learn.

Came here to watch the Euros final (thanks to Dave). Lovely conservatory, attentive staff and the food was good. Would definitely return on a less eventful night! Most importantly they do my favourite Cornish drink.

Excellent service. Food was outstanding. portions were very generous. lovely atmosphere and loved the fact that they allow dogs. perfect for when you want a stroll by the river. Highly recommend this restaurant

The staff is very humble and warm. The view from outside seating is beautiful! We had the chicken burger and fish and chips - and despite being quite packed the service was quick! Would Def recommend :)

Lovely pub along the river, great for drinks. Service was efficient but most of the food was average or below
- The pheasant breast was dry and had the bone in
- The polenta on the Braised lamb didn't state it was mash or that it had Olives in it. Very odd flavour anyway, it wasn't very nice
- Padron Peppers were overcooked
- Service was very quick and friendly, well done. Slight point, when we told you the food wasn't as listed there should be some response to that.
I do take into account that its a challenging time at the moment, but the pub was empty so it felt to be more of an effort/ingredient thing rather than a busyness /covid thing

Tasty fish and chips and very generous amount for the price! Lovely ambience and beautiful decor.

I met up with a couple of work colleagues in Hammersmith (where our office is based), and we always reserve a table at the Old Ship. The fish and chips dinner is excellent - always my favourite, and the sticky toffee pudding was equally as tasty. Fantastically furbished, and a very nice setting along the River Thames, whatever the season. Very friendly and amiable staff as well.

We had visitors from overseas and thought of sunday lunch at The Old Ship straightaway as we have come with visitors to London and England before. Our guests really enjoyed the whole English pub by the river experience. Indeed we all enjoyed ourselves. The service was very good. Some of our food we felt was not as good as previous occasions and may have been a bit more expensive? Having said that we had a good time and will most likely return.

A pub on the river with a terrace for views. You can watch the Boat Race go by on a certain day, but mostly the muddy Thames just empties and refills. There's a big bar and a dining room too. Chef Jose produces some good food (try the seafood balls) and homely cooking. It's all efficiently done and staff are friendly. You can get a mulled wine or a coffee if you get too cold.

The burgers here are really nice. The Loaded Plant burger is excellent, got hints of Big Mac sauce and they know their way around the jackfruit. I’m a meat eater and it’s a serious contender, if you want a healthier option please give it a try! Also a good selection of beers and ciders with heated outdoor section. Do it do it
