Better than the average pub. Service was good. We left a bit hungry but prices are decent. Smoked potatoes were a tiny portion and could have been cooked better. Same with the leeks. Bit unfinished

Love what they have done with the place at last this site is how it should be. A busy Tuesday night with lovely staff especially the girl serving us who made the evening. I was sad not to have the pork chop but it means I am for sure going back! The steak was delicious and very easy to share and the mousse with the cream was perfect. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. All the dishes we ordered were excellent - we had a beautifully roasted chicken with sides of grill cabbage and asparagus. Cook to perfection! The ginger cake for dessert was to die for! I cant wait to go back again!!

Sausage rolls are amazing. High quality beer. Great and attentive staff. I really enjoy the atmosphere, looks a bit as of the 40s. Dog friendly. Average age of people seems to be on the 30s. In the restaurant area, there might be families with children.

Great to finally have the Pelican back in full action. The dishes they had were v nice. There's a lovely fireplace and the renovation is mostly working. Improvements: a few main dishes were already finished at 9pm on a week day and acoustics are v poor so it's very loud

Great new pub to replace the Italian Job. Interesting choice of draught beers and unbranded glass ware, also love the gas lit lamps and lovely fireplace inside. Certainly a nice little addition to the tucked away side streets of W11 which hold a few interesting gems. Just not sure about the strange staff uniform which has a bit of a depression era/world war II vibe to it.

Good food, good service, fairly priced, excellent ambience. The place was quite cold and had to put my jacket on while waiting quite a bit before being served, beer selection is not the best. Definitely would recommend but not a die for!

Had a delicious dinner here yesterday with friends. Had mince on toast and turbot with a magical tomato and soft cheese salad and great roasted cauliflower. Excellent service and fun atmosphere. Hope to return soon!

What a find this place is. Without doubt my new favourite pub in London. It was in desperate need for someone to do it up and what a job they have done. Interior is simple, tasteful and very cosy, feels like a proper country pub. The have a bar at the front and a lovely restaurant at the back. We settled in for an excellent bone marrow starter followed by the Onglet steak. Went on Wednesday, have re-booked a big table for Friday, need I say more 5*

Not your average pub food. Its a selective cuisine with good quality products and well prepared.
However, i was shocked that they charged us for the water. I thought that was so cheap and unnecessary. Its not like people arent having drinks. But charging me for water out of the tap is so ridiculous and embarrassing.
