j. p.Myself and my partner are rather new to jazz however, we both thoroughly enjoyed the show! Fantastic intimate venue, 'The Big Mama' has an incredible voice with an outstanding band backing her up! At the end of her performance she was a little upset due to being in pain but that really didn't show when she was singing.
The drinks menu isn't too vast but we weren't really there for the drinks.

The Piano Bar is a super-small place hiding in plain sight that you definitely need to visit if you're after live Jazz music, great service and nice drinks (not too sweet or watery).
Cocktails are all £9.5, service is fast and polite and there's even a comfy sofa in the corner where you can watch the musicians perform; feels more like a concert at your home rather than a bar.
I can highly recommend the Piano Bar Soho if you like Jazz and live music!

E.Love this place! Very unassuming outside that opens into a very classy little bar. Service was immaculate and very friendly. Cocktails are of a high quality and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. Music was very, very good (and I speak as a music teacher!) Fantastic trumpeter. Pianist was en pointe. Lots of fun little musical references woven into the improv which just showed how much fun they were having and so therefore so did we! Love the understated, chic interior. This was only our second visit but when we can find a babysitter again there will be more!

Everything was perfect. We were able to enjoy the exceptional music going on downstairs while still enjoying the intimate feel in the private room. The food and service was wonderful and the room looked beautiful. If you want an intimate venue with amazing music, this is the place. Thank you Piano Bar Soho - we will remember the night forever!

W.My SO and I absolutely loved the atmosphere here. The smoked old fashioned was a cute bit of showmanship, and the wine was very nice. The drinks menu is simple and well-curated, which we liked. The bar is table service only, but the staff are very attentive and efficient, so you rarely have trouble ordering. It is an excellent place to go if you just want to relax and listen to music, although due to the size of the place, I'd only recommend it for couples or very small groups.
A. B.Lovely understated jazz gem in Soho, very inconspicuous entrance point down a side alley away from many of the more rowdy locations in the area. Technically a members bar but very welcoming to the public if there’s room. Wonderful atmosphere with live music every night. Amazing on Wednesday nights with a pianist who can play nearly any song requested from memory - quite astonishing! Service is delightful and beautiful drinks list. Membership is cheap and very worthwhile. A truly blissful little bar with quiet corners for conversation.
C. C.The atmosphere here is so fun. The cocktails are gorgeous, the bubbly is tasty, and the staff are always helpful. It does get a bit crowded on the weekends, and so you might have to squeeze in close to other people. I would highly suggest you become a member if you plan on going more than once, as there is a cover charge.
M. A.This is a great little Jazz bar that’s intimate and reasonably priced (especially considering you are getting good quality live music for free). Ignore the stupid reviews on food quality, venue size and the fact it’s a members bar this is what makes the place great. If you want a large jazz club with all the bells and whistles go to Ronnie Scotts or the Jazz cafe this is a completely different venue and doesn’t try to be more than it is (a nice friendly little jazz club).
A. H.I had the pleasure of returning back to this wonderful little Jazz Bar this week and as always, it delivered. The intimate setting with warm flattering lighting is the perfect place to relax after a long day, impress a partner on a date or a catch up with old friends. Great service, welcoming team, beautiful space and more importantly incredible music - with all these elements coming together I would expect a higher price tag, which is always a bonus. M. B.Extremely relaxing live jazz music, lovely staff and amazing cocktails! Can be a little expensive but you're paying for quality here. Recommend to anyone that love a jazz vibe, and can't say no a fancy drink or two.
C. P.We hosted our engagement party in this great gem of a venue. Hollie was brilliant at listening and helping us plan what we needed for the evening. On the night the team were lovely, attentive and kept things running smoothly. We chose to have the cheese and meat platter which exceeded our expectations - we strongly recommend it for private event hire and will be going back soon to enjoy a relaxed night of good jazz.
j. r.Second visit on Friday 25th Oct. What an awesome evening! Lovely staff and the initial pianist, James, was brilliant. Then his bandmates showed up: saxophonist/caranetist & drummer and played 3 sets. This was honestly one of the very best gigs I've every seen - the jazz was incredible and the way they worked off each and improvised was superb. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and such a lovely place!!
S. E.Long wait to get in but great otherwise. Paid about £40 for a bottle of red, some olives and some cheese for 3 people. The woman on the piano was great and played some classic songs mixed with improv. It is definitely a members club as opposed to a cocktail bar, just keep that in mind.

There is an entry fee of 5 pounds as well, and on weekends it is 10 pounds. There is an yearly membership for i guess 20 pounds.
Seating wise, there is a library and a screening room (to show movies) as well.

J. M.Ok so the place s nice and the live music is really awesome. Yet they have to get serious about their customer service. A bit too laid back anyone can go in if they say they're members there's no checking. The fact that they ask clients for their bank cards and keep them hostage until you ask 4 the bill is crazy unprofessional and illegal. A card with a name and a number and a secret code should not be given to anybody!!! Seriously guys? With a little bit of good management this place can b perfect.

Went with a bunch of friends and could actually hear each other speak in one of the other rooms where there was'nt live music, but there is great live music on the main room if you feel like listening to some good music. Overall great experience.

A. B.The least ostentatious venue in London, looks just like a townhouse from the outside. The only telltale sign there was a bar inside the building was the burly man outside the door with a fat Starbucks mug in one hand and a people counter in the other.
Inside, it feels as if you could feasibly be in what was the front room of a blue plaque poet of the late 19th century. The “stage” is a piano and a singer, but it’s the simplicity of this setup which makes this place so charming. Intimate, great performance, stylish, love it
