Small, one room pub, directly opposite Southwark Tube Station. Loved the boxing memorabilia and received a friendly welcome. Also an attractive building with a street corner aspect; lots of natural light and a good ‘nosey spot’ for people watching. Not a great range of beers at the time of my visit but I believe that they change them around regularly. (All beverages are a personal preference - so not a criticism.) Will definitely return.

Nice pub, only stopped in for a quick drink on the way to eat near borough market. It was busy for a Sunday evening, with a few tables available. Thai food on offer kitchen seemed busy too,but we didn't try any,so,I can't comment.

When my wife and I stumbled upon this place coming out of the tube, we had a hard time believing the Thai food would be any good but we were hungry so we gave it a shot… it was outstanding. The wings, great. The calamari, great (and I don’t even like calamari) The “award winning curry” deserved the award. A very cool combo of a boxing themed pub and outstanding Thai food. Well done, The Ring! (Service was very friendly as well!)

A London corner pub with a boxing heritage, rebuilt following damage sustained during the Blitz, history preceeds this by a couple of hundred years. Great friendly staff, customers and a passing dog. Beer is varied and good too. Music is quirky but fun. Lovely place to have a drink, recommended!

Amazing selection of beers in a trendy bar near to Southwark station. Busy but decent atmosphere. One beer ordered was obviously off and the barman didn't seem to believe it, so knocking off stars for customer service.

Great little pub with Beavertown on tap. The service was second to none and Halloween decorations frightfully good. Walls covered in boxing memorabilia and old boxing reruns on the TV. Food looked and smelt really good too, bit cut we'd already eaten.

Was staying neer by and went to this place a few times. I was amazed! Huge variety of draught beers, great burgers, fish and chips and hot dogs - top that with almost family like service and you get the best place in the area. For sure will visit again!

Yeah, it's a pub innit! Went there under lockdown rules so it was table service or use an app to get drinks. Went went with table service and the chap was really good, kept an eye open and came back when our pints were running low. Music was a bit loud for us, but it was the weekend and quite late when we got there so not unexpected lol. Bogs were in good order too, so nothing to moan about at all.

This pub is really cozy and the staff is super friendly. There are some tables on the outside and although it is close to the road you don't feel surrounded by traffic. The food is amazing! The ring.. what a fantastic cosy pub on the inside and super friendly staff who are all too happy to provide cafe patron. Outside there is some great tables to enjoy some of the splendid beers the have on offer and watch the world go by. Highly highly recommend.

Fun little pub on the corner I popped into for a pint and a board game with a friend. A little cramped, bit good atmosphere. Ended up a little overwhelmed by so many football fans, but that's not their fault. Plus the staff managed them well in the end. Good beer and cider. Cheers!

Stopped in for a late lunch after seeing the food being served outside. I got the beef burger and chips. The burger was tasty and large. Wish the bun wasn't cold though. The chips were the thicker variety, not my favorite but still good. The beer and service was good, pay and order at the bar.

Decent pub on the corner of Blackfriars Road and The Cut, opposite Southwark Underground. Good beers, wines and food plus an Ice cream booth. Lots of boxing memorabilia on the walls celebrating it's history as a pub opposite the site of the very first Marques of Queensbury Rules Boxing Match. Recommended. Update for 2021, now serving amazing Thai inspired snacks, I seriously recommend the squid and the chips with an amazing curry dipping sauce.

This place is great :) Lovely staff. Ordered chicken tenders and chips which were delicious - and my friend and I were kindly given free soft serve in a cone each. Wonderful atmosphere and all reasonably priced. Will happily go back again.

Love this place, right outside the tube station so easy to get to. Food here is reasonably prices considering its location and I've had many hot dogs and fries. There are plenty of beers here plus cider and the usuals. I love that they have games available, had many games of connect 4 in here. Seating is available outside with heaters.

This place is seriously the jewel in the Windmill group's crown. Multitude of taps with old favourites and new brews, great selection on the pumps and the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff in the area. The burgers and dogs are worth a try too. Very highly recommended.

A nice pub conveniently located right next to the southwark tube station. Has a couple of tables outside and a very traditional and clean decor inside. Tried the chips and the onion rings that were both descent. The menu includes burgers, dogs and some usual bites to grab and the beer selection is adequate. Visited on a Tuesday, late afternoon but there was plenty of places to sit and eat or watch a game. All in all the place has a friendly vibe and serves good food and drinks.

I like this is a traditional English pub. They have more than 20 tap for fresh beers always fresh ALE and bitter but also you can order from tap ciders and lager. They have one of the best burger plates and they provide take away and lunch breaks meals.

Handily positioned across the road from Southwark Station. The Old Vic and the Young Vic are just down the road. We treated ourselves for a pre-theatre beer. Served by friendly bar staff and enjoyed top quality well kept beer at a much reduced price for what you would pay inside the theatre. The pub itself is lively and welcoming. Next time we are going out to the theatre, we will be there for a meal as well.

Really delicious restaurant and comfy chilled atmosphere. It might be based on the theme of a boxing ring but their burgers are delicious and don’t pack a punch on the pocket. We had a friendly staff member from Brazil who was really friendly and helped us choose wisely .only thing that I didn’t like was that there weren’t any non pork hot dogs despite having American diner food !

Very nice pub situated just across the road from Southwark tube station. The staff is kind and welcoming and they have a large selection of beers on tap : lager, IPA, Pale ale, porter, etc and ciders. The interior is nice too and there is a good vibe. There is also outdoors seating which makes it ideal to enjoy an afterwork drink while catching a few rays of sunshine

A really good pub a stones throw from Southwark tube station. The selection of craft beers, ales and liquor is really varied and wide. I have seen liquors here that I've not seen for sale in other bars. Not the cheapest establishment but you are paying for something unique to drink. I found the bar staff very friendly even when it was crazy busy.

We found this place down the street from our flat during our week long visit to London for our Arizona Cardinals American Football game. It quickly became our favorite place. We were a fairly large, loud group and the staff didn't even bat an eye. The beer and liqour selection is fantastic and everyone was so friendly. Because it is right out of the Southwark station it was a place people would gather for a drink after work. It's been almost two years since we were there, but we all still talk about The Ring being one of our favorite places!

Good food, good portions and good value. All was going well at The Ring until the vegetarian I was with had a chicken burger placed in front of them. Apparently this was due to some mix up in the kitchen. As a result my now very hungry vegetarian friend had to reorder, wait and then eat their burger on their own once everyone else had finished. Mistakes happen and amends can be made but unfortunately the bar staff were reluctant to make any sort of compensation or gesture in good faith so a star has been deducted.

An all-round pretty ok pub, a little on the small side inside but on people generally stand outside under the awnings. As the name suggest this place has a big boxing connection, with a famous ring located in the area up until the 1930's and the pub is full or memorabilia & history. I've also eaten here a couple of time & found it to be really good for decent bar food & I know they now have big apple hot dogs - definitely going back to try these out!

I understand that everyone has different tastes, but Cineworld hot dogs are better. Generally when people receive a hot dog they are asked if they would like mustard or ketchup on them, although I happen to like both, being given the option would have been nice instead of assuming I like both and dumping it on.

This is a pub. But not just any pub. Tis a pub with a fascinating boxing history. Since the Dickensian era it has shown niche boxing footage on a flat screen tv in the corner of the pub and - guess what - it continues to do this to this very day. See for yourself - and enjoy!

Nice little pub, nestled at the Southwark end of The Cut in Waterloo. Outdoor pub tables all year round, with full-coverage canopies. Friendly, efficient staff, decent (and quirky) selection of beers (boh lagers and ales). TIP: Southwark tube station (Jubilee Line) is right opposite the pub (literally across the road), making The Ring a great "last stop" to visit on your way home - no worrying about how long it will take to get to the nearest tube station!

The ring is a good windmill taverns pub on the Corner of the Cut by Southwark Station. and as such it is quite busy. However the addition of the HotDogs by Big Apple Hot Dogs made what would be a good lunchtime watering hole (with decent looking eats and space to chat) into a busy pub which seemed to brimming with hot dog orders. The service despite the rush was good though did seem to take a bit of time with the second Hot dog Overall a good place and one to return too
