M. K.Great location situated by the river with plenty of outdoor seating. The pub was very busy and there was a very rude member of staff who told us to sit down as we were in his way! He returned and said move, with no further comment. There was no free chairs and plenty of room for is tall, lanky and boney frame to get past. Food was good but marked down because of staff members unprofessional attitude and rudeness.
N. M.Compared to other weatherspoons this one is a bit clunky to get around. Toilets were very messy. Whilst the sun is up you are able to sit by Thames River as it has a large outside bit, which is just lovely.
My experience with the staff here was not good as the waiter slammed our drinks at the table multiple times.
The pizza was alright quite tasty and my friends enjoyed their food too!
P. D.My first trip to a witherspoon for more than 10 years and I loved every minute of it.
It was great to catch up with old friends, meet new friends and generally just hang out with the everydays...it was a good choice - The Rocket. The food was as good as I remembered, there was a variety of dishes on our table and I tried them all. I won't say I wasn't sick the following day, because I was.....the drinks flowed as well and no one complained about any holes in their pockets afterwards. I was particularly impressed by the fact that mostly everything from ordering to paying was done electronically without the fuss of servers getting our orders wrong etc.
The surrounding area was picturesque though I believe I would've enjoyed it more had it been daytime.
I would definitely recommend this spot and I'm looking forward to going there again...soon.
