The Running Horse is a fine, modern pub offering a variety of both cask and keg beers. Fast friendly service from behind the bar. Sunday lunch on offer and looking good, a Yorkshire with the chicken - just how it should be! A good place for a beer and something to eat

Lovely bar some seating outside good beers the Sunday lunch looks really good unfortunately didn't have time today. Will call back next time I'm in London .Prices are reasonable. Call back today for a Sunday lunch really nice food.

I visited this branch for bottomless brunch. The decor was nice and the environment was clean. Food arrived on time and portion size was good. Marco was an excellent host and catered to the demands of 8 women, service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble, even the paper napkins were quality. Thank you so much for ensuring that our afternoon at the running horse was a pleasant one.

After such a bad and disappointing experience, we've been invited back. And let me tell you. It was amazing ! You could definitely see the difference. They had enough staff and they were paying attention to everyone. Our waiter Andres was amazing and really paying attention to all our needs. He was even cracking jokes ! This time we actually got a look at the menu (food/drinks). Such a nice menu with plenty of choices. Burgers were good, beers were good and wine was good ! If the service is like this most nights then you are sure to have a good time ! I recommend. Gracias Andres otra vez ! Completely rubbish ! If I could put 0 stars I would do it. We were waiting for ages for someone to come and see us as we couldn't order from the table with the QR code because we couldn't really understand what number was written. Then when asking the waiter for the table number we were told it was 66 ??? On the picture I can see everything BUT number 66. When we finally managed to talk to the waiter after 30 mins he said he'd take care of us and will bring us the food menu. Food menu never came after waiting over 40 minutes. Not worth it. I definitely do not recommend and will not come back. Waste of time and waste of money.

I had so much fun! Thank you the Head Waiter Marco for looking after us. He kept are glasses topped up and checked in with every course. One of the best brunches I’ve been to in awhile. I will definitely be back soon!

Love this place. One of my favourites. Large pub, with outside space. Allows takeaway drinks if you want to sit on the greens in the sun. Lovely area with sculptures and fountains and running water. Staff is great, provides excellent service. Prices are at par with London average. Very clean. Large bar area so quick to order. Table service is very responsive and quick.

A nice pub with a good selection of draft beers. Can't comment on the food offer as this visit was all about the beer. Table service was quick, efficient and very friendly. I felt for our server as she was constantly rushed off her feet on a very busy Friday evening. She deserved some help. COVID secure measures at the tables and inside the bar are mostly to a high standard but should you be serving customers who are standing in groups on the piazza outside the bar? I don't think so. Also you are required to collect Test & Trace data from every individual customer. I saw no evidence of this happening at all here.

An OK place to eat. We went for bottomless brunch - the first disappointment was that there were no bottomless bellinis, only buck's fizz as they'd run out of peach puree... the service was also very slow to get started which was disappointing as it was late and we were starving! But once they started pouring drinks we were kept nicely topped up, which was great. The food was OK- I ordered waffles which were tasty and plentiful but quite dry and stodgy, but others ordered burgers which were tiny and not really comparable! All in all it was fine- nothing special.

Excellent unlimited Prosecco brunch. Was served by Howard who has been the best waiter we’ve had during multiple Prosecco brunches. He was amazing. The alcohol was free flowing - never had an empty glass. Food was great too. All genuine, home made and delicious. Girlfriend and I loved it! All very covid safe too. Fantastic experience.

Great pub food and decent choice of beers. It was actually a really nice setting for a Tuesday night, with a touch of class as the bar is nicely laid out with no need to shout to get heard. Expect all the classics food wise, as well as some healthier twists (veggie burger available). Reasonably priced and arguably a little cheaper than the average. The place felt new, in a non pretentious way. I definitely recommend it for a pit stop or a friend catch up.

Have eaten here several times and the food is to die for! The open kitchen means you can see it being prepared and I have always loved everything I have eaten here. One of my favourite places in this area! One main driver for me is that it isn't located on a main road, so when the weather is nice people don't crowd onto the street and get heckled by beggars - instead everyone spills out into a nice courtyard with trees and seating! Good selection of ales, lagers and bottled imports with standard pub pricing. I personally haven't tried the food but have been told good things! Staff are also very lovely and friendly!

Nice bar, good selection of drinks both alcoholic and not. Seating is ample but in the evenings it gets busy. Staff are friendly and courteous too. Seating also outside with smoking sections, set off the main road so you can sit pretty much where you like without getting in someones way.

Update on the below: Since the review we were offered free lunch which was sharing boards and few bottles of wine. Service again was great! It’s just a shame they didn’t deliver the first time but they’ve taken actions to compensate us which is nice! Very disappointing Xmas lunch with my team. The food was just below average. The soup was watery pumpkin that went down in 15 spoons. The bread was 1 slice cut in two and just meh - no butter btw. The main - Turkey roast had 2 potatoes - my friend had one. My other friend had so many brussels sprouts I had 3 - Just laughable. The meat was dry, the carrots (3 of them) were undercooked. The veggie wellington was on a bed of sprouts only and it wasn't much either.. They knew they did bad as they brought 4 portions of chips for 14 people.. This costed us £27 for 2 meals or £32 for 3..£27!!! no glass on arrival either. don't get the poached pear desert - it's a tiny pear with some whipped cream on side which is just sad. Save your pennies and go to Pizza Union and bring it back to the office. Not going back there for any meal. positives - the staff was friendly and there were xmas crackers and lucky vouchers for some people to win desert or a pint - but redeemable in Jan..

Good beer. We came here after a Meetup hosted by Habito. It was a warm May evening, and sitting out in the warm evening as darkness slowly descended was very enjoyable. This bar was also convenient for the tube, with Aldgate East just a short amble down the road.
