Reviews of The Sail Loft, Greenwich
U. C.
This pub is definitely a six star. A relatively recent build in 2016 it offers a tasteful and homely atmosphere. Very good service from the rectangular island bar. The layout is modern with generous glazing at the front offering good views over the Thames. An added bonus was that board games were freely available. I taught my teenage daughter to play battleships. I did it too well as the little horror beat me. An excellent pint of pride too.
A. B.
Great dinning area for n the second floor with a nice view of the river. The food was very good too. I do recommend the risotto - very tasty and filling.
S. B.
For a London based Riverside pub in Greenwich this place surprised me.
I was expecting a fairly poor Sunday lunch in terms of food but was pleasantly surprised. My burger tasted fantastic and I eat a lot of burgers, the only let down being the minimal amount of chips. My partner had the Chicken Roast and looked superb too with a giant Yorkshire pud to boot.
A couple of cocktails later and we were ready for a stroll down to the Thames Barrier.
Strongly recommend and cater for allergies too!

Went on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time. Good menu, Pimms and lemonade filled with fruit, staff were really helpful. A seat overlooking the river is best but the atmosphere is good in most seats. Book ahead for inside loft seating even if its just for 2 or 3.
M. A.
Lovely interior design and friendly staff, however, was a bit disappointed with the portions delivered to our table for the price we paid. Toilets clean. Overall enjoyed our experience.
J. O.
Decent Fullers pub on the river, just up from the main thoroughfare of Greenwich so less ‘touristy’. Location is great, good selection of ales. This place is a good size, set over two floors along with outside seating. We visited when ‘The David Attenborough’ (Boaty McBoatface)was moored outside, so best seats in the house for that. Not much to complain about!
I. G.
I was impressed with this pub. Went there one Saturday afternoon for some drinks and food with friends. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick. Food was ok and portions quite big.
I definitely will be coming back especially for the magnificient views.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! My lady wanted to take me out for my birthday and a friend of hers recommended The Sail Loft, because they had a great experience. We don't drive, so we were happy to find that it was a short walk from Cutty Sark Station. The decor is typical for a english Pub/Restaurant, very warm and comfortable. You have the option to be seated outside along the Thames, but it was a bit chilly this day, so we were seated on the first floor by the window, where we had great views of the Thames. The staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly, fun and provided quick service. I took 1 star off because there were a few things on the menu that we wanted, but were sold out which was a bit disappointing, but the staff suggested alternatives and they were great recommendations. Check out the photos, the food portions are WELL worth the money and tastes delicious. We were very satisfied with our overall experience here and would definitely come back with our friends or family.

Nice and warm inside on a stormy night, food didn’t take too long at all, very tasty, great relaxing atmosphere for a Friday night mind you we were dining early.
V. T.
Amazing experience!
Great location, seating arrangements, service, delicious and variety of options in the food and drinks. Fullers ales were amazing rich and dark. Definitely will visit again soon.
Went without reservation but still got the table, however reservation is recommended if you want to sit in specific area.
Keep up the great work team!
T. N.
Great location on the riverside, friendly staff, food came out quick. Great food too! Convenient parking at Waitrose car park.
K. I. D.
Decent food and drinks with a lovely river side view.
Really nice vibe and excellent service.
K.
During the week this place has plenty of space. Charming decor with a sailing theme and pretty decent food quality for a Fullers chain pub!

Visited for family Sunday lunch on a gray day in January 2022. Warm welcome to a new Fuller's venue in a redeveloped section of Greenwich/Deptford river bank. Traditional and vegan Sunday roasts, beers and wine all good (London) value. Very pleasant time was had so we will forgive the forgotten horseradish sauce.
P. E.
This was an excellent location in Greenwich on the banks of the Thames and slightly away from the busy tourist trail. It is perfect for drinks or for a meal or both! The outside seating area is great to watch passers by and boats going by.
A good selection of drinks on the menu to cater for all tastes. The menu is not extensive but does have a good variety of choices and is well catered for vegan/vegetarian options.
We went for the Burger which was well prepared. The food was tasty but not the best burger I have ever had.
Service was good. Not overtly friendly but efficient.
I was also impressed by the inside space and in particular the upstairs which is a great space and ideal for views. It wasn’t being used whilst we were there, perhaps this is due to the current restrictions.
It has adapted to CV well with systems in place to keep the flow of people safe and distanced.
Overall a pleasant bar/restaurant with an ideal, prime location.
J. C.
Good food with an amazing view of the river and canary wharf. The service was fantastic. Must try the baked Alaska!
C. L.
Out of the 3 mains we ordered (and it wasn't an extensive menu by any means), 2 were unavailable - although they had a genuine reason for being unexpectedly busy. Only reason for not getting 5 stars. The location and views were superb and the food was excellent. Staff were nice and friendly, although there was a little bit of a wait. We had a thoroughly nice meal there and I definitely recommend.
J. P.
Great food, excellent service, superb views over the river. Social distancing measures in place. Sunset over the city added to the evening.
E. N.
Great atmosphere, delicious food and amazing views ☺️
M. S.
Nice place to go for a drink and food. Staff were friendly and provided a good level of customer service.

We held our small wedding reception at the Sail Loft in May 2021. From the very first visit, Nicci, Alastair and the team made us feel welcome and like they were just as excited about the day as we were! They looked after every part of the reception, from providing a gluten free menu from my coeliac friend to decorating the Captain's Cabin for us. They also thought of every detail, from making sure our event was Covid-secure to the wonderful chef lending us a beautiful glass cake stand for our wedding cake!
Private hire at the Sail Loft was straightforward, reasonable and an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much for being part of our day!
M. R.
It was really nice to sit in this warm and friendly pub, drinking a beer and a 10 year old single malt and gaze across the river.
D. S.
Nice place for a drink. We chose not to eat here but at an independent on the river in East Greenwich. Reviews for evening dinner were not good enough for us to chance. The words 'tourist trap' from a recent reviewer was enough to put us off. Brewery chains along the river here need to up their game to get business once tourists have left after summer. But a pleasant place for drinks with a nice atmosphere and of course great views across to to the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf-best seen at sunset 🌇
J. T.
Absolutely fantastic service from all the team @ The Sail Loft from the manager, to bar attendants and waitresses who served us on Friday 20th August 2021.
Wanted to thank the manager fitting us in quickly with 8 of us including 4 children without a booking. High chairs were all set up even before we pulled out our children out the push chair. The food was super quick, hot and delicious. So impressed :)
Will definitely visit real soon. Thanks again :)
L. C.
Great night at the Sail loft. Beautiful setting on the river. A nice ambient decor with a comfortable contemporary setting. Reasonably priced menu. And great service. Good steak too! Highly recommended for a quiet evening with family or friends.
G. C.
Food was good, especially the fish and chips which was not greasy at all. Roast pork loin good too. Service was attentive too. Only reason for a 3 star was the manager. No-one likes to hear the first thing when sitting down to enjoy a lunch out "we need this table back by 3.15". 😠
P. E.
We were 5 females on a fun evening out together. We enjoyed sitting in the garden overlooking the river on a very hot evening. I ordered the fish and chips, the fish was nice but I should have sent the chips back they had been cooked a long time. I think some of my companions were struggling to find gluten free options. The service could have been improved, orders for drinks came very fast but food ordering was slow some items being forgotten. As a local who has been there often Id like to see frequent changes to a more modern and fresh menu.
M.
Good knowledge of gluten free options on menu, strong selection of beers, really enjoyed it. Pre 5pm sandwiches with chips good value too.
C. W.
Spacious, modern looking, great location and with nice food & craft beers.
I'd say the prices on the food are a bit high for what you get. Also, they should do smthg about their ventilation as the smell of fish from the kitchen sometimes is a mood killer.
The service was great.
V. I.
Very nice pub with food that is well prepared. Views are amazing as it's right on the water. The staff is very friendly and it is not necessarily too busy as it's a bit further away from the touristy zones of Greenwich.
D. P.
Great location on the Thames. Nice pint of hophead. A decent youngs pub and worthwhile for a quick pint. Nothing special though
N. B.
Splendid food, a splendid view and splendid service. Can’t wait to return!
L.
Exceptionally good Bloody Mary and super welcoming to dogs indoor and outdoor. Def recommended for dog owners!
G. C.
Lovely spot on the Thames, great views of London. Good food and choice of beers, however a bit on the pricey side
G.
Nautical style English pub on the Thames riverside overlooking the Isles of Dogs at the front and Greenwich Cutty Sark to the left, housed in a glass and steel building with the pub on the ground floor and restaurant on the first floors. Very bright with cool staff, good drinks, nice relaxing setting. Food is good though relatively high prices. Recommended
L. K.
If you can get a table during the summer it's really nice. Its a spacious place and family friendly. There is space to get a buggy inside and park it up. The food is half decent pub grub and they have a good selection of beers and wine. The service is good too and the venue is spacious and well laid out with an upstairs. Most importantly it has nice clean toilets
Z.
One of my favourite places in Greenwich. I tried Sunday roast for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommend!
R. M.
Good location right on the river. Drinks service was fast, food service was a bit slow. Off the main high street area, so was fairly quiet. Would pop in again.
J. R.
Lovely food. Great alcoholic mojito. Must have Sticky Toffee pudding. Staff were good except for a funky exchange with the male at the restaurant reception
J. C.
Great venue, staff, views and food. Not the cheapest £18 for a beef roast but it is delicious and they offer big portions! We’ve been two weeks running!
K. H.
I found this place last weekend from walking along the river from Greenwich. I was on Saturday so it is busy but not crowded. I like it here, good for catching up drinks with your friends and family also upstairs there is a restaurant that you need to book in the weekend. You can look out through the big glass window to the Thames.
W. M.
Great atmosphere and location. Live music, wide open plan floor with plenty of seating and standing room. Decent beer selection too. It's a bit out of my way, but I'll be returning next time I'm in the area.
R. A.
Excellent design. Truly beautiful. Lovely to sit on the water. Had great lunch with my best friend. The service was excellent, friendly and welcoming.
S. A.
Managed to find a table for lunch during bank holiday. Food took awhile to arrive once we ordered but it’s forgiven as they were so busy. Anyway once it arrived it was great.
R. B.
Not busy, even in half term. We had booked in advance just in case. Reasonable choice of food at standard prices. Good quality food.
C. H.
Lovely chilled atmosphere mid week, nice food. If you don't like super busy stay away from at weekends. But they serve very nice fresh juices and cocktails.
J. S.
Lovely place to spend some time. Amazing staff, chef, drinks, view and ambiance. See you again very soon! (Dog friendly too)
T.
Great vibe, chill out with a view over River Thames, best fish & chips I've ever had in my life! A little on the expensive side at £14 but worth every single penny.
m. s.
Great location right on the River Thames on the riverside walk from Deptford to Greenwich. Varied drinks menu which isn't over the top price wise & a good selection of beers. Staff efficient without being particularly friendly, but this place is all about the location. Well worth a visit.
D. G.
Very friendly and competent staff.
Reasonable selection of food, with a great selection of drinks.
Dogs are very welcome and provided with a drinking bowl straight away.
Outside seating has a good view of the Thames.
Inside seating is well spaced and very comfortable with a rustic theme.
Food is reasonably priced for the location.
Has become a go to for dining out in Greenwich.
V. P.
BEST PUB FOOD IN SOUTHEAST LONDON!
The grilled cauliflower was particularly spectacular, but we had crab tagliatelle, bone marrow toast, ox cheeks and a black pudding scotch egg which were all amazing.
Great service too.
S. R.
Excellent food and service. Amazing views over the river at sunset. Sunday roast was huge. Great value for money.
S. F.
Ideal location right on the Themes and close to Grenwhich town centre. We had breakfast there, outside because we had the dog with us. Amazing views up and down the river. Very pleasent staff and efficient
My only complaint would be the prices £11.50 for a breakfast our bill came to £51 for three people. The next day we found a lovely little cafe and for exactly the same meal our total bill was £14.98.
R. D. L.
Lovely view of the river whilst eating and having drinks. Not a lot to choose to when it comes to food though.
C. S. (.
Really good fresh food. Roasts were particularly tasty and I was stuffed afterwards! Nice location and we shall visit again for the views and the food 😀
N. S.
Lovely pub with great outdoor seating area. That said, the UK isn't known for its warm weather so to not have any heaters working outdoors (especially right by the Thames) was a real disappointment and we ended up leaving much earlier than planed. Other than that, no complaints. Attentive service, delicious food and an extensive drinks selection
S. P.
Great pub, very spacious, and with friendly staff. We were 2 and they've told us there was a table available so we didn't have to wait and got in in front of a bigger group. Fair decision. Ordered drinks and food. Drinks came straight away but food, simple starter, took half hour. We wanted just plain chips but they didn't have available chips, unless with a main, under the reason that the kitchen was under staff. If you're gonna prepare a main, burger, and fry some chips, why not fry a bigger amount? Sounded very weird excuse for not having chips on the menu.
B. N.
Amazing experience! Food was delicious, great decor and view and most importantly pet friendly too! Loved it.
D. F.
A nice early evening meal and beverage.
I understand it's still pandemic time, but there were issues as to whether we ordered with the team (vast delays between the drinks order and the meal order) or via the website which didn't allow us to add the already ordered drinks to the tab. As a result of the gap in-between us finishing and the plates being cleared, we were unable to have dessert.
I wasn't impressed by this at all, but, will visit again to give them the benefit of the doubt.
The burger was good and the triple fried chips were amazing, tho!

Life as a London Venue finder is certainly busy, but who says work can’t be fun? Mr Flavour and I do love a good research trip and decided to check out some riverside spots. With the chilly winter breeze nipping at our noses, we hopped on a boat to Greenwich for an afternoon of discovery and indulgence.
We picked the right day for a jaunt down the river. The Greenwich Christmas market was in full swing and Mr Flavour proved his Hunter-Gatherer status by grabbing us some warming mulled wine. We strolled along the riverfront to the pleasing tones of the Christmas Choir. Up ahead we spied the Sail Loft. This magnificent venue sits on two floors, with huge glass windows offering splendid views of the City, Canary Wharf, The 02 Arena and the mighty Thames. The interior is fittingly decorated to reflect the Maritime history of the local area. Ship-shape with lacquered woods and rigging rope, this grand and airy space invoked memories of summer holidays by the seaside, even if it was too cold to sit outside.
We dropped anchor at the bar, crewed by the cheeriest of bar staff who were more than happy to offer drinks recommendations. Mr Flavour sipped his favourite pint of London Pride, while I sampled the English Garden cocktail. The pretty colours and flavours of Tanqueray No. Ten Gin, cucumber and citrus were almost vivid enough to bring the Summer sun back out. With whetted appetites, we ventured upstairs to the first-floor restaurant and were shown to the table by our delightful Italian waitress.
We were so captivated by the view from our table that we barely noticed the arrival of the menu. Our starters were lovely: Grilled Squid with coconut & cauliflower purée and curry butter spliced sea and spice to create a tasting-first for us. The miso glazed Ox cheek with Jalapeno puree ticked Mr Flavour’s slow cooked and spicy boxes. We were off to a great start!
Moving onto the mains, we chose a seasonally appropriate Gressingham crispy duck leg with potato, gin compressed blackberries and juniper jus. The rich meatiness of the duck paired beautifully with the Rioja Crianza Marques del Atrio wine. The Chalcroft Farm Beef Burger, with pulled brisket, oak smoked cheddar, chipotle ketchup and Russian Sauce belonged at the Captain’s table. Piled high with prime lean beef and juicy spiciness, I had to work fast to get a taste before Mr Flavour condemned it to the watery depths of his Leviathan belly.
Already chock-full with deliciousness, we were going to take a pass on desserts, but the tantalising menu had other ideas. We ordered a white chocolate marquis with cherry compote and the chocolate brownie with salted caramel & vanilla ice cream, dulche de leche and peanut butter crispies. Both dishes were decadently sublime and reassured us we’d be coming back again for future indulgence. Pleasantly full, we resigned ourselves to having a few more drinks as the setting sun cast a soothing orange glow over the Canary Wharf skyline. London sure looks gorgeous when viewed from The Sail Loft.
All in all, this was a successful afternoon of discovery. We’re sure our clients will love The Sail Loft: Prime location, stunning views, tons of space, lovely food and a tasteful Maritime theme. It’s no wonder they’re so popular. With our mission complete, we set sail into the crisp winter darkness, charting a course for the nearest pub. Anchors away!
M. S.
Great dog friendly and child friendly restaurant with views over the Thames too
A. A.
The Sail Loft is a top pub in a great location, away from the tourist hotspot of central Greenwich. Always buzzing with a great atmosphere at the weekends. The food is pretty good, too. It’s situated next to the Thames meaning you can occasionally catch a Goliath ship parked up opposite. Very nice touch!
S. S.
Definitely enjoyed sitting inside and overlooking the river. Great pub with good food and amazing ambiance.
Tho i had some difficulties with getting my head around online menu as it is different to the one on paper
B. S.
Meal was lovely, but waitress kept coming over to ask if the meal was ok, ask me once and I'm fine but she came over ar least 3-4 times during started and main, felt like we were being rushed, despise the place being practically empty.
O. Y.
Welcoming and cosy gastropub right by the Thames, offering sweeping views of river. Service crew and food are absolute winners; warm hospitality and inventive flavours. Hoping to see a broader variety of craft beers but it’s a Fuller’s joint so I guess there are limits in the procurement department. Love that they’re pup friendly too.
P. L.
Had a very enjoyable and relaxed lunch here with my daughter on way across town to LCY for flight back to Scotland.
M. D.
Good location to sit by the river in Greenwich. Good selection of ales from the hand pumps and quick bar service.
R. H.
Service very good, food very good and very pleasant to sit outside by the River Thames. Only downside is if you like real ale, the only Fullers beer they seem to have on draught is London Pride, no Chiswick, no ESB and no Gales.
L.
Came here for Sunday lunch and had a very nice meal. Outside tables were clean, chairs were comfortable and the views across the Thames were superb. Service was mostly good but seemed disjointed at times.
D. T.
Best coffee i had in a long time!! Bfast a bit small and eggs benedict could be warmer.
M.
Generally nice and friendly. Tipped the staff.
But sent back some under cooked chips. They were never replaced lol.
E. B. d. J.
Large outdoor area on the river. Covered and uncovered. 2 floors indoors with panoramic views over the deck and river. Can imagine this is a prime spot in summer. If you do sit outside take a jacket or blanket as it gets breezy on the river.
Food was lovely. Chef specially accommodated my gluten intolerance and oven baked the fish for me on request. Good choice of beers & wines.
Mixed crowd. Young and old. Family friendly. Large groups to single seaters.
Casual to smart casual dining. Great for all types of celebrations or just a jaunt out and a quick refresher. Bookings taken and Covid restrictions currently in place.
Well worth a visit, a glass and watching the river activity go by.
m. m.
Really nice great food good atmosphere. But a bit pricey lovely place to get get dressed up and it's near the river really lovely. I'd only go back when I got extra money 👌
I. R.
Fantastic pub great location wonderful attentive friendly staff with great food .What more can you ask for and needless to say we can't wait to go back. Thanks to everybody in the team for making us feel so welcome. You are doing everything right.
W. H.
What a spot - located right on the river with an fantastic menu selection and a wide range of drinks on offer! A must visit if your heading to Greenwitch as it decor and finish is fitting for the maritime connection!
M. W.
Always busy on sunny evenings. You have to book. My advice is check the weather and book outside if you can. It faces north so you need to be on the west side to get the evening sunshine. Food is excellent top end pub grub. It's around 11-20 quid for a main and beer 5-7 quid
J. S.
Good food a but noisy inside. I took a disabled lady and they were very courteous and helpful. We will be back
G. W.
Lovely building, overlooking the canary wharf and the river Thames.
Staff were totally great and the chap serving was helpful with local information.
For 4 adults and 4 kids, a few beers with simple main course and childs puddings it was £240 which I didnt think was too bad.
Would definitely go again.
B. M.
Modern pub in a great location. Slightly up river from the Cutty Sark museum. Lots of outdoor seating as well as two levels indoors.
E. S.
Great food and good selection of vegetarian food. Good selection of beer and drinks. Lots of gin cocktails to choose from. Lovely views of the Thames.
M. S.
Outstanding restaurant food was excellent
B. K.
Great for a late weekend lunch and the food was very tasty, exceeded expectations!
K. S.
Great for a riverside drink. We had some gin and tonics and there was a great selection to choose from. Also the menu, both bar snacks and lunch, looked really nice and reasonably priced.
R. G.
Delicious food, good beer, and great view over the river
P. R.
Fairly standard restaurant/pub. Nice meal of fish and chips with plenty of drink options. Had to sit outside (April 2021) due to Covid rules. Looks like there is usually plenty of indoor space plus the river front terrace. Good service, staff helpfull and pleasant.
R. B.
Lovely place to sit by the Thames for a drink. We had Haddock and chips...and to be honest you can get better at the local chip shop. Would only go back for a drink.
K. K.
Sail loft is a lovely friendly place to go.great River View Very welcoming to everyone even the dog 🐕 they bring over a bowl 🥣 water .so the pooch gets a drink to. Defo recomend this is a place to visit. Lovely food. 😍 go and check it out .
J. L.
Nice decor, and nicely set alongside the Thames. But this is as far as the compliments go. It is part of the Fullers group, and offers very mediocre food which I feel is overpriced.
The staff didn’t seem very well trained, albeit they were friendly. One member of staff asked if we had finished eating whilst we had more than half the plate left, practically mid fork-full. Another wanted us to enter our card details before ordering to take a tab, and seemed flummoxed when we both said we only had contactless. Quite limited offerings for drinks also.
Ultimately, there are several better spots nearby by the river which have much more charm, better food, greater drink selection, ambience. The Cutty Sark and The Trafalgar spring to mind.
This very much feels like an establishment which has set it’s bar very low and is just happy to provide the most basic of offerings. I would say it has aimed to be a 3 star joint, and has succeeded.
V. S.
Lovely place for dinner and drinks. Beautiful riverside location. Large open building, with great decor. Wonderful cocktails to add.
J. N.
The service was unclear and very slow, appeared to be short staffed, food was average. Such a shame as weekend and special occasions has always been so good.
P. D.
A bit outside of the main tourist streets with a pleasant outdoor area and nice views. Great food.
C. M.
Really nice view from the terrace. Professionall bar staff and clean, nicely designed bar. Toilet facilities are outstandingly designed too.
B. B.
Had a wonderful time at this restaurant. I booked via Chris the GM the night before who was both open and explained clearly the process and how things work in these unprecedented covid times.
In relation to my eat out experience the views, the staff, the food were top tier .
I in particular would would like to shine a very impressive light on Taylor one of the members of staff. She was friendly, warm and very professional. Considering it was my first time in this establishment, I don't think myself and our group could have been better looked after.
I would 100% recommend this place and myself and my girlfriend will come back sooner rather than later.
Much love and see you soon
M. R.
Nice view, friendly staff and a good coffee :)
M. W.
Went for a drink after shopping, sat outside, was a weekday so wasnt busy and outdoor seating has a nice view of the Thames. Would recommend, on the pricey side but it is a nice location.
M. K.
I have visited many time a good place to have drinks on bank of river Thames
T. B. G.
Amazing view with delicious steak and wine of course 😊
T. J.
Good drinks, stone cold Sunday roast, which was reheated when sent back, not new plate. Lovely skin on the horseradish sauce after it had been in the oven 5 minutes after it came back. Expected a bit better for £18.50... others enjoyed their meals. Guess you have to order from the deep fryer here... charcuterie board also not as good as before
K. H.
Good location, great space, accommodating staff. Food is generally pretty good, but can be a bit hit and miss at busy times. Solid pub for the area.
Y. C.
Lovely views of the Thames at Greenwich. Good natural light at spacious between tables. Food and service was good. I would go there again
E. O.
Great service and delicious fish and chips. If you want to order Sunday roast you should come before 6pm as they are running out of it quickly. It is better to pre-book a table online as it is always quite busy.
I. V.
Amazing Sunday roast with an even better view, accompanied by a nice cider. Is the perfect place
K. L.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and service. Thank you!
E. J.
Incredible food and service. Lovely view of canary wharf and the city.
V. T.
Been here 3 times. Great service, very good food and just fantastic location and view.
L. T.
Great location and lovely brunch menu. Clean and stylish decor. Definitely recommend.
T. P.
I’ve had a consistently good experience here over 4-5 visits. Staff can sometimes be a little unhelpful (certain individuals may have left?!), but the food is generally pretty good and the location hard to beat. The interior setting is well designed and aesthetically pleasing. A great spot for a beer in the evening!
N. K.
Nice Sunday lunch and lots of it too. Dog friendly too. 2 floors but if you want outside have to reserve early. Lots of choices of drinks
K. B.
Just a couple of drinks by the river, very pleasant staff.
c.
Nice restaurant by the river near Cutty Sark, by pub chain Fuller. Nice food and nice atmosphere. Recommend!
L. D.
Nice food but menu limited for choice. Location lovely, service very nice, waitress was excellent and very friendly, would recommend
G. B.
Lovely beers and food. Staff so helpful and friendly too.
J. O.
Great place to chill & chat overlooking the River, lovely staff and beautiful decor
J. C.
Good cocktails, not great wine selection, good food. Nice to sit outside in summer by the river
S. C.
Lovely decor. Nice staff, however found their main menu a little unimpressive. All their desserts had ice-cream thrown in.
Octopus salad I had was nice but a bit salty.
Toilet facilities are clean and spacious.
Would recommend the venue for a quick catch up with friends. However, outside the modern, clean decor and riverside view, it boils down to be just another pub. It is family friendly so with recommend for people with kids.
S. B.
Wow! I have never been in this place before but sure I will return! The waitress was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The Sunday roast and the burger were looking just as great as they tasted!
There was live music downstairs and even though enjoyed it, it was a bit loud for me and for the conversation upstairs. Regardlesd it is an awesome little place by the river with great view, food and music. What more can you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?
M. A.
One of my favorite pubs in London. Nice and modern interior, right next to the river. Two floors with lots of space. Good crowd. Drinks are a little overpriced but it's expected from a place like this. I tried their food a couple of times and it was delicious.
T. C.
Delicious food and great views of the Thames and City.
I came here with my mum for dinner, and glad I did. We both commented on how good the food was, they have a talented chef right now. If you book in advance and ask for it you might get a window seat with fantastic views - around sunset is an ideal time. We had great service too. I look forward to visiting again!
C. W.
Great views and decent pub food.
B. L.
Lovely Dining experience, scenic and a must visit in Greenwich.
L. E.
Good aesthetic inside, trendy, with outdoor riverside seating by the Thames, perfect in the summer, but can get quite busy. Second bar and seating upstairs with great views of the docks. Varied selection of beers and good choice of wines and spirits, especially gins. The restaurant offers a small selection of simple pub classics, with basic vegetarian and vegan options.
C. J.
Very nice spot. Staff were nice etc.
On a sunny summer evening probably the nicest London bar I’ve been to.
A. S.
This is a cool place to enjoy great British and International Food, with breathtaking views right next to the bending Thames. It’s close to the Greenwich foot tunnel and the famous Cutty Sark
J. T.
Nicely decorated pub/restaurant by the river with beautiful views over Canary Wharf. Walking distance from Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Had the most delicious gin and tonic there. Recommended.
J. C.
Attended twice in two weekends as enjoyed it so much. Went for Sunday lunch on both occasions. Although the meal was not the cheapest - the meal was very good and a decent size. Location is great and overlooks the river. Dog friendly on lower bar
P. G.
Excellent place to have lunch. Good selection of ales.
K. K.
Very nice modern pub and restaurant on the Western side of Greenwich and right on the river. Were here in late June 2019 during nice sunny weather, with the outdoor area packed well into the evening with people enjoying the sunshine. I didn't try it myself but believe they also do breakfast/brunch which appears popular.
l. f.
we were served by ruby. she was lovely and very welcoming. the food was great and the service made everything 10x better. thanks Ruby!
L. E.
Possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had! Beautiful view from the patio. One star off for service - went to inquire if we had to order at the bar when no one can to our table (after being seated by the host), and to close our tab at the end.
J. L. N.
Very nice staff and a great view of the river. The food is restaurant quality especially in the cooler months when it’s less busy and the menu gets more ambitious. Weekday nights are quieter and really nice for an excellent meal.
I. K.
Great locations and good food, we tried pumpkin soup and fish and chips, it was lovely and tasty. The view from top floor is amazing overlooking the canary wharf skyline, the staffs were amazi f and very helpful and accommodating. The toilets have baby change facility and very clean and there is a step free entrance and also a lift to get to top floor which was really unexpected and it worked as we had a buggy. All in all great experience and is highly recommended. There are also ample parking available near the restaurant and the nearest one for us was 24 hour Waitrose car park.
f.
Lovely atmosphere, very family oriented and just a great place to meet friends on a short notice. Good beer selection, Fuller's and a few independent breweries. Food is OK, not spectacular by any means. It compensates with spectacular river views.
N. B.
Nice food - had fish and chips - generous portion, great view, good service... not cheap due to prime location, but we enjoyed our meal there.
M. W.
We had our wedding dinner and drinks here. The staff took excellent care of us and the food impressed all our guests. They have a good selection of drinks including beers and the view over the river is beautiful. Such a great place. I would recommend this to anyone.
i. u. (.
Had a work Christmas dinner there and had a great time. Service was prompt and efficient with food coming out very well timed. A skill sadly lacking in many restaurant hosting large parties.
Decor is rather cool and they have a nice view over the river. Of course it was dark out but I bet it's cracking in the summer.
Main issue? Really expensive drinks.
Biggest positive? Fantastic quality cooking.
A. R.
Fantastic atmosphere and food was amazing. Beautiful views of the city and fantastic drinks menu. Only issue was drinks service to the table was a bit slow, but this may have been due to being busy at the time. Still gets 5 stars from me. I will be back!
M. D.
Nice big riverside pub with fine dinning on the top floor.
They have recently re-done their outside seating so it can cope with a lot more people. Great views usually (there is a big cruise liner opposite at the moment)
Very dog friendly but can get pretty busy.
F. K.
I admit that this place impressed the hell out of me. There's family-friendly and then there's the golden ones like this place. The staff our little eight-month old an honoured guest even giving His Majesty two tours of the place. The fact that the food is excellent, the portions generous and the decor warm and welcoming as the staff, only raise this place to landmark status. Be warned however, if you're built like a Space Marine the booth may be a liiiiitle bit snug. Otherwise, top off your visit to Greenwich with a relaxing meal and a restful view of our little city.
J. J.
I'm a simple man, I get fish and chips and a beer I put like!
A. P.
Great staff and drinks menu!
J. v. K.
I first spotted this restaurant wonderfully lit on a nice summer evening and felt like stopping by for a meal. After seeing it was listed as a pub, I was initially sceptical of the quality of food but oh I was blown away. They even have a dedicated head chef and so the food, while generally following the pub food format, tasted amazing. Everything was made fresh and the food was presented as it would in a high tier restaurant. Nothing was too greasy and the flavours were just right.
J. R.
Great location and atmosphere, I usually bring friends visiting London here for a nice pub atmosphere experience. It has a lot of seafood options, good beer selection too. Service is just OK, could be a little friendlier.
j. m.
Modern, clean. A bit chintzy but on the whole a nice bar. Great location too.
S. E. J.
The food was excellent, staff great. Unfortunately we were shoehorned onto a table too small for the party. Luckily, we are all friendly and managed.
Pros: No piped music so conversation was not drowned out by Christmas anthems.
Cons: Drinks were on the expensive side; large Malbec at £10.
L. F.
Lovely pub! Quite expensive though. Good service. Lovely decor. Maybe lower your prices there is alot of competition in Greenwich! Toilets really lovely design. Weird but wonderfully done. Good seating areas. I loved the way the football is kept away from main area!
T. R. B.
The view of the Thames was incredible. The cocktails were not (25 minute wait for someone to make an old fashioned because they didn't know how when it was the first drink on the list?). Still, the ambiance and food were great. Stick with beer and wine and you won't be disappointed.
A. K.
Second time here. Great atmosphere, good service and tasty food. Definitely will be back again
C. P.
Really like this place but still adjusting to new normal. Could do with a bit more managerial oversight and training. Annoying to see unoccupied 'reserved' tables on the terrace, should be a limited hold of say 20/30 mins for no-shows. Unlike other chains, no app for orders, just wave a hand it gets sorted. London Pride and HopHead on the taps (go with Pride!) The upper deck was closed off and I think ought to be opened as this is a sizeable pub that could do more. Patio closes after 9 and ahead of that they stop serving food on terrace.
H. J.
We went on a Sunday, but they didn't have their sandwiches listed, and we didn't fancy a full meal so just stayed for a drink downstairs. The downstairs looked lovely, with a much more relaxed atmosphere than upstairs which is more of a restaurant than a pub. This is definitely a "nice" pub for a day out in Greenwich, rather than somewhere for a few cheapy pints. All the staff were great.
k. r.
Great ambience and vibe. Food was okay. Nice riverside location
J. H.
Very nice place and the staff was lovely and the food....
Y. L.
I had a Birthday party here - staff was very helpful - great food and drinks. One of not many places in Greenwich which do oysters!! Thank you very much for taking a great care of us - definitely will be back soon !!
M. C.
Lovely place just in front of the river. We were a group of friends who likes drink cold beers. It was an amazing sunny day and really hot. Best thing to do was having a lovely fresh and cold beer.
K. R.
Cool place. Nice views of the river. That’s if you like the look of the river Thames.
Good food as well. They’re trying to do something a bit more fancy than your regular modern gastro-pub. However they are executing it better than those deadly places that make a tasteless purée or two and think they’re Michel Roux Jr.
I wouldn’t call it cheap though.
I liked our waiter too. They let me get the kids brownie. Even though I’m not a kid..
By the way, if you like this review head to kibborecords.co.uk to find out more...

S. W.
Really nice spot, out of the way of the main crowd of Greenwich but still overlooking the river. Cocktails, wine and beer on offer. Wasn't a huge fan of the food menu, not because it wasn't good quality just didn't fancy what they had. Not too expensive
M. H.
Well worth the view and trip to this riverside brassiere. The view is far better than the food which was over salted. The salad selection is poor. A menu review needs to be done if it will attract more than weekend locals and day trippers.
I would go again but only for drink and views.
The upper floor has even better views. Shame about the food.
E. R. C.
The Sail Loft is always a great choice! Great location and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, otherwise you can stand with your drink by the riverside which is also nice. The food is also great! I've tried a meat/cheese platter and the pan-fried chicken which was very succulent :)
P. K.
A Fullers pub with excellent beer and friendly, efficient service. We had lunch here that was good value as it was freshly cooked (not ping food). As it is right by the Thames you can watch the boats go by as you dine.
T. M.
Thames side Fullers pub with river side veranda and upper floor, again with great river views. Ales are served at a perfect temperature and are of excellent quality. Staff are friendly and helpful; pub is a little out of Greenwich it's self but is well worth seeking out.
N. G.
Right on the river with clear views in both directions it’s a nautically themed pub with Fullers prices and range.
Upstairs is more intimate but avoid on a warm day as it only has tiny windows at the top to let air in. But the function food/buffet is good and it is great around sunset.
You also won’t be able to see West as easily due to the ‘Captains Room’ which is available for hire ... with a hat.
O. U.
Beautifully finished modern pub serving well cooked dishes. Split on two levels with patios outside for those wanting to have a closer feel of the thames walk. This pub oberlooks the thames river offering a fantastic view. However I found their food and drinks quite pricy. Nice experience in general for family and private outings/events
R. S.
Lovely views, sadly not the most friendly staff which completely put us off
M. C.
Good food in a very modern and well thought out pub. There are good view of the Thames through floor to ceiling windows and the restaurant has avoided the sin of cramming the tables as close together as possible to the detriment of the customers. It's not cheap but the food was varied and very tasty with some good healthy choices
On this visit I'd have to agree with another review that the food was oversalted. Otherwise I still enjoyed the visit
Z. D.
A hidden gem really. Stunning views, still not too popular so you can get relatively quiet time on the terrace overlooking Canary Wharf. Decent food. Service genuinely nice and trying hard, but I think overstretched - we had to ask twice at the bar for service...
C. D.
Lovely pub with beautiful views by the river. Outside seating space is very comfy. Food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly.
Bartenders knew how to make cocktails properly which was surprising in a good way, because pub cocktails are usually not that great!
B. M.
It's a great pub with outdoor seating and a great view of the Thames, but it's quite expensive.
W. A.
Great views, amazing place and good staff. The Mojito was good.
B. L.
Pleasant atmosphere, good beer selection and decor, but the food is where this place really shines. The head chef is a Duck & Waffle alumnus and the staff mostly Italian, which leads to an exceptional quality of food, including some fresh takes on pub grub classics. In particular, the scotch egg made with tea & hop smoked haddock raises the bar.
Dog-friendly and a great selection of cocktails.
P. R.
Nice Ocean themed pub with reasonable prices
J. S.
Great location, overlooking the river, and lovely surroundings. They've put a lot of thought into the decor and the details, such as free water on the bar, are well considered. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat, so do call ahead and reserve space.
S. F.
Great location in summer especially. Service is a little mixed... seem to rather leave customers standing when there are plenty of tables. Reservations may or may not turn up so treat your current customers better or they won't return. Otherwise another great Greenwich pub on the river.
G. M.
The grilled cauliflower was particularly spectacular, but we had crab tagliatelle, bone marrow toast, ox cheeks and a black pudding scotch egg which were all amazing.
Great service too.
W. G.
Lovely place to sit and look over the water. Great location. Tho staff could have better hospitality training in explaining when food items are not available on the menu. Over all a nice place. Food quite basic for the price.
T. M. S.
I love this place for the location and views the 'realness' of the service and the food- in that order.
Unfortunately the last time I visited, the £25 Steak main course was decidedly under-par and I had to return it, only to have it replaced and still be lacking.
We spent a fortune overall for a typical Friday lunchtime so I was disappointed that no discount was offered...
Despite the absolutely delicious Starters and cool waiting staff, I shall try the newly-opened Oyster Catcher next door next time I'm in the area.
I. K.
Perfect for dining and view of the Thames. Was live music in the background. Not too loud. Just loud enough to hear and can still talk with those around u. Was nice just sipping wine and taking in the view.
M. E. D.
Very Cosy and modern atmosphere. The Staff is very nice and polite. This pub next to the River Thames and facing Canary Wharf is ideal for watching the sun set by the river
H. H.
All the food is way too posh so normal potatoes are disgusting but if you like that then this is good
J. H.
Already love this place for a good gin and was pleasantly surprised at their restaurant tonight! They were very accommodating with my strict diet and gave me a Fish & Chips with a gluten and dairy free twist. It was delicious, thank you!
M. B.
Very nice modern pub and restaurant with industrial desing on the Western side of Greenwich and right in front of the river. Were here ilast week during nice sunny weather, with the outdoor area packed well into the evening with people enjoying the sunshine. Lovely selection of wines and beers. Is up to you what to choose.
B. G.
This is a wonderful place to eat and drink. The staff are wonderful. We will be coming back again and again.
K. B.
Had my 30th birthday there in the upstairs semi-private space! It was definitely a fab evening, and the views of London were breathtaking. Reasonably priced food and drinks too, and great service from the staff who looked after us on the night.
R. L.
Modern Boozer overlooking the Thames. Food is pretty good and they have a decent choice of beers. Its a fullers owned pub so you get what it says on the tin. Well worth a visit if your in the area.
P. W.
Spent a very nice Saturday afternoon drinking the afternoon away. After an initial doubt over its very existence (it's on the river, off the main roads) I was delighted to spend a few hours boozing and even sampled the food (which was also exceptionally good) somethings seemed a little expensive (£10 bloody Mary's, but the size was impressive) but all in, highly recommend visiting. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.
M. S.
Nice place, a bit pricey though. Fish and chips for about £14 but a huge and delicious portion so well worth it. Expect 12.5% service charge included in your bill. At the moment there is a chance to get a free drink once you sign up for their newsletter before visiting.
B. B.
Modern, spacious and lively gastropub. Staff is friendly and attentive. I really liked it had a local feel to it - although it’s located right by the river you don’t get a feeling it’s filled with tourists as in some other areas in Greenwich. We have organised family events there and the space upstairs worked really well for that purpose.
N. G.
Lovely and cosy, with great views and outdoor space
A. O.
It's a really lovely gastro pub with amazing views and lovely atmosphere. The staff are nice. I haven't tried the food yet, but definitely coming again to try!
M. M.
Great venue, lovely staff, fairly priced and I had a fantastic fish and chips. Will definitely go back.
P.
Pleasant riverside bar is likely to be a hit with tourists but the pricey drinks and lack of atmosphere may well stop it becoming a locals' haunt. Worth a visit though, especially in summer when the outside seating offers fantastic views of the river.
B. D.
Only stopped for a couple of drinks while walking the dogs Sunday but will definitely go back for an evening.
T. B.
5 oc dinner booking and no prawn starters no steak on a sat sun shining 🙄 staff pleasant and service good covid in place but dissatisfied with the menu
S.
Came in with a party on 6 on Saturday 14th December, it was busy both on food and on the bar, but the bar staff were amazingly inviting, food did not take long and the burger I had was just amazing. Would definitely recommend
S. N.
Been here quite a few times for lunch and the food has always been top notch. The open kitchen shows the brigade doing their stuff and the menu tends to be seasonal, but saying that, you can feast on starters and bar snacks... they reinvent the scotch egg on a regular basis and their Chorizo version was a winner before on the next visit trying a smoked haddock version. The service can be a bit hit and miss, but saying that we have never been in a rush and have just soaked up the view of the river which is one of the best. It can be noisy in the evenings and booking is a must for later in the day. It's also won a CAMRA award, so worth a visit.
A. S.
Really lovely meal and was able to bring my dogs which was fab! Staff are super friendly, but quite oddly if you want gravy with your Sunday dinner you have to ask for it seperately (who doesn't have gravy on a Sunday roast?!) will definitely be returning! Make sure to book though - we had to wait for a table
J. F.
Nice drinks with a great view.
S. W.
Beautiful pub right on the riverside!
s. G.
Service is very good and staff very friendly. Views are fantastic if you manage to get a table outside. Food is good too but not fantastic.
A. (.
Nice food, very friendly service and of course a beautiful view on the river!
N. J.
Beautiful pub, but massively overpriced. Had a Sunday roast for £18, which is on the higher end of competitive, but it really was poor (undercooked roast potatoes are never acceptable).
At £5.40 for a pint, there are also much more affordable pubs in Greenwich.
Shame really as it looked like a nice place to go for a drink.
C. S.
Love this place. Great food, great drinks, amazing location. One suggestion: charges 12.5% tip as standard. Why not let the customers decide how good the service is. Surely this would also motivate the staff to provide even better service?
A. P.
Delicious (!!!) dinner (I recommend the venison) and nice staff. Great view, fair prices, clean and modern washrooms. Just didnt like the white house wine much, but loved the gin cocktail.
E. R.
If you are lucky enough to get a view without a great big cruise ship, then worth the expensive pint!
T. S.
Big pub with great views. Prices are on the high side and you must keep an eye on the bill. It has already happen to me twice that they charged the wrong price for an item. Food is of good quality and service is normally quite good. Good choice of drinks too.
E. C.
Great pub, lovely location and great service. Doing a good job despite the restrictions - but if going at the weekend book as it gets busy. Love it!
d. g.
Great location spoilt by broken glass on patio under table, had dog with me. Disappointed by lack of cask/keg fullers beer.
D. S. M.
It's your classic pub with a slight twist of fanciness. It's got a bit of a sailing decoration and it's right by the Thames, which is super nice except for it being brown.
The food is pretty good, definitely above British pub average.
D. T.
Decent ambience, helpful and efficient staff and good selection of beverages. Food looked appetising, although we didn't eat but we do intend on returning to sample the menu.
R. R.
We had a busy day viewing all the sights in Greenwich, enjoyed cocktails, lovely setting. My Daughter and I throughly enjoyed after a busy day.
M. M.
Decent food, nice atmosphere but some odd ideas on naming their puddings.
For instance, 'Orange doughnut cheesecake' would have been a much better name than 'Blood orange savarin cheesecake' which unfairly raised expectations of receiving a cheesecake that tasted of blood oranges (a particular favourite of mine) only to receive an orange doughnut which was basically a plain cheesecake in disguise.
Despite the ludicrously inappropriate naming of that dish, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and professional and I'd recommend The Sail Loft if you're in the area and looking for somewhere to eat and/or drink.
EDIT FOR REPLY : I realise it was innocent and yes if I come back I'm sure you'll get 5 stars next time 😁
G. C.
Nice view, loads of space, just off the beaten track, bit pricey though
F. O.
The food was lovely and the service was great so didn't mind paying the service charge. The location is ideal and the ambience inside was to my liking.
B. P.
The Sail Loft is a great spot to grab a beer along the Thames, if you go upstairs you can get lovely views back over towards Greenwich. Normally i would recommend historic pubs, but even thou this is a new build, i really like it, its just of the tourist route, so not as rammed as others.
O. S.
A well situated Gastro Pub located by the Thames in Greenwich.
It is spread over two floors and the decor is what I would call Urban Casual. The place is spacious and the furniture is utilitarian.
Although we did not have a reservation we were quickly accommodated upstairs were we selected a table by their lovely floor to ceiling windows which provides a great view of the Thames and opposite bank.
For starters we ordered the Crispy Squid, the Chicken liver Parfait and the Hummus Babagaroush.
For our mains we enjoyed the Battered Haddock, minted mushy peas and Triple fried chips as well as the Chicken Burgher.
The food was very good especially the Battered Haddock which was fresh and a good sized portion.
The meal was accompanied by a nice bottle of Gavi.
The staff were very friendly and efficient and they have good social distancing measures in place.
The location is ideal for visitors to the Cutty Sark and I can imagine that it is very busy during the summer and in the evenings.
We shall no doubt visit again in future.
J. H.
Very poor menu options. Expected better from Fullers and Sail Loft. The food we had was OK but could've had better from Wetherspoons. Won't be returning for the near future
M. W.
Really nice place with perfectly cooked lamb. Only problem is the manager who wanted to give me a Spanish Inquisition when I sat upstairs in the dining area when there were no seats downstairs on my own in anticipation of my friends
T. N.
Good pub with decent seating inside & out.
No aircon but being on the river front it's not absolutely necessary.
Food is a bit overpriced and limited if you want a simple snack (overly complicated choices imo).
A hot spot for post work drinks, especially in the summer Thursday & Fridays.
F. L.
Nicely situated right on the river with great views. Excellent in the summer weather with the outdoor seating and open doors/windows. A tad expensive, but not so surprising for Greenwich. A must visit on a hot summer's day.
D. B.
Have visited the Sail Loft numerous times and am yet to be disappointed.
We normally visit the restaurant upstairs. If you're able to get a table by the window the views across the river are great!
Foodwise the menu is simple but good quality. Food tastes fresh and well prepared.
The only issue albeit not a fault of the Sail Loft is the lack of parking. If you're driving we normally utilise the car park of the nearby Waitrose.
t. a.
Nice place to go out with both family and friends. Food is good and views of the River Thames is a bonus. Have visited the Sail Loft a couple of time. :)
J. G.
A great place to enjoy a sun downer overlooking the city. A few heaters outside would be nice when the sun's gone. Excellent selection of drinks particularly spirits.
J. L.
Great position on the Thames watching a beautiful sunset. The food was great too!
m. m.
Lovely pub on the river front, perfect on a sunny day and even better in the summer months with its huge terrasse. Food and drinks are good and service polite.
I. A.
Good location on the river near surrey cut in Greenwich, very beautiful view
2 level bar and restaurant in addition to outdoor seating
Suitable for big gathering and nice drink
I haven't tried the food , the service is quite quick, staff are nice
A. G.
The food was expensive, the waitress was rude. The food and view were good.
R. G.
Fantastic family oriented place, great if you want to have some food and a couple of drinks as a family. Great outside space, with friendly service and not too expensive prices (not the cheapest either!!).
The place is very clean. Parking can be difficult as it is mostly residential parking.
Good selection of beers.
C. W.
Excellent food in a great location next to the river. Not the cheapest, but the quality is worth the extra money. Probably the best fish and chips I have ever had!
C. D.
Great food, good portion size and atmosphere is a pleasant mix of vintage maritime and modern design. Highly recommend.
M. H.
A great location. Good food and service. Popular with large families when I was last there, but the staff were keeping the rest of us away from that. ... much appreciated.
Z. S.
Excellent food, excellent view and excellent staff👌
I. P.
Ooo those lovely espresso martini... it’s perfect!
A. J.
Great location. Friendly staff. Super drinks. We didn't eat there but the menu looked interesting. It was a popular venue.
D. S.
Like it! Very atmospheric and the food is of high quality always, whatever I order.
Update from 31/12/2018:
Incredibly slow service. It is been one hour and there's only two cold starters served! Guys, you need to improve.
M. T.
Bright vibe, large size over 2 floors, good sized portions and great selection of drinks and wine better than most pubs. Good outdoor seating on the river when the sun's out.
J. G.
Reasonable beer prices (for inner London) and unobstructed indoor/outdoor river views. Has a nice airey and inviting atmosphere with the large doors open and a few broad steps down to seating on the riverside pathway/terrace. Nautical theme very much in keeping with Greenwich.
A. U.
The ever popular Greenwich pub is still a best kept secret with great views of canary wharf. Nice seating large I love when the rather imposing viking ship arrives @remnantsrita
a. m.
Atmosphere good food good drinks good music good mood good vibes good life
M. R.
Great place to have a drink and a meal. You can enjoy the beautiful views of the river Thames while having dinner, lunch or just a drink. The atmosphere is nice, friendly and cozy.
h. s.
Lovely food friendly staff great location. Bit expemsive
T. T.
Good pub with nice view of Canary Wharf and Thames river. The location is great. Food is on the expensive side though. Guess you pay for the location/view.
L. N.
Food , service , View in that order...all 5 star!!! The Grilled Salmon is a must! The ceviche Starter was lovely and the fish and chips was very good too. Will be coming here again for sure.
S.
Amazing customer service and a good selection of drinks. The staff here are top notch, the prices are reasonable and the location is absolutely lovely, right on the Thames in the historical, world famous area of Greenwich. Highly recommended.
T. P.
Nicely decorated modern Fuller's pub with a great view of the river. I can see several reviews saying food is delicious, I've only been for breakfast/brunch which was poor to mediocre.
P. H.
A bit expensive but a nice atmosphere friendly staff
l. r.
Very nice atmosphere and nice drinks! The food was ok not the best but just because i have different taste, very nice served anyway, friendly stuff and nice location and view.
J. M.
Very nice decor and atmosphere but on the pricier end for drinks and food. Live music on Fridays is often ok but can be variable. Good that the place supports local talent though.
A. G.
Lovely place with the river view. Great during the summer months. Food is ok and I feel it is a little overpriced for the quality and considering it is a styled up pub.
C. A.
This is a great little pub with fantastic view of the Thames. The service can be hit and miss and the food is ok. Some of the staff really do try.over all we like going in here specially at summer and having a drink.
M. F.
Fuller's pub on the riverfront. Good atmosphere for a modern establishment managing to keep a local feel. Pricey, but fair play for its location.
L. C.
Great environment but they seemed a little overwhelmed. Only received my food after 40 minutes.
L. G. B.
Whilst my visit was in competition for what looked to be a big wedding party, the service and food was fantastic. You must sit on the sidewalk directly on the water, it's an unfamiliar setting with brilliant taste.
C. S.
Service and environment are very nice. Lovely riverside pub. It does need to change the menu though, it's been the same food since it opened.
S. A.
Lovely location and friendly staff.
Clean and tidy place.
D. C.
Great place, nice interior and good food. Only negative is - menu is a bit limited and needs a bit of an update and is a bit pricey.
s. c.
Great service & food and location overseeing the River...also a good atmosphere! Would go back
T. L.
Varied selection of drinks, great food and even better staff to serve you. My only visit has left me wanting to take my wife there.
The pumpkin soup is rather excellent.
J. Ø.
Love the Sail Loft. Super cosy new age pub with great fullers beers and nice food. Can be a little critical of vegetarian options and tables can fill up very quickly, but still a 5*
N. B.
The best chocolate and salted caramel tart in Greenwich!!!
S. H.
Wow what an amazing visit. The food was awesome and the waiter was very attentive. Dave myself and Sarah had a very enjoyable meal
What was amazing is it was very easy access for 2 Of us who are wheel chair users
Thank you for a wonderful evening
Si .Dave .& Sarah xxx

Absolutely love this place. Came with a friend and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Lighting amazing. Definitely coming back again for the jazz night 😍😎

Great setting, outside seating area is very clean and service was excellent. Inside facilities look excellent, restrooms are very clean. Food was delicious well presented and waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Fab food, friendly staff.. Will be back

Friendly service, welcoming staff, good food, great location - the Sail Loft is a great addition to the Greenwich Riverside. With a great location and view it could be dominated by tourists and have the soulless feel of some of the more central Greenwich pubs, however whether in the pub or the upstairs restaurant, the Sail Loft retains a local pubby atmosphere that is complemented well by its good selection of beers, cocktails and food.
J. B.
Great outside space, view of the Thames and isn't too busy. Great place to have a beer. Although the service can sometimes be a bit slow.
P. M.
Went for Tuesday night Quiz night. Good atmosphere, great views, good beer, companions liked the food, and an enticing discount for quizzers . Don't go, we want to win again!
J. M.
Lovely setting and beautiful views, however we were extremely dissapointed by the amount of food on the plate. For £6 I would expect far more than two bite sized sponges and some cream.
D. G.
Roast belly pork was very tender, plenty on your plate, burger was nice but not a huge meal (just burger and chips) couple of real ales on pump. good service and dog friendly.
S.
Nice pub right on River, nice range of beers price wise a little o the steep side, good outside seating if you can get a table food is ok.
A. F.
Great place for lunch on a sunny day. Hasn’t yet been mobbed by the average Greenwich tourist. Food is pretty good and the service is friendly.
S. E.
Nice venue, friendly staff.
N. L.
Lovely place, great ambience and a view hard to beat. We didn't try anything from their food catalogue but properly enjoyed a cold pimms and a cocktail.
A. P.
Amazing atmosphere nice service and the food I'd good.
S. D.
Ok, very overpriced BUT on a sunny summer's day this is the best pub in London! Why? Well they open the whole front and visitors will get the atmosphere of a seaside luxury restaurant!
M. H.
The Sail Loft is a great new pub by the Thames, a stone's throw from the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. The pub is on the two lower floors of a new building. Ground floor is the main pub area and first floor is mainly the restaurant area.
As it's a Fuller's pub, you van expect a good selection of ales and good cooking.
D. T.
A great pub, a light modern place right on the river. The upstairs is a particularly pleasant place to watch the world go by. Good beer, good food and great staff. Certainly a place to visit
J. H.
Love this place in Greenwich. It's far enough away from the main drag that it's not heaving with tourists and the staff are lovely and friendly. Been here a few times now and always have a great time.
G. L.
Well situated directly on the Thames with great views of Canary Wharf. Service excellent and good choice of drinks but food only so so with limited menu.
D. A.
Lovely place to have a drink, prices not unreasonable. Nice views across the Thames. Big open area, great for a hot day!
F.
Lovely setting. Good service and not too busy unless it's 25 degrees. Didn't order food so won't comment on that
N. M.
Stylish venue with good views of the thames. Usually pretty quiet during the week. However, price of beer is a bit of a joke. £5.90 for a pint of local craft beer.
P. F.
Very nice views and great food, but have docked a star because it's rather pricey, and quite a few beers weren't available.
S. R.
Lovely place with a lovely view
J. H.
Great location and views of the river no matter where you are sat due to floor to ceiling windows. Wide selection of beer and wine and spirits just like other Fullers pubs
L. P.
Part of the Fullers chain with a great view of the river. Still undiscovered and so you can still get a decent seat and enjoy the view and the sunshine in the deck.
Will definately go again!
S.
Great food, amazing views and atmosphere, great funny staff who are always willing to go the extra mile and of course fantastic drinks (even have their own flavoured gin!)
G. E. J.
Lovely in the sunny weather, reasonable selection of beers, we had some bar food which was nice as a snack alongside drinks. Would recommend
S. M.
Decent food and drinks options, nice industrial chic setting with lots of good views. Normally not too hard to table/seat (YMMV).
A. M.
Nice pub with astonishing view on the Thames and Canary Wharf. Good choice of drinks with reasonable prices. Food is ok, but nothing really special.
D. W.
Fantastic burger and chips.
M. B.
Lovely bar/restaurant the food is really good, there is an outside patio area which is great in the summer, it is right on the water front and the views are amazing when the sun goes down
A. W.
Really love the atmosphere and the fact that it's located right by the Thames. A little pricey but the quality of food and drink is great.
A. G.
Amazing setting and stunning views the food was a big let down not you're normal Fuller's pub food very disappointed
C. E.
Beautiful out of the way place, good food, a shame they'd run out of three of the things we wanted to order when there. Best to book if you want food as it can get busy
J. H.
Held a birthday celebration here. Food and wine package offered was great value, service was superb and in general staff made it an excellent evening.
S.
5 of us had Sunday Lunch last weekend. Huge plates of food but still managed to squeeze a dessert in. Yum! Booking a must on a Sunday
R. M.
Great place for a beer in the summer. Staff are really nice. Food is ok, not great for veggie options.

V. T.
Good food, good wine, amazing location and friendly staff. Highly recommended for a happy hour or an informal and pleasant dinner on the river.

S. S.
Very nice. Nice views of the London skyline. Nice drinks, nice looking staff. Bar Manager was a little grumpy hehe! Near the cutty sark too!
H. J.
We visited The Sail Loft for a friend's wedding reception. Great atmosphere, the service was excellent and really good quality food. Will definitely go back.
B. S.
Nice enough pub with very friendly and helpful staff on the river Thames opposite Canary Wharf. Food was pretty good as well.
M. M.
Nice bar over looking the Thames. Good beer selection with speedy service and friendly bar staff. Does get busy at the weekends but well worth a visit.
v. m.
Lovely food and great river views from the dining room, service was adequate and has a good Fullers rangs of libations
T. S.
Excellent pub on the riverside. Beers are nice, well priced. Dog-friendly features makes it really comfortable for dog walkies
S. “. A.
Great pub, friendly staff, beautifully decorated and amazing location. Great for large groups or a drink and food for two.
A. W.
For a friday evening this place has it's own vibe especially with a live singer. Sat upstairs served quickly friendly staff no complaints.
M. T.
Great location but the service downstairs should be more appropriate for a bar. Table service elsewhere is very good although the food is pricey for what it is
H. E.
Lovely scenery, tables outside to enjoy the river view. Staff is nice, and place is clean. Recommended.
C. H.
The restaurant has great view and large space. However, they do not seem to have any food that is catering for gluten free...
D. W.
Wonderful creative food, amazing river views, consistently lovely staff. Top gaff! Loved it!
E. Y.
Nice ambiance, helpful (but a bit slow) service. Food is nothing to call for. I would say this place is more for the view and ambiance than the food.
S. “. A.
Great pub, friendly staff, beautifully decorated and amazing location. Great for large groups or a drink and food for two.
C. D.
Lovely pub with beautiful views by the river. Outside seating space is very comfy. Food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly.
Bartenders knew how to make cocktails properly which was surprising in a good way, because pub cocktails are usually not that great!
L. P.
Part of the Fullers chain with a great view of the river. Still undiscovered and so you can still get a decent seat and enjoy the view and the sunshine in the deck. …
S. C.
Great place. Family friendly. Kn the Thames. Trendy. Great menu. Excellent service from a great team. Highly recommend
M. P. (.
New. Trendy. Amazing staff. Typical and not so typical food. A place to relax and have a coffee. Shame that they only serve breakfast on weekends.
S. J.
Excellent service and brilliant food, staff were friendly and attentive, reasonably priced.
W. K.
Swift service and nice food. Great views and nice decor inside. Great selection of Gin and the octopus..... Always nice
P. D.
Fantastic river views and a nice pint.
M. S.
Absolutely amazing place. Delicious food, more expensive but worth every penny. Cosy in the winter, super hip in the summer.
D. “.
Lovely selection of beer, nice view. Heineken (the second largest beer company in the world) however, is far from being German.
M. S.
Lovely pub, great food. Friendly staff. Special mention and thank you to the manager Diego for his help and assistance.
D. X.
Great great modern pub, family friendly, locals. Good choice of beers, food is brill, lots of effort put by the chef and his team.
N. S.
Very nice location, the coffee is very good but breakfast dishes, although tasty, are a little bit overpriced for the quantity.
A. J.
Nice atmosphere and great that they are dog friendly, but gluten free option left me a bit disappointed.
G. H.
Good Fuller's pub.
