For location, friendliness of the staff, and charm of the hotel this gets five stars. It's so close to Westminster and a metro stop, and a lovely 8 to 10 min walk to Buckingham palace. The pub downstairs really is so convenient and lovely, highly recommended in itself. The included breakfasts are good, lots of choice. There was a little construction outside the hotel during our stay but that's not the hotel's fault. Rooms are clean, charming, and stocked with tea, coffee, and water every day. We loved it, and would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel, staff excellent. Room was very spacious & super comfy, complimentary drinks in the mini fridge. Location excellent.... Within walking distance for a lot of tourist attractions & 2 minutes to nearest tube station. Would definitely book this hotel again.

We loved our stay. Rooms were quaint but still spacious, breakfast was amazing, staff was friendly and accommodating. Very close to many attractions and sites and comes with a great pub. We would definitely recommend staying here on your visit to London.

Pleasant room, nothing overly special but definitely clean. Room was surprisingly quiet considering there is a bar at ground level.
Lovely freshly prepared English breakfast, happy to recommend.

Close to everything in Westminster. This is a nice boutique hotel, with nicely appointed rooms. The restaurant/bar downstairs was super convenient, with traditional English dishes very well made. Try the pies for dinner!

This was a neat little place right down the block from Westminster Abbey. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was incredibly helpful when I had to make an outgoing phone call from a land line. There is also a cozy little pub underneath the hotel. I would stay here again (and hopefully will soon), especially at the reasonable cost.

Been here a few times since the Sanctuary opened. I like it, they serve Fuller's ales and have a good, but not large menu. The ales are usually good, but had wine on this occasion as I was meeting someone for lunch and we shared a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. The barman was friendly and helpful and with large, clear windows it feels light and airy, although the corner we sat in felt a little darker, but cosy. I like the place and would have no hesitation in going back there.

What a fantastic pub, just up the road from Westminster. The food was surprisingly good, really excellent. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice social evening

My husband and I have been here twice on our trip to London.
Our first time was in the evening, had a side salad and chips with alcoholic beverages and our second time was for breakfast.
We found the evening experience much better then the morning as our breakfasts were neatly presented but luke warm cooked breakfasts which was disappointing. We also had to remind staff for the toast we ordered too.
Some staff didn't seem interested in working either.
The atmosphere, style and ambience of the pub is lovely and would recommend drinks and snack food.

Really attractive pub. We were a group of 10 for Xmas meal. Despite how incredibly busy they were food was fantastic and service brilliant

My favourite pub in Westminster. Friendly staff and a good selection of ales on draft. Lots of atmosphere, great for a drink (or two) after work!

I've been coming to this outstanding establishment on remembrance Sunday for 13 years. I can't speak for the rest of the year, as I don't live or work locally, but, the quality of the service, food, drink, is second to none.

Perfect location, lovely breakfast! Rooms were clean and bright, staff were friendly and professional! Great spot to stay in London

Been there for 6 days
Amazing place
Great location near Buckingham palace and the eye of London
Amazing stuff all are so nice
Good wifi connection
Good security door is locked at 21:00
Very good food
Now for the bad
The room not so clean especially the carpeting it's full of stains management should consider deep cleaning them
For me the beds are not very comfortable
And the lights are poorly placed so it's kinda dark in the room
bathtub is a little to high of the floor so you can easily slip and fall
The vent fan in the bathroom doesn't shut off
TLDR
Great place
Great stuff
Not so clean
Needs redesign

Nice hotel, location is convenient, easy to get into town- st james Station is less than a minute walk away. Customer was great. We were served by Valentina in reservation who kindly upgraded our room and fabio who was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay - Gluten free option would have been nice. There was a nice pub downstairs but we were out for the duration of our stay. I would definitely recommend.
k. N.
Good atmosphere good bar staff and one of my favourite beers Hop Head. What's not to like.
A. B.
Stayed as a guest in a hotel, having dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Food was really nice and the restaurant and hotel teams were both very friendly & helpful.
The room is spacious & everything is well organised. Complimentary coffee and water in the room & you can also enjoy your breakfast in the room for a small extra charge.
J. C.
Fabulous hotel.
Perfectly placed for sight seeing, attractions and for this visit, the London marathon.
Fabulous food in the hotel.
D. D.
The staff were lovely and really helpful. The location is great and the pub below the hotel is lovely. The room was a bit dated and the floors were very creaky but the Breakfast/Service was 10/10.
A. W.
Lovely helpful staff .great atmosphere .beautiful bar .comfy rooms .great breakfast

Fantastic location, lovely room and warm, friendly staff. It'll be my go to place to stay in London from now on.

Great location, lovely staff, great breakfast - rooms needs to be renovated.

Great Location, very Friendly Staff and Helpful, lovely Rooms, fab Food and brilliant Pub x😊🍷👍
J. B.
Was good food, but don't order the 'crispy' chicken wings as they come drenched in grease knocking any resemblance of crisp out of the batter. Prices are also steep, but to be expected near London
D. M.
Lovely little pub. Warm and friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Good food menu
I. B.
Great pub, with good selection of ales and genuinely nice staff
L. L.
This Hotel is fabulous. Our room was amazing & a free fridge with Beer, Milk & water supplied. The Location was just brilliant along with the Fuller's pub downstairs. Staff in both were so friendly we can't recommend this enough. When in Westminster stay here. Thank You for a lovely stay & we will be back. Mrs & Mrs London ! 🙂

A wonderful hotel which couldn't be more centrally located just a stone's throw from the Houses of Parliament. We were given a beautiful room on the corner of the building with windows on two sides. Bed was huge and very comfortable. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day. Separate and secure access to the hotel. Price was extremely reasonable considering the location. Definitely recommended.
J. H.
I really enjoyed this hotel, it's a bit pricey but it doesn't disappoint for a great location and free breakfast every morning. The staff was wonderful from the front desk to the cleaning crew. I stayed several days and was able to see all the great sites which were within walking distance(we walk miles easily). If you want the underground it's a block away as well as bus service. We took the piccadilly to the circle line for about 3.40 pound pp to the hotel. Great ride and price. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, food was good and had favor. I would recommend this hotel for location and good accommodation. You will feel comfortable with the accommodations.
P. R.
Excellent location, food and service. Very clean hotel.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel.
Upon arrival we had a pleasant experience every thing went smooth.
Once we get into the room we were shocked
It has a coffee machine, robes and most of the 5* stuff.
We went out and came to find BF menus on the bed and chocolates.
We decided to have BF on the room so we filled the form and next day on time we had BF at room for 3£ per person.
I really love our stay and would come back again

This place was ideally located for us in the Westminster area, easy walking distance to St. James Park, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, and the London Eye. We stayed here with our 11 year old daughter and had more than enough room for the three of us. Accommodation's were comfortable, clean, and safe. Breakfast was included with our stay, which was great. However, I did not develop a full appreciation for Black Pudding during our stay. Building was older and gave you a sense of staying in old London in a modern neighbourhood. The restaurant/ pub served a nice variety of delicious meat pies and the service was very friendly and quick. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend our friends and family to do the same. We certainly felt we got our moneys worth here.
N. R.
Good prices, great beer, tasty food and friendly staff
J. T.
Noisy room, dated but clean! Breakfast was the most disappointing part
J. C.
Nice pub with nice friendly staff. They have a wide selection of beers, spirits and wine. Food was great too
L. L.
Friendly welcome and the facilities are brilliant. In the room theres a coffee maker in addition to the usual teas and coffees, and a small bottle of milk in the fridge along with a free bottle of ale! Big plus for me, there are plugs by the bed - so important for charging phones overnight. Also, a gentleman knocked on my door to check I was happy with everything and offered me a chocolate. All very nice touches after a days work. Thoroughly recommend it.
B. S.
Excellent hotel with great rooms and a great location. Breakfast is included. The pub downstairs has good food, a nice selection of beers and good service. It is also know as know as a Fuller's Ale & Pie House. When you arrive at the the hotel go up one flight of stairs or use the lift to the reception desk. If you arrive early they will store your luggage.

Brilliant Hotel staff were awesome which was 7 minutes away from Westminster Q-park, I booked Sanctuary House because of it location to Parliament Square kind regards Paul
D. L.
Staff superb and super friendly nothing too much trouble. Food and beverage selection very impressive and lovely building in a great central location.
C. N.
This is a gem. Right in the middle of it all. The rooms are well appointed and the staff is above average, extremely helpful and friendly no matter what time of day or night. The Pub was also very nice. I would highly recommend staying here. This Hotel will not disappoint!
J. C.
This place is lovely to go out for lunch.
They have really friendly staff and the patrons are families, friends and single office workers. Everyone seems welcome here.
They always have a great selection of drinks and i love the food.
Will make this a regular haunt for me because of this xx
S. T.
What a nice hotel. 2 min from Westminster Abbey, staff is very friendly, rooms are large, quite, with everything you might need for your trip including complimentary water, beer and milk in your room, toothbrushing kit, sawing kit, you name it. Breakfast is included and is very nice. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in London.

I did not stay at this location while visiting London it was recommended to me as a good place to have a good beer and good food. It was a little different as far as being serviced in the bar area than I'm used to. Being from the US even sitting in the bar area there is a little table service but here in London it's a little different. You order at bar and find a spot to sit. The food was good, the beers were great. My only complaint was the attitude and demeanor of the bartender. He seemed disinterested in helping or answering question when trying to figure out how we get service for food. He just frowned and said if you want dinner sit over there or if you want hot snacks have a seat, but never did answered my questions nor tell us we needed to order first at bar then sit. We sat there about 20mins before we were able to stop a waitress to ask her and she explained it to us. Which was cool at that point. When we went back up to order there was second guy who was much nicer and friendlier that helped us out, took orders, and was polite about it all. Had the first guy been nice I'd given the review 5 stars but bad attitudes deserve less stars.
J. S.
The room was very nice and clean and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is in the pub downstairs and their service is very fast. The hotel has a good location, only a couple of streets away from Westminster Abbey and on a 5 minute walk from Buckingham Palace.
A. K.
Popped in for food after a very long day. I had been traveling and working since 4am and by 6pm, I was ready to eat! I ordered the Norfolk Chicken in Tarragon sauce. Oh my word! It was absolutely delicious. So much so, that I am coming back tomorrow night for the same thing. I will remember to take a photo tomorrow, for you to judge for yourselves. The staff were also lovely, and made my visit a welcoming one. Recommended highly!
G. S.
A great little Fuller's pub in central London with a good and wide selection of beers at relatively good prices - much less than some of the nearby competitors. Has a good menu and popular with tourists and the local workforce alike. Staff are friendly, and service is always quite quick, even when it is at its busiest.
G. M.
Clean and quiet. Decent facilities. Good sized rooms. Excellent value for the location. Complimentary bottle of beer in the fridge was a nice touch. Breakfast cooked to order in the morning. I'd definitely stay here again.

Around the corner from our hotel, we stopped in for lunch on our last day in London. It has this super authentic London pub/historic site feel to it which was a big draw. We were seated right away by this lovely gal who was also our server and she took our drink orders. We had pies... of course, particularly given they tout they have amazing fresh pies. The hubs got the steak pie/mash and I got the veggie pie/chips. Oh my they were SOOOO good! Even the steamed cabbage/beans was delicious. My husband had gotten the steak pie from the Feathers up the street two days prior and he remarked that the steak pie here was far more tasty and flavorful. I have to say my veggie pie was chock full of flavor and I ate every bit of it.
Definitely a fan and by the looks of how busy it was I am guessing despite the mixed (and older) reviews that many others are fans also!

Great Fuller pub offering hotel accommodation. Good sized clean rooms for London in the heart of Westminster. Fridge in room with water and a fullers ale. Breakfast very good but wasn’t the warmest, hence the four stars. Excellent pleasant staff.
R. A.
Delicious food, great customer services, expensive London prices though 😅
H. M.
This is a really handy place situated near st James underground and park as well as Westminster abbey and houses of parliament. Food is of a better standard than usual pub food. Good wine menu and lots of guest ales. Gets busy with the after work crowd for an hour or two but otherwise usually able to get a table. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
L. M.
Stayed one night and juat can't fault the service. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and utterly lovely. Breakfast is served in the pub, the staff were quick and the food was excellent. We were able to store our bags for the day once we checked out so we could have the day out without carrying everything.
G. C.
After a little trip down memory lane where I used to work 40 years ago I stumbled on this fullers pub. Great beer, good food and wonderful staff, given these troubles times. Well worth a visit.
S. S.
I regularly dine here with colleagues on weekday lunch times and can heartily recommend it. Rare to find this kind of quality - both food and service are excellent - in this location, where the constant number of visitors means most places don’t have to try very hard to drum up business. The only downside is that it gets very busy and can become a little cramped.
D. M.
The Sanctuary House Hotel is a great place to stay when on holiday in the UK. While it did take them longer than the check-in time to get a room ready for us, they upgraded us to a deluxe room on the 5th floor, a corner room with multiple windows and a queen sized bed. The staff were very nice, and the hotel is over a bar, serving excellent beer.
R. E.
Recently stayed at the sanctuary hotel, having stayed there several times before.
Reception staff always helpful.
Lovely room over looking the main Rd.
Very conveniently located near Westminster and the Tube station st james.
A beautiful breakfast to set you up for the day.
Must say they have great meals on offer at the bar which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Can't wait for our next visit.
Would highly reccomend a stay there.
J. M.
The location is excellent and the room was very nice.
We were however disappointed with the fact that the AC unit was broken, a fact fully known by the establishment which apparently is affecting about 15 rooms for about 2 months.
They were able to get us a fan, and the temperature dropped enough that it was a non-issue but I felt it was a little deceitful to book the rooms with AC advertised.
L. S.
Great pie shop! Liked the steak & ale and chicken madras pies. Fresh mash and delicious gravy. Vegetables are fresh and tasty. Service was alright.
r.
Large friendly pub with plenty of tables and seats. A melting pot of locals and tourists. Good ale and food looked good although we didn't eat. Quick service despite being very busy. Liked it.
T. K.
Brilliant service from the staff, we were allowed to taste a couple of beers before deciding which one we were going to buy. The pie I had was the best I have ever had. It was so delicious I only wish I had all of them on the menu. Do yourself a favour and go to this pub
R. B.
I was greeted by a young lady whose smile wod lighten a darkend room. Room was sufficiant with a half decent ned to rest my head.
M. S.
I was really happy with this hotel. Very accommodating when checking in early on London marathon day. Room was lovely and clean, and great facilities. Breakfast included. Would recommend. Great location and so close to the underground. Thank you
P. F.
Mixed reviews here. Mattress was uncomfortable for me. Duvet was a winter one not suitable for warm summer evenings. Air conditioning was broken. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. Beer selection in the pub was also good.
E. M.
I ate there only once but I had a really good time there. The food is good, and the staff was nice and polite. The woman who ordered us let us try the different beer so that we can choose, took her time to describe us the meals as we are french. The place is really nice too !
N. C.
Went for lunch for the first time in ages. Pies were back on form and service was good. Apparently the fish and chips were excellent. I don't tend to find the cask beers well kept, but they have a decent selection of bottles that are worth investigating
C. r.
Great location for all sightseeing , beautiful old hotel & pub with really warm welcome from all the staff . Food was great, especialy a really good quality breakfast . Spotlessly clean , comfortable ,quiet room with goodies in fridge ,tea making & nespresso coffee machine all inc . Will definitely re visit when next in city . Fabulous stay ,thanks again everyone @ the sanctuary house hotel .

A really good pub and hotel in the heart of Westminster, near St. James's tube station. A wide offering of Fuller's fair, cask and keg. All sorts of wines and spirits to keep the beer company and a fine offering of food on the menu, including Sunday roasts and a children's menu (a menu offering meals intended for children, just clear up any potential confusion). Lovely attentive staff and a jovial environment, well worth a visit when wondering round the sights of London.
S. “. B.
Stayed 7 days. The staff was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable, felt like home.
The breakfasts every morning were awesome. Great way to start the day. Would stay there again.
D. R.
Good value rooms with breakfast included. 2 minutes from the tube. Central location
D. S.
Fantastic location about 400 yards from Westminster and within walking distance of some of Londons top attractions. Nice hotel and the rooms are comfy. The attached pub underneath caters for breakfast of which there are plenty of options including all the fresh fruits and yoghurt, danish pastries, ham and cheese plus full fry. Slightly worse for wear but clean and comfortable and the staff very attentive.
T. C.
Our stay there was great. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Slight noise on the street later in the night with the pub directly below. Didn't bother us but if your a light sleeper it might be something to keep in mind.
J. M.
Location was 2 minutes walk from St James Park train station and 2 minutes from Westminster Abbey. Room was lovely and being a fuller's hotel even had complementary beer in the fridge. Staff are helpful, haven't had any problems at all. The pub downstairs was also great, English Breakfast there was rather tasty.
J. S.
Awesome place and location...I mean awesome. Rooms were just what'd you think in a pub hotel. The pub had great food and friendly service and of course good beer. It is so close to major attractions in London... They are just steps away.
M. L.
Pleasant enough room but smaller than expected for the price. Also a late check out fee of £60 seemed a little steep as well. Food and WiFi good, so overall a pretty average experience, hence the 3 stars.
A. H.
A very average pub. Nothing special to recommend it. Like most pubs in Westminster it was completely packed on Thursday night but they jealously guarded big empty unbooked tables for "diners". The Westminster Arms is nearby and has more character...
D. C.
Good Fullers pub with attached hotel. Beer kept well. Gets quite busy with the after work crowd and it can be difficult to find seats. Food menu looks appealing (but didn't try anything in this occasion).
C. L.
Nice place. They need a better range of draft beers and more staff behind the bar. Always busy 5-8pm then it gets pretty quiet. Food is just above average.
l. b.
A litetally Sanctuary for some weary drinkers on a Saturday night after finding our first choice closed. Great beer and the food looked amazing. Lovely interior; a real credit to the Fullers brand and all the hard work they put into maintaining it.
D. M.
Great location, right by Westminster Abbey and 5 minutes to Westminster Palace. Rooms were nice, plentiful, tea/coffee etc Breakfast not included but full English on the menu; and they offer a free beer. Recommended
P. S.
This is a wonderful small hotel. The rooms are comfortable, European sized but include a refrigerator which is stocked with complimentary water and beer. Nespresso and tea or hot chocolate as well. Bath has large tub, rain shower and large towels.
L. S.
Bedrooms are beautifully decorated, shame they don't put sound proof windows in. The noise from the pub and the Blue Noar next door emptying their bottles wakes you up. This has the potential with it's location to be so much better with a few improvements.
J. S.
The pies aren't too special but they're great if you're a tourist. Especially recommend the Pie and beer pairing sampler for only 17 pounds. If you are in a rush, make sure to ask for your check ASAP as the service can be a bit slow.
D. R.
Not a bad pub in fairness. It's slap bang in the middle of Westminster, so it's expensive for a drink. Staff were polite and friendly, beer was good. Can't complain too much!
J. S.

Really nice elegant pub. I like it because it is light and airy and conveniently located close to tube station. Food is quite pricey but pleasant atmosphere. Would go there again
S. D.
Lovely hotel. Excellent location to many attractions. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay
D. P.
Good hotel, nice breakfast and meals in the pub, would recomend.
J. M.
The location is excellent and the room was very nice.
We were however disappointed with the fact that the AC unit was broken, a fact …
A. H.

This pub was spotlessly clean and staff were happy and service orientated. Fullers ales and basic but good pub food. Just what a pub should offer. Perfect.
T. C.
Our stay there was great. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Slight noise on the street later in the night with the pub directly below. Didn't bother us but if your a light sleeper it might be something to keep in mind.

Decent beers and pub food
R. W.
The hotel was lovely. Staff were very helpful, allowing us to check in to a room early and leave our bags the following day. It is in a great location and food in the pud was gorgeous!
T. “. F.
Cheap hotel for London but very nice, klean, nice staff and good kitchen.
E. A.
Brilliant place. No noise from pub underneath, lovely nights sleep. Lots of complimentary drinks provided. Great value for money.
K. S.
The room was reasonably clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable. The breakfast in the pub downstairs was good. Also very convenient to the tube.An overall good experience.
D.
Allround hotel was ok. Nice room, standard double bed and decent breakfast.
On the downside, the a/c sounded and looked like it hadn't been serviced for a while. Single glazing meant road noise of deliveries in morning was a little annoying.
N. S.
Had a lovely wine in the bar, along with an excellent tuna/cheese grilled sandwich. Nice surroundings. Appears to be a favorite after-work spot for refreshment.
G. W.
Very good hotel. Was better than expected. They weren't eager to make you spend more money as all the things in the room were complementary and they also added a few nice touches. The one thing I would say was that the breakfast was not as hot as it could have been and the plates were stone cold.
G. R.
Beer selection was great, service was superb, attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Some dishes at our table were very good while the fish and chips was a wee soggy.
J. B. L.
This pub, which is actually called "Sanctuary House Hotel", is both a pub and a hotel. It is owned by Fuller's which generally means a perfect place for food, drink and company. Sanctuary House is no exception and you will find a full range of good food, perfect ale (and lager, wine etc), served by a friendly staff. If you are here in the morning you may even have breakfast which will get you through most of the day.
S. D.
Lovely hotel. Excellent location to many attractions. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
C. M.
A local Dinner recommendation from our Hotel concierge while visiting from the USA. Food and service was excellent. Definitely above your average pub fair.
S. S.
good food, great room, attentive staff plus the best ESB i've had in a long while( we specifically chose a Fullers pub for our two nights) shame about the lift, but that won't stop us coming back.
S. F.
Very good hotel, well located in a few minutes walk from the most popular touristic sates: Westminster abbey and Parlament - just 2 minutes, Big Ben - 5 minutes, London eye 10 minutes. The nearest metro starions are St. James and Westminster. Good breakfast served in the connected pub. Full english breakfast was very testy.
A. B.
This is our work local. Say hello to Ali behind the bar and chew the fat. More old bill than Scotland Yard, Members of Parliament and minor celebs than Strictly and you can't go wrong. Reliable food, always popular and good selection of beer.
R. S.
A favourite lunchtime watering hole. Haven't eaten here yet but they serve a decent range of drinks and service is always quick. Free WiFi is a bonus too!
D. M.
This pub was spotlessly clean and staff were happy and service orientated. Fullers ales and basic but good pub food. Just what a pub should offer. Perfect.

This relatively small hotel, 5 floors totaling 34 rooms overall, is perfectly situated in the heart of London's Westminster burrough. It sits on Tothill Street atop Fuller's Pie & Ale House pub. We couldn't have asked for a better location for a hotel. We were within walking distance of many major spots in London which were on our list during this visit, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament building, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Harrods Department Store, Westminster Abbey, The Mall, and Trafalgar Square among others.
The hotel lobby and check-in desk are on the 2nd floor. We had brought with us enough luggage for our 17-day trip, so the tiny elevator was challenging, but doable.
The room we had was a regular king size single room. The bedding was extremely plush, which made it super comfortable after an entire days worth of walking. The room itself was a tad on the smaller side, but I guess that ended up being ok because we didn't spend much time in the room at all except at the end of our sightseeing days. We had our king size bed, a small desk with a chair for writing, and an additional chair for lounging. The a/c unit in this room was arctic if you wanted it to be.
Now the bathroom, here's an interesting room. It included a full tub and shower. The shower was not fully enclosed though. Most showers in the States are enclosed to keep the floor from getting wet. Not here though. There was a small glass partition, maybe a foot or so wide, and the rest of the bathroom was open to the shower. Yes, it is safe to say that the floor was hit with a deluge of water after my shower. It is a challenge for me to shower and not splash.
How do the British do it?
Fuller's Ale & Pie House is located on the ground floor of the Sanctuary House Hotel. This is your typical London pub - certainly one of hundreds! I learned quickly that the customs are a bit different in London compared to back home in the US. Back home you either find your own table or are directed to an available table when you arrive at just about any restaurant or bar. Here though, you order your drink at the bar and only then find your way to a seat somewhere. That took me a few minutes to figure out... valuable minutes spent without quenching my thirst with London's finest - London Pride ale.

I enjoyed a pleasant couple of pints of ESB, which were well conditioned, but I felt like too many of the tables were booked (but not yet occupied). Might be a good idea to limit the proportion of bookable tables?

Brilliant hotel
Perfect for Central London
Friendly helpful staff and excellent breakfast.
N. H.
An ok pub, but the service is slow and staff aren't that friendly. Was much better a couple of years ago. There are better places to drink in the immediate area.
J. R.
Popped into the Sanctuary House Hotel, which is actually a hotel and Fuller's pub looking for a pint and light bites after a long walk around. As usual with Fuller's, they had on a nice selection of ales. The Adnam's Shipwreck was lovely. They only had a small selection if starters, but we enjoyed the bruschetta and potted duck. They also had a large selection of pies, sandwiches and mains which looked great. Worth the walk from the more crowded pubs around Parliament Square.

Nice hotel on a good location near westminster abbey. Good not to big but very clean room with great provisions and a very comfortable kingsize bed. Great food in the pub on the ground floor.
S.
Lovely pub, good drink selection, but they needed more staff for a Thursday night a few weeks out from Christmas! Waited 20 minutes for a drink at one point.
D. R.
This is a great way to experience the city! The reception staff is very friendly once you get past some social awkwardness. I would stay here again.
A. d.
Great hotel, great location and great breakfast
F. B. l.
fantastic food and great service all around
S. “. T.
Its a nice pub. A little expensive. Service was ok, but a club sandwich with egg in (which was not indicated on the menu) was an unwelcome surprise.
L. H.
Excellent hotel clean and excellent staff.
l.
Five stars purely because I've had some good times reuniting with friends usually after long gaps. The place is full of politicos that fill the surrounding buildings, Labour and Tory HQ's are just a few moments walk away. You can expect the place to be filled for two or three hours after work. If you're a tourist in central London, avoid the pubs between 4 and 7 and grab yourself a late bite here instead.
L. B.
Recently visited..nice modern room, very clean, comfy beds, pleasant, helpful staff. Right near centre/attractions/underground. Went for breakfast downstairs in Fullers bar..amazing
J. S.
Great location , clean , could not fault the staff both in the acvomadation & bar/ Restuarant areas.
Rooms have been refurbished & excellent value for money.
M. G. R.

Standard selection of basic pub food, does the trick if you're out for a few after work or at lunch. Nice big place and handy for the tube.
W. W.
Had an amazing lunch and (many) drinks with the girls the staff amazing and so understanding to our random dietary requirements - absolutely amazing experience. THANK YOU xxx

J. P.
Good place, nice and clean. Best to book off peak e.g. Sunday else can be v. expensive. Food and drink in bar is good and not too pricey.
S. M.
This pub was fantastic. The food was so good that I came back for breakfast the next morning. Highly suggest.
H. C.
Nice hotel, room was very good and the bed was one of the best I've slept in. Their pub was a very busy place, restaurant selling pub grub was okay.

T. I.
Most comfortable bed I've slept in since 1998. Also very clean and the reception staff were polite and friendly, but be prepared for chaos in the pub.
C. P.
Small hotel at great location near St. James Park, Westminster Abbey etc.. AC did not work, not too pleasant these days considering 30° outside. OK breakfast at the inhouse pub. You pay the location...
J. M.
Sanctuary in the City, a lovely boutique hotel. Well appointed, spacious rooms with really comfy beds. Breakfast is served in the pub below the hotel.
T. P.
not all the staff were willing, the room was cooler, but clean and the bed was fantastic:)
J. S.
Great Beer and very good food and a nice atmosphere to add to it. We enjoyed our visit.

A. S.
Rooms were clean, had a fridge with complimentary beverages, an amazing shower, and a great location. Staff was also great, would recommend!
K. C.
Visited SH with my son while in London on business. Good staff. Meat pies and pints in a comfortable setting. Nothing better.
t. c.
One of the better pubs in the area. Foes get very busy in the evenings midweek. Decent selection of well looked after ales.
D. T.
Lovely hotel, the room was spotless . I will definitely return. The pub downstairs serves good food.
P. K.
Probably in need of a revamp now looking a bit tired
L. O.
We went in on a Saturday mid-afternoon and found there to be plenty of tables available. Food was good, especially the sweet potato fries. The service was hit and miss. I would return though.
D.
food is much improved since our last visit a couple years ago. the service was excellent
Q.
Near commonly used bus stops and train station, easy to get around. Rooms included kettles, irons, roommservice telephone and good sized bathroom.
P. F.
Fuller's pub with good range of beers. I found the food a little on the expensive side for pub food - maybe that is it's Central London location
D. P.
Good hotel, nice breakfast and meals in the pub, would recomend.
G. M.
A fantastic place to stay, staff excellent couldn't do enough to make are stay very pleasant. We will be staying there again very soon.
R. D.
Comfortable, convenient, very well equipped. We had a good night's sleep, and an excellent breakfast.
C. H.
Apart from the tea the waitress accidentally poured on my shoulder, the breakfast was rather decent. One of the only pubs open before 11in the area
T. G.
Lovely roomy pub, we didn't try the food but the menu looks nice. Very close to the Abbey and Big Ben
m. w.

My definition of a proper London pub. Good atmosphere, good drink and some great pies.
N. B.
Superb location, comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Bathroom a little tired and cold with faulty heated towel rail
C. F.
Elevator went out the day after we got there and when we left after 5 days it had still not been repaired. As our room was on the fourth floor, this got old really fast
D. E.
The pub is nice and has a good variety of alcohol and the atmosphere is good. Service could be improved though.
S. S.
We ate at the pub and the fish and chips were great. All the locals recommended this pub and I could see why.
A. K.
Lovely room and wonderful service. Cannot fault it. Could only be improved by offering breakfast with the room.
A. A.
Very close to st james park station which is on the district and circle lines. Very close the palace, the abbey and many other sites in London as well as Piccadilly. Very good location for seeing many sites in a short period
S. D.
I went with a group of friends for dinner and we were pleased with the quick and efficient service, the food is average for what you pay but at least there is a good selection of drinks to count on.
S. J.
Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Clean easy comfortable room.
S. T.
Delicious food! Great location. The exact same menu you will find at most pubs

Located in Westminster this is a pretty standard Fuller's offering. Service can be a little slow when it's busy but the beer and food are both as you would expect.
P. H.
Gets busy after work hours but well stocked with good beer. Good old fashioned English pub.
A. M.
A well maintained Fuller's pub, which does decent food. My main complaint is how unbelievably slow the service is.

S. K.
went there for breakfast. Great food good atmosphere but busy and slow service
D.
Allround hotel was ok. Nice room, standard double bed and decent breakfast.
On the downside, the a/c sounded and looked like it hadn't been serviced for a while. Single glazing meant road noise of deliveries in morning was a little annoying.
J. S.
Great location , clean , could not fault the staff both in the acvomadation & bar/ Restuarant areas.
Rooms have been refurbished & excellent value for money.
P. K.
Very nice pub, it is not shown in TripAdvisor as a nearby, but we came there by accident and did not regret!

Great pies on the tasting board, only comment I could have is that the fillings could be more. But then again that’s me being greedy 👍
