Reviews of The Skinners Arms

Very nice location in busy area of Kings X. Nice friendly staff. Decent beer variety in cask & keg. Reasonable prices for the location. Very clean n spacious seating inside & outside. Nice interior n good vibes inside. Cosy atmosphere. Was little busy when I visited but it’s the area full of visitors n office. Hope try it again.

Excellent food and arrived in very good time, fresh and hot. Fish and chips with peas, and a Burger and fries with slaw. It has limited help and you go to bar to order. The place is full, quaint, and very knowledgeable staff. I told him that I do not care for beer and like sweet type drinks. He recommended a fruit beer and it was very good.
A.
Friendly staff and good food. Paella wasn’t to my taste but everything else was amazing. Good vegan burger too. The atmosphere is really nice both inside and out. I would recommend this place for lunch or a pint.

Stopping over in London before a Eurostar trip we stumbled across The Skinner's Arms by chance. Good move!
I lived in London many years ago and it was great to find a traditional London pub. Best pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord I have drunk in years.
Massive nachos. Luckily the bar staff warned us of the size as was going to order one each and that would have been overkill. I lived in Arizona for a while and they were USA style and portion size nachos.
The Vegetarian Tart was excellent, with brilliant chips
Well worth a visit!!
E.
Lovely pub with really nice, welcoming and friendly staff located a few seconds away from the main King's Cross station. Prices are fair, and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate everyone despite being busy nights. Wish I came in sooner!
S. B.
Very friendly staff who even on a busy evening made me feel welcome and provided great service. Decor was decent, the tables clean as expected and there was a good atmosphere. Prices were fair for the location and setting and I’d have no qualms returning for either a relaxing drink or a gathering with friends.
F. B.
What a great pub. The bar staff and landlord were amazing, the atmosphere was fab. Only went in for 1 drink and stayed till closing. Wish we’d found it sooner but will definitely be back ❤️
H. B.
Fab pub, bar staff lovely, very attentive and friendly ad was landlord, went in for a drink but stayed until closing. Great traditional pub. Atmosphere great. Thank you . Heidi xxx
L.
Great place for a quiet pint after work - away from the hustle and bustle of Kings Cross. V choice of beers. (Can't comment on the food unfortunately) but I'll be back!
M. W.
Pretty decent pub over the road from Kings Cross station. Broadly what you would expect on the inside and a good range of beers. Although we didn't eat, the food looked pretty good there. Also a solid set of old school tunes on the box ... total eclipse of the heart , come on Eileen, mrs robinson to name a few 😆
L. W.
Very festive and energetic pub. Great stop for a point with some old friends. Really enjoyed the music and the service and the choice of beers. It's away from the bustle of traffic, so a pleasant walk to and from the bar through a neighborhood. Very enjoyable!
N. P.
Looking for a decent pub whilst waiting for a train rather than the overpriced chains in St Pancras, this proper pub was such a find, lovely and friendly staff who can't do too much for you, we'll kept beer and cracking food at very reasonable prices, 6 stars if possible. Leave the chains behind and seek put some local quality, my new fave in the area, I'll be back many times.
A. G.
Friendly staff. Good real ale (Timothy Taylor today). Pleasant vibe, traditional pub atmosphere. Prices reasonable for London. Central location close to Kings Cross/St Pancras
J. G.
Gem of a bar, great welcoming landlord and the steaks were to die for.
Me and my wife phoned up the night before we came down to london and the landlord couldn't have been more accommodating.
Definitely go back.
J. I.
Nice neighborhood bar. You order at the bar, find a seat and they'll serve your meal. Very friendly staff and great choices in beverages and food. Everything was good, although the sticky toffee pudding needs more toffee sauce. Happy we found this place!
P. B.
A favourite of mine, a traditional feel with some reasonable wines and a good selection of beers, traditional pub food served and the service is good. I would recommend.
a. L.
Decent pub near enough to king's cross especially if you wish to avoid the O Neills just down the road which has a lot of footie fans in on match days
R. T.
Fantastic, close to the king's cross place!
I. L.
Great place for a meal. The staff were super friendly. Will definitely return when we're in the UK again.
J. H.
Loved the pub atmosphere. Beer variety as well as the old Guinness standby. Good friendly staff. Well priced meals.
Y. S.
Got the chicken and leek pie! Came out fast and was a large portion! The pub had a funny smell but my friend said it just smelled like beer.
Regardless, the staff were nice and the food was good! Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing pub to get a quick and cheap but good meal!
T. H.
Amazing draught Corona first time seen this and worth every penny. I love this pub it has great staff who are so welcoming and friendly I’d recommend to anyone visiting London. Make this your go to pub off the Euston Road 👍🏻🍺
K. v. E.
Great pub experience. Tons of beer on tap and a quick walk from Kings Cross station. Bartender was very friendly and pub felt very cozy and warm. Would highly recommend the avocet although everything else was good too.
R. W.
Good honest tasty food at a very low price. They were so friendly from booking in the phone to sorting out our table, and all the service too. Great pub near to Kings Cross station, 100% will be back.
M. R.
Had a pint here whilst waiting for my train ….lovely traditional setting……enjoyed the the music, atmosphere and friendly staff….It will now be my regular stop whilst waiting for my train connections
M. L.
Very friendly staff. Decent beer selection, prices not too bad for the location. Very clean including bathrooms. Nice vibe inside, lots of wood and carpet with some cosy nooks. Little bit of a bustle on a Wednesday afternoon; not to busy not too quiet
D. I.
Dropped in for a drink on Sat., 23 October 2021. Nice traditional pub with cosy interior and layout. Service was also very friendly, and my pint of Tribute Cornish Pale Ale was very good.
C. A.
Fully deserves 5 stars. Our first visit having seen other good reviews. Great pub, good beer, great food at a fair price, friendly staff. Very pleased, we will return.
S. C.
We went to this nice little pub on our way to the hotel from St Pancras train station.
It was quite late and the last call rang just after we got our beer.
We were trying to rush through our drinks so that we did not stay too long.
But the manager came around and assured us not to worry.
It was a pleasant way to end the day.
Chatting with him we found out that he had been to the west coast of Canada where we came from.
R. W.
A very pleasant pub, a good selection of well kept ales and other beers. Very friendly staff.
J. B.
Good range of beers. Food served efficiently. Short walk from Kings Cross and British Library.
R. M.
Nice personable local pub. Huge fish and chips plate. Easy to get to from St Pancras and Kings Cross. You'll definitely get to mix in with locals and tourists alike. Find a seat, then order and pay at the bar. They'll bring the food to you after.
A. B.
This was by far the best experience my husband and I had in the 4 days we spent in London. Our only regret is that we did not find it on our first night but thankfully found it on our last. The Fish and Chips was the best we've ever had (Thank you Margaret)! The Manager Craig was super attentive to ensure our food and drinks were to our liking. He also educated us on the local craft beer scene and was super knowledgeable of micro breweries around the World! Terrance one of the bar staff, was so friendly and made us feel right at home by engaging and genuinely caring about who we were as people. Lastly, we now have new best friends (and Brothers) from Bedford who rounded out our UK experience. Thanks Y'all from your new Austin Texas friends!
R. M.
A very nice oldie pub with a great landlady with good hospitality well worth a visit if in London
A. H.
Nice pints good service try the cheesy bacon chips
S. T. G. “.
Nice old pub, with it's history. Good prices, friendly staff and cold beer, what else do you need? It's very close to Kings Cross so highly recommended to get your beer there and then go and get your train.
A. A.
Good place nice ambience, could increase the number of beers available. Great service though
R. G.
Great pub with a good range of beers from across UK. Most served on tap. And price for London are very reasonable.
P. N.
Decent pub with changing draught ales - not all Greene King - and friendly staff.
G. R.
This pub feels unchanged over the years, very comfortable, clean, a good drinks selection too.
P.
A nice pub close to St Pancras station with a pleasant atmosphere.
G. H.
Excellent lunch and refreshment today. Fish and chips were very tasty as well as the pint! I’ll stop here again.
B.
Nice pub with friendly staff - beer prices about standard for the area

Four stars for one of the friendliest waiting /bar staff ever and having a table available outside without booking while the football was on. Fairly traditional pub with standard drinks offer (nothing too fancy on the spirits and mixers). Only one female toilet which wasn't an issue today but might be on a busier occasion.
M. D. C.
Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Recomend this pleasant venue.
A. G.
Got in to watch England - Ukraine game without a booking, and they were kind enough to find us a table! Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, then subsequently dealt with an overbooking issue very professionally and managed to accommodate everyone! Great experience, definitely recommend! 😎✋
D. C.
Stopped in for lunch and a couple of pints on Wednesday this week. All of the staff were very pleasant and food was good as well. Nothing was too much trouble and reasonable prices.
W. K.
Good Pub for meeting, Nachos are the best staff very friendly, and drinks are a goid price...
J. D.
Great pub! Lots of choice of the beer front - and decent food. Bothe drink and food reasonably priced.Service with a smile 😃.
S. W.
A proper traditional style English pub. Friendly staff.
B. A.
Nice local feeling pub with sports subtitled on the TV' s
T. P.
Great local pub if you live in Camden, great pub if you don't live in Camden (to which I don't) 😁🍻
M. S.
Was always a good but good not exceptional pub. However it's now superb. Really fresh, well kept beer. Haven't had Holt's that's tasted as good as here outside Manchester. Friendly helpful bar staff as well (will offer tasters) and reasonable prices for area as well. Highly recommended.
R. K.
very good real english pub food, very good atmosfere!
J. P.
It's now non nasty Greek cafe. The food was amazing
S. B.
Great pub for a pint in King's Cross area
V. B.
Nice and caracteristic english pub. Good food and kindly staff. Very good
S. W.
Great pub friendly staff
C. P.
The food was delicious, I had the Steak and Ale pie. The puff pastry on top was so wonderful!
P. F.
I went there to do a job. The staff were smashing. Manager Jack very nice person. I like the food at gails bakery. Best sausage rolls ever and I really mean that. Good on you all and all at gails as a company.
S. M.
Brilliant staff. Good choice of drinks
M. P.
Great traditional pub....I will be back!
M. L.
very nice pub, good food, good drinks
s.
Great music , good vibes and tasty beer!
Recomended pub in London!
d. s.
My wife and I love this pub. First went a couple of years ago. It was great then. One of our first stops when we returned this year. Still great. Always a great selection of Real Ales. We had dinner there a few times this trip. My favorite was the Steak & Ale pie. Try it! Craig and his team run a quality establishment. When we back in London, we will be back in the Skinners Arms.
B. H.
best bar in Kings Cross - great selection of beers in St Pancras
L. D.
A very authentic blooming pub great for visitors/tourists. When I visited it was a little dark, and the staff weren't overly happy or attentive. However the food was nice and a great portion size for what you paid. They also seemed to have a wide selection and variety of drinks.
G. B.
Great atmosphere and good food at great prices
I. T.
Good, traditional, long-lived London pub with mostly mature punters. Busy early evening during the week. Service is professional and efficient. I'm never that excited by the selection of beers on tap, but always happy enough to come back.
P. H.
Typical pub food done well, good atmosphere, good range of beers.
D. G.
Your run of the mill London pub. Good, fast service. Serves usual selection of beers you expect to find in a standard pub. Can get busy although never overwhelmingly so. Not a huge amount of seating upstairs. Good for a post work drink or a place to meet up before going elsewhere.
P. C.
Nice pub, good food and beer not overpriced and friendly staff.
P. K.
Updated review, November 2019
I used to give this 4 stars, now I give it three -- the food has gone downhill a long way, now with comparatively meagre portions.
Original review:
Good beer and good pub grub at reasonable prices. I've been going here for years, and it doesn't really change. When you get hungry, there's an Indian restaurant, Humari, right next door, but the pub's own food is pretty reliable.
A. R.
A charming pub within a great location in Kings Cross. It feels like a real, proper boozer inside, with traditional furnishings, carpet, and a warm and busy atmosphere. A great place to go for a drink or before dinner; they do food there too, which I haven't tried yet.
J. B.
Lovely old London pub. This was our first visit but not our last! Good selection of beers and wines. Altbough we didn't eat the menu was varied and competitively priced. We will make another visit when we return to London.
G. S.
Very nice Pub in the middle of Kings Cross. Price, music, food is everything great.
I hope I can come back on my next trip, we had such a great time here!
Very nice bartender's too.
A. K.
Quite simply the way a pub should be. A good selection of beers, a welcoming environment, quiet enough you can have a conversation but busy enough you don't feel exposed. Friendly staff, comfy seats and tables, a wonderful place to catch up with friends and enjoy yourself, all a short stroll from kings cross. 5/5 can't fault it!
S. D.
Always very friendly. Beer is consistently kept. Food menu typical of price and range for the area while quality is good. There are more intimate seating areas at the bag just beyond the lovely coal fire. The place looks bigger on the inside a bit like The Tardis.
S. E.
Nice pub! Off the beaten track so there's room to sit down - even after work on a Thursday! Outdoor seating, great selection of ales, good wine and some gorgeous traditional pub food
D.
Thank you for very nice service today! Food was superior, we had the Chili con carne, a very, very big Caesar Salad (did not expect something that big with that price!) with Chicken, a Veggie Burger and a Wrap with Bacon. The Ginger beer is also tasty, the toilets clean, the staff is very friendly and attentive. We've been here the early afternoon, not in the evening, so we can't really tell something about the nights here.
n. g.
Very friendly staff, and tasty food !
T. G.
First pub stop on our stay in London. The atmosphere was nice, beautiful bar, and great tasting fish and chips and a pint of beer. Topped it off with the bread and raisin pudding... delicious!!!
J. B.
Great pub with a great British feel to it. Friendly staff who assist you with your beer choices and inquries. Food is delicious and if you'd like a tradicional fish and chip dish, I would warmly recommend. The service is excellend and fast. And the pub ambient is an extra.
E.
Fantastic food, friendly personal and a good location.
G. W.
Friendly staff but Greene King beer
C. D. D.
Great traditional pub off the busy Euston Rd so quiete. Seats outside and a great range of beers.
A. S.
Excellent as always. Good range of beers including a low gravity session ale by Sambrook's yesterday, often hard to find these days. Food reasonably priced and up to the usual standard.
A. W.
Always good when you are welcomed to a pub and that is what happened at the Skinner's Arms. Also had cheerful table service both for drinks and food. I was drinking Landlord which was in good condition and with a group of friends and lots of laughter what more do you want from a pub.
M. A.
dropped in for lunch and a cider. Pretty disappointed after all I had heard about this place. Music selection playing loudly was drecky 80s disco. The Fish and Chips were not that good, fish coating was seriously greasy and the chips dull and slightly undercooked .The side salad two large pieces of lettuce with carrot shavings. Just not the cozy space I hoped for, simply average, overall
Á. K.
Before I wisit UK with my girlfriend we watched a lot of cooking shows (especially Paul Hollywood's Puds and Pies). We did not understand the hype about the English pies with meat.
But after a dinner here (we ate the steak and ale pie) everything clicked into its place. It was delicious and way over our expectations.
The cider is also great, but we are not a big drinkers.
F. W.
Just stopped in for a quick beer before heading to St Pancras. Really friendly place. Diverse crowd, heard several languages being spoken plus it seemed kid friendly. Had a fantastic Scottish Porter. Clean men's room.
K. M.
We had a couple of drinks in this lovely pub but wished we had found it before we ate, as the food look really good and was cheaper than what we had paid somewhere else. Tucked away on a back street, if you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't find it, but it is worth going on Google Maps for if you like a welcoming atmosphere, reasonably priced food and drinks and a handsome traditional pub.
N. G.
Always a bar that I go back to when in the area. Just a few streets back from stations but not as busy with great beers, great staff and a proper pub decor
A. P.
Great straight-forward pub. Food is much better than your average London pub fayre and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and a few good ales on tap. Had a very enjoyable evening.
A. O.
A lovely friendly pub and the food is very tasty with good portions as soon as you walk in you feel comfortable the staff most definately go out of their way for you. A very popular pub do visit!
R. M.
Nice, cozy and comfy place with a friendly service.
f. g.
Excellent pub, friendly staff and nice place. Nice sides (nachos, fries...) to eat while you're drinking your pint(s). Reasonably priced.
S. R.
Loved the atmosphere of this pub, very welcoming of all ages. Food was amazing quality and fast service. Bar staff were very friendly and served with a smile. 5star
B. M.
Called in whilst waiting for train back to Yorkshire, friendly good looking bar staff & £4 a pint.
Definitely worth a visit, will book a later train next time ,didn't have any food but smelt nice..
J. M.
Great local pub, really good food and reasonable prices!
P. W.
Very pleasant London pub close to major stations. Enjoyable beer. Good enough food at fair for london prices. Mixed crowd and pleasant atmosphere.
F. L. L.
Visited here with my brother. Felt like we walked into the 1800s, in a good way! The rustic, oaky feeling about this place was nice, and the food was classic English food, which tasted nice.
Full of locals and travelers, nice atmosphere and staff. Perfect if you are waiting for a train, drinking a beer or having lunch.
m. p.
Wonderful pub, & Theresa, the barmaid was an absolute joy😃. I will be back with friends, soon
D. N.
Liked this pub. Quite large with very traditional interior. Good range if beer on handpump plus you usual others. Food was good, prices reasonable for Central London. Toilets a bit run down.
J. A. G.
Very nice pub in a quiet street not far from St Pancras and King's Cross.
If you are looking for good food, well kept beers and a place where you can have a conversation without being disturbed by loud music and TV screens in every corner, you'll love this place.
A. B.
Great proper pub near #KingsCross #StPancreas. Great selection of pub food, both small and large plates.
Very friendly staff. You can often find a couple of guide dogs relaxing after a hard day at the office!
A. C.
Very good little pub close to the stations. Very cosy and comfortable, very good food for a really affordable price, and nice staff. The beer is good too, not so much choice but the ones on tap are really fine. I will definitely be back there.
P. C.
A traditional London Pub just off Euston Road facing St Pancras Station (Judd Street ) not to busy even on a Saturday afternoon. Good food, beer and friendly staff.
S. H.
Nice "old fashioned" pub situated in Judd St just off Euston Rd. Good food, various beers and wine. Often busy but room to move. Plenty of seating. Friendly bar staff.
T. S.
Our weekly post-football haunt to celebrate or commiserate. Staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. Food is of a good standard, not going to win a Michelin star but it’s tasty and functional.
D. S.
Nice, chilled atmosphere. Decent selection of ales, and lagers but no good craft beers on tap. Drinks reasonably priced for this location and served by friendly staff. Only downside was the lack of gluten-free options on the menu.
M. G.
Beautiful place for a drink and a snack! Had to wait a few minutes for a table to get free on a Saturday evening, but the wait was worth. Nice cider, nice food arrived quickly!
R.
Went back twice during a recent city visit: very enjoyable pies and burgers at honest prices, good selection of beer and ale, not too many tourists + seems to be popular with locals as well. Order your drinks + food at the bar - the menus are on a shelf behind you when you face the bar.
K. M.
Just a cut above a 'traditional working man's' pub, this relatively calm hostelry is situated just a few yards S of the busy and almost overwhelming Euston Road at St Pancras.
Seating and tables are available on the street outside, but this does not make for a pleasant experience and is not to be recommended owing to the proximity of traffic.
The drinks and food offers are fairly mainstream and 'workaday' but not exactly exciting. Service was functional rather than friendly.
Would I patronise again ?
Yes : but there again I cannot see myself going out of my way to do so.
G. N.
Great pint of fizzy lager and great name for a pub the Skinners Arms, same as the one frequented by albert and 'arold in "steptoe and son"
С. К.
Nice pub! Excellent cources and fresh ales. I've taken fishNchips -it was amazing! You easily may ask the barman to recomend you an ale and he will give you some for a choice. Prices are adequate, slightly lower than in central pubs. So I will be definitely come back during my next stay in London.
R. D.
A lovely survival of a traditional pub, just around the corner from the British Library, St Pancras, and Kings Cross. A good selection of ales, and no music on my visit, which meant that my friends and I could chat and hear one another without shouting!
I. R.
Great team behind the bar a really good laugh. Clean and good service. Recommended.
G. C.
The Skinners Arms is a traditional British Pub near Kings Cross St. Pancras train station...but it's just far enough off the beaten path to not be a tourist trap. Their food is pubby...not great, but gets the job done. Their beers are as cold and carbonated or as casky (if you prefer) as any other pub. It's a good time and an easy feeling place with a good vibe. You may not tell stories of your time in this pub for years to come, but you also won't regret choosing it. Cheers!
J.
The food is delicious and the pub is so nice and cozy. As soon as you walk in you feel like home and welcomed. The staff are friendly and nice. Love it!
R. K.
Good beer and service and great to see a pub throw people out for using bad language
M. R.
So great 👍 I even fell off my stool lol 😆 😅 😂
R. J.
It's OK. But that's about it. Guess it's the closest many international visitors to King's Cross St Pancras will come to a traditional pub, but there are better around in near area. And often it smells of fish and chips - in a bad place way.
B. P.
Was staying nearby and sort of wanted this pub to be my daily stop. Pretty standard beer selection and indifferent bartenders changed my mind. Nice looking room.
A. S.
Surprise! Old fashion pub real nice pint and friendly staff,
L. M.
On first entry you would think it's just a drinking pub but after checking the menu & ordering the food was excellent. Proper burgers home made & very filling, service was also excellent & friendly. Will definitely go back next time I'm in London.
J. V.
Nice simple pub. It's difficult to find such pubs in that area. Pies were quite good. Sirloin steak was ok. Prices were quite good for the quality and area.
C. H.
Traditional style pub but nice atmosphere. Went late afternoon, quite quiet but I imagine due to it's vicinity to St Pancras and King's Cross would get busier in evening. Nice staff.
D. J.
Good beer last night genuine pub. Food looked good but I did not eat myself. Staff friendly.
A. P.
The beer was good and slightly pricey. I had a pie and chips which was enjoyable.
J. W.
Food is tasty, good options, great welcoming staff, and laid-back atmosphere. My son and I are there twice both on our own and with another family during our last trip to London.
P. G.
Really a great pub
J. D.
Drank here for several evenings during our stay in London - friendly environment. On our last evening, decided to eat. I had a delicious sirloin steak, cooked to perfection and my friend said the homemade burger was the best he had ever had!
T. M. (.
One of the best pubs in my opinion in this area. Good kitchen as well and even the Pinot Grigio i had (i know, normally not the first choice in a pub ;-)) was not only good, it was great. Charming service!
A.
Traditional English pub. Very busy! They have a small menu but everything is homemade. Very good if you want to try cask ales and local beer.
J. C.
Great pub close to Kings Cross station. Lovely food and easy to order. Always visit if I'm in the area.
J. T.
A friendly quaint pub full of academic types. Very friendly staff along with cheap yet delicious homemade food. An easy recommendation.
E. K.
Lovely traditional pub. Felt like a real London pub, would definitely go back. Got a couple of IPAs for a reasonable price too. Try it!
G. J.
The service is friendly and genuine; interior is unique! The Guinness was served dark and proper; outdoor tables are nice for people watching.
M. T.
What a delightful pub. Theresa took care of me with a happy smile and good advice. Thank you !
R. W.
Can’t wait to see you in exactly a month!!!!
T. C.
Friendly bar staff, good selection of beers on tap. Couple of tables outside which is a nice place to sit, can’t fault it.
M. O.
Handy as it's so close to King's Cross. The food is good and there are a few varied options. Good choice of beer as well. Friendly service.
d. h.
My first time was a most agreeable experience. Love the oldie worldie decor. Haven't tried the food yet but, hopefully, that will come... and it will be my pleasure to review again.
D. R.
Tucked away but easy to find on a side street off busy St. Pancras Station/Euston Rd., this place is a great place to enjoy lunch or a couple of beers before hopping on the Eurostar to the continent, or vice versa before getting into London's extensive underground system.
N. H.
Good selection of beers and ales.. prices are to be expected, but for a northerner they were high! Haha... would definitely go back though. Good atmosphere and good service.
A. G.
Best pub near King’s Cross. Good range of beers, the staff are friendly and the food is very tasty typical pub grub at a reasonable price.
M. B.
Nice pub, cheaper pints than all the fancy and busy places right next to kings cross station. Would recommend if you want to get away from the main roads.
M. G.
Great local pub with some excellent food. I ate lunch and had an afternoon pint here a lot when I was in London. Probably my favourite pub close to the British Library.
P. K.
Nice old fashioned pub. Decent beer and wine. Took a while to get a seat and tables not v clean but it was busy.
D. K.
Very nice pub. Good food. A lot of beer types to drink.
C. M.
Great service, food, and beer...but can get rowdy esp after a football game. Lots of inebriated fools yelling unintelligible insults to non white patrons, but don't let that stop you from visiting this well kept establishment.
P. G. M.
Delicious authentic English food - fresh and well made. The bartender a man who dosent chitchat for fun, he is genuinely interested. A treat to visit.
N. A.
Please do not change anything. Prices, food, atmosphere - perfect. Maybe a bit too many pop songs, but good it wasn’t loud
J. A.
Extremely friendly and competent staff, good service, best veggie burger I ever ate. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Everything a pub should be.
J. S.
Great place for a pint and very cozy also. Food wasn't bad either. Wings were surprisingly good! GF loved the Bangers and Mash.
L. F.
Good quality old fashioned London boozer.
Good range of ales as well as lagers, ciders and high class spirits.
Food looked good
J. M. (.
Food is ok for the price. I went there on Saturday evening, It's a quite compare to pub. If you want to talk with your friends then it's good for you.
C. S.
Excellent pub with really God food and quality beer. Highly recommended.
N. S.
OK ale but it's the usual suspects. Serving tasters in shot glasses is bizarre and not really much use. There are better pubs nearby.
I. D.
Local pub, staff good.
Not tried the food but it looks nice.
G. G.
Good food, good beer, friendly staff - great pub!
G. S.
Superb little English boozer handy for Kings Cross and The British Library. Wifi a bit iffy but plenty to detract in any event.
Just lovely and unbelievable value for money.
F.
Friendly staff, authentic public house atmosphere, good music with excellent food, the price you pay is definitely for the high standard of food and drink

Great traditional British pub. Good selection of beers, good home cooked food. Recommended
A. M.
This has been our local for the last week and is better than any pub we've ever been in. I would recommend it every time. Best pub in London!
s.
Nice traditional pub, when we went the pubs nearby were all full of football fans so it was nice to find a pub not showing it so we could hear ourselves speak
D. G. M.
A delightful pub with welcoming staff. The food was great and not overly priced and there was a nice selection of beer, too.
L. D.
Feels like home. Beware of large portions ;)
D. G.
Real, fresh cooked food by someone who KNOWS ABOUT FLAVOUR.
If you want bland, boil in the bag, microwave-by-numbers nosh...... Don't come here.
Good taste, fresh, i salivate just thinking about it.
The Skinners arms, slightly hidden by the mass of mundane, corporate, tourist trap "ye olde English" or "we are more haute than thou" boutique wallet swallowers - is a traditional breath of fine, honest, tasty British air.
Stained glass, Dickensian style witty caricatures on the walls and a good selection of single malts for those with a discerning pallette (as opposed to an over stuffed wallet).
Prices are NOT STANDARD for the area - they are SUBSTANTIALLY CHEAPER.
Why?
Because, deep in the heart of a true publican is the desire to run a business for the pleasure and longevity and the honour of tradition.
This is NOT a "here today gone tomorrow" commercial enterprise.
It's a family business with family values a d family qualities.
J. W.
