What a great find! This pub is within easy walking distance of Kings Cross St Pancras. A warm welcome by the lady behind the bar who actively informed me of the wide ranging beer choices. I received some great advice on what to taste. Perfect place to come for a beer and food. Whilst I didn't stay for it they clearly have a lot of evening events, from comedy to karaoke, which are hosted in a separate function room. Lots of character and a lively atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Excellent location, just 5 mins walk from the station. More than decent food and a fine selection of draft beers. Lovely vibes and atmosphere. I would have been expecting a more excellent selection of draft beers, and the toilets need an improvement or more care. Downstairs there is a comedy club.

Very accommodating for people who are wheelchair bound, with a great selection of different beers. Location is close enough to Kings Cross to be easily walkable. Food looked good but didn't have anything major, but you're in walking distance of Granary Square so won't starve if you're looking to eat elsewhere. Staff very pleasant, and looking to serve you even when it's manic and they could be tempted to go a little slower.

Celebrated a friend's 30th Birthday here. Great venue. We had the down stairs space which has a bar down there. Staff helpful and polite. Would visit again.

Manager Emily was very polite and when I told her I was worried a bout a previous bad review I found online, she apologized, gave a reasonable explanation and made sure everything was clean, ready and in working order for our Karaoke time. She also gave us extra time since we started a bit late. They brought food to us as well and had a laugh and joked with the group. Very friendly. The Karaoke machine and mics worked fine as well so it was a great and fun experience. Massive song selection! We also booked tables before and after singing and everything was in order. All in all, a great night!

no tables inside so had to sit outside amongst the dirty smokers who have absolutely no regard for your health and wellbeing not to mind the smell of your clothes when you get home at the end if the night the bar food menu is very basic with only a few options of burgers and sides. the food was ok and served promptly we had house white wine was served room temperature and were not offered an ice bucket there was entertainment provided upstairs or in the basement but we avoided it entirely as not interested various clientele

The pub is ok, nothing massively special and not a huge range of drinks or food but handy of you're quite early for a train at kings cross. The app ordering was horrendously complicated, took me around 7 minutes just to sign up, after 4 minutes, sunk cost (time) fallacy kicked in and I felt the need to persist! Just order at the bar.

Very much a student type place. Dont do food till 5 no one decided to inform me while i was clearly sat waiting. Bar staff took ages to serve us even though the place was empty at 4.30 on a monday. Advertise having a great vegan and veggie section but no vegan buns for the burgers. Burger was very good though

A great pub, close enough to King’s Cross Station that it’s convenient but just far enough that it’s not inundated. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and fully equipped to handle social distancing. This pub is the office favourite because it has everything you need, good food, good beer and friendly staff. I have allergies and the staff here were very attentive and careful when preparing food for me. There are vegetarian and vegan options, some of which are so good they're more popular than their meatier counterparts. Entertainment wise there is a basement that sometimes has events on such as stand up, a room upstairs you can book for karaoke, and of course a pub quiz. In the main area there is an old arcade style game and a pinball machine.

I love this pub. We go for lunch and their burgers are great. They have some regular and some specials that they switch around every couple weeks. Any I have had have always been really yum. The staff are also really friendly and they have a good range of beers and ale. They did have some very nice sounding craft(?) wines but I'm not sure if they do those still or not.

Nice pub with friendly, efficient staff, a decent ambiance, fairly priced drinks and what appears to be a whole host of decent weekly pub events. Burger menu from Yeah Burgers is varied and extensive and the burgers are excellently cooked and garnished. Burgers should really come with fries or salad as standard though, as the extra cost for skinny fries that are pretty much what you can get at McDonald's for less money is a bit much.

Was here for a birthday where the back area had been hired out and it worked really well. Great space, cool decor and lighting made for a wicked night. Staff were really good given how busy it was at times. Had the burger which is one of the best I have had in a long time, would definitely eat there again.

Usual stuff on tap, Camden Pale Ale for me (£5.30). Large outdoor area at the front and accessibility seemed good throughout though not sure about the toilets.

Ordered food here and got charged for a plate of nachos I didn't want and couldn't eat. Also, amendments to my burger which I requested for dietary reasons were not made so I was stuck fishing and scooping out things from my burger or facing another 30 minute wait because of how busy it was. Only knocked off one star because the pub was really loud and the kitchen was really busy, but it would have been zero stars had I been allergic to the items I requested were removed; luckily, I'm just intolerant. The food was delicious so just a little more attention is needed to perfect service during the busy periods.

Really great pub. Would be 5 stars if you could lock the men's washroom door! Fantastic regular meetup group for gaming once a month. Very busy venue and very noisy. Great younger crowd. Not a big selection of real ales. A little bit on the pricey side but not out of the ordinary for the area. London prices 😮

Nothing but great service from the team. I held a reunion party and was able to easily reserve an area for me and my friends. The best thing about this place is their understanding as they didn't require us to leave within a certain time frame or make a minimum spend. They're a lovely group of people who make an effort to giving you the best time and leave you to relax and chat. Would definitely come back ... it's a gem.

It's a nice bar off of the beaten track, so doesn't have the extortionate prices or over-capacity of other bars you will find around the King's Cross area. I must give a shout out to the staff as they were top-notch and really knew how to manage a busy bar. Didn't keep anyone waiting too long and didn't keep going to one point, so ensured everyone got served with only a couple of minutes waiting time. It's got a great atmosphere and has soundproofing leading to the downstairs which in my opinion is a really cool feature to have. The style of the venue is also true to the industrial roots of the King's Cross area. A mere 5 minutes walk from King's Cross mainline, St Pancras, Camden Town and a plethora of bus options means you're easily connected wherever you need to go after your cosy night out. Very tasty cocktails too, yummy :) Good DJ's and good vibes makes for good nights. It's also bookable for parties - they can reserve you an area or table(s). I'm not too sure if the entire venue is bookable but it would make for a great area for your work's Christmas party. Area around the back is great for leaving drinks etc - appears to seat maybe 30 at tables, so could have 50+ standing and then some. Thanks guys!

I visited the Star of Kings on Sunday, What can I say?! The food, atmosphere and staff were truly fantastic. A busy and bustling pub was in reality a welcome sanctuary for a great Sunday lunch on a cold and otherwise miserable London day. The pork belly was fantastic, perfectly cooked crispy crackling and beautifully tender meat. The accompanying sides were perfect, yummiest of spuds and buttery cale!!! Can’t wait to return!!

This bar is about a 5-10 min walk from kings cross station. They had a few (possibly local) craft beers on tap and a lot of seating. The staff were very friendly and keen to offer assistance when choosing a drink.

Had a great birthday here recently and hired the upstairs Karaoke room. There were birthday functions in every room, a packed bar and yet the staff handled it all with professionalism and smiles... very smooth! Waiting at the bar was reasonable too. If you get a Star Card before your birthday you get a free bottle of Prosecco :-) My only complaint was that the kitchen shut down but they were happy for us to order Deliveroo

I rent out the bottom room for our club night Cosmic Hard Dance - the staff are friendly and helpful at all times! They even put up with us showering the place with glitter. The DJ decks are new pioneer 900s though I brought my own mixer as the one provided is pretty old. It's rough and ready, not for those with a clean freak nature - but we loved it.

Cool pub within walking distance to Kings Cross Station. I went for a Sunday afternoon veggie roast, and through the week they have a full vegan menu to write home about. Staff are friendly and you’ll also find a pinball machine along with inside and outside seating. Well worth a visit!

The main headline - EXCELLENT A huge thank you to Daisy, Nicola, Sam and Noah and indeed the rest of The Star of Kings team for hosting my 40th birthday do on Saturday. Everything went as planned and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The team and staff have been helpful from start to finish and to have accommodated my needs (drinks, food, function room hire and karaoke) all within a reasonable cost and all under one roof was fantastic. My guests all had a thoroughly great night and again were very complimentary about the venue and the staff. But I was greatly put off by the fact that 4 bouncers came to tell us to leave the karaoke room AND the bar while people were still there and we were all as sober as any of the ones there! 4 bouncers to kick out 4 girls seems a bit extensive if you ask me, considering that all we were doing ,was singing. Surprise! It was the karaoke room!!! Before that point,the food ,drinks and service was great. So maybe they just need better bouncers. You know,the type that doesn't pick on single girls!!

The venue itself is quite nice. The food on the other hand is dreadful. Stale bread on the hotdogs, burgers feel boiled, over-seasoned and greasy. It also seems that they are unable to cook more than 2 things at a time, as it takes quite some time for food to leave the kitchen and items always leave in twos, making no effort in serving everyone at the same time.

I booked the basement for my 30th – it was like having my own mini nightclub. It was really important for my mates to be able to DJ. This place has a Funktion-One sound system, which was great. The CDJs and mixer were quite old though so my mates bought their own equipment. I had about 70 guests and there was plenty of room for people to dance or socialise, plus having our own bar was really convenient. The interior reminds me of a gig venue, which was ideal for me, as people could really let their hair down and properly get into the music. And the staff were really cool about me putting up my own decorations, and were a friendly bunch. Also, they don't ask for a minimum spend on the bar so you don't have to worry about that. Only real criticism was that when the music stopped in the pub upstairs, a few randoms wondered down into my party. They seemed harmless but this raised a bit of a security concern. All in all, great venue for hosting parties.

Every time I go to Yeah! Burger they've got something new going on. It's the most inventive burger menu I've come across as a vegan, with way more options than the majority of most places. Plus the Star of Kings is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. I love the place and the food, and the staff ain't half bad either! 10/10

The pub has that "minimilast forgotten' look, whether through effort or because it's actually forgotten is anyone's guess. The bartender we interacted with didn't particularly come across like he wanted to be there. They offered the regular Camden brews as well as a very nice cider on tap. The burgers were good, though marginally under cooked, the fries were ok, the chipotle sauce more like chipotle paste mixed with sour cream. Overall I wouldn't make the effort to go back.
