I’ve walked past this lovely-looking pub on many occasions but, for whatever reason, never had a chance to venture in. I love the bowed window and we sat at the table inside of it, today, for the first time. Well kept Fuller’s ales and great wine selection. Staff were really friendly too. A hidden gem of a pub in plain sight.

Wonderful to be back after all the lockdowns and work from home. Excellent selection of wines and beers and if hungry go for the platter, if not the toasted sandwich choice is still on the menu.

Been past the pub a number of times, but this was the first time that I'd ventured in. Nice, clean and tidy. Friendly staff, had the tuna melt toasted sandwich,which was nice. Will go in again when next in the area.

Quiet, and classic. Good deals on most days. Service and food were good. Platter was huge and can be shared easily between two or three as nibbles. Not a large spirits collection but that's not why you go to a pub like this. Pleanty of choices for tap beer and cider.

A nice comfortable pub. Great polite staff and a great selection of beers. This is a small pub but cosy. It seems quite popular especially since the change in management in February. Set away from the main thoroughfare it's a nice place for a drink.

Nice and comfortable, decent selection of food where the menu strikes a good balance of choice, uncomplicatedness and quality. Usual city prices for alcohol but they also pull proper pints of Guinness, not the usual "extra cold" Guinness that's tasteless and improperly served at many other English establishments.

This is a well kept establishment with a relaxed atmosphere offering a good selection of beers and tasty toasties. I had decent pint of Frontier Lager and enjoyed listening to a group of men talking about Gary Oldman’s performance as Winston Churchill in The Darkest Hour. If you you get a chance to visit here I would recommend sitting by the beautiful bay window. This is a nice well kept handsome pub well worth popping in for a pint. 📊 Information correct on visiting 16/01/18

like it as a pub, could do better for food. The drinks are pretty good, some variety on tap, good wine selection and good space. Food wise its a great concept, some toasts and snacks, keeping it simple, which unfortunately doesn't pay because of stingy filling of the toasts. shame as this could be a great pub along with a spot locals could enjoy some food.

I go here with colleagues on a regular basis and they have great selections of beer and wine. More importantly the staff are absolutely lovely, especially Michaela, Laura and Ellen. Always helpful and in good spirits. Highly recommended!

Lovely pub serving a variety of ales, beers & Lagers from around the world including some nice homegrown craft beers. Staff very friendly and accommodating, should you wish a taster they will offer. The pub appears to be recently done up because everything is in pristine condition. Certainly worth a visit.

Lovely pub, used to come all the time but can you please bring back the mushroom truffle toastie? we have stopped coming since it's no longer available and there are any other suitable veggie options if you do not eat goat cheese or fancy brie! Please! :-) Let me know x

This pub is small but quaint. Its limited selection of nibbles suits you if your a bit peckish but nothing substantial, either way they are yummy! It can also offer space upstairs and can be reserved which is good for an intimate setting which can hold up to 25-30 people.

I'm a huge fan of this pub - they have lovely wines, great beer, knowledgeable staff recommendations. For food, their sharing platter of meats and cheeses is delicious, but the standout winners are their toasted sandwiches - just what you need after one too many glasses of red!

Not your average Fuller's pub, the Sutton is a real treat since the refurb. No longer the clique old man's boozer but a cozy pub with really friendly and welcoming staff. There is a really fab range of beers here, again not your standard Fuller's offerings, and although the food menu is small it is perfectly formed with the best cheese toasties I have ever tasted. Very happy to have this gem of a pub as my local!

Great little pub, but emphasis on the little, so advisable to get there early as usually v busy and limited tables available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Small menu, mainly cheese and meat boards or toasties, but also do good selection of nuts and crisps. 2 mins walk from Barbican tube.

One of two "Sutton Arms" in the area. This, the "front Sutton" is probably the better. Has had a refit recently. Good beer and sometimes has live music. Friendly staff, however not that many seats and can get very cramped in the lower bar. Try upstairs as it is much quieter.

Very much a 'City (of London)' pub but with unusually (in my experience for a 'City' pub) a classy and congenial rather than 'showy' ambience. The clientele says it all : apparently no loud revelling young 'OTT' bank and insurance bods here. A good place for an evening drink. Especially if you have a week spot for their excellent "La Chouffe" Belgian beer : but at 8% you need to go easy as it goes very easily indeed. The food offer is limited and a bit pricey : but very contemporarily trendy. Would I patronise again ? Yes : and I would go out of my way to do so if I was anywhere in the area.

Beautiful decor and a delicious draught menu. I enjoyed a pint of Beavertown's Gamma Ray here during the recent heatwave and instantly fell in love with this beer. I would've guessed it was a west coast IPA by all the tropical notes you get. Will be back soon!
