Reviews of The Ten Bells

Awesome place. We come here every week for the pub quiz! 7:30pm every Tuesday. £2 entry! Sometimes it’s very busy so best to book a table if you want to come to the quiz
J. C.
Nice historical pub with friendly staff and a good selection of beers but not many spirits to choose from. Was a shame when we went that upstairs was closed
T. G. (.
Historical Pub. Well known for the Jack Ripper homicides. Nice staff!
J. T.
Great historical pub with traditional interior ,used to be called "the Jack the Ripper". Good value for price, friendly bar staff, definitely worth a visit.
C. J. G.
Good beers on tap but lack of spirts.
Nice staff. Close to spitalfields market for any shopping. Old fashion decor that gives plenty of character. History involving Jack the ripper. Has three floors and outside area for drinking. Toilets are a bit treacherous, beware.
M. T.
Great Bar, good selection of Drinks and great staff, nicely set out place
K. W.
Great Atmosphere, amazing drinks friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Can get busy but it overflows onto the street outside and part of the fun. Quite during the day of you want to enjoy the decor and a more relaxed atmosphere. I'd recommend for a night out or as part of your pub crawl. You won't be disappointed.
C. E.
Lovely bar upstairs for a drink. Great cocktails which are made with passion!!
Interesting art work on the walls 😉
I. H.
A little disappointed as it is a one room pub and expensive given the connection to Jack the Ripper which attracts people. All upstairs closed when we visited, if you're not in the area then don't bother.
J. G.
Great old pub in old east end looking area
L. M.
Went there after a "Jack the Ripper" walk as that's where his "5" victims drank....and possibly Jack himself....love a bit if history. Very busy, nice atmosphere, they have an upstairs but didn't go up there
L. D.
Such a great pub anyway, but josh behind the bar really went above and beyond. My phone was dead and I needed to get back to Balham so was quite stressed. Josh saw I was stressed and went back to the staff room and got his own charger for me, which meant I was able to get home ok. Such lovely service and excellent atmosphere!
A. E.
Great pub with an authentic atmosphere and genuinely interested in serving staff. Big plus is that it’s not overpowering with music and loud bunter.
You can find your spot and be at peace with your friends (if you have any) and the crowd.
I will be coming back, my friends all had different feedback, I will send them to the ShanGriLahLah next time around.
Love to All!
P. J. N.
Historical pub in Spitafields which retains its Victorian interior, full of history and overlooked by Spitafields Church. Steeped in Jack the Ripper history.
s. z.
Great pub. Excellent location and a very pleasant atmosphere. It's nice and compact inside but the large windows makes it feel bigger. There is a great selection of drinks and several interesting beers on draft. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return
M. K.
You will never be disappointed by visiting this old pub. Always buzz of local people. Londoner and tourist. Lot of rush always better go on first floor to get a seat. Located at 84 Commercial Street (at one time known as 33 Church Street). Difficult to get parking and very few seat for sitting so outside drinking is popular in this bar.
N. J. (.
Great wee pub to pop in. We went for the history and connection to the Ripper victims. But its such a wonderful space. The tiles are gorgeous and the effort to maintain the look of the pub I think is something so worthwhile doing.
There's not much seating but the place is small. There is room upstairs but it wasn't open when we visited.
The toilets are downstairs with no easy accessible option that I could see.
The pints are pricey, 2 cost us £12.
They offer sharing boards with 3 options and that seems all there is for food, but it's a nice choice if you were going to stay for a few rounds.
Very glad we popped in.
I. L. (. G.
I like this pub it was small but kind of cool situated across the road from the Spitalfields Market a place of high vibe and energy I feel. The staff was friendly and the price of the drinks was reasonable
J. S.
Good pub with a nice vibe, just a little small for how crowded it can get
T. B.
Great historical pub. Can be busy after the work day, but so cool. This pub is right in the area where the 1880 ripper murders happened.some even suggest the ripper may have taken a pint in the pub. Also to note this place has not changed much since.
D. T.
Lively corner pub next to Old Spitalfields Market. Fair selection of beers but only three cask ales. Good place for a pint though! Many visits later and still love the place, just a great place for a pint and a chat. Staff are welcoming and enthusiastic, a great team! An extra star for opening up after the great plague!
P. D.
Big circular bar with a decent range of beers and is open late-ish for a pub so central
N. Z.
Great local experience and xlose to Spritfield market
m.
The Ten Bells is a fairly standard British style pub opposite Spitalfields Market. Always a good sign, The Ten Bells is pretty much always busy. There's limited space inside and near impossible to get a seat downstairs, but usually there's some space upstairs. The customers tend to stand outside, in all seasons, even during winter. The atmosphere is usually good, lively in a everyone having a good time sort of way.
G. S. C.
Great East End pub with loads of history. Well worth a visit, time and time again.
s.
Excellent pub, with a great atmosphere, in a historic part of London. Recommended...
J. a. R.
Great service; a busy and happy atmosphere.
s. b.
We were on a jack the ripper tour and thus was the last stop. The pub had a brilliant atmosphere great way to end a fantastic eve.
E. J.
Myself and my work team came to the Ten bells for their weekly pub quiz which is every Tuesday. Would definitely recommend booking in advance as it is in quite a small room and the tables all get booked up.
The quiz itself was excellent. Drinks were usual London prices. Great atmosphere and the pub has a lot of character and history. Will be returning!
W. c.
Popped in for a drink here. Busy and noisy downstairs but chill and quiet upstairs. We went upstairs for the gin cocktails, they are mostly the same with grapefruit and rosemary but they were very nice and served by nice staff. Love the decor and the feel of the place and will definitely be back for more. In a popular area with a lot of choice this place is well worth a visit
D. M.
Beautiful interior and staff were amazing. Perfect Guinness (I'm a hard critic) and great place to watch Spitalfields spill out into London.
11/10.
S.
Nice little historic pub. Always busy though. Good selection of beers and good staff.
D. S.
Historic pub in Spittlefields, next to Christ Church; the home of the bells after which the pub is named. Also a less nice connection with two of Jack the Ripper’s victims.
The pub has floor to ceiling tiled walls with dark wood surrounds and a small area of the pavement for fair weather drinking. Very popular with after work drinkers. Definitely worth a visit.
E. T.
Had a great time at Ten bells great service & a good vibe will defiantly be back next weekend !!!!!! The manager with the ponytail was great and so was the team
K. B.
Nice bar in the heart of Shoreditch. Just a stone throw away from Spitafields market. The beers averaging around £5 a pint. The seating was very limited and the staff could have been more accommodating. But overall a standard pub with a young vibrant atmosphere. I would go again but not in a hurry. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible.

❤️ Iconic Victorian pub in the heart of Spitalfields.
.
The pub is located just a five minute stroll from Aldgate East station and on the corner of Commercial Street and Fournier Street opposite Spitalfields Market. The pub is infamous for its association with Jack The Ripper and the pub even bore his name in the 70’s and 80’s but was changed back after various protests. Architecturally beautiful inside and out, this place has had a lot of love and care given to it to maintain its Victorian heritage. I visited late afternoon during the week so the pub wasn’t overly busy and had a nice chilled atmosphere, seemed a good time to visit so I had a bit of a mooch about and look at this boozers handsome interior. The service was good and the barman was chatty so this pub is not just a pretty face, this place has a heart too!.
.
I love this part of London maybe more for days gone by and learning to love its new gentrified face, the pubs may have lost alot of their characters but not their character.

Great atmosphere amazing staff & great drinks such a Gem in London would recommend!!!
A. H.
Fantastic pub, great staff and a great selection of beer. It's definitely a must visit if you're in the area.
S. B.
Cute pub with traditional interior just outside of the covered area of spitalfields market. The upstairs cocktail bar is worth a visit! fast service & they'll make you an espresso martini even though it's not on the main menu. But if your doing cocktails do expect London prices £9 a glass.
C. M.
Old and historic!! Great atmosphere! It's changed A LOT in 10 years. Lost a lot of the "old world" charm but still worth it. VERY crowded and hard to find a seat.
J. M.
Amazing bar, great atmosphere and the music is on point. Had an amazing time!!!!!
J. M.
Very often you heard about historic places with very good stories, here you have the stories and good beers/ciders too. I was living in Dorset and this place reminds me it because I drank a good cider!
Plenty of people seated, stand up and chatting
O. J.
Visited the pub this afternoon. Absolute stand out feature is it's one of those hard to find remaining Victorian pubs. Complete with tiled walls. It's quite a small pub set next to Spitalfields market in the Liverpool Street vaguely Aldgate area. The staff were very friendly and there are tables outside for better weather. I haven't eaten there but I would definitely say it's worth a visit if your looking for the fast disappearing type of pub this undoubtedly is. Oh and the actual bar is very small and busy.
C. B.
Great traditional pub. If you're in Shoreditch make a pint of paying a visit.
m. f.
Nice pub.. Cosy and lots of History and popular with Jack the Ripper tours..
C. M.
Fabulous to return to this historic pub after a long enforced break. In the top slice of London pubs.
L. -.
A great pint and lovely staff. It's prices are to be expected for the area and worth it for a quiet few drinks.
C. p.
Awesome pub , friendly staff great drinks. What more could you ask.
K. S.
Good old pub. Friendly staff with good service. Decent range of beer.
A. K.
Great pub. Very old and lot of history behind it. Do check the staircase to first floor.
d. s.
Brilliant staff so funny they really enjoy their work. Makes it great to visit x
L. S.
I visited as a tourist due to the history associated with Jack the Ripper. The place was busy when I arrived with people standing inside and outside. After a walk around the different floors there is nothing special here other than associated history
J. D.
Awesome Pub with super friendly bar service! We were doing a mini pub crawl and trying to hit a half dozen spots that night, and Ten Bells was definitely one of the best! The Bar staff recommended the razorback and now I'll do the same as it was a deliciously smooth beer worth trying. This place is highly recommended.
B. C.
A historic yet contemporary pub with a vibrant atmosphere and wide selection of drinks.
C. C.
Lovely pub, love the mosaics on the walls. The staff were friendly and efficient but I was a tad disappointed I couldn’t get food when I came in, it was just as they opened so maybe the kitchen opens later? Reasonably priced too.
M. T.
This is a great pub, especially if you are into history and stories around Jack the Ripper. Can get busy especially after Jack the Ripper tours have finished. The service is good and it is only 10mins walk to Liverpool Street station.
z. c.
Amazing pub with great history for ppl interested in the Jack the Ripper history must visit
C. K.
For me AWESOME experience. Old has 1725 some of Jack the rippe rvictims drink here and... probably him🤔. Some old pump no co2 beer 😍 Épic stuff for beer lovers. The Barman even took the time to make me taste a couple of beers, talk about flavers and even give me some canadien coins that tourist left my lucky day😀. And they even care about your Belongings!Épic!!!
D. M.
Great beers on tap (I recommend the Erdinger wheat beer) trendy crowd and great location on the edge of Spitalfields Market. They have light bar snacks, but from here there is a wide choice of restaurants in the market or a short walk around the corner and you are on Brick Lane and all it has to offer.
G. B.
Good selection of beers, nice service, heated area outside. Would recommend and return
G. S.
Pricey drinks but one of the classic London pubs staff friendly. Decor has been done up since 10 yrs ago shame as the old decor was more dumpy but made it feel as old as the place is. New decor not bad especially the wall art.
S. M.
An amazing place with nice interiors and a dark history from the days of Jack the Ripper. Perfect place for an overall British pub experience.
T. J. M.
Very nice old fashioned pub, makes good cocktails
A. E.
Absolutely amazing place, very lively staff, and the history involves in regards to Jack The Ripper become this place as an essential location to visit
R. P.
Everything was amazing. The food, drinks and service was great and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was to die for! #flatiron
M. L.
Nice bar with good cocktails choices and nice atmosphere. Nice place to go after Jack the ripper museum considering the story of the place and the possible connection with Jack's victims. Good value for price and good service. I would recommended it for sure, especially if you want a Jack the Ripper themed day or night
B. M.
If you like your history you will find this pub in the Jack the Ripper stories
S. M.
Nice bar but quite expensive. Not sure if it's standard for London!
F. B.
Nice place for a drink but if it gets too crowded is very noisy.
K. E.
Nice pub, decent beers
M. T.
Nice Pub to garb a beer while walking in Shoreditch! Will go back
G. N.
Stated for a weekend lovely staff breakfast was very good.
Rooms to ahigh standard.
J. R.
Nice pub with a bit of history. Nice staff.
D. A.
A genuine Victorian pub with original decoration and fixtures. A must after a Jack the Ripper tour
M. R.
Brill little bar and supposedly the drinking den of the victims of jack the ripper....who knows jack himself may even have drunk here at some point too...
R. J.
Nice pub near Opposite Spitalfields with friendly staff and a good selection of drinks, and cocktails!
A. C.
Ok beer, the upstairs is simple beautiful. The smell of wax and wood is simply setting a nice mood, plus the atmosphere and furniture are matching the smells.
i. M.
Want to know how were the times during XIX century??? Come over! This place keeps the exact same decoration and style of 1888 (the year of the killings of Jack the Ripper). Besides some victims of Jack the Ripper used to come here for a booze. It is included in Jack The Ripper's tour as an important place. Regarding the menu: they had such a great deal for pizza and beer for like £12 (or sth like that). Considering that the beer is like £6 it was a great deal!
J. W.
Despite my friend pointing out I was the oldest person in the pub I really enjoyed the Ten Bells. The beers selection is good. The staff are fast and friendly. Its a great location and, thank god, hasn't been ruined by the usual gastropub makeover.
In the area? Do make a point of dropping in. I sincerely doubt you'll regret it Whatever your age is.
B. L.
Lovely old Victorian pub with a lively atmosphere and good choice of draft beers
C. G.
Great pub and great bar staff! Always busy with a fantastic atmosphere. Please visit, then eat at Poppies!
D. H. S.
Legendary pub and still good place to get a traditional cask bitter!
C. W.
Very cool pub and nice staff. Didn't get a chance to try too many beers sadly.
G. E.
Great location friendly pub
M. R.
Historic London boozer with Jack the Ripper links.. Really friendly staff and a large choice of drinks. Would benefit from a lick of paint and some varnish but otherwise a great pub 👍
V. V.
Visited this pub with my my partner and a few friends for brunch and I was honestly surprised. Beautiful decour, friendly staff, extremely relaxed environment (depending on the time of day), board games and the food was very tasty. They ran out of ingredients at one point so we couldn't order what we initially wanted, but I won't hang that over them.
I would definitely recommend visiting.
C. O. N.
We love the Ten Bells, we’ve been coming here for 19 years. It’s bizarre but it seems Covid has made it better.
It’s much cleaner, less packed and we had to have a table.
The beer is looked after and reasonably priced - what’s not to love.
D. B.
Good meeting point, but bloody expensive! £6.50 for Estrella!
J. B.
Came here in the afternoon during a busy Christmas shopping day on the run up to Christmas. Busy downstairs but plenty of space upstairs. Nicely decorated and the staff at the bar were cheerful & friendly. Had a mulled wine. Would recommend this place. I give it 4 pints out of 5. Only cos it wasn't super clean, not that it was dirty as such, just a bit grubby. Not enough to put me off going again by any means
J. B.
Good range of drinks, upstairs cocktail bar for more variety. Lots of history here, particularly if you are interested in Jack the Ripper. Music was from the 1980s a real mix with the 1880s decor! Great pub!
B. W.
Convenient, but wouldn't rush back.
£5.40 for a bottle of Sol.
M.
Great pint. If you want history with a view
j. y.
Up there with the all time best pub or at least well known pubs in London. Without mentioning Jack the Ripper (oops) this bar is a cracking pub to spend some time in. Always buzzing with locals, other Londoners and the odd tourist. Well located just off the Spitalfields market, a street from brick lane and in the vicinity of some other top east end boozers you’re not going to be far or disappointed having a drop here.
D. M.
Had the most memorable 30th/NYE party here and rented out the upstairs bar. Really can't praise the staff and bar highly enough. I love popping back in here for a drink downstairs. It's now one of my all time favourite pubs.
M. H.
My most favourite pub of all time! Been going there for years and it's seen a massive transformation. Fantastic regulars and staff. Never seen or had any trouble in this little gem. Downstairs for a "proper London pub" and upstairs for a few cheeky cocktails.
Simply, love it.
N. T.
Great bar. Staff are so friendly!
V. R.
My favourite neighborhood pub!
n. s.
A historic pub, often part of Ripper tours. Very busy and crowded, not many areas to sit so it's a bit crammed. Definitely more of a hipster place than it used to be. Good selection of drinks and OK prices. The upstairs bar was shut when we visited so can't say what that's like
M. C.
Great traditional East End pub. Friendly service, great choice of beers.
A. P.
Old London pub legendary for its connection with Jack the Ripper. Used be a decent pub but since it was refurbished about ten years ago has, in my opinion, lost its charm, although it does have beautiful tiled walls. Due to the location it gets very busy and therefore noisy at peaks hours e.g. post work. Music varies wildly but in whole just blends in with the noise of people talking. They have a few craft beers on draft but very mainstream/commercial offerings. Enough to keep your average Joe happy but not a beer nerds paradise.
D. B.
Noice. Great location. Good service and standard prices for the area. Nice decor. I'd happily return. Five stars once they go completely plant-based (or better yet, go vegan).
C. O.
Excellent bar staff. The cocktail bar upstairs is fantastic and has some unusual cocktails and versions of Old Fashioneds etc. The bar man that was on duty on the evening we arrived was knowledgeable and passionate about his creations. Very impressive and a must visit for any passers by.
D. W.
Good service and great value best pub around the area
A. M.
Not what I expected and quite expensive but glad I went!
D. W.
Nice pub with tasty cocktails - those are usually on a small side but tasty. We sat upstairs in a reserved area which was pretty cosy. Good place to book for a party of 10-15 people if you just want to sit down for a chat and a drink.
The only think - prices! but also this is central London so go figure.
J. H.
Had a great night here. Love the atmosphere. The toilets were a little grim, but its an old school pub, so, to be expected! Wouldn't put me off going again!
E. L.
Just a good pub in general, had good beer and cider on tap. The story that it's haunted and connected to the Jack the Ripper murders is quite fun. Apparently you can often see the ghost of a woman in the toilets...I went down there twice and didn't see anything unusual, but just hearing that they're supposed to be haunted made it a lot more exhilarating to wash my hands.
T.
Proper old boozer in Spitalfields. Fab original decor. Great range of drinks. Great service 👏
R. R.
Cosy little pub seeped in history, the interior seems unchanged for centuries (in a good way mind) and the staff were nice, always good to see hospitality staff who are happy at their workplace dancing to the tunes on the sound system while serving with a smile.
J. S.
Wonderful Jack the Ripper related pub. The history ozzes out of the walls.
H. J.
Great location and friendly staff but gets super busy and is pretty cramped during peak times. I guess that's just a testament to how popular the place is though! Offers a decent range of beers as well as an Old Fashioned menu which is pretty cool. There's an upstairs bit too which is usually a bit more chilled out and quicker to get service if it's not booked out for a private function.
d. b.
Cool looking bar, especially because of its history. Worth stopping by for a pint.
N. V.
Great old boozer in Spite fields. Was there on a Sunday afternoon with a young hip crowd. Be warned, expensive drinks.
H. S.
Lovely traditional English pub full of history and character. Great selection of beers, pleasant atmosphere and ideal location after which to explore Spitalfields, Shoreditch and areas beyond.
C. D.
Really nice little pub in Shoreditch with a good selection of beers on tap and friendly staff. The atmosphere is always nice and homely due to the size and décor of the place. There is also a whiskey room just off of the main bar area if you'd like to sit and have an old fashioned time.
E.
Good pub with decent beer choice and friendly atmosphere! Also you get a glance of what was London in the Victorian era, due to the history of the pub. See Jack the Ripper :) Recommended if you're in the area and looking for a late night pint.
G. B.
Nice location and good drinks. Cheap cheese board, but they don't serve much food there and if you walk-in, there's only scotch egg and pork pie as a food option. Nice historical place, though. Perfect for a drink after attending Jack The Ripper's Tour.
M. H.
I like the Ten Bells, the beer's always in good condition and the place has a great atmosphere. This was the first time I've been since the C19 outbreak and it was good to see everyone taking precautions seriously.
S. s. D.
Been there a few times lately, wish I heard of it earlier! Not once disappointed... great selection of beers for all tastebuds, biggest gin selection I've seen around here and upstairs they also have a lovely cocktail bar that serves also sharing boards.. To quench
your thirst there are some of the friendliest bartenders, not to talk about the jump back in time as soon as you step in the place... Wow!! Seriously you owe them a visit!
N. H.
Lots of lovely period features in the tiling on the walls. The bar has a good selection of beers on the ground floor. Upstairs there's a cocktail bar which is also worth a visit. A strong pub when you're in the Shoreditch area.
R. S.
Great choice of beers here right across the road from Spitalfields. Went here with a few colleagues before going out for food. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday evening and limited to standing room, which dropped it to a four star for me.
M. J.
The worlds busiest pub, but with incredibly efficient bar staff who somehow manage to function in the whirl of noise and sweaty bodies!
Not one for a quiet pint, but for a few drinks after work with 50 or so of your work colleagues, it simply can't be beaten!
C. A.
Great pint of Guinness good music
G. F.
What a great place to have a pint and feel the vibe of a long lost London. Tiles on the wall will remind you of different times when the industrial revolution was contemporary. The streets outside have witnessed the cluelty of jack the ripper and still when you walk alone late in the night you will hear the echoes of the past..
e. h.
Love this place. Atmosphere a little subdued, Sunday post lunch. Brilliant bar staff. Warm welcome. Recommend. Highly.
P. R.
This is a perfectly fine pub in the heart of the east end. Weirdly has two entrances though and it's not clear whether these two section of the pub are actually connected. Beer selection could be better to be honest (in terms of the more craft side of things) but got a table here on a Thursday evening which isn't always that easy.
O. B.
A pretty average pub. We came here following a stroll through Spitalfields Market on a Sunday. It was already fairly busy at 12:30 and got more so when we were leaving an hour later. It's a pretty small pub with a tiny bar in the middle and not many seats. The staff were friendly and the beer good, but there was really nothing special about it.
Considering the wealth of pubs in London it would be very difficult to find a reason to recommend it to anyone, other than it's role in the Jack the Ripper murders (this was the place in which one of the victims was last seen before being killed an hour later).
There is nothing inside or out which discloses this grizzly history so 'Ripper fans' don't have much of a reason to come here either, other than to take a quick photo of the outside.
It is not an unpleasant pub, but its lack of character in a very colourful and historical neighbourhood means we will be going elsewhere next time we are in the area.
R. B.
Lovely pub with beer to my liking. Arrived just before office chucking out time so managed to get a seat upstairs, best place to be. When the office ladies arrived the decibels went up.
D. P.
As far as I know the cocktail bar upstairs is still the Ten Bells, this is a review for that, as I love Speakeasy style bars, I loved going up there.
They have nice leather sofas, lots of cool artwork on the walls and it was such a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon before all the crowds went.
The drinks were obviously amazing, the staff were super friendly and I saw a few reporters and people taking photos, so I think they may have revamped the place up or trying to tell people about it, I loved it.
You just follow the signs at the back near the toilets if I remember correctly to go upstairs.
M. “. C.
This is a great pub down Brick Lane. Very lively on a Saturday evening with good music and just the right level of inibriation. There isn't a really big choise of beers but that was made up for on 13/4/19 as the Mona Lisa in person was behind the bar. I'd love to show you a photo but I didn't dare ask, so you will have to go yourself.
A. G.
Lovely pub, nice staff, acceptable prices and beautiful antique interior. It gets super busy after working hours, so much that the guests usually stand in crowds outside it’s doors.
Y. H.
Went there for dinner on a Friday night, as we have arrived before 7pm, we were offered the early dinner menu which was of excellent value £25 for 3 courses. The food was beautifully presented, and very generous portions. The sides were extremely large. The service was also excellent. I would definitely visit again.
R. S.
Great place for drinks! It can get very busy, especially when the weather is nice. It's still a great place to be. As the story goes, Jack the Ripper may have picked up his dates at this particular bar. Lots of history here and the area.
S. D.
Okay pub, little space on the inside but fine when weather is good with standing space outside.
g. c.
Cocktails were ok but not amazing
r. c.
My favourite boozer in London
C. D.
A place where you feel good!
R. H.
The wet alcoholic drinks did their job.
J. B.
Came here in the afternoon during a busy Christmas shopping day on the run up to Christmas. Busy downstairs but plenty of space upstairs. Nicely decorated and the staff at the bar were cheerful & friendly. Had a mulled wine. Would recommend …
J. H.
Had a great night here. Love the atmosphere. The toilets were a little grim, but its an old school pub, so, to be expected! Wouldn't put me off going again!
P. W.
Great history in a small local pub. Jack the ripper related
R. S.
Amazing crowd, Reasonably priced beer, chill staff.
R. R.
Cosy little pub seeped in history, the interior seems unchanged for centuries (in a good way mind) and the staff were nice, always good to see hospitality staff who are happy at their workplace dancing to the tunes on the sound system while serving with a smile.
C. S.
Favourite bar in the east end. Historic but modern feel.
Centre horseshoe bar makes for a competitive order but never seems to be too long and staff are friendly acknowledging you while you wait.
S. R.
Excellent old Victorian pub with lots of beautiful original features, and a great beer selection that has plenty of craft beers in tap (though not cheap). Only downside is that because it's so popular it can get really busy, and pretty loud.
N. P.
Great place to meet up after work. Really busy and great atmosphere. Large selection of craft beer and spirits. Has a large upstairs bar if the main bar is too crowded.
T. T.
It's a fine pub that stays true to its history. The Ripper connections are there for the observer but they do an admirable job of neither sensationalizing nor hiding from that grim specter of history. Service is snappy and the beer selection well done. Outside area is a great place to meditate on Spitalfield's history as you sip a well selected ale.
P. W.
Great pub, nice selection of beers. But the original tiling makes the acoustics of the places difficult to hear your friends when it's busy.
Still, nice to stand outside in the summer.
Y. C.
Last thursday night i went to the ten bells and there was an amazing atmosphere. I had a really good food and the drink which was a negroni was very nice in the upstairs bar. All the staff were very kind and professional. So... 5 stars for sure for that historical pub!
T. D.
Nice old bar. Intimate and friendly. Unreasonable service charge every time you order a drink. Food was ok
P. S.
A great English pub. Normally heaving with people in the evening, so come in the daytime for a slightly quieter time. But it’s normally busy regardless.
If you’re a Jack the Ripper enthusiast then it’s a real goldmine inside.
B. S.
This is old school East London. Great decor of old tiles and the toilets are new so it no longer looks like a dungeon down there. Staff are good, Beer selection is ok. It's open late and it's a good place to stand on the street and watch Shoreditch roll past.
E. D.
Fantastic pub in East London. Great pub with great local beer selection. Highly recommend. It's also known as the "Jack the Ripper" pub. One of Jacks victims is said to have been seen here last before her murder.
A. E.
Honest east end pub! Not supposed to look like a swanky wine bar! What it may lack in appearance it makes up for in history- one of the pubs the famous “Jack the Ripper” used to target his victims. Great location opposite Spittlefields Arts and crafts market.
E. S. A.
Amazing like always music and environment
T. R.
The staff here are always really friendly regardless of how busy it is which is nice.
There are three different areas - outside, inside and the upstairs bar so it's a little like a tardis in that there's always more room.
Of course it has a history and that's why it can be popular with tourists but they have a good gin selection and the costs are fairly on the low side of average for London which is great.
At the moment in the upstairs bar they're having an Italian Campari theme so check it out.
D. L.
Cute pub, lovely friendly welcome!
T. C.
Nice place for a quick drink or team social.
C. B.
It's tough to rate a bar because it mainly depends on the person you go with. I went with cool persons, we all got what we came for, so there is no reason to go under 5 stars. The prices seemed adequate, and the range of beers seemed good too. Voilà.
S.
Delightful East London pub with the coolest staff you're going to find anywhere. Also one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had, garnished with a raaher of crisp streaky bacon. Perfect pitstop before a lazy Sunday strolling Brick Lane and it's surroundings
J. M.
Proper pint of guinness
M. H.
Great little pub with a lively atmosphere. Came here on a midweek evening an it was heaving! Upstairs was a private party, and downstairs was standing room only.
R. A.
A great pub with a buzzing atmosphere and a good selection of beer. It has a lot of history, and interesting decor. It also gets the sun in the evening - perfect in the summer to have a beer and stand outside the front.
J. K.
Okay so this place existed a long time ago an still exists now, many makeovers later but still a place that's synonymous with a few well known ladies of the night, to name a couple Mary Kelly and Annie Chapman and there supposed known association with this infamous pub.
D. G.
It's my favourite pub in East End. Great atmosphere and an influence of arty Brick Lane, which is just in 100 meters. And one walking tour by another are coming here like waves, explaining and explaning that here, by The Ten Bells, Jack the Ripper killed two of his victims...
B. K.
This Historic pub just has a great pub ambiance and a great beer smell! I was served the Best Pimm's drink ever...add a few nibbles and it's a great location to discuss Jack the Ripper.
J. M.
One of my favorite traditional pubs in London. Great beer, and you can get pork scratchings! Very historic, old building. Be warned, quite small.
P. W.
Attractive pub interior, worth a visit.
J. M.
Great boozer around the Spitalfields area. Always lively and good atmosphere plus normally a great beer selection on draft - I’ve been drinking the Four Pure Juice Box here recently which is super nice.
B.
Decent old pub which is often very busy and noisy. Good beer selection but perhaps not as good as other nearby pubs. Try the excellent pork pie for a traditional tasty snack.
A. B.
Historical pub, much fun for tourists as for the east londoners. First time I was brought there by a friend, he was telling about all the legends that went on in the past here. I was mainly mesmerised thinking about Jack the Ripper times and as an artist was having some vision. Or perhaps was the beers, :-) Would like to visit again soon, who knows perhaps creating some panoramas! That would be awesome!
M. d. S. (. C.
Classic east london pub. Decent variety of craft beers and legend has it that Jack Ripper use to have a drink at this local. Been around for more than 200 years .
J. S.
Full of history and tradition aswell as good people
M. T.
Was here as part of the Strawberry Tours - Jack the Ripper Walk as this place is one of the last places where the last victim was seen
P. P.
Cozy interior. Authentic London design. Close to Spitalfield Market and other shopping destinations. Not empty during the week! Stellar service. I like that you can hang outside as well. Nice clean bathrooms with no queues. For as many people that tend to be in here, it's cozy and not crammed.
D. J. B.
The criminally romantic will like this as the watering hole of two of Jack’s victims - Annie and Mary. Good spot but usually heaving, although can’t really blame them for popularity. Decent selection of beers.
T. P.
A great pub, and very historic. The service has always been good every time I've been there, thanks guys!
H. Y.
Super friendly and efficient bartenders. Good prices on drinks too. The bar itself is fairly boring, but worth it if you're nearby and in need of refreshments!
J. G.
Beer was great. Atmosphere was fantastic. Drinking in a pub with such a history was a thrill.
A. M.
Love this pub, dark and moody but they have everything and the bar staff are excellent! One of Londons finest pubs!
L. W.
That was an unusually beautiful day the sun was out believe it or not I was passing to go home the sun was beaming on the pub I thought I'd go in and have a look because of all the rumours I heard about the Ten Bells with Jack and all that and I had a very very nice drop of Guinness alright maybe two enjoy that Sunday we'll go again with friends
J. B.
Great staff, allowed me to try beer before purchase and recommended based on my tastes. Quick service, not dirty at all, just rustic. Seating can be limited as it is small.
E. L.
Historical pub, the place is lovely and old you can tell there has been alot of life here and possibly death as well, its known to be haunted and also to be a place where all of the Jack the Ripper victim's partied every now and then..so its assumed it he might have had a couple of drinks there himself!
F. A.
Very overcrowded pub and if is a classic pub experience that you want that's the right place. I used to go there after work with my colleague for a pint and a good chat with some londoners. Next to brick lane and Spitalfield market it's in the perfect area if you want to wander around tipsy and get into Shoreditch vibes and eventually easily pick a cab that gonna drive you smoothly home.
R. S.
Amazing crowd, Reasonably priced beer, chill staff.
M. E.
Great traditional pub with a good range of beers including from local craft breweries. Well for guys and gals, really friendly and efficient service.
y. z.
One of my fav pub.I've been coming here for years, since i used to work in the area. Its got a number of important things.1)Plenty of space to stand and sit including an upstairs area.2)Good selection of beers.3)Nice decor n friendly staff.4)Space to hang around outside or on a hot day, windows that open fully upstairs.
Sure i'll be back soon.
C. a. N.
Iconic London pub, wonderful tiles, views of a Hawksmoor church and a Jack the Ripper connection makes it a interesting pub for visitors, particularly as its across the Rd from Spitalfields market. Given all this it gets pretty packed, but worth popping by incase you can find a seat.
C. C. (.
Great pub and excellent service. Great selection of spirits and beers and we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff
J. M.
Great pub. Traditional feel in a town that has too many hip spots. Sometimes it's good to just go somewhere normal
g. c.
Cocktails were ok but not amazing
l. t.
Nice little pub. Hubby had always wanted to go there and have a pint. It didn't disappoint.
R. S.
The choice of drinks are good, but we booked top floor which was conjusted for 10 people. Middle floor has nice room to sit for 30-40 people. Good place but not great!
N. W.
My favourite pub in London! It gets busy but if you avoid the 'City' crowds it's the perfect place to hang out with friends.
L. T.
Came here as part of our pub crawl around shoreditch, was a lovely little place to start it all off! Nice drinks, nice atmosphere - all very cosy.
J. S.
We stopped by for a few drinks recently and have no issues to report. All was perfectly fine, absolutely no reason we wouldn't call in again when we're nearby.
Thanks all !!
A. F.
Great pub, nice staff, but best of all, Stone and bloody Wood on tap! I’ll be coming back
M.
Everything that's good about a proper boozer, lively and great staff even when it's rammed and busy they're friendly and polite. Great choice of beers beautiful tiles fresco too.
N. D.
Use to be really good but like so many good pubs the beer selection is a bit trendy but drinkable, the toilets could do with a lick of paint and a few more benches outside if possible.
R. A.
Loved this place. Fast and knowledgeable bartenders and good tasting cocktails. The atmosphere is like I think a British pub is supposed to be like.
S. T.
Best thing about this pub - people who work there. Despite the bad weather they made it work.
M. G.
This pub has Great history and had character...but seems to have been watered down in recent years!! Still a decent drink though..
I. F.
Excellent and hardly touched since Jack the Ripper was killing in 1888. It's had a chequered past but is now a welcoming watering place next to the beautiful Christ Church . Old original houses can be seen in Fournier Street outside.
D. P.
If you like the story behind Jack the Ripper, this is a bar you must go. The bar itself doesn't have anything special, is just about the story about Jack the Ripper. Cool place to go though.
c. c.
I'm from America and am curious, was this pub the main spot for the Jack the Ripper victims? I've never been here but didnt want to give a place a low rating that I've never been to, however, I'm totally curious about the pubs past!
C. P.
Excellent beer and good atmosphere. The music was brilliant and at just the right volume to hear but not so loud you couldn't talk.
T. M.
Nice pub with a good range of beers and also an interesting cocktail menu. Can be a bit crowded/loud downstairs when upstairs is closed (which it seems to be quite often)
C. L.
Fun pub with good music and drinks! Perfect to warm up on a Saturday night but can get a bit loud..
r. s.
Nice pub, but extremely busy and loud when we were there which meant the service was a little slow and we had to shout to be heard. Good amount of seating though.
S. V.
Been few times now, great pub, fantastic layout, old and traditional, big range of beers, atmosphere always great!
G.
Lovely bar just beyond Spitalfields, there is a upstairs area with its own bar which is open from 6pm. Drinks are reasonably priced for London.
N. J.
Nice pub not very far from the Liverpool Street station. Good choices of beers on tap and bottled. Good Czech pilsener on tap.
G. s.
Famous 'Ripper bar' virtually unchanged since Ripper times
R. V. B.
Awesome place, great beers and great people
B. K.
Had a few pints with a mate. Small and crowded, but good beers and prices. Lots of good Jack the Ripper history.
A. L.
Good british pub not much seating but great atmosphere, lots of history (see the ripper tour!) and decent selection of beers
D. T.
Very cozy atmosphere with that "Jack, the ripper" feeling due to his story (it seems he took 2 of his victims in this pub!) and the decoration going back to 19th century (restored, of course, but still nice).
T. O.
Good pub. Not much insidey space. Comes into its own in the summer. Just don't step outside the white line on the pavement or you'll be carried off by gryphons.
D. S.
Great place to go for craft beers, and if you want to be close to the history of back the ripper. This place has a great vibe, with a variety of music being played throughout the visit.
L. S.
Love this pub. It's usually crowded and the crowd pours into the street. But the pub has character. Seating is available upstairs and sometimes has live music
L. M.
Everything sticky and they don't serve food after 7, which is not really nice. We had to leave because we were hungry, otherwise we would've stayed way longer. Their loss.
L. S. (.
Interesting decor. A very decent selection of pints and a good location.
Not much space to sit inside if it's busy, but you'll see plenty of people on the street.
O. B.
Very busy, but nice pub. Can be loud, and upstairs can get a bit warm.
Drinks aren't badly priced, standard really.
N. H.
Love the upstairs bar. It's really laid back and has fantastic cocktail list. Good service and a great atmosphere!
B. I.
Busy and noisy on a Thursday night! Great beers and a good upstairs area where you can usually find seats.
J.
Loved it fantastic staff and beers will definitely return
A. K.
Good pub to have a drink or two. The crowds spill into the street so it's ok for a warm evening too. I loved the original decor.
A. S.
Not a bad pub but very crowded in the evening and a little dirty. I would come back in the day time as I was really keen to see the historic features.
J. F.
Great old English pub with a sociable atmosphere. The pub itself is rich in history as it was said that there were connections to Jack the Ripper's victims.
F. G.
A fun place, but a little noisy.
T. M.
All the guns and tonics were the same price which meant I could try a fancy one without having to pay extra. A bit pricey, but nice drinks
I. G.
Ordered two Aperol Spritzes from the bartender and he said “these are the best Aperol Spritzes in London” and while I haven’t sampled every Aperol Spritz in town, I am now sitting at the official Aperol pop-up near Liverpool Street station and have to say that his were better 🤷♂️
D. O.
Fantastic proper boozer. Switched on staff, terrific beers and Just the right atmosphere. Loved it as a tourist and will certainly return.
S. F.
An candlelit oasis of calm mere steps above the bustle of the Ten Bells pub and the roar of Commercial Street. Well-mixed cocktails precede a short menu of imaginative dishes (3-5 each of starters and mains), British in orientation but with thoughtful foreign influences. A civilised haven from the cares of the day!
G. A.
Great pub to meet friends. Easy to find, hip and has a decent independent drinks selection. Good beers.
S. M.
Great little pub in London with really reasonable prices. A rare treat! Situated across from Spittalfields it was a cosy little pub to end our evening out.
K. C.
I have always loved this pub. But now with gentrification prices have doubled. Always rough and ready but now pricey it has taken the shine off of a visit.
R. R.
Nice one time East End boozer filled with tourists on a rainy Saturday
b. j.
Very nice pub, buzzing atmosphere, lovely staff and over all is jack the ripper's place
M. C.
Classy, busy pub in a great location. Beautiful traditional interior. Wide selection of beers from small producers.
D. F.
Not a bad place for a swift half. Music was on point. Served quickly. Token drunk guys bumping into you. All round solid night
M. D.
Great beer selection, friendly staff, good food. Definitely a good spot to enjoy an evening!
J. B.
Nice pub, not loads of indoor seating but comfortable and lovely location. Affordable and friendly staff. Would recommend.
l. p.
Ten Bells, more like eleven, I was rung out and they rung me up.
F. B.
Very nice Pub! great beer! best option after the Jack the Ripepr tour!
G. M.
One of my favourite meals of these past few months was at Upstairs at Ten Bells, the Young Turks British restaurant above the historic Ten Bells pub in Spitalfields.
I went at lunch time, so that I could take advantage of the Two Courses lunch deal (£17): I ordered main course and dessert, while my friends ordered starter / main, so we could all try a bit of everything.
My favourite dishes from the snacks/starters menu were: Breaded Aubergine, Sweet & Sour Caper, Walnut & Parmesan; Buttermilk Chicken & Pine Salt; Fried Cuttlefish, Jersey Royals, Red Pepper & Lovage.
As main course, I loved the Roast Pork Loin, Fregola Sarda, Peas, Gem Lettuce & Roast Onion.
Dessert (a Cheesecake with Peanut Crumble & Loquats) was really special.
With service charge and a glass of wine we spent about £22 each, for a fantastic meal in a quiet and beautiful room and top notch service.
I definitely recommend it if you work in the area or have a day off! Of course, dinner is great too, but it's probably advisable to book in advance.
S. H.
jack the ripper walking tour.
F. K.
It was amazing! Got a good sense of what it was like back in 1888 when jack The ripper killed his victims who actually use to drink at the pub. Also the loos were very scary
J. R.
Great corner pub. It had a nice feel and service was well done.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
E.
Nice old style pub in the area of jack the ripper operations. Good bier and the guiness is really good
R. O.
Nice pub; we stopped in because of its reported association with Jack the Ripper. I'm sad to report there were no hauntings during our visit.
A. T.
Nice little Pub. Good beer.
S. P.
Busy spot with good staff and reasonable beer selection. Didn't feel overpriced which was a surprise. Interior quite cozy and authentic too. Like.
P. W.
Great history in a small local pub. Jack the ripper related
J. G.
On a wet Friday night in London this quirky bar excelled. The staff are friendly & the music is spot on. Very enjoyable.
D. H.
Great pub for having a few beer. Good location. Historic place. Good chance to interesting people. Friendly staff.
J. G.
Enjoyed the atmosphere upstairs. Great cocktail and good beer with a pork pie. Would definitely visit again.
C. W.
It used to be called ‘The Eight Bells’ until the church next door bought a couple more. The Gilbert and George panel reflects Spitalfields’ contemprary art scene and apparently Jamie Oliver’s great-greatgrandfather was landlord many years ago. The glazed tiled walls are wonderful and the location is very useful but the bogs are disgustingly (in a good way) punk and the beer (mostly Truman's) is rather too expensive. However, the reason I give it a low rating is because of the thicko behind the bar. Being oafish is not an ideal qualification for a barman, but being downright rude is unforgivable. And trying to take a glass away - while you’re still holding it and there's a cm of ale at the bottom? No. Forget it. Get rid of the hopeless moron behind the bar and The ten Bells is worth a visit.
C. L.
Lovely place for a sit down and a pint. Interesting decor and friendly staff. Really memorable place, i like to take my friends here.
P. M.
Good place to meet friends. Music is not too loud, but you'll pay London prices for drinks!
H. E.
Nice piece of history, Jack the Ripper's final victim was last seen in here.
Other than that, nice clean friendly pub.
L. S.
Super cool atmosphere. The bartenders were excellent and super responsive. Loved getting drinks at such a historic place!
A. D.
The pub was rammed and it took a long time to be served. It was a pleasant day so we drank out on the street. It has some charm.
A. M.
Very nice range of ales and in a very trendy part of town. Located very close to Brick lane which makes handy for finishing off a very nice curry night😆
E. T.
Great place for a lunchtime pint in the sun, stand within the lines though. A room with a bar, not quite as much character as before it was done up!
M. R.
My fav watering hole in spitalfields
K.
Great pub, fantastic and friendly staff and amazing beer. Super positive vibes in this pub despite its dark and scary past!
S. M.
Atmospheric historical pub in good location. Great new first floor room, but not always open even you want it to be.
R. C.
I LIKED THE VISIT BUT ITS BEEN CHANGED FROM WHAT I REMEMBER. I WENT ON A JACK THE RIPPER TOUR AND VISITED THE TEN BELLS THEN. IT WAS LIKE GOING BACK IN TIME BUT NOW IT DIDNT GIVE ME THAT FEEL OF THE PLACE. TIME PASSES AND PEOPLE LOVE TO CHANGE THINGS. SOMETIMES ITS BEST JUST TO LEAVE IT ALONE.
K. S.
Great service - could not do enough to make sure we had a fantastic time!
J. G.
Good beer .staff .atmosphere n history
M.
Nice staff. Good atmosphere. Can get a little crowded at peak times. Good selection of beers and spirits.
J. N.
Nice pub, good selection of beers. It's usually very crowded in the evenings.
A. H.
Great little pub that's gets packed outside at busy times. Visit upstairs for more space and a seat.
A. O.
Historic "Jack the Ripper" pub in Spitalfields. You won't go wrong coming here. 4 stars overall, with an extra one given for the historic element that this pub carries with it... ie. Jack the R.
A. W.
History, history, history!!...immerse yourself in the surroundings less of the Ripper, than of the nature of Whitechapel over time. Old photos show a money lender next door. How many went sadly from one to the other?
M. H.
Great range of beers and a really lively atmosphere. Welcoming staff and patrons for out of towners.
D. P.
Nice pub, but pricey even for London. £7.20 for a small wine as don't do large was Abit overpriced.
R. B.
went to The Ten Bells last Saturday what a great pub, love the decor and the crowd that was there but the selection of beers was amazing ( being a craft beer drinker ) really good choice of music on too , we only went for a couple of drinks on our way to Shoreditch but we ended up staying till closing time great music great beer great times
T. k.
Friendly staff, nice place
J. L.
Great historic pub with beautiful interiors. Check out the nod to artists Gilbert and George in one if the paintings by the window.
S. H.
Great pub! Gets full fast, but if you can grab a spot, it's a great place to be.
S. S.
One of the best pubs in the area. Great vibe, good staff and good choice of drink.
M. B.
Sandwiched between a glorious 18th Century Christ Church designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and historic Victorian Old Spitalfields Market this gem of a pup offers a slice of life from Jack the Ripper's London, so good even Jamie Oliver featured it in Jamie's Great Britain.
C. F.
A cool place to have a drink... The only downside is that in order to maintain its victorian essence the stairs and walls are not in a good state
C. B.
Like this place. Proper pub feel which is rare these days. Staff were helpful and good selection. Will come back.
N. R.
A bit run down but full of character and very helpful staff
P. S.
Good selection of beers and wines, good atmosphere, nice roof terrace and a great location. Well worth a visit.
N. B.
Typical english pub, the famous one of Jack The Ripper. Very nice place with interesting furnitures, also different kind of beers
P. R.
Under new management and new staff. Ignore any reviews older than 6months ago. Totally new menu and completely new ethos. No more food just booze, booze, booze.
R. B.
Busy small pub in a trendy area. Good place for a quick drink.
j. h.
I was there for at Patrick's, this bar is all you can expect from a pub. Cheap bier, nice barmen/maids, live music, good crowd.
R. H.
The wet alcoholic drinks did their job.
M. “. D. D.
Love this pub. A piece of history. You can't miss it if you are visiting the area.
J. H.
Great service, great beer. Only thing letting them down is the rude doorman
F. J.
A good pub to discover because in London there is competition and the differentiated is super complicated! I advise it because very friendly atmosphere -)
A. B.
Good pub with good selection of beers. Can get quite crowded during peak times
J. L.
Wonderful pub. Excellent staff and great selection of beers. Go and try it

Beautiful pub located in East London, Tower Hamlets, Perfect to have a nice beer!
O. P.
Always enjoy having a drink here when in Spitalfields - staff are always so unbelievably friendly and there's always a nice buzzing atmosphere!
P. T.
Old world pub with good beer selection but the busy road spoils the atmosphere somewhat.
K. J.
Love this pub. Usually heaving but quieter now due to lockdown
J. L.
very nice indeed
J. F.
An good pub to pop in for a pint or two. It's relatively cramped inside but never had any issues with the staff.
r. c.
My favourite boozer in London
J. D.
Good. I like the vibe. The staff seem to know what they're doing - even though it's often busy it never seems to take a long time to get served.
K. S.
Lovely pub, very busy and bustling but had a great atmosphere
J. T.
Typical London boozer, we drank outside as such a gorgeous evening so can't really comment other than saying the wine was great !
S. B.
Cozy old codgers pub but cleaned up to be a bit trendy. Good beer and general pub feel.
s. p.
If your ever in London has a drink in here staff are great n beer is great just watch out for Jack
K. P.
Cool and nice atmosphere there, you discover definitely a part of London's history through a visit.
M. F.
Good selection of beers, busy post work crowd de-briefing over pintsixed with the usual quirky and cool Shoreditchers.
P. O.
Fab service, drinks and staff oh not forgetting the music 👌
C. J.
Nice little pub
M. S.
Nice atmosphere, fantastic choice of whiskey and had a brill new years party here.

Good pub for a quick pint. Can get a little crowded but still a good atmosphere.
M. J.
Interesting historic pub, quick service and very lively venue. Good choice in the area
S. K.
Fun historical pub with original tiling and Jack the ripper fame. Be prepared to pay tourist tax/ London prices
C.
Traditional but pricey!
D. E.
Always love the 10 bells. A great history of the ripper and a historic pub that has adapted to modern needs!
A. B.
Great selection of craft type beers, good seating upstairs
K. M.
Lovely east end pub, associated with Jack the ripper. Nice staff
R. W.
Proper, lovely pub, full of nice people - the best choice for after work drinks
S. L.
Good pub in a great location. Historic interior and friendly service.
S. L.
Nice pub with a mixture of locals and hipsters. Upstairs is quieter which is nice if you want a chat.
K. S.
Fun pub with a cool story, nice beer selection and the wife loved the thistly cross cider whisky.
R. L.
good pub, tends to be busy, not much space but a nice pub for the area.
D. N.
I loved the place and time it's history! Very nice and lovely interior, fine stuff...Heaters outside which are useful in England :D
A. Y.
Busy pubs good beers and atmosphere, toilets down steep steps.
F. M.
Very nice authentic - not a recreation but the real old Victorians decor. Just expensive and inexperienced staff.
D. F.
Historic and great atmosphere! Go have a pint so that you can say you drank where Jack the Ripper did!
d. s.
