Awesome place. I booked online after seeing a show which overran, meaning we were super late. I didn't think we'd get a table but the guys upstairs were super chilled and suggested we pop down to see if there was space. The staff down there were so friendly and accommodating even though we were so late and managed to get us on a table. The drinks were flawless and atmosphere very special. I'll definitely be coming back.

This place is definitely catered to small groups and dates but they still Managed to accommodate our group of 10, however across 2 tables. Unfortunately we weren’t really able swap between which was a shame but get it was the rules of the bar. Drinks were amazing! Highly knowledgeable staff with good recommendations

Great cocktails and friendly staff. If you go just after they are open then you might get a table with no reservation. Also, I would highly appreciate if they could mark which items of the menu is vegan/lactose-free.

A delightful experience. Live jazz music in a cosy underground nook. Friendly talkative staff that never felt intrusive. We tried a variety of the cocktails and couldn't find a bad flavour in any of them.

I have been to this place various times and it never fails to disappoint. My only gripe is that die to the size and popularity you usually need to book a couple of weeks in advance. The staff are extremely friendly add to the experience. Good drink choices and excellent service.

This is a speakeasy bar located inside Milroy’s – London’s oldest whiskey shop – offers whiskey and whiskey only. They have bookshelves full of old books at the back, and one of those bookshelves is actually a secret door, to a whole new world below. There is a tiny little sign by the bookshelf that says “The Vault.” The candles and barrels, antique-looking furnishings, and cave or bunker-feel space…romantic, attractive, and welcoming ambiance. It seemed like a really popular bar, we saw people coming downstairs, only to be turned around with sad faces. If you want to make sure you get a seat, then reservation is highly recommended. As for cocktails, since they are in the basement of whiskey shop, whiskey takes the main stage. They also offer all sorts of cocktails that are non-whiskey. We asked our server for some recommendation, and he gave us really good ones! We each ordered different kind of cocktails. They were tasty, strong, and high quality. We enjoyed our drinks for sure! We had a really nice time there, the staffs were amazing with loads of knowledge when it came to drinks. I understand the reason why they are so popular… If you are interested in visiting this spot, make sure to get a reservation beforehand!

Excellent hidden bar. Scored a seat at the bar and the bartender was fab. Not only did he craft excellent drinks, but provided a great level of service. Everyone who was working was exceptionally friendly. Prices were good too - around £10/cocktail. The cocktail menu is small, but they were happy to take requests. Incredible whiskey list. Highly recommend but it is quite small so probably not great for groups over 4-5 people.

Sidenote: Although they're great at drinks, make sure you munch on something before going, or are ready to grab something after. Special heads up: if you've got asthma or any lung related issues, it might be a bit stuffy for you. Still, 4/5✨

Myself and several friends booked the barrel room to celebrate my husband's birthday, and had an awesome time! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, and were happy to offer suggestions. They really took care of us and ensured my husband had a great birthday. The whisky selection itself is great, with a wide variety of options and quite a few unusual options as well! The prices were slightly more than what you would find in a regular bar, but considering the specialist selection of spirits, table service from staff, and the overall 'speakeasy' atmosphere, we were happy to pay and thought the drinks were fairly priced. I would definitely recommend The Vault for small celebrations, weeknight drinks and an impressive place to take visitors!

Wish I’d known about this place sooner. Cocktails are great. The trend for secret speakeasy cocktail bars might have passed (yet never surpassed Please Don’t Tell in NYC), but The Vault really is nice (but not perfect, and in need of tweaks to be really pleasingly good). Honestly, I really enjoyed it down there, but: Please ease back on the incense Please can the really enthusiast waiter stand-up to take my order instead of crouching Please can you not have your hanger on mate / staff member propping up the bar Please don’t hate me for these negatives, because I really liked the drinks; the recommendations; the atmosphere and the location.

Excellent drinks, great ambience, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We had the private room in the back which can be uncomfortably hot in the summer, though I imagine it would be very cozy in the winter. Highly recommend their Old Fashioned.

Such a cool place! Really fun atmosphere and lovely staff! I did question weather I was allowed through the hidden door as we nearly didn’t try to open it 😂🙈 but well worth giving it a push open and wandering down into the scented, low lit, speak-easy. Cocktails are excellent also, mixed by experienced bar tenders with inventive takes on some classics, I loved it!

Without a doubt, one of our favorite places in London. We were recommended the Vault for it's great drinks and live music. Tucked away in the back of Milroy's, you enter the Vault through a hidden bookshelf. Often times, reservations are needed for drinks (only has about 6-8 tables or so). It is very dimly lit. On certain days they have live music (piano and bass). Great vibes! The staff was extremely friendly and ended up chatting with us for a good portion of our time. HIGHLY recommend adding the Vault to your list of stops in London!

It's more of a 4.5, but unfortunately Google doesn't give that option. First time when we went their we couldn't get in as it was quite busy (small place and Friday evening). I love their concept and specially how it is hidden behind a book shelf in another pub. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was the selection of cocktails. I would have liked to see some more variety on the menu. Two out of the three cocktails that we tried were quite good. Must visit bar in London for its setting ambience and drinks add on to it.

Fun hidden bar below a whiskey bar. Walk to the back of the place and push through the bookcase to get in. Went on a weekday without a reservation and it wasn't too busy. We were able to sit at the bar and watch the bartenders create the craft cocktails. Jack and Raz were kind and made us feel welcomed. The place is small, so perhaps reservations are necessary for the weekend.

This unique bar is hidden behind a bookcase at the back of Milton’s whiskey shop in a cosy downstairs space with coves and big leather sofas for an intimate catch up with friends over delicious cocktails. The small but comfortable atmosphere of The Vault sets you in high spirits even before you sip your first “spirit”. Drinks are well priced (but still on the upper end of the beverage cost scale) for the Soho - Greek Street area and overall are made quite well. The service staff was attentive and friendly so it helped the night to go a long way.

Went to The Vault on a rainy night in Soho. The concept of the library door is a very cool effect, especially for unsuspecting friends. The prices are a bit on the high side (we had a bottle of red wine which was average quality, but was charged as a prime wine), but given the atmosphere and the location it is justified. Would reccomend to book a couple days in advance to get a spot.

We'd been to Milroy's (upstairs) before and discovered the vault. Months later came to check it out. We had a fabulous evening. Towards the end of the evening it occured how chilled out, it's the type of place one expects to be stuck up but it is not. Knowledgeable staff and some tasty whiskey based cocktails. It was a very nice touch for the barman to personally delivery a cocktail that was late with his apologies.
