Staff were fabulous, had plenty of delicious beers on offer which they weren't shy to allow us to taste before buying and a huge beer garden with heaters to enjoy them in! Nice staff, good service. Personally, I think comfortable indoor seating would be good. Foodwise, there is nothing on the menu that’s not over the top (way too much going on) and these are just burgers. Chose the house burger - nice but drowned in sauce and with a cold bun. So perfectly fine but not great.

The gammon was lovely but the nuggets in the basket not so good. BLT sandwich was also good. The place, the atmosphere was quiet, relaxing. I'm glad I came here Second time I had an amazing steak and a chicken bacon salad and that was good too. Definitely coming back

Set in a pedestrianised area of Old walthamstow this pub has a good sized garden with heaters and table service via thier app. In pre covid times they also held many events for example an ale tasting evening or a particularly decade night. Also serves tasty pub grub.

A lovely pub! We used to come here a few years ago because of the vegan food and massive garden. The garden has been done up really lovely. Great food, great staff and love that there is a table service and can orden through the app (however it's not as easy to navigate as some other food/drink ordering apps). Just one thing that left us a bit confused is last orders. Pubs would usually let you know that last food/drinks orders will be in x minutes giving you time to order food/drink if you'd like. We were getting hungry just before 10pm and when we decided to order food, the kitchen was already closed. A bit upset that no one informed us of last food orders, although a few minutes later a lady went around tables informing about last drinks orders. So yeah, all in all definitely worth a visit, but the staff should let the guests know re last orders.

Came to visit Sunday 25th July. On entry, the staff were amazing and informative regarding the Covid19 regulations, which made a refreshing change from other venues. We order some drinks and decided we would stay and have some food as their menu was very appealing. We ordered two of their crave beef burgers, cooked 100% perfection. I highly recommend this venue, with its large garden and wonderful ambience. Great selection of beverages beers wines and spirits. I couldn't recommend The Village Pub highly enough.

Excellent serving staff couldn't do enough to make our visit an enjoyable time, I really can't praise them enough for that. Food was decent and had a nice selection of alcohol. The main thing preventing a 5 star review for me however is that the app that is required to order anything was pretty terrible all in all. Not user friendly and had us all scratching our heads while attempting to order.

Pretty much the last pub aropund here that hasn't been gentrified. Sometimes makes a nbice change to go into an old fashioned boozer. They have a decent selection of beers, althopugh once or twice I've had a bad pint. They have always been fine changing it foc with not questions asked. I have never eaten here. And the food looks okay. But it's just standard burger chips etc. Decent beer garden and a good place to watch live footy.

The atmosphere in this pub is reasonably good. The staff are quite welcoming most of the time. There is a quiz night on every Tuesday which is fun. The food is absolutely horrible though. Everything I've ever ordered here has always been a real let down. Today I ordered "uber" chips and chicken wings which I thought would be safe. The chips were like cardboard and the chicken wings were really dry. It's the kind of cooked food that has such little effort put into it that you worry about getting ill afterwards.

We had a few drinks to finish off our celebrations of my daughter's birthday. The village pub is a wonderful venue with a wide array of drinks available, fantastic outside area. I would have given it five stars if not for the last few minutes of the evening. The last orders bell went around 11pm we decided not to get another drink as most of us had nearly finished. Approx 5 to 10 minutes later a female member of staff approached us and said "come on it's fxxxxx closing time, give us ya glasses". She then started complaining that we had moved the furniture around so TOLD us we had to put the furniture back, a few of us started to do this and I thought, no this is wrong. I said "let's go" we all left. It left a bad taste in the mouth on what was a fantastic day up till then. I think a little retraining around closing time would be an idea. UPDATE: Had a conversation with the assistant Manager today and he assured me this wasn't the usual level of staff behaviour. I am confident of this and I would recommend the Village to anyone, as I said originally it is a fantastic venue, clean, airy, fabulous staff, for the most part, and I will be back soon I'm sure.

This pub is average in most respects but deserves a visit for those of us who crave outdoor drinking. The interior is nothing to write home about and the staff seem to have frequent mood swings, swaying between grudgingly polite to rude but the exterior is fantastic! Lots of outdoor space, with room to eat and/or drink and a great atmosphere when the sun is shining. Choice of beer could be better.

Went there last weekend for a drink with some friends. Also it's in the middle of Walthamstow it's aptly name as the area is very quiet and feels like a village in some ways. The staff were very nice and friendly with a reasonably selection of beers. We also had some food. The food selection was your usual pub grub, fish and chips, burgers pies, etc but it tasted good so all in all a good good night out.

This is a really nice pub that serves great beers and food. The food is simple and proper pub food which is a nice change from all the nice but fancy gastro pub in the area. The outdoor beer Garden is very large allowing for a lot of costumers to enjoy the sun when it's out. There is a heated outdoor section, very useful in the winter.

I have been a fan of this great pub for more than 20 years and must have answered about a thousand questions in their weekly quiz. The beer garden is a good place to relax, and even in the dog days of high summer is cooled by the trees that surround the place. They keep a good cellar, and I cannot remember ever having a bad pint here. I was delighted to see one of my all-time favourite real ales on tap on my last visit, the legendary Theakstone's Old Peculiar. The barkeep assured me that it is always on tap, so it won't be long before I return

It's achingly trendy, plenty of man-buns on display, not all of them age appropriate, so after a quick pint I sloped off feeling underdressed and inadequate. THE EARL GREY CHOCOLATE SOUFLE is hands down my favorite desert. I'm not a chocolate person but for some reason, the combo of earl grey and Chocolate is to die for. Love the ambience, love the food, love the service. Great for a special occasion. We like to go early and have drinks at the bar before dinner. The drinks are great.

I've been coming to The Village since I moved to Walthamstow - I stumbled across it when looking for another pub i'd been recommended. It has a great atmosphere, with a good range of beer, wines, spirits and ales - they also serve lovely home-made food which is priced reasonably. The Village regularly hosts community activities such as pub quizzes, family days and beer and ale festivals which always draw in a sizeable crowd. For those of you who enjoy a refreshing beer in the sunshine, The Village has a great beer garden too.

As well as a good range of beer and other drinks (including a foreign beer fridge), there's a really good selection of bar snacks (like mexican and chilli and honey cashews) and teas (llike mojito mint). A pint of Peroni (which isn't the cheapest) is about £3.50. You can sit outside, where there's patio heaters and always space. The decoration is OK, and the seats are comfy and so on, though there could be slightly more ambience.
