Reviews of The Warwick Arms
C. W.
I’m in London 3-4 times a month for the last 6 years or so, visited many pubs and restaurants in that time, this is one place I keep coming back to. Low key neighborhood pub, friendly employees, great food!
K. C.
lovely pub, great Indian food and decorations!
l. w.
Lovely atmosphere, really feels dated in a good way, antiques hanging from the ceiling, rifles fixed on the wall, old medicine bags and pots & pans.
It was pricey but that is what you'll expect with the location {Earl's Court with Kensington Olympia around the corner}.
Curry's from Northern India (cooked for maharaja):
Expensive, whilst looking at the menu, a history lesson on the back of the menu regarding the building Taj Mahal.
There is also information regarding spices and their benefits included in the menu.
We only bought one drink each, double lamb's Rum with lemonade and double Remy Martin on the rocks at the cost of £20.80.
The website offered a dine in only option but I did see a couple of bags of food being handed to a just eat delivery driver.
Sure to return in the future to try the curry's that are cooked for maharaja/maharajah.

Stopped by here for lunch in January 2022 and enjoyed the experience. Quite a small pub with a cosy bar area and a few seats, with another space more suited to meals, plus outdoor seating for warmer days. I had the chicken jelfrazi which was outstanding. However quite expensive including £4.50 for standard plain rice which wasn't included with the curry. Overall through a very nice atmosphere and pub.

What a nice pub. Its getting 5 star due to the service, we we’re made to feel so welcomed and we were so well looked after. Quite a rarity in this day and age. Really Impressed by the young lady who served us, attention to detail such as knowing when we were ready for another drink and providing table service. Really polite, a model example of how to treat your patrons. I was up in London for work and happens to pop in with my colleagues, I am so glad I did, will make the trek out to this pub with my friends and family, it worth the trip if they continue to treat their customers as highly as they did on my random visit.

I stumbled upon this place by chance after taking a wrong turn and am i glad i did. the real ale is very well kept and discovering that they served Indian food i had to invite some friends down to give it a try. The food was amazing and the all four of us thought so. i will definitely be returning. An absolute gem
S. B.
Great little pub with the best Indian food!! The garlic naan is superb!
s. p.
Local pub with Indian finesse! Sumptuous Indian food alongside regular English fare in a traditional pub setting!
B.
Incredibly friendly and welcoming pub. I certainly wouldn't call it a gastro pub, as it has not opted for a modern look, but has stuck to its heritage.
Good choice of drinks and the Indian food is fantastic. I'm not a lover of Indian fodder, but could not recommend more. Very reasonable, inviting and dog friendly.
Perfect for a mellow night out.

Went there as staying nearby but in future I will walk by as it's simply over priced. Had one beer and would have had more but, No one in their right mind should pay nearly £7 for just a pint of beer that is the same beer that you can get down the road a hell alot cheaper. I think it only survives on the nice food rather than a drinkers pub. So drinkers go else where, food peeps give it ago.
K. K.
The best curry in London! Great variety of lager and ale. Great outdoor sitting. We go there very often and adore the place. A jug of pimms in the summer? Yes, please!
B. W.
Great traditional pub. Superb Indian food along with great traditional British pub dishes. Definitely worth a visit. The dish in the picture is a chicken thali. Where you get the delicious chicken curry, dhal, rice, vegetable dry curry, naan, poppadoms and dips.
S. K.
Traditional Indian cuisine and excellent customer service. The place and food 🥘 are just perfect for a nice break after work or hoppy hour.
A. C.
My husband and I loved our meals - the Saag lamb with medium size had a nice healthy kick to it and my husband enjoyed his Chicken Tikka also with medium spice. The bartender was helpful and gave me an excellent recommendation based on my badge description of what I thought I wanted. We will definitely come back in next time we are in the area.
Q. A.
I was there for a private party, so I'm not sure how that compares to the usually evenings. But the buffet was very good and the setting/ environment was very nice.
V. C.
We had a good time here as a group having lunch - they have a large selection of Indian dishes of which most were very good. Service was generally friendly and attentive on a quiet Sunday lunchtime.
S. S.
Came across this place by chance and glad I did. Its a gorgeous old pub with all the charm you'd expect from an old country pub, but serves simply the best Indian food around. It totally eclipses many local Indian restaurants for quality and price, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I haven't tried the British menu yet, but if the curry is anything to go by it will be amazing. A real gem!
P. P.
This is what a British Pub is all about. Quaint, fun and good vibes.
t. m.
Good food and atmosphere, traditional warm beer with limited selection
T. W.
Food was so good and the owner was so nice, will come again 😋
D. C. S.
Chatpata at the Warwick Arms. The food is authentic and delicious! The portions are very big and prices very reasonable! Good ambience as well, traditional English pub with good food and drinks!! You must try this.
H. S.
You can always tell a pub by its toilets! This pub polishes the copper pipes! Therefore you can be sure of well kept beer! Excellent food. The set menu dishes are undersold on the menu. Extremely good with perfect portion sizes.
C. A.
Superb food and lovely pub
T. R.
I loved the food and the lovely personal service
J. W.
Good pub with a small bit of heated outdoor area 👌🏻
S. P.
Very nice place. Good ambience. Not noisy at all. Friendly staff. Food - 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
M. M.
Nice Pub Grub with the option of Indian cuisine! 😏 facilities not that great. Authentic country pub feel - but quirky with the hanging pots 😃 Reasonably priced. Recommended for a nice fish and chips 👍
I. M.
An excellent combination of pub & restaurant. Over-ordered (as you do) so couldn’t finish but no regrets. Great food for Indian pub food, service is quick & friendly, and relatively quiet for Thursday evening @ 8pm.
A. S.
This looks like a proper English pub but serves absolutely amazing Indian food. Being from India, I was slightly skeptical on ordering Indian food in an English pub but the place just exceeded all my expectations. Do try out the place. I would definitely recommend to try out The Seekh Kebab along with Jaipur IPA on the tap.
J. W.
Great food and atmosphere. Looks like your average British Pub, has great Thai food and a good selection of pub food. Everything is excellent, and a nice selection of beverages.
A. B.
Delightful English local pub with a feeling like you a coming home to meet old friends. Incredible atmosphere and will look forward to coming and visiting Kevin again. Tasty steak and ale pies as well as excellent fish and chips.
M. T. L. M.
I've had dinner in this place several times and it has always had a great quality for food and outstanding customer service. The reason for which I am currently writing this review is because last time I had dinner, one of my friends forgot in the bathroom a diamond ring. The person who found the ring made sure to keep it safe and to wait until we came back from a very long holiday to give it back. So apart from great food and outstanding customer service, this place has an excellent management team.
J. J.
Good beers on tap and the curry is very flavorful. Coming from america it is really rare to find a pub that also has a well rounded selection of food and to be reviewed as such. This place feels very local oriented without the "locals only" feel. If you're in the area make sure you get a pint of your favorite amber and a dish of curry here!
R. S.
Brother and I tried it when we read the review from an Indian guy saying he was impressed. So was thinking it would be better than average. It’s not. It’s way better. really good, genuine & tasty Indian food. The biryani was as good as I have had ever outside of India and even better than most Indian places - when you take into account the quality of the chicken. Seek kebab roll was good too and onion Bhaji was also good if a little too oily. Have to come again and try all the other things on the menu. For an Indian the real test is how good the daal is. Anyone tried it?
W. H.
Recently started working nearby and have been here a few times. First time I went on a Friday lunchtime and had the All You Can Eat Indian Buffet which is about £8. The food on offer was ok but the choice was minimal, I expect that this is because there were very few diners so a wide selection would have meant a lot of wasted food but equally only offering a couple of dishes won't tempt people in. Quite a few people came in, had a look and left. If they are going to stick with that small a selection I'd suggest reducing the price to £5 would get more people through the door.
Since then I have only been for a drink and rate it as a decent pub. The interior has a really nice feel to it and everything is very clean and tidy and the staff are very efficient. However considering its setting it is too expensive, I accept that the £5 pint is already upon us but paying £4.50 for a pint of Pride in a Fullers pub a couple of miles from where they brew it is nonsense.
B. R.
Lovely pub with great service. Cosy atmosphere with lovely fire places. Serve Indian food. Recommended place. 👍🙂
R. H.
Wonderful (Fullers) pub on Warwick rd. Serves great variety of beers. Oddly, server fantastic Indian food. Servers are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if nearby.
F. T.
Cosy pub that's a bit out of the way so not too busy. Great menu based mostly around Indian food. Would definitely visit again if I'm ever in the area.
M. M.
A very fine pint of London Pride in a very fine pub, accompanied by the best chicken biriyani I have ever tasted. Can't recommend the Warwick highly enough, and will go out of my way for a re-visit next time I am in London - you really should do the same.
T. D.
Friendly atmosphere in a traditional seeing. Very welcoming. Indian based menu.....with great curry on offer. The samoosas were excellent and the lamb was delicious.
S. H.
I was weary of coming here as the reviews in the last few months have not been great. I have to say, the negative reviews from the last few months should be ignored. They do sound like one or two people who creating multiple reviews that just didn't fit our experience.
This is a lively neighbourhood pub (at least lively at 6:30pm). Very clean, bright and friendly service. Many regulars clearly were settling into a pint and conversation. I can't speak to whether children are allowed in here, but the inaccurate depiction of a tyrant owner barking at patrons is way off.
The indian food was what brought us here and it should bring you here as well. Yes, you can probably get a similar dish in a specialty indian restaurant for a couple pounds less, but the food here is amazing. Our curries were served in bronze bowls that were heated over candles. There are a couple items on the menu that include rice (a meal combo if you will), but we decided to go a la carte. The palak paneer had a nice cream sauce and the cheese was lightly browned. We also had the lamb jalfrezi with a nice hint of cinnamon that surrounded our table.
Again, a little more expensive than most places, but if you want to pair an English pub experience with excellent curries, this is the place to go.
As a frame of reference, we (regrettably) went to masala zone on Earl's court with a couple friends a few nights later. It was abysmal.
M. L.
A porter and some peanuts £7.95. The porter was outstanding. The peanuts were expensive and soggy. Lovely pub and ambiance. I may go again, but I'll give the peanuts a swerve.
R. T.
A real unexpected gem. An old fashioned pub which is becoming an increasingly rare breed in London that serves gods North Indian food. I should know as I am from the area and find it difficult to find a good curry in West London. Recommended.
M. S.
My friends and I had the paneer and Masala with damped rice. Everybody enjoyed their meal, no complaints. In fact I recommend this venue. Thanks to the negative reviews, we easily found a table on a Saturday evening.
Btw there is a sign at the door that children under the age of 10 are only permitted with permission of the owner.
F. B. D.
It was open on New Years lunch! The landlord was serving after giving all the staff holidays. An oldfashioned British pub landlord! I declined the range of appetising beers from the offer on the doubles of Jack Daniels. A great start for 2019!
J. K.
Brilliant. I’m a big fun of Fullers brewery and the way they keep the British pub tradition going and this is a another hidden gem I just found from them. Service is great as you would expect. 5 out of 5.
E. N.
This place was fantastic! We came for a quick dinner bc we had evening plans and we were very pleased with the savory Indian, lovely gins and friendly service. We hope to be back again soon!
N. 9.
A really nice and quiet place with friendly staff.
C. L.
Great pub serving amazing Indian food. Cheese Naan is baked fresh and is so delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala is the one I always go for, paired with a nice cold pint of ale.
J. A.
Dinner with the family. My wife and I got Indian, and our teenager daughter nachos. Everything was tasty and plentiful. Price was moderate, for London.
K. D.
We went there with family and friends. We had 2 toddlers. They accommodated us despite having a policy of not allowing kids under 10 years of age. Their chicken Tikka masala and lamb madras were fantastic. The service was good. Would definitely go there again.
Y. H.
Nice proper pub with real ale.
A. A.
North Indian food was superb. Decent selection of beer. Female staff were rude and closed the pub 30 minutes early.
W. M.
An excellent pub with typical pub food, but with excellent Indian specialties. Enjoyable enough that we wanted to return, and might have been able to give it another star.

Not as noisy as other pubs in the area due to its relatively remote location. Decent enough food and drinks selection.
M. M.
Just a really excellent English pub. The only gripe I have is that it is expensive. The Polish girls who serve are kindness itself, and beautiful to boot!

B. K.
Everything is too expensive for a pub and the food has no test, the service was quick but the bar girl can come across as rude as she is quite sharp she need to calm down
K. R.
The food (Indian) served here is very good.
They need to raise the service standards for the price they charge
K. C.
The food was delicious and fresh tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

(Translated) I would give it 6 stars.
By chance it was the closest place to our hotel to do a Tonic before going to the Hotel to sleep ... and we liked it so much that we went every night.
A spectacularly well-themed place, and without the hustle and bustle of the pubs in the center.
To that is added some Gins prepared with great care at a good price, a fireplace to warm up, and also since it is also a restaurant with Indian cuisine, Pan Naan to accompany them if we were still hungry.
Unbeatable, and enough so that on our next trip to London we repeat hotel, just to be able to close the nights at this site again.
(Original)

(Translated) Restaurant far from the center and tourists. Indian specialties which are very good and some very spicy! The restaurant looks like a pub but the interior is really warm, when we ate there the fireplace was on, the best! On the other hand, the waitress was not very welcoming.
