Reviews of The Wentworth Arms

Stopped in at the end of a walking tour of the area. Great pint. Excellent background music, and it just felt welcoming. Right next door to the tube station as well. Cheapest pint we had seen in london that day.

Often pop in ere for a glass of wine. Very reasonable at £4.30. Lovely atmosphere and a great old jukebox playing all the classics. My old man is always very impressed with the Guinness! The bar staff are very friendly and join in the banter it’s always nice to see people enjoying their work!
P. s.
Friendly staff and they play bingo Thursday evening - Well worth visiting because of the atmosphere and great laughs

A proper boozer, situated just off the main road in Mile End. Friendly service, great conversations to have or listen into from the locals. Very few pubs like this still exist sadly. If you're nostalgic for a time when pubs were pubs, then this is for you.

Lovely pub. I went here on the day of a West Ham home game and it's very much a West Ham pub so it was busy from opening time. But it wasn't too busy and both the staff and the clientele were lovely, polite and very welcoming. Cream cheese and salt beef bagels on the bar too. As honest as it should be and a 2 minute walk from Mile End station

The Wentworth is the 8th wonder of the East End. A wonderful welcoming pub, with a real community feel. A good selection of drinks, plenty of laughter & bar staff who are on point & eager to please their customers. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit

Stopped in for a quick one before heading out. Owners welcoming and friendly with warm and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely stop by again if ever passing through.

My absolute favourite spot to go to in London for a drink. Always make it a priority visit when visiting. The bar staff are so welcoming and always up for a laugh. The drinks are real cheap and the jukebox is always playing classics. A hidden gem tucked in behind Mile End station.

I often drink in this pub. Everyone is always made to feel welcome here and with a lot of regulars you can tell it’s a place you’ll never only visit once ;-) With continuous effort made to entertain the whole community..bingo nights, karaoke, singers etc. Young or old, you’re guaranteed a good night in the Wentworth Arms!!
F. D.
Absolutely brilliant pub! Atmosphere is always great with friendly and welcoming staff and regulars, a real great community with all involved in the craic. Always a priority when visiting to get in to this true Londoners pub. Great location right by the Mike end tube station as well. Great craic guaranteed. A must when in London!

I had an amazing afternoon in The Wentworth Arms today! Such a friendly atmosphere with welcoming bar staff and attentive managers. They should be extremely proud of themselves as they have kept this East End pub traditional whilst simultaneously catering for a new range of clientele. I had such a laugh singing along to Chas & Dave while enjoying a nice Gin and Tonic! I can't wait to come to the karaoke on the 31st!
A. O.
I had a lovely time on Saturday night at the karaoke! We were made feel extremely welcome and my brother even got up to sing! We will definitely be back for the next karaoke and hopefully the bingo session on a Thursday!
J. D.
Only came in for one pint but ended up staying for 6! Lively atmosphere with a great jukebox! Can't wait to come back in the New Year! Happy Christmas folks

Great little pub packed with character and down to earth people! Had a great laugh with the locals and some other friends I had not seen in a long time, The bar staff were also quick and efficient. They didn't sell food but the managers brought down some complimentary bar snacks in the evening, which was a nice touch!
M. H.
Lovely pub, staff always welcome you with warm smiles and the people that go in there are all friendly too it holds great events for the whole community to get together for the young and the old well worth a visit

Popped in to this pub on a shopping trip, a really welcoming pub these pub's are a dying breed but the Wentworth Arms is like the old TV programme Cheers when you walk in knowing no one and by the end of the evening everyone knows your name, putting on your best tunes on the jukebox such a great atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely locals will be returning soon x

Proper London pub. Loved it in here... £3.80 for a pint of ale with a great selection. Stumbled on it by mistake and thought from the outside it finally looked like we had found a proper london pub as said! Locals inside were wonderful and welcoming. Barman was as sweet as anything and made us feel most welcome.
D. R.

Great little boozer, old school
T. W.
Great old fashioned character filled pub! Remember those days when you used to walk into a pub and it would be full of characters? Well this the place to go! Beers are good but the Guinness is worth the visit alone!
A.
Not the place to go if you're in the mood for craft beer nor to impress a date. However, if you're looking for a proper East End watering hole, this is it. Its a cozy corner pub with a lot of character. You'll find friendly staff, good'ol boys, live sports on the screens, and a nice standard selection of ales, lagers, and ciders. Honestly, this is the place to visit when what you need is a pint and local camaraderie.
T. S.
An excellent back street boozer, nice people and very friend staff. Don't expect airs and graces this is about good honest people living ordinary lives, refreshingly authentic compared to the majority of the gentrified East End.
M. C.
Great place to grab a beer after work. The crowd is pretty old so if you like a nice quiet place to go for a pint, this place is it.
J. H.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to yourselves for allowing us (The muslim family from earlier on) or more like our little daughter to use the toilet in the premises even though we weren't customers. Especially to the those two superb blokes for being so nice and even standing outside the loo incase. Lol what was funny though while I was waiting outside with the baby another muslim sister comes up to me and goes "sister please move they will start on you" and I responded with a laugh please sister they have been so nice to us as our daughter despo needed the bog
G. I.
Enjoyed a pint in this East end pube
A. E.
Feels like a real east end pub: full of locals, no students, no hipsters, no craft beers. Pints of mild and salted peanuts, with nice bar staff too.
L. S.
