Reviews of The Wibbas Down Inn

Traditional and Large Breakfasts plus coffees £11.28 all nicely done! 😋 We had the breakfast muffin another day. Good service apart from one hiccup. The muffins come with free tea of coffee but the lady didn't fetch the cups. When I asked, she was already serving another man and said that I hadn't asked for coffee which I thought I had. (Possibly didn't hear me as I was wearing a mask out of respect for the staff) She apologized to the man while saying "you didn't ask" to me. Asking the man if this was true the guy said " no he didn't ask"! She apologizes to the man a second time and fetches my cups! The man meanwhile was being served by another member of staff. On returning with my cups, she apologized to the man a third time! In fact, he'd been served quicker than me. I'd been quiet and polite the whole time so was taken aback by it. That would have been all but on recounting the story to my wife she went off to complain to the manager who apologized to me and refunded the cost of our breakfast, which was good of her. Apparently the lady offered to come and apologize too.
We are loyal customers of Spoons all around the country and appreciate their hard work, good value and product. You get the odd blip every now and then so it won't stop us continuing to recommend the company.

I went to lunch and ordered a fish and chips and my husband a mixed grill. both delicious. pleasant environment, calm and very clean. Helpful and smiling waiters/waitresses. I was very happy with the time spent in the pub. parking is expensive and if I can recommend: go by bus, the bus stop is in front. super recommend. have crayons to entertain the kids.

The gentleman on shift today, (1200hrs - 21/03/22) although very well presented, should have extra lessons in "handling real ale" he pulled the pump so hard and fast, he frothed up my pint, so much so, he had to pour some off into another glass, then top mine back off with what was in the glass... Leaving it bland and lifeless ... Clearly no clue ... Back to "real ale handling school for you" ... The first time in a very long time, I've not enjoyed my pint at a Wetherspoons ..
THIS IS NOT A REAL ALE PUB!!
J. J. S.
Massive pub, almost as it two pubs on different sides of the block decided to knock through. Therefore always seating available, great for a massive variety of drinks, including guest ales (as you now expect from a 'Spoons) and friendly staff always willing to be helpful. Great for a post-work pint before the commute home or for a cheap lunch time dine-in meal.
D. H.
Don't get me wrong here, it's a lovely pub. But when I visited it, it was quite busy there.
But unfortunately when I tried to order food via their app. There was almost nothing left, the only thing I could get was a curry, otherwise it would've been good.
I don't live in Wimbledon, but despite the issue with the food, I still enjoyed the visit.
N. N.
Conversing and bantering with long lost friends was fantastic at the Wibbas Down Inn. The only thing that could've been improved was the time from ordering the drinks to delivering them to the table. Other then that, the staff couldn't have been kinder and happier with anything and everything, the bar was kept in tip top shape all through the night, and even fellow customers at the pub couldn't have been more courteous and caring when I looked like I had a bit too many. All in all, I give it a solid 9.7 out of 10!!
D. G.
Very large Weatherspoons in Wimbledon centre. We went for a breakfast at the weekend and it was fairly quiet. The service was swift and the staff were police.
M. M.
Absolutely amazing it’s our favorite pup to drink and eat at. There pitchers are well worth the money, everything on there menu is!!!!
M. H.
Always get a seat always busy but service good especially using the app
A. E.
Massive spoons in Wimbledon. Wheelchair friendly and easily accessible. Standard spoons. Good staff cheap food and drinks and a good atmosphere. Always busy though so of you NEED a table I wouldn't run the risk on a Friday night. It's a huge pub though we'll connected with good parking if you don't mind parking a few streets away.
A. &. R.
Went here for the first time and the atmosphere was amazing, we managed to get seating pretty quick.
Food came within 15 minutes and was good quality for the price we pay.
T. V. B.
Awesome friendly service. Great place to drink, very clean. Staff were friendly to.
K. F.
Large restaurant. It being a Weatherspoons very reasonable prices for very decent food. Refillable tea and coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. Honestly you can't go wrong. (Not too much changed now it's open after lockdown. Socially distanced tables with screens and socially distanced queuing. Urged by establishment to download app and order from table. But I didn't as still allowed to go and order food at till!)
B. W.
Very nice Wetherspoons pub. It's very roomy with plenty of seating. It can get quite busy in the evenings and on weekends, as it's a popular local hangout, but it's usually empty-ish for weekday breakfast and lunches.
Usual Wetherspoons fare, reliable mid-level quality food for low prices. Friendly staff and good selection, they've added quite a few vegetarian and vegan options to the menu as well.
S. C.
Cheap and good beer. No need to pay stupid prices. Busy as well and good service.
w. b.
Met family here while on a visit to Wimbledon. Very busy over the weekend but was able to get a table eventually. Plenty variety of drinks and food available all day with many deals on cheap beer , easy to see why ita so busy. Go on give it a try for yourself.
E. D.
OH this is the place to be,the food and the staff and the Manager is absolutely fabulous. The food is so so Cheap!!!!!My hangouts is normally Megan's or the Ivy....but boy oh boy....do they gets beaten hands down.Wibbas on a Sunday £3.99 for a big plate of fish and chips delicious....I mean they are going back to the 60's isn't???Well I have enjoyed myself thoroughly....the staff is top class and the manager. You hardly sit down and your food has arrive....how grand is that.Well done to WIBBAS...they are top class and outstanding.💯💥
T. M.
I have a disability and had trouble finding the toilet this lovely waitress call Che came to my resue. She was so kind and helpfull through out my time there, checking I was OK and if I needed anything even though they were super busy..
This young lady is a glem and I hope her mangers can also see that. Little acts of kindness mean the most
W. W.
An older style wetherspoons set just back from the busy heart of wimbledon town centre and Broadway, perfect for a pint, steak / pie and chips without the London price-tag.
At time of last visit (October 2021), a new 'order online' option was available, allowing customers to choose and pay for all food and drinks from their phone (no app download required).... handy! :)
P. D.
A spacious and enjoyable pub in main town Wimbledon. Well run, and great value. Busy in the evening. Smack oppersite the theatre, and short walk from the station. It's a Wetherspoons pub, so expect all the usual fayre, don't expect high end drinking and eating, but then your not paying high end prices.
Comfortable enough!
S. R.
Quite a good pub and clientele also. Surrounded by many restaurants. Unfortunately the rudest barmaid ruined our experience with terrible attitude and customer service skills.
R. Q.
Good prices. Friendly staff. No music playing. TVs on with sub-titles for those watching sport.
L. F.
Enjoyed our first time here in this pub....also great atmosphere
C. R.
Just good food and beer at great prices.
And the staff are great and very helpful. We'll done.
B. R.
Dont know where it was but came home with Covid. But staff were lovely, food was great. Thanks.
S. D.
Popped here at 5pm on a Saturday for a quick drink before dinner. Not much of a queue at the bar - nice. Very busy but plenty of tables means we weren't waiting long for a seat. This Wetherspoons is pretty large as they go and nicely lit, with two large bars and two entry points, which I like as it means there's easy escape routes.
V. W. (.
Always had a good time in the Wetherspoons, could do with an uplift. But apart from that, always have a few drinks with mates.
C. S.
Lovely meal, food always good and reasonably priced
B. F.
It's a Weatherspoons pub so don't expect 5 star service, but you will get 5 star prices. Cheap booze and food.
J. H.
First visit today, went for the vegetarian breakfast and it was good quick service aswell!!
Friendly staff and toilets were clean, overall was really good for a wetherspoons
A. L. G.
There was such a lovely gorgeous with blonde short hair and with a kind of leg brace...she was so nice during her service on the till...definitely she deserve some rewards
M. D.
A top-drawer Wetherspoons, on a side street away from the main drag in Wimbledon - great selection of beers, super cheap (£1.99 a pint) and nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was decent and again very reasonable.
L. K.
Excellent food very friendly loved it will go again
R. B.
Cheap beer good food great meeting up with old friends, good night had by all.
M. H.
Well priced beer in an uncrowded town pub for a weekday lunchtime. Courteous staff, clean pub, locals reasonably sober. What is there not to like about a well run Wetherspoon's?
M. B.
Nice little spoons pub. Long bar with a larger selection of Real Ale. A good number of them are £1.99. Probably one of the largest selection of Real ale outside of a festival I've seen in a while.
a. K.
Very nice pub. Good food, good staffs, and clean environment
A. B.
Lovely excellent customer service
Staff always very active and have smile on their faces which reflects on management that the staff is well looked after inspite of the fact that working in a pub is very very tough job so it's all good for the company.
Value for money for food, Bevrages but can't put value for staff as its EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
S. G.
Nice atmosphere snd not too busy for a eek day. Quick service
A. G.
Good pub in downtown Wimbledon, almost everyone goes to the Wibbas no matter the age. Very affordable beers and good food ... I really recommend it to share a couple of pints with friends ... cheers !!!
D. D.
Nice atmosphere and five bean chilli jacket potatoe but company a total wash out x
G. B.
Great place to go to meet up with friends polite staff.
B. B.
Great prices, busy but big place so all ok.
M. C.
It was clean & the staff were friendly.
The food was cooked perfectly & was delicious.
S. K.
I want to be British because of this pub. Cheap, fresh beer and food are always exciting to me. Tim, You are truly my prime minister. Thank you for making good memories in the UK.
H. C.
Great for breakfast and refill hot drinks .Also good meals all reasonable prices
J. S.
Perfection comes as standard perfect service
Delicious food awesome staff great atmosphere defo a must place to go
L. D.
A very really good pub with great customer service
P. K.
Oscar duty manager really helpful. Lovely staff, good food.
b. l.
Great pub ,spacious. Good food good beer and friendly helpful staff
V. H.
Easy to get served. One bar shut which was a bit of a problem for some less able customers
S. M.
Good choice of real ales on when I visited. Usual excellent price for both food and drink compared to other pubs in the area. Really quick service when ordering via the app.
S. J.
Service slow for food and drinks, toilets weren't very clean/good. All sinks unusable. the tables weren't wiped between each set of customer, in fact the whole place felt like it could do with a good steam clean. Food, not very good at all.
D. H.
It is what it is, a Wetherspoons pub. However as far as this one goes the food is good and, more so, its only one of two Wetherspoons pubs that I know which is clean. The other is at New Malden. Well, saying clean, use the toilets at the back of the pub because the toilets at the front get the usual urine on the floor but no pub can ever be as bad as the Wetherspoons at Tooting Broadway, to say that one is GROSS would be paying it a compliment ! Keep the Wimbledon and New Malden ones, get rid of the rest !
P. G.
Vast space even for a Wetherspoon. Clean, tables Covid-safer partitioned, food good and excellent value, draught beer in tip top condition. Lunchtime service good.
P. L.
Wetherspoons always worth a visit...... Nice ambience, cheap beer👍
a.
Ordered through the app, but I must say the service was incredibly fast. Never had a lul waiting on drinks 😂
A. M.
Unfashionable, no-frills pub chain.
If you’re looking for somewhere to park yourself for a few hours and slowly transform yourself into an alcoholic mess, on a budget, you could do a lot worse.
A. A. A.
Great attention and service as all Wetherspoon pubs
B. R.
Extremely busy. Service not great but good value for money..
V. P.
Nice food. Lovely staff. Clean place
P. R.
A good girl served me frequently.
It would be nice if some of the other staff would acknowledge ones existence.
I sat near the bar by the kitchen door around 1500 hours on 20/06/21.
R. P.
Ok...busy but staff not so friendly or welcoming.
P. C.
Good Lagers,Children welcomed up to a certain time, food reasonable and staff behind bar don't hang about.
G.
Good pub. Its a Wetherspoon. Good for a few drinks, while her indoors does the shopping. Outside drinking, but the app doesn't recognize table 99. So you put in table 98.
M. M.
Really big Witherspoon's with 2 entrances! One road side and other theatre side.
J. K.
Can get a bit lively at the weekends in the eves dont take the kids there 😉
D. N.
Enormous Spoons in the centre of Wimbledon. Usual food and drink menu. Lots of TV's about the place. Small outside smoking area.
M. T.
Decent place to eat & drink with a wide selection of beers.
J. L.
Very good service for bar & meals, steak meal very nicely cooked & served by friendly staff .
J. M.
Always great food and service
S. W.
Had a great bite to eat and quick drink with my kids on a Sunday lunch time, food was delicious and great portion and quality, reasonable price too, friendly staff and very helpful
D. B.
Amazing size place once inside, great beers,a friendly smile would of been good,
L. C.
Very spacious. Enjoyable experience
s. b.
Fantastic service and excellent food and staff friendly and helpful
A. W.
Fantastic pub. Food good value. Some set meals come with a drink for an extra pound. Lovely atmosphere. Can get very busy which can make it rather a long wait. But does empty out when the theatre opens its doors. As people go here for pre-drinks.
A. D.
Great service at fair prices.
R. G. (.
The atmosphere is very friendly at The Wibbas Down Inn. All of the staff are welcoming and are happy to help wherever possible. I am pleased with the seating arrangements in line with social distancing. A great choice for a night out 👍
J. F. -. B.
Pleasant setting good food ,step free
A. P.
Popped in for a quick drink with some friends, found it okay.
T. B.
Nice to visit my local. Pleasant atmosphere good food at a reasonable price
P. M.
Got to jump through the 2020 hoops, but they have things organised. Tasty breakfast. There was a mixup, and i was served vegetarian sausages, but they quickly rectified it on being informed. We regularly go to spoons, and are seldom disappointed.
K. B.
Great pub, great staff, very enjoyable evening 😀
A. L.
Me amd my friends come to visit this place quiet a lot and i have to say that Jacob is always been fantastic!! Thanks to him he always get very good times in this place
C. P.
I came in and ordered food 40 minutes before the kitchen closed and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Even though I changed a few things on the order. Staff were friendly and helpful even though they were busy. Security staff seemed really nice too and there was a nice atmosphere in the pub.
J. C.
Not been there for a couple of years but saw a difference. More staff and much cleaner
B. S.
Great Whetherspoons with loads of seating and I nice area to sit out the front. It can get busy for weekends and holidays though so make sure to turn up early if you want a good table. Also has two bars so even when busy the wait times aren't bad. Food has always been good.
D. W.
Good ambience. Heavy crowd. Cheap booze. The bad part is that they do not have any bar stools. If you plan to stay there over an hour, you may have to book and reach very early.
A. L.
Typical spoons.good wben quiet poor service when buzy
K. K.
Our table was very dirty..had to wipe with a serviette and empty glasses sat on the table for most of our meal. Mine should have had mushrooms with it..but none on the plate! But overall the food was ok and good Vue for money with a drink included. Handy for eating before going to the theatre. Fast service!
M. W.
Lovely and quiet on a Sunday morning staff were polite and friendly, pub was clean and wetherspoons breakfast is always a good choice. The food was cooked and presented well and the experience was a good one. I would of marked 5 stars apart from a few very minor gripes.
M. B.
The pub is OK but the toilets need to be monitored for cleanliness more regularly. Lots of flies especially near the booths. When using the app to order drinks they are sometimes left at the ''collection point'' for longer than needed before staff take them to the customers.
Tables left far too long unwiped.
A. R.
We ordered from the app as it was so busy. I also appreciate that it was busy so didn't expect speedy delivery of food but definitely thought our drinks should have come sooner than 25 mins. I had to ask and the waitress seemed concerned so it probably wasn't a normal occurrence. When I was asking I saw that they were at the end of the bar and when we got them I could tell they'd been there for a while as they were almost room temp. We received our food shortly after and it was ok but not great. You could barely tell there was bacon wrapped around the mini sausage and the chicken in the burger was overcooked so, very dry. The pizza with extra pepperoni was undercooked and there was hardly one pepperoni per slice. We've eaten there before and it was good but no so much today.
p. s.
Good place for lunch but the seating can be taken up fast. Plenty of double tables if you want to sit by a restroom. Tables are good but some are too close leaving little room to maneuver. Service is ok however meals are very inconsistent and numerous items won't make it to the table unless you insist. Whether by incompetence of the servers or cheeky money saving I'm not sure.
E. C.
Great spoon located in Wimbledon, the place is clean and the food is always fresh.
Staff and bartenders are brilliant and willing to help and always looking for improvements. The place is getting quit busy in the evenings but is big enough to fit good amount of people.
K. G.
It was good and service was not bad ok
T. P. F.
Great place, is quiet big so doesn't feel overcrowded, the price and the service is good.
J. J.
Excellent staff. Covid safe venue
S. W.

Great "spoons" in the middle of Wimbledon
M. O.
Table service with a smile. Saves the knees for matters more serious.
P. S.
Excellent pub for a visit to the Wimbledon theatre
H. B.
Good menu and the food was excellent.
P. N.
Service was awful. My mother is a vegetarian and my father ordered the Mediterranean vegetarian lasagna. My mother took one bite and was mortified that it was beef. Immediately we told staff and their reply was "well that was what was written on the ticket" my mother then canceled the order with the help of a waitress who was very polite and apologized. The manager never apologized once. My mother could have been allergic to meat. As I was the only person left after she went to the toilet, a bowl ofchips arrived at our table but it was from her canceled order. When she returned she gave them to a waiter and said-
"Sorry excuse me I canceled this with my order"
The waiter then replayed
" Well what am I suppose to do about it?"
He had a very nasty attitude towards my mother. With a sarcastic goodbye we left,
Never again.
G. H.
A fairly busy wetherspoons pub, with an unusual 'Z' shape layout. The pub has two bars, and not all drinks are available at the smaller one. Overall a fairly good pub of you fancy a few drinks and a quick bite to eat with friends.
g.
Best spoons ever.
Its huge so youre bound to find a seat 90% of the time. Always come here with collegues after work or even just to meet up when theres no where else to go.
Theres an abundance of dishes, at a cheap price and good deals too.
Also a whole load of drinks.
Highly recommend this place.
S. E.
Generally a decent pub but I've just been served with the worst fish and chips ever. The fish was encrusted in far too much batter. The amount of extra batter I had to break off was as big as the fish! My 2nd time with this meal here. 1st was bad, 2nd was worse. Generally Wetherspoons pubs do good fish and chips but not this one. They do a good steak at the Wibbas but I'll never eat fish & chips there again.
A. U.
I love this pub, it's huge with very fast service and most important cheap beer and inexpensive but tasty food. I live on the other side of London but always happy to visit Wibbas Down Inn when in the area. Thanks guys for great experience as always!
R. L.
Good spacious pub, good food variety. Good and lively place to go for food and drinks for all ages of people and crowds. Nearest parking is Morrison's. Sometimes the food like samosas and onion bhajis papadoms etc are undercooked.
P. P.
Quick service. A big wetherspoons. You get what it says on the tin
J. C.
I use this place as a catch up venue with friends, we generally come on a Friday lunchtime. The service is always prompt and friendly, prices are incredibly reasonable and the food is good. I only dropped one star because I find the decor a bit dark and old fashioned but that's irrelevant to the quality of everything else.
T. P. F.
Great place, is quiet big so doesn't feel overcrowded, the price and the service is good.
R. G.
Often quite full up, therefore not great for big groups, but perfect for a small number of people to relax with a great selection of food.
C. M.
Service very slow hap hazard wrong beer in the tap over officious door staff who did not know about the disabilities act or have any diplomacy.
1 what i would call very well trained polite very efficient bar maid which saved the evening.
Prices very reasonable but as i say a mix up in the cellar which was fobbed off
N. M.
Nice pub that follows the perfect Wheterspoon style. Interesting beers and food in the average quality. Lot of discounts if you ordet food plus either beer or not alcoholic drink. The discount is usually 2 to 3 pounds.
S. E.
Yh good pub . Where most young people go in Wimbledon. Cheap pints. Could do with a tv . Even a disco area . But it is like a normal spoons . Quite big
N. M.
It's a wetherspoons!!! Must I say more?? Great app for ordering, great prices for food and alcohol. Relatively good ambience. Good range of beers. Decently sized portions.
K. Y. S.
I love this place. It has a homely feel to it. You can't fault the food in any Wetherspoons anyway, but it can do with a little bit more staff to man the place knowing how many customers they see to daily.
K. J.
My colleagues and I came to The Wibbas Down Inn for our Christmas work drinks (I for the first time) and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was much larger than I had anticipated but was warm and had a great atmosphere. The bar staff were totally on point with the service. They were fluid with the service; its like they were in sync with everything. My drinks (rum punch pitchers) were well balanced (alcohol, mixer and ice ratio); and were really great with the orders and kept their cool when we asked for less of ice. Great hot and tasty food was flowing through from the kitchen with ease, arriving in perfect time at my table hot. I ordered the 10 wings with dips and the prawns with sweet chilli sauce. Those sexy wings were hot and crunchy and spicy with flavour and my colleagues and I devoured everything. I am impressed with the order to table time considering it were busy! The prawns with the sweet chilli sauce were delish and that 3 dishes offer for £10 is brilliant. We ordered the wings and prawns dishes I think 3 or 4 times, totally worth it. It was just what we needed!! The table staff were attentive. My table was cleared with a smile and speed.
Shout out to Daija the lovely bartender and Harry the waiter. Brilliant service with a smile. I'll be back. Thanks to the security guards for being great this evening. I felt I received great customer service from everyone's at this establishment.
One of the best Wetherspoons I've been to this year!
Keep up the good work. You work hard and what you do is valued and remembered by your patrons. 😁
People like me truly appreciate it.
😊😊😊
L. B.
Excellent Service Friendly barstaff really nice.
M.
A huge place by any standard. Looking for friends can be bit time consuming. The decor is dated but not shabby. The music is not too loud, one can have a decent conversation without having to shout all the time.
C. H.
This is your typical Weatherspoons pub. I can say that I am impressed with the large layout spread of this pub, the fact that there are two bars to order from inside, indicates how much free space and seating there is here.
The staff are friendly, and everything is cheap. You can get great deals on lunchtime specials, which makes this a great choice if organising a work lunch as its great for groups!
There tends to be a generally older crowd here, so keep the noise down if they're reading their newspapers!
C. H.
Wibbas Down is on the up. Great place for a Sunday roast, including a drink. Lamb shank a must, or fish and chips. Peaceful on Sunday, unlike Saturday! Parking in municipal car park is dire so try Centre Court and catch up with essential shopping.
B. F. T.
Good food and beer.
T. R.
Place is filthy. Food is as bad and cheap as the carpet and I'm pretty sure we bought a homeless man drinks all day once. Which makes it the perfect choice for my friends and I to have our annual Xmas dinner/party.
W. H.
I agree on the queuing system at this Spoons. Sometimes the staff treat you like you're invisible. But sometimes the clientele can be rude, you can be standing waiting at the bar for half an hour, somebody will come up and get served straight away, without saying 'He was first ' it's not survival of the fittest it's common courtesy.
O. A.
First pub in the area to reopen properly after lockdown, so they deserve credit.
Had a good drink there, fun atmosphere, happy folks.
A. D.
This pub offers excellent value for food and drinks. Expect a very good service and excellent interaction with members of staff, which deliver orders efficiently. The place gets quite full on Fridays and it is an excellent choice if you are looking to go out on the surrounding pubs. Good food, good service, excellent value, highly recommended.
J. S.
Busy, but for a spoons it's less old regulars and more youthfull. The pints were freshish and the staff were plentiful. Only downside is that the size of the pub makes it feel impersonal.

Lots of seating and a good solid pub atmosphere. Staff members who are, for the most part, genuinely trying to give good service despite being short handed constantly, as most Wetherspoons pubs are. In fact there are a couple of staff members here who are some of the best I've seen in a Wetherspoons.
Food is the standard Wetherspoons menu at pretty standard, inconsistent quality (I mainly go for breakfast). It's been better in the last few months, so kudos to the management and staff. As always, the prices are hard to beat.
M. E.
If you like pubs were you can talk and listen to your company, this is your pub. It has a very well stocked bar, great food, and pleasant staff. All this at reasonable prices.
D. T.
My favourite Wetherspoons! Always good service, non rowdy clientele, a pleasure to visit, every time! And today Tim Martin came in. He's definitely got his business model right! I hope many follow his shining example of how a British business can flourish when run properly! 5 stars!
C. B.
As with a lot of Weatherspoons, it's a really nice location, very nice decor and excellent value. However the cheap cost means it attracts a certain crowd especially on a Friday and Saturday night. Outside of this it's a nice place for a beer or breakfast
S. L.
Well, I find the Wimbledon Weatherspoons to be the best one I've been to in London. The prices are awesome, the food is better than in other places. And the scores of guests in the weekend are proof that I'm not the it one who enjoys a reasonably priced pint.
J. C.
Good food. Pleasant service.
M. A.
Wetherspoons is trying its hardest to get people back in their pubs. Cheap but satisfying food good beers on tap as well as craft beers. The Wibbas Down Inn is big with lots of seating. Serving a mixed crowd, nice staff and helpful to boot.
r. b.
A very spacious pub, with excellent beers and friendly staff.
C. C.
Typical Wetherspoons, except this one is very big with not enough bar staff. Reasonably priced average pub grub. It tends to be a bit sticky and grubby as the tables never seem to be cleared or wiped down.
T. K.
Brilliant selection of well conditioned ales and craft beers. Very cost effective meal prices. One of the biggest bars I've ever seen. Helpful friendly staff.
D. A.
A public house that's ideal for A. Chat with friends or family As no loud music here. Prices are low and can be busy at times food served good location enjoy your time at this place
C. A.
Good meeting place for parents. Tea , coffee, hot chocolate available here as well as a full bar selection of alcoholic beverages. I've heard the breakfasts are good.
Z. J.
What it lacks in class, it makes up for in prices and popularity. Nice spot for a drink in Wimbledon and the food tends to be quite acceptable.
As wetherspoons go, definitely one of the bigger and more interesting ones to visit (if not for the people).
J. S.
Went for Saturday afternoon lunch with family, decent kids menu and prices for drinks as you would expect from a weatherspoons. Under £30 for a meals and drinks, can't complain
A. K.
One of the better 'Spoons this side of the river. Very busy on weekends and a decent crowd on Monday nights for Monday Club! Avoid taking the food seriously, it's a Wetherspoons after all.
N. P.
As good as a Spoon can get, great selection of craft beer.
Only negative note: athough the place is massive, it can get really crowded (for obvious reasons)
D. F.
Great place. Good staff.
S. W.
Good organised cornavirus measures. The food always hot and fresh. One of the better spoons out there.
H. S.
Massive seating arrangements for All.
Two bars that helps with service.
Location in a perfect place in Wimbledon.
Good helpful service.
Overall a very good Wetherspoons.
Highly recommended.
M. R. H.
Used this "Spoons" on several occasions. I have eaten there twice.
As a Boozer I love it. However, when eating there on two occasions, and ordering the same dish twice. I have 50 50 opinion.
My 1st steak was perfection. And based on that I ordered the same again, only to be bitterly disappointed. Not by the cooking of the steak, but the quality.
Perhaps a supplier change?
What annoyed me more, was the limp wristed apology from the person who is prgogammed to ask, "Is all good with your meal?"
All said, I'd use this "Spoons" over the one opposite Tooting Bradway tube station. I'd not let my dog use the loo ( gent ) there.
The selected star rating is AS A BOOZER not as a restaurant. But I had to pick one option.
I will eat there at least once more.
a. j.
Food is good. Exactly as menu. Occasional rowdy customer nearby but it is a pub.
Value for money? 4 main meals and a bottle of house white was £40 not bad at all.
a. w.
Thanks to the alert Young barman who asked our table the provenance of a bag left unattended on a nearby table, it was left by a customer queuing but good appreciation of a possible threat, cheers and thanks.
M. R.
Very nice wetherspoons in the heart of Wimbledon
g. m.
Ordered four adult meals and one child's meal,on looking for the child's ice cream it took six different members of staff to track it down after asking six different members of staff all looked as they didn't give a monkey's. Disappointed with the members of thicko staff.
J. H.
The Wibbas, The Wibbas, The Wibbas. This is a classic Wetherspoons pub. Cheap ale, cheap grub, a few nutters by the fruities but thats how you know you've arrived.
Its a rather large place and is very busy Friday and Saturday. Really good for a sunday sesh too, which is positively encouraged!
M. L.
Good food and nice atmosphere
C. P.
Friendly staff let down a little by customers totally ignoring social distancing when there was plenty of room to do so. Can't blame the pub for this.
K. M.
Beer always good, expect to wait. They've channeled into streaming orders getting there. I just like old fashioned way going to bar paying cash spilling drinks whilst finding table.
S. P.
The security staff asked me to keep my tesco food shopping in a corner as he assumed that I brought it to eat in the pub . Hahaha god knows what was his problem ...I told him still he insisted to leav inside the sideboard ther was no token given when asked other wise nice place ti have drink and nice offers of drinks and burgers prices are low food service is quick
H. K.
A fairly standard weather spoons with a nice amount of space for groups. The atmosphere is good on a saturday and the selection of ales and ciders is normally good.
W. J.
Fantastic spoons, even better now that you can order at the bar..!!!!
H.
Super low prices considering its in Wimbledon. It's a weatherspoons, so you know what to expect. Nothing fancy, but it's a great place to meet friends and have a pint (there is no music, which is a plus)
L. I.
Fantastic value for money, good food and a great variety of beer on tap. Friendly staff and good service.
M. W.
Beers are cheap, curries are ok. Service.. sorry, did I say service? None. Usually crowded and very loud. Ok for a quick cheap pint or two.
p. G. o. m. g. o.
Cheap and though very busy mid week we were able to get a seat for 6 on arrival. Nice enough atmosphere.
J. T.
great selection of drinks, excellent service, need to bring back the Christmas 3 course dinners xx but the food we had was delicious x
V. T.
Brilliant place. Lively surroundings. Staff efficient & helpful. Menu fits the season's and delicious service brilliant. Plus very convenient for Wimbldon Theater
S.
Always busy so service can be slow. Food fairly basic but cheap and cheerful. Tables often feel a bit grimy!
D. W.
Wonderful value and great atmosphere. Love it
D. Y.
Beautiful place very big and the staff is very helpful about the drink they don't have some famous drink
K. F.
Had a lovely day, food was great and staff excellent
P. p. M.
Nice place to have a drink met many celebrities here
E. P.
The busiest Whetherspoons I've ever been to, and not with the kind of people you want to be surrounded by either. But as with all Whetherspoons, the beer is cheap, cheap, cheap! And that is what gets us back there. It's also much better since they got rid of the horrendous doormen that bullied you out at closing time!
N. L.
Always the place to meet up with family or friends in Wimbledon, if you want fancy and are prepared to get ripped off then go somewhere else. If you want a comfortable and thoroughly value for money place to meet then this is it.
D. T.
A little cramped but even the cheaper seats were great... no problem seeing the stage and had a great time.
Food and drinks are a little too pricy but that's showbusines!!!
C. L.
Friendly staff, big pub with lots of tables, food was good, shame no football or music or this place would be untouchable in Wimbledon, still nice family pub tho if u just want family time
O. T.
This is a very large pub on Wimbledon High Street. It has a large entrance near the bus station and another smaller one next to the Wimbledon Theatre. There are two bars. The bar nearest the theatre is quite small and personal; the one near the bus station is like a huge West End pub.
There is a set of toilets for each bar. The staff are always smart, sensible and as helpful as they can be.
The whole pub has a huge counter space, and this lets them sell a big selection of beers and real ales. If you don't like the real ales in one of the bars, try the other one.
There is free and reliable wi-fi throughout.
Both bars can become very busy, especially at intermission time at the theatre. But service is normally fast at all times. It is only slowed up by those interminable coffee orders. Food is standard, but it seems to be despatched from the kitchen rapidly even at the busiest times.
Its clientèle is varied. During Wimbledon Fortnight it can become packed with stunning bright young tennis fans from all over Europe. Worth seeing!
There are lots of good pubs all over Wimbledon but I prefer this pub owing to its large selection of well-kept real ales.
B. C.
Classic spoons - cheap and not terrible food, unlimited coffee refills, daytime drinkers. Clean toilets and surprisingly well lit, plus free WiFi. Win!
A. S.
Large Wetherspoons pub with three bars. Can get quite busy so service can be slow. Good range of beers and reasonably priced.
D. C.
It was extremely busy, well understaffed if people decided to use neighborhood tables to stack up glasses. Food order took over an hour. It was good but very slow.
A. H.
Standard Wetherspoon pub. Clean and tidy, decent staff and service. As usual a good selection of ales and "guest"ales and lager galore. Can't fault it!
M. P.
Very busy Weatherspoons Pub. Staff friendly but overworked. I had a vegetarian curry and the side dishes were so dry as to be uneditable. The other people in the group also found there side dishes dry too .
i. g.
it's a true local with many beers on tap and bottles. good warm athmosphere. inexpensive. good simple food.
D. H.
Deceptively large Weatherspoons opposite New Wimbledon Theatre. You know what to expect from Weatherspoons - a wide range of beers that are well kept and presented, as well as reasonably priceerspoons Pub has two bars and some interesting facts about the area.
K. C.
Does what is says on the tin nice clean pub with food nothing special but have been to many a place thats worse
S. K.
Fresh food such great sirloin steak and peppercorn sauce...my partner had the ultimate burger and it looked and according to him was delicious..wish I had taken photos now!
A. C.
That's a Wetherspoon, and probably the biggest pub in Wimbledon. It is huge, quite dark, and can be crowded on busy evenings. Comfort is OK, I have seen better in some Wetherspoon and Nicholsons though. On the plus side, the beer selection is almost always excellent, and the prices of both food and drinks are really a bargain. Steaks and grilled meats are good, as well as burgers. Currys are not as good but are OK still. The staff is nice but often a bit weary, maybe there are management or staffing issues there.
If you want a quieter evening, the area around the smaller bar near the Russel road entrance is usually less crowded.
S. K.
Only visited in the morning so wasn't too busy and was pretty safe, clean and friendly atmosphere. Not sure I would go in the evening at the moment...
L. G.
Nice place. Big location so doesnt feel as crowded as other wetherspoons. Food nice and quick service as usual
K. G.
It was good and service was not bad ok
D. B.
I enjoyed this space. Good service and tasty vegan burger. Great prices, of course. I'd happily return.
G. B.
Great beer prices considering the current situation. Well geared up to be COVID safe. Thanks Wetherspoon's
-. R.
Always a clean, big and nice place to go and enjoy early breakfast alone or in family. Lovely staff, good food, excellent prices.
J. A.
Good food
P. M.
Food, particularly steak is excellent, drinks are good and prices typical of Weatherspoons, however this pub is opposite Wimbledon Theatre, which has large attendance nearly every night, yet for ages Weatherspoons does not have enough staff when needed.About 10 months ago,we were going to a show, I waited 20 minutes to be served s drink and still didn't get one.I asked to see the manager, who came promptly, ended up refunding money for meal,£20 roughly, but we had to rush it.Wetherspoons , time you got your act together, your losing a fortune in trade
3 stars could have been a 4 or 5. I have been here again since original entry, pleased to say no long waits,Wibbass down you can have 5 stars
D. J.
One of the best wetheespoons establishments in south London. Open late and good atmosphere. Food is always hot and most staff are happy and give a good service.
O. K.
Nice generic Wetherspoon. Then staff is polite
A. E.
Cheap food, cheap look, nothing special. But if you on a budget it's a great option.
A. V.
I had the steak and it was delicious, perfectly cooked and the chips were great too. Staff friendly and very efficient. Twickenham real ale excellent
A. H.
A Wetherspoon flagship pub. Very large, good food and staff. Close to Wimbledon station. Usually about 15 real ales available.
S. M.
Can get very noisy, great idea the table service ,it's a shame the WiFi is rubbish and a point to remember is that they do not except £50 pound notes.
I. D.
Wetherspoons does what it says on the tin
M. G.
It's a Spoons! Cheap like the budgie - steak was lovely.
🦈
R. D.
It is very dirty even if you go first thing in the morning. Meals are good for the price. Staff are friendly.
D.
Properly packed for the world cup games... great atmosphere... security need to be less handsy before they get themselves laid out though
A. F.
All the facilities one expects from a Wetherspoon but the hot drinks machine is 'halfway to South Wimbledon' if one enters from the Bus Station. A 2nd one would expect most welcome and practical.
P. H.
Excellent beers, great food and friendly atmosphere. What else do you need in a pub.
M. D. S.
One person serving on a busy Sunday afternoon. Was surprised to see loud builders shouting and making it uncomfortable for others to enjoy a coffee with friends.
C. P.
Great place to chill out, not too bad prices on club deal meals, and not too often do customers who come to the bar after me get served before me!
B. M.
Always enjoy coming here.
p. t.
The catering and kitchen staff are realy helpful at the wibbus. The bar staff come and go. There is 2 bars in this realy big pub. Lots of seating in the way of tables, booths and bar stools. Oh. And sofas. Tv screens and a big screen on silent with sub titles. The art of conversation is not lost. Every table and booth seams to be talking or eating or both. Cheapest boozer in wimbledon but a mid price range spoon pub. A gem in wimbledon.
M. L.
Good food, great prices. Service at the bar a bit slow. Wait ages to be served. Staff have no idea who has been waiting longest etc.
J. S.
Decent pub food at very reasonable prices, nothing to fancy but for the prices they charge it's well worth the money.
A. J.
Fish and chips not up to usual standard, very thin piece of fish, edges too thin and hard to eat. Chips tasted very hard. Surely not kept and recooked ?
и. с.
Great food and staff is friendly.
J. O.
There was loads of places to sit down. Only popped in for a coffee but enjoyed my visit! Will have to come back when I'm drinking....
R. O.
Cheap drinks, good atmosphere. Friendly people.
A. B.
I have to admit that the Wetherspoon app, which let's you order drinks from your table, is pretty cool - but then Wetherspoon is owned by the Brexiteer Tim Martin so...
C. S.
Great to meet friends and family for lunch get together spacious and comfortable not been in the night time though .
N. T.
Food was okay, though we could have been given a better tables as we went as a large group. We had fun, that was the idea, nice ping pong tables.
G. B.
Nice selection of beers, convenient for shopping, tidy big bar. The very reasonable prices tends to mean the clientele aren't always top drawer.
M. C.
Enjoyed the festive lunch. Disappointed there were no roasties, just mash, but otherwise tasty and lovely gravy. Good value for money 😊
C. D. M.
A super J.D.Wetherspoon's with two bars, lots of ample space, good prices, and excellent service.
Great guest real ales, and tasty, cheap food.
K.
Great "spoons" in the middle of Wimbledon
J. F.
Massive, easy to social distance here, good fast service and cheap as chips.
F. O.
Classic Lovely large pub, good food reasonable price.cons: dirty tables, massive bathrooms but missing towels and hot water
R. L.
Good service and clean
A. E.
One of the better Wetherspoons. Good atmosphere, food not bad, beer well kept but never enough staff.
J. D. L.
Great service, cheap drinks!
S. C.
Great Wetherspoons in Wimbledon. Love it after our Thai massage or if we are starting off in Wimbledon for the night. Reason great atmosphere and great choice of drinks and gins.
V. D.
Good tap takeover from Titanic brewery however too many noisy students let atmosphere down
A. J.
Spoons is spoons. The food and drink are so reasonably priced it's difficult to be disappointed with it. The wibbas is at the centre of Wimbledon making it the ideal meeting place for any groups.
J. D.
great place... great atmosphere and great place to stop. great value drinks and food menu. can get very busy on the weekends
S. M.
Been to this pub years ago. Nothing has changed. Good old cheap drinks. Large area to have a get together.
L. H.
Just another wetherspoons, good breakfast!
M. B.
Always a great Spoons! Amazing breakfast and fast service. I'd happily come back!
M. F.
The best Wetherspoon pub I ever been..food and beers are great quality and the place is very popular and usually very busy.
L. A.
Does what it says in the tin. Incredible value which cannot be argued with if you want a pint or two in the early morning whilst watching the rugby!
J. C.
Friendly staff, decent place. Large pub with ample seating. Would come back again.
S. O.
Place is humongous. Yes, still impossible to find a seat! The one time I did attend when it was quiet, had a lovely burger!

P. C.
Great pub, fair decor, great selection of beers. Would recommend especially for the excellent prices and friendly staff.
K. W.
Lovely food, decent prices and much bigger than it looks from outside so plenty of seating
H. F.
Pretty typical wetherspoons pub. Two bar areas placed near both entrances so service isn't normally an issue.
P. E.
Wimbledon lager only available on the pumps on the bar furthest from my seat. Nearest bad bit was off and no one changed the barrel.
L. S.
I will miss this place, even tbough weekends are quite crowded, the drinks and food prices are the best probably all over London
R. G.
Staff are great good customer service and very friendly and great food and the drinks are the best.
S. S.
Very good breakfast, great location
J. W.
Very busy not enough staff the young Boy behind the Bar was run ragged also I think there was more children in there then people but I suppose it was half term.
J. S.
Always loved it here
C. T.
Really nice atmosphere to meet up with friends to drink and jaw. Food looks and smells good as well.
H. K.
Very busy but good choice of beers and nice service. Only problem is getting a table...!!
G. F.
Unfortunately bar staff decided to be annoying with the safe distance ruling without understanding the rules themselves.
H. A.
Nice atmosphere and affordable price!
K. S.
Great value breakfast. Cheap strongbow. Friendly staff. Can't go wrong.
Z. g. R. M. 6.
It was okay I.like going in there to meet friends its basic and nothing special the bar staff are okay not really in a mood to talk to the customers so for me was an okay experience
D. R.
Not the cheapest Wetherspoons.
It gets busy.
But it is efficient.
The staff used to be not great, but things have got better lately.
T. R.
Weekends very busy. Adequate food & very reasonably priced. Good choice of Beers & Wines.
K. P.

R. B.
It's a Spoons. Cheap beer which is nicely served. You know what you're getting with the food, but it's nothing special.

D. P.

S. p. s.
Its nice
E. M.
Quick food and drink. Usually very busy. Some staff need better training to ensure smoother service
C. P.
A bit dark and dingy and the bouncers can be quite unfriendly. So.....your typical Wetherspoons. But, it can be good fun especially during Wimbledon fortnight.
H. R.
I enjoy most Wetherspoons pub but this is by far the cleanest especially the loos ..the food always hot pleasant staff
c. e.
keep getting my order wrong last 2 times short on bits of what it says are on the menu so check what you get against the menu other than that the food is very good

Easy accessible for Wimbledon Theatre.
Food great, service great. Current superb.
A. D.
The place has retained its high standards of service and food, and it is a highly advisable pub in Wimbledon.
A. B.
There wasn't enough room in the pelasntly looking inn, maybe the next time I'm in, on a full moon, they could courteously let me within by my imaginary twin
E. H.
It's a standard Wetherspoons. Food is cheap and filling. Can appear to be a little dark as there isn't much natural light, but well lit inside.
L. i. l.
Good price good food good pinte
M. D.
Very good service and food one of the best Wetherspoons I have been to recommended

J. G.
It's ok. Sunday lunch was pretty good plus an international booze selection
W. B.
Nice and friendly place, cheap food and drinks as you would expect.
A. H.
I can't complain when I get a large G&T for £3.99 but find it frustrating that, on the last few times that I've been here, it's so busy that I can't find a seat.
P. C.
