U. C.A convenient 5 minute walk from both Pontoon Dock DLR this modern pub was opened a few days before the original lockdown of March 2020. On leaving we had another 5 minute walk to Royal Wharf river boat station. The pub is very homely and relaxing. Spent a couple of hours there and ordered the Cobble Lane charcuterie for 2, which was a generous board consisting of Coppa, lomo, chorizo, fennel & garlic salami, olives, pickles, focaccia, sourdough bread & extra virgin olive oil. Excellent service and a good pint of pride and will visit again.

Lovely friendly staff and atmosphere clean with good service.
Food is always good and upstairs seating area is beautiful with lovely views of the Thames.

Service is 5 stars, large drink selection and delicious cocktails that could easily compete (and win) with the best cocktail bar in Central London. And food... oh my god, just mind-blowing. Do not hesitate and visit this place.
M. C.Decent place, nice vibe.. service was good the steak was lovely had a charcoal tinge. Initially had the duck and though it was ok for taste the portion size was quite small giving it didn't have many trimmings. Had to get a steak alongside loool .

M. M.It's a nice looking pub overlooking the Thames river. I haven't tried the food but they have a nice selection of beers, however, there's only one beer on the menu under £6. The patio is great but without the heaters you can't really use it on colder days which is a shame. I will change my rating to 4 stars once the heaters are installed :)
S. G.I just had some drinks. But the service was surprisingly good. Helpful and very welcoming. If I lived locally I would definitely go again and explore the menu.
Oh. I forgot to mention the fascinating view of the Thames Barrier.

K. L.I'm a bit confused by this place. I thought it was a pub (Fullers sign outside), but then I saw a table getting table service and lots of the reviews here talk about it being a restaurant.
Besides that confusion. I went for a pint of Gamaray and it cost be over £7! Absolutely extortionate. I'm unlikely to return with this pricing.
A. T.This is a great pub that’s right next to the river. Tayla made me feel welcome and she was really attentive. The special Christmas Old Fashioned was great. Great experience all round!!

w.This is our second 'Pub' based around East London under the Fuller's brand...
When we found out about this place, where it was based and we had to go check it out for ourselves.
Getting here via public transport is easy enough, for buses, you would take the route 474 to either stops Mill Road (Stop R) or Pontoon Dock (Stop S or Stop Q) and walk it here.
For Docklands Light Railway (DLR), just stop at Pontoon Dock and again, just walk it here.
For the river, use the Thames Clippers and stop at Royal Wharf Pier.
The place itself was nice, had a modern look and feel inside and out, seating on the ground and second floor but outside too, caters to all. The view from here was great, a selling point for most.
The food was also nice, has a good enough selection for most palettes.
Only drawback was, i wanted the salmon but it was already sold out by 6 PM and chips by 7 PM but they had sweet potato fries though...i guess they underestimated how many customers they would have that day..?
The staff were friendly, helpful when asked, which is great to see.
One thing to note, i'd advice to book in advance, especially if the weather is nice and you are looking for seating outside.
All in all, it was a nice experience and recommended.

N. F.Nice pub with a nice view of the river. The inside area is very open and comfortable. The staff were amazing and super friendly! The food was nice too. The only thing that I didn't like was that most of the food on the menu was actually not available (I had to change my order maybe 4 times). They told me that it was because it was Sunday afternoon (??) I have never been to a restaurant/pub in London that asked me to change the order that many times. If this was the case, I would rather they told our table which foods were available once they sat us down.
M. J.Great location down on royal wharf, outdoor seating meant we had a lovely view of the river in an area that's really starting to pick up.
Dog friendly, and the staff (and lots of the other guests!) were very nice and accommodating to our little pup.
Vegan roast was delicious, as was the beer special as recommended by the waiter. If I had any nitpick it would be a request for more vegan options (follow the trend, guys, it's 2021!) But other than that really happy with the food and drinks. Not cheap but worth it for the quality and the view.
Service was friendly and attentive, and we had the option to book through the app which was convenient.
Will definitely be coming back!

M. W.Fullers pub on the North side of The Thames. It gets full sun 🌞 in the afternoon. Modern design has two outside covered terraces. Views are stunning. Definitely book a table in advance. Food is top end pub quality and generous. Beers are good but expensive.

First good thing they did due to the weather was book a table outside and inside, which was a nice touch.
Our waiter Norbert was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. We were unsure which wines would be best for us.
He gave great insight to the point whereas we changed our minds from what we was gonna pick to the alternative/better option.
He seemed genuinely interested in our welfare and our experiences.
The food was good but not as good as his service I would both recommend and return with my girl based on that alone.

T. W.I really want to like my new local. It looks lovely, the outside area is especially nice but the service is so slow, the food is fine but really expensive. Even with the government 50% discount, I felt that it was overpriced.
Edit: so I did come back again. We booked a table for 2 outside, unfortunately we had been given a table inside but this was resolved. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and added chips. This meant the side salad was taken off and there was an extra £1.50 charge on the bill. This is totally fine but is not mentioned on the menu and is unclear. The sandwich was really good though and the service was much better than last time so I’m up to 3 stars.

S. I. N.The Windjammer is my local. The hospitality is great everytime we go there. The staff are welcoming and my favourite dish is the caesar salad. The plant burger is also good. The manager Chris goes above and beyond to accommodate us - always extremely polite, professional and has such a pleasant manner about him. You instantly feel comfortable and welcome.

J.Have been to the pub a couple of times now, was lucky to get in just before an untimely lockdown shutdown and have revisited now it's back. Would agree with another comment on here that they've done well to make the experience feel as normal as possible but with clear safety measures. Staff here all seem helpful, friendly and welcoming. Have had no complaints about any of the food, there was a minor issue on my first visit but it was sorted swiftly with such professionalism. Can tell the staff here all care for what they do and their visitors. Great team and pub addition to the area and I look forward to inviting more people along to enjoy it with us.

The food is tasty, great drinks and dessert selections (particularly the buffalo ice cream) and wonderful staff. Our puppy gets spoiled on every visit. Special shout out to Norbert who is our server more often then not - extremely friendly and helpful. We look forward to continuing as lockdown restrictions continue to change and ease.
N. M.I visited the Windjammer on a balmy evening during the recent hot weather with friends. It was busy but we managed to get a table outside. This was my first visit and my first impressions were of a modern, relaxed but almost seaside venue with air conditioning inside and quite a lot of outdoor seating with tables. The Thames runs close by and the Thames barrier is visible.
I ordered the meaty cheeseburger and double fried chips followed by strawberry ice cream. Both were fine. I spent a very pleasant evening here and I also noted customers accompanied by their dogs.

M. S.The place is very nice both inside and outside. The staff is quick, polite and efficient. The food - some of the stuff are amazing, some not that great. My favourite dish is the fish and chips. The prices are quite high for the area in general.

E. C.Went recently as lockdown as lifted. They did a great job of making it feel like a normal pub, while being safe. Not a massive menu, but I assume in normal times it would be more exhaustive. Staff were all absolutely lovely and very understanding. The interior is beautiful, and will definitely visit again!
J. B.We went for Sunday lunch on the first weekend after lockdown. Norbert was our waiter and we had great service. The food came in good time, even the late order of a portion of chips.
The passion fruit martini was excellent. The vegan roast was absolutely delicious and the chicken Caesar salad was good too. The brownie dessert is to die for.
The view of the River Thames is wanderful.

My waiter Norbert was very attentive and recommended several dishes and drinks to try. The Chicken Kiev is to die for and the Quince jelly on the cheeseboard was the best I've ever tasted. D. R.Good food, decent drinks list. Little disappointed on the range of beers for a Fullers pub, hence the missing star. Hopefully this will improve with time. The interior decor is great, and it's in a lovely spot on the edge of Royal Wharf by the river.
S. S.Typical pub fare, a bit pretentious and at circa £25 a head not good value. Compensated to a degree by good attentive staff. Would I go there again? Possibly, but I'm not in a rush to do so. 12.5% service charge is excessive, but I object to service charges anyway, it should be the customers decision to pay service charge or not.

I was there and though that the place could have something to warm up the customers outside, as it is very close to the river, hence, cold and windy.
The service was better than my last time there (between 1st and 2nd lockdown) and the foo too.

N. G.We went to The Windjammer for a Friday Dinner and the ambience is so lovely and it's extra sparkly with the Christmas decorations put up. The food is delicious. We had fish n chips and gnocchi and finished with lip-smacking cherry ripple ice-cream and the sticky-toffee pudding with salted-caramel ice-cream just made the evening!!
Special mention to our server for the evening : Norbert, he made sure we had a great time.

A. P.Hygiene is BRILLIANT! Sanitiser pumps and signage plus one way system made me feel safe, as well as the constant cleaning of door handles etc. The staff were all smiling and energised and also trusted me to nip out to get cash as the card machine wasn't working - love that!
I only had drinks but look forward to returning many times and sampling the food. So glad to have the Windjammer in the neighbourhood!

M. C.Poor management communications led an unfriendly misunderstanding by one of badly behaved staff that looks like a member of the management team. However, overall the beverage variety is great , location is good, the food service is at speed and the remain staff are friendly.
S. M.This pub at the moment functions as a restaurant - the staff are too excited for customers coming in. Approaching them immediately to usher them to a seat, its a pub let people hover while they decide if they wish! Food prices seem excessive while the portions and quality appears average for a pub. For a local place where the clientele will be made up of residents, it seems a pricy endeavour to be a regular spot to hit. Pints are geared more towards central London prices but we are in zone 3. More importantly one of the staff who appears to be the floor manager is extremely rude, she comes across as very confrontational to clients as well as to her own staff. Did also overhear her swearing. A shame as the rest of the staff are an incredible pleasure. Moreover, given the situation kitchen staff should be wearing gloves to handle food, have seen chips and fish placed onto a plate with bare hands.

D. P.Attractive clean, modern venue in a prime riverside spot. Quite well organised to provide service in spite of the COV19 challenges, however there was one member of staff who spoilt the experience for my partner and I. This individual told us when serving our drinks at 10.30pm that we needed to drink quickly as the bar would be closing at 10:50pm. When I queried this with her, citing the time on the website as being 11pm, she told us that the website is wrong and the bar is closing at 10.50pm due to COVID.
Shortly afterwards, a colleague came to take payment and reminded us that the bar was closing at 11pm. I asked him why his colleague standing next to him hold told us 10.50pm and he reiterated that the bar definitely closed at 11pm. I said that his colleague must have been lying to me then, she then stepped in and told me she wasn't lying and that I had misunderstood her. My partner clarified that she had definitely said this. When walking away she loudly said to her colleague that I am "weird".
When we left the bar shortly before closing time we complained to the manager Kristof about the situation, as we were talking to him the female colleague in question made a point of walking past us, staring and laughing at us. Kristof apologised and offered to buy us free drinks at our next visit.
*UPDATE* We returned to the Windjammer to take the Kristof up on his offer of a free drink- we brought a local friend along. The service was great with a warm welcome from all- the member of staff who had been rude on the last visit apologised. We will definitely be going back.
