Proper pub, great beers (freehold so you have variety) amazing pizzas. If you want to know what an English pub is meant to be, head to the windmill. Also do a great lunch pint and pizza for £12.

I came there with my 9 month old as needed to feed him and was the only place open. Great staff especially the lady in the kitchen who made us feel so welcome. Also try the pizza/pint deal for £12 cant go wrong!

Me and my girlfriend visited this pub on a few occasions while we were on our first ever visit to London. We were staying just around the corner, and we spotted the advertisement board on the junction for Albert Embankment, so we decided to give The Windmill Pub a try, and we were so glad we did. The young lady (don't know her name) was so friendly, and is a credit to the pub. Couple of occasions the pub was busy, but despite this we got our food very quickly. The quality and the amount of food, was excellent. Good pub grub at a good price (compared to other food places in London). I'm so glad we found The Windmill Pub, as it saved us a fortune, compared to eating at our hotel, and was literally a stones throw from our hotel to. We are planning on visiting London again this year (as we thoroughly enjoyed it last time) and needless to say, we will be eating out in The Windmill Pub again when we visit later in the year. To sum up: If you want good quality pub grub at a reasonable price, then this place should be on the top of your list.

The last time I visited they had added pizzas to their menu, great taste and brilliant value. I always get a warm welcome. Even though the pub is tucked away it is a little gem it's lovely to be able to visit a traditional pub which has a great selection of beers as well as spirits at reasonable prices which as a pensioner is an important factor

On a weekend away from Cambridge, This was the last pub we visited last March, just a few days before the dreaded lockdown. It is a lovely cozy pub with great food. The scotch egg was amazing. A great place and definitely returning when we back to normal.

I happened upon this pub a few months ago. It’s a true hidden gem and I’ve become a steadfast regular. The team that work here are incredibly hard working, polite and dedicated to serving whom ever walks through the door as if they are old friend. There is a great selection of beers and ales as well as spirits. The food is exceptional and I can’t recommend the homemade Lasagne enough and the Green Chicken Curry is outstanding. The is an outstanding little pub and I look forward to visiting it again very soon.

What a fantastic pub! I was staying in the Park Plaza hotel around the corner and fancied a beer away from the hotel bar which was a bit soulless. I came across this place - great beer, staff and food with loads of atmosphere. One of the best hidden away pubs I have come across in London - a real find. Try the ales - they are excellent.

A real find of a pub tucked down a side street. We wandered in there by accident whilst trying to escape the dire bar of the Novotel we were stopping in around the corner. Friendly staff and clientele, great ales and comfy sofas with decent pub food added to a very enjoyable evening.For the money very good indeed.

Its a nice little pub in a hidden street. The food is average and some of the bar staff are a bit cold. But if you are looking for a place to watch sport and have food and a pint that doesn't cost too much then this place is ok for you.

Tucked away in a quiet side street, a short distance from the river Thames. A small pub which still retains some of the early Victorian features amongst its walls. Frequented by a good number of locals.

Great pub food along with a cheap price tag. Most items on the menu are between £5-7 for a main. Just ask for your starter to come before your main otherwise they might come together as ours did!

Fantastic little pub in the backstreets of Albert Embankment. Great to see choice of great ales including Doom Bar. Quiet at the weekends, which makes it a nice place to chill out on a Friday or Saturday night!

Good atmosphere and the meals were reasonable, my only criticism was they battered the fish with the skin on and I couldn't eat it. This was a personal thing though and it may not bother anyone else, the fish was well cooked though

Very cute little place, near the hotel where I stayed with my mother😊The food was very good and the waitress nice, the only problem are actually the toilets which are pretty dirty😅 Kitchen closes quite early (9 p.m.)
