A great location for Chilling & Drinks! A lovely Gay bar, all types of people are welcome here too! Friendly wonderful people and workers, a bundle of joy literally. You guys want great vibes come down here! They have 2 floors , 2 bars , 1 terrace and many seating areas from indoors to outdoors. No entry fee Reasonable prices not too experience nor too cheap , it's just right. Recommended to all party/chill goers and especially smokers, lots of outdoor place and ash trays to smoke.

Had an incredibly fun evening here with friends! Can get a bit busy at the bar but not an issue! Music selection was fun and ambience was great! Drinks are reasonable for London standards not the cheapest but expected. Will be back!

Quite a nice bar but outrageous prices for two pints. £13.50. Went to Halfway to Heaven later and three pints cost less than that! BTW: if you are going to provide WiFi don't cheap out on it and use a freebie service. Your booze prices mean you can afford a commercial service. Seriously, 1Mbps (going down hill)?. Do you want the guests to advertise they are here or not????

Having been tonight I wonder why people keep going here. The toilets are dilapidated and pretty filthy looking, the drinks are expensive (£7.50+ per pint of Estrella )and the table service tonight was super slow( 15 minutes per order) and generally clueless.

It’s impossible to sit somewhere or even mingle in the middle. They should regulate the amount of people going in, it’s not a club so if you can’t sit or find a corner to chat with your friends there’s no point.

I have lived in Italy for years but nothing I have ever eaten is comparable to the pasta dish I had at The Yard during Tier 2 in December 2020. The beautiful organic pasta accompanied by the variety of organic vegetables and greens were something I will remember forever. The staff were adorable and very helpful too.

A cool place to catch up with friends and enjoy your coffee, beer or even your cocktails upstairs. Great place for smoke lovers as there is an open yard downstairs. Hard to find places like that in London cos if you need to smoke you have to be prepared and freeze to death. Overall cool people and very friendly staff. Always prefer it weekdays as weekends is very crowded. But i mean you are in Soho.. it's everywhere crowded.

Beautiful place! We recently had our Christmas Party/Drinks here. We reserved the larger area upstairs and it was a perfect evening. They have happy hour(s) during the week , with a good selections of drinks! They also make great cocktails. Relatively expensive and often very busy Soho gay bar frequented by all sorts. Nice smoking area and a good chatty atmosphere with people striking up convos with strangers whether they like it or not! Friendly security at the front and quick bar staff. The food is basic grub but not at all bad.

I like the stylish layout from the entrance to the overhead lights in the outside area. The place can get busy on the weekend but as long as your in good company I find the Yard an enjoyable venue.

Best (only?) outdoor drinking area in Soho, in a courtyard with interesting decor (statues, plants & decking). Used to be stables. Always busy at weekends, have to push past crowds to get to the bar. Upstairs bar (accessed from courtyard) is cosier, different style & atmosphere but just as crowded. Closes ridiculously early (midnight), so better for evening drinks. Used to offer free entry to a nearby late bar to make up for this.

Well we were having a great time the atmosphere was great busy but also chilled Until the door man came over told one off my group he couldn’t sit where he was sat We had checked with the bar staff and he told us it was fine not blocking an exit. When we told this to the doorman his come back was the bar staff know nothing and are wrong so get of your seat which my friend did the doorman took the chair turned about 90deg and gave the chair to a standing woman. He literally kicked a male customer out of his chair to gave it to a female customer. What sort off establishment are you running when we complained he just said we couldn’t sit where we sat ( the two seater table under the no smoking sign on the left as you come into the bar) the no smoking sign with the smoking area map that no one reads This sort of put a downer on our night but fortunately we managed to get seats in the bar area. Just gutted that your door staff think they can treat male customers like that

I absolutely love this bar. The first thing you would notice about it is the entrance, and it is grand! With marble human statues on either side, and flower pots lining the entrance, it is one of the most beautiful bar fronts I have seen. The bar has two floors, and it is fun to stand out in the open on the first floor and look down upon the courtyard below. The seating in this bar is sparse, but the bartenders are nice and so are the drinks. This bar is quite popular though (and rightly so!). So don't be scandalized if you see it full to the brim with people. :)

My favourite Soho bar. The only shame is they allow smoking in the semi open air areas. Also if they paid a bit more attention to the long entry area (fixed the fountain and lights etc) more people would sit up that way and ease the crowding.

Its always crowdy there but in a nice way. Love the court yard and the open terrace on the first floor. Please have a look to change this green tent at the middle... Not my favourite pub in Soho but friends like it so we are sometimes here. can get a bit cramped at busy times and difficult getting to the bar and back, when its that busy I would prefer they turned people away at the entrance rather than cramming in more. I hate the fact that after 6'ish on a weekend they start collecting up tables and chairs and make people stand ? I guess to squeeze in more punters, but it kills the atmosphere and reason for going there for a relaxed drink. Please think about that policy ...

One of the nicer gay soho bars, less pretentious than others and with the large courtyard and balcony area has one of the biggest 'outdoor' spaces of any gay bar in central London. drink prices are reasonable and this is a regular place for me to meet up with friends.

As far as LGBT venues go, you can't find a more decent place than Yard in SoHo. Crows are decent, great ambiance, and it has multiple spaces you can hang out at. There's the yard itself at the entrance, then the bar inside, plus a Loft bar area upstairs. The beers and drinks are relatively cheap in comparison to bars in the area. You can easily communicate with your fellow patron and the music is good that it doesn't seem to get on anyone's nerve. The bar staff is efficient to the point they can be. The security at the entrance will prevent you from walking in with any drinks. So either finish them or empty it out. Go for a pint if you are in SoHo. My only dislike is the early closing hours :((
