Reviews of Vinegar Yard
S. V.
Great venue, staff very attentive and one of the best burgers I've tasted (I tried an Indian inspired burger, so so tasty). We had an Igloo, so good with great views. Will definitely be one of our go to places when in London. The location is perfect 🥰
C. J.
Went today for lunch, and enjoyed it… decent options for food (burgers, dim sum and pizza).. not the best quality booze options but plenty of choice….
Not a massive fan of plastic glasses and not being able to walk around the food trucks to see the food etc before you order.. but suppose that’s the world we live in now..
Be a great place when the sun is out!!
B. D.
Not a lot of food stalls or bars to chose from but there was plenty of seating available. Igloos looked interesting and the drinks were reasonably priced. However we had to order using QR code and was charged a service charge everytime we ordered.
B.
Amazing food and atmosphere! I'm so going back! Was really lovely to see people having their Christmas party here too!🥰
C. G. D. S.
Perfect for groups! Nice atmosphere, great selection of food and drink, Vinegar Yard is part of the growing trend of courts that have many vendors under one roof, great if you have many people that can't decide on one thing, here you don't have to.
No more splitting the bill! each table comes with a QR code which you can view the menu, order food and drink to the table and pay the and then.
Presumably the vendors will change over time, but at least when we went, we had a very interesting Indian lamb burger with onion bahji, chutney and a Naga chili jam, accompanied by poppadom nachos which essentially is bite size pieces of poppadom with all your favourite chutney, pickle and yogurt combos on top, it was fantasticly different, full of flavour, the lamb burger was juicy and succulent, the onion bahji provided a nice crunchy contrast.
We grabbed a nice little private booth, each table comes with it's own little private heater, that you don't need to keep turning back on.
I would really recommend vinegar yard, it was a great experience.
M.
Great vibe, good food (ordered a burger and pizza and both were amazing). Nice to be able to order pitchers of beer as it's just easier to pour your own in groups. Covered right now and tables in the booths have heaters. Staff very friendly as well.
K. S.
Decent covid safe bar, great location, clean toilets and table service using QR Code.
Downside are prices, £6.60 a pint of 4% lager.
Table service was surprisingly quick, on average, arriving about 5-6mins after placing a drink order on a busy Friday night.
Food was decent but expensive and small portions.
Probably reflected of London prices now but having moved out of London over 14 years ago, it was a bit of a shocker.
On that basis am giving it 3 stars but to be fair, if I was still living in London and had some more disposable income, I would rate it 4 stars.
A. A.
Tried the Baba G's Lamb, Chicken Burger on first try and then Nanny Bill's Chicken King on second try. The Burgers looked more delicious than they actually were. I wouldn't say they were bad, but there was just something missing on flavor in all 3 burgers I had so far. Masala fries from Baba G's were good from the bunch. Due to smoking it's also not a baby or kid friendly environment, but certainly fine as an adult if you're ok with smoking around you. Ordering is easy using a QR code designated per table to order and pay on your phone. Overall vibe is good, lots of energy from people around on a busy night.
D. M. K.
Great place right beside London underground to grab a pint in the busy city. Very vibrant and lots of beers on tap including blue moon. Lots for everyone
N. W.
Popped in for a quick drink, and sought refuge from the cold in one of the booths with the heating turned up and the curtains closed! Ordered several items from each of the eateries and it was amazing, like a tapas adventure!
I like how you can order from all the available menus in one order, all our food was tasty and served quickly, and brought straight to our table. Really recommended!
The moving mountain burger with a bhaji and pickles on top was fantastic.
V. M.
The space itself is so cool. The fact that it's dead in the middle of London Bridge is so convenient but it also adds a nice edge to the areas. Always good to have something different! I paid almost £18 for dumplings and aubergine curry with rice which I think is way way overpriced. I could go to Borough Market and get more for less so I'm not sure why prices are this high here. That was my biggest let down especially for the portion size I felt a bit ripped off. I think I will return but mainly just for drinks as it seems like a good location for a session with friends.
M. C.
Welcome was really friendly. Setting is nice. Unfortunately the table I sat down at and ordered via QR code was in a wind alley - so I got really cold. I should have moved and waived the waiters down! Food was tasty. Overall I felt it was all slightly over priced. I’ve ticked it off the list now. Onto the next one.
J. M.
Amazing spot - brilliant food and drinks and wonderful staff! I went to Vinegar Yard for an event recently on their rooftop and had an incredible time. The staff were friendly, well trained, and the offering was beautiful- all types of delicious food and drinks in a fun and atmospheric setting. Definitely recommend for a night out!
H. H.
Cool spot and great place to hang out with friends. Everything is ordered through the mobile and served to you. The food could be better, but considering its a cafeteria style experience, I'm not going to knock marks for that.
E. G. M.
What can I say, such a fun place. Chill ambiance as in there is no dress code. But enjoy good music and great drinks, (some people will get up and dance). I love it here any day of the week or weekend
Y. S.
Just superb. Great food, great atmosphere. Book an igloo for a special treat and a more personal service. Just fantastic. Pop to the sky garden forst then just a short walk for a more affordable meal for the family x
D. W.
As a small pop up style market this is ok. The unusual knitwear may be of interest to some people and the vintage fur and leather coats are spectacular, if you like that kind of thing. Friendly informative stall holders but not a lot of buying going on during our visit.
l. r.
Staff were brilliant, in particular Tia and Josh! They were kind and friendly and couldn’t help us enough. Catered for our every need! Definitely recommend coming to the vinegar yard and booking an Igloo. Initially it’s expensive but you get an exceptional service.
I.
Nice place but better make booking for the outdoor space in advance, especially for the weekend! There is a flea market attached to it - many cute boutiques there.
M. H.
Lovely open (perfect for a social distancing get catch up) venue, with food and drinks ordered from your table using a QR code that you have to scan with your phone. I went on a sunday mid April and waited in line for 15 mins for a table as online reservations were fully booked.
4/5 I wish there were more options food wise. Plus I paid £2.50 for a can of coke, and there were only heater if you were under the canopy which I wasnt, and had to rush off as I was getting chilly :).
H. M.
First time in visiting Vinegar Yard on Friday evening and were lucky enough to get a table without booking however it wasn't in the heated section so it was very cold. I found the prices for food and drink to be on the expensive side. I ordered duck bao buns which were nice but for the price, you would expect a side to come with it as they are very small. Not all food vendors were open so wasnt much choice at the time. Service was pretty quick on the plus side and on the whole a decent experience.
B. S.
Had a lovely time celebrating my birthday here. Tia, our server, was a highlight of the evening as she was really sweet, helpful, and attentive.
Really good vibes overall & if you want my recommendation, order the pork ragu and you won’t regret it.
A. B.
Lovely igloos on top of the Yard with a view of the shard. Great space to book for a Christmas party!
M.
Really great service and food. I had prawns and fries. My partner had calamari and chickpea fritters. All of it was super great. Only downside is that the spend is a minimum of £12, which means if you’ve finished your food and would like to order another drink, you probably can’t do it. Obviously due to Covid restrictions, but a shame nonetheless. Regardless of this, I had a great late lunch out and the service was fab.
T. M.
Great atmosphere, was full of Danes for the euro semi final.. 🇩🇰
Great place, covered and open seating, reasonably priced drinks for London!..
Huge TV Screen 5mins walk fron the Shard..
C. R.
Nice outdoor venue similar to Pop Brixton, yet not as authentic and less food choice. Remote ordering takes away some of the charm, but makes it feel Covid safe!
C.
Great food, sat in our own booth. Thai green curry
E. P.
Good location opposite the station and nice atmosphere on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Had to ask to be seated in the sun but we were accommodated. Drinks are expensive and do take 10-15 mins to come out, and there is an annoying mandatory service charge but hey, that’s the price you pay for table service and tbh it’s nice not to have to queue for drinks(!) Had some snacks and food was good. Wouldn’t bother if the weather wasn’t nice... not much cover.
S. B.
This is a nice little place. We had our table for 2 and half hours which I thought was long enough to have a few drinks and something to eat. Was shown to a table big enough for 8 people even though there was only me and the Mrs. We ordered food and drinks through the QR code on table, and within 15 minutes we had our food and drinks with us. The food was lovely, the fries have a bit of a kick but lovely nonetheless.Staff were friendly and helpful, and I think this place would very busy in the evenings. It's out in the open but there are umbrellas all over the place. All in all, I would recommend this place to any and everyone
A. L.
Absolutely perfect setting for summer nights with friends. Situated right outside London bridge station, there is ample seating and delicious food and drink options. Drinks are a little expensive, but it can be expected from a place like this. Toilets are clean enough for such a busy spot. Amazing view of The Shard and if you get to up on the terrace, you're surrounded by all the old brick buildings which is cool. Expect to queue, but not for hours!
j. m.
Me and my team came for a small event here last week and had an amazing time. The drinks were great and selection of food was great! The staff are also super friendly, accommodating and efficient. Hash especially was really great and went above and beyond for us and treated us like VIP's with nothing being too much to ask.
R. K.
One of my favourite outdoor places in London; even when it’s a bit chilly! I’m hoping they have a festive set up this year; that would be great! If they add heating, even better! Super cute spot and it’s right next to London Bridge station so it’s very convenient and easy to get to from a myriad of places in London.
W. A.
Really nice quirky place. Food was lovely and arrived quickly. My only concern is the use of mobile only, what happens to those who for whatever reason do not have a mobile.
S.
The pizza was absolutely great (like seriously good), staff were very friendly and the venue was very chill and relaxing
Great place to meet with friends!
Would highly recommend you check it out!
D. K.
Had a lovely night! Was served by Tia and she was absolutely lovely! 10/10 would recommend the place, cozy vibes and good food
J.
Great atmosphere, not too crowded and plenty of tables on a Saturday for lunch. If you're lucky you'll get direct sunlight on the terrace. A bit pricey though, and the toilets were very basic
S. E.
This is such an amazing little place. The stalls are fantastic with so much variety, and the coffee is excellent. Worth a stop if you're at London Bridge
T.
Awesome location! We came during covid and it was still brilliant. We grabbed some food at Nanny Bills, can’t wait to come back!
K. N.
Vinegar Yard will be many Londoner's favourite summer al fresco destination for so many reasons.
First, let's talk about its location. It's in one of London's coolest area, London Bridge, and is only a few minutes walk away from the station under the watchful eye of the Shard. At night, it's going to be a spectacular sight.
When you know Vinegar Yard was brought to you by the same people who delivered us foodie favourite destination Flat Iron Square, you can bet the food is going to be good, and it is. I ordered 'The Jam' burger from the maestros, Nanny Bill's food truck - a double patty monster with oozy cheese and sweet chilli jam - and loved it. But that's not all. Looking around I saw, a Prosecco van, Up My Grill (well-known purveyors of excellent Argentinian steaks), an Indian food truck and more. I felt well-hydrated thanks to the open-air bar at the end serving a wide choice of craft beers on tap.
It's quite a big venue and there are lots of tables and benches to accommodate large groups. But be warned, I bet this will place become really busy in the summer. Arrive early before the crowd does. It's largely an outdoor venue but there is a decent sized indoor area to save you from the rain.
Besides the food, Vinegar Yard is also a vintage flea market. If you're looking for something unique to gift, this is a good place to look Here, you might find books, ceramics and cameras.
I appreciated the metal artwork too. An abandoned train carriage infested by large ants.
I can tell this going to be a fantastic place to be in the summer. You'll be hard-pressed to think of another good al fresco foodie destination in London than Vinegar Yard. I highly recommend spending a warm summer's evening here.
M. C.
Great spot for an outdoor drink. Was there on a Thursday and it got pretty busy and crowded as the night went on. Liked the fact that drinks could still be ordered at table (for a small fee) via an app, although you can still order from the bar if you don't mind queuing.
p.
Nice yard but closes at 10 and you have to go inside. Came back for lunch and it was much more relaxed than flat iron square. Loved the Indian burger stand.
C. O.
Food was tasty and the pizza place opened up for us, they were getting ready for evening, which was nice of them. Staff were very friendly. Slightly expensive, but I'm only back in London and maybe it's the norm now.
B. E.
If you're around London Bridge and Borough Market and you haven't been The Vinegar Yard....well You're missing out on a great place to socialize and meet new people. Both Bar and food table service is available.... albeit via a Table Specific app, so plenty of options. Great place to visit.
S. K.
Not to many stalls about mainly Pub and Grub areas
A. B.
We had a great time for my friend’s birthday in a private “igloo”, Josh and Tia were excellent. Thanks so much!
A. L.
Nice place with lots of seating areas and table service. Street food stalls but it is possible to order from the table directly, including drinks, without having to go queue which is great. Staff were friendly.
K. F.
Good atmosphere! Long queues for the bar, but short queues for most food stalls. Prices are similar to other food festivals in London (£7-10 per item).
M. T.
Think this place has sadly become a victim of its own success. After coming so many times, likely won’t go back. The staff were so unfriendly, patronising and plain rude with a unique knack of making you feel totally unwelcome. So much so we left after one drink.
V. G.
Lovely place to have a drink and grab something to eat (the Baba Ganush hamburgers are amazing). You have plenty of tables with seats to enjoy outdoor in a sunny day. It was crowded but it doesn't bother me at all as that's the vibe I was looking for. There are stands with craft stuff to buy and the view is really cool. I recommend it
M. T.
I got the winter igloo and had an amazing night. Our attendant, Tia, was very helpful and made the experience great.
K. H.
Newby left us with raw more than rare steak sandwiches, but a cold blue moon beer and lashings of sunshine made up for it. Expensive but nice, just be aware of the beggers and don't expect to be fed under an hour at peak.
H.
Very cool place for some drinks and a bite to eat. Will happily go back there with friends and colleagues. My partner and I really enjoyed the croquettes. Mac n chess/beef brisket. Top nosh!
L. B.
Pretty poor choices if you can't eat dairy, order online doesn't allow you to make changes. FYI brioche contains milk.
N. S.
Very close to London Bridge train station, this old car park has been transformed into a flea market/ bar/ art exhibition and street food fest. Great for food and drinks in all weathers. Hop stuff london brewery beers on sale. Well spaced out for social distancing. Staff friendly and helpful. Nanny bills burgers and croquettes are a winner
m. b.
Would be awesome in the summer bit chilly this time of year. Patio heaters looked dangerous. Luckily half didn't work. Great pop up food stalls. Still a bit chaotic on service from app.
R. I.
Nice little place near the Shard. With bars and few food tucks. Food it’s good, atmosphere and vibe is chilled and relaxing. They have lots of space so it’s not cramped up.
P. H.
First visit. Very convenient being a minute walk from London Bridge Station. Great atmosphere and beer. Good mix of people and ages. A bit like a Boxpark. Hot food available if you need it.
E. B.
Small yard with a few places to grab the food (pizza, burger, steaks) and some venders who sell clothes, hand made jewelries and home stuff, there is a coffee shop Gentleman baristas, they make a really decent coffee. of you are an art lover, come inside and enjoy numerous metallic statues made by famous British artist Joe Rush
P.
Really nice place under the sun. Have a nice relax day with friends with street food and good drinks with a view on the shard. Up in my grill is worth a taste with the steak plate
D. D.
Great find under the back drop of the Shard. Tasty treats and cool cocktails.
D.
Great little market, full of vibrant people, food, drinks and music. If you love vintage fashion, jewellery, items and hand made items- you’ll love this place!
C. L.
Good place overall, some outside hearings, service reasonably quick, small portion of mulled wine for the price.
A. S.
Current guidelines - table service only.
You can scan the QR code on your table, order and pay.
Public toilets available in the main building.
J. F.
Cool vibes, however, keep in mind that a steep 12.5% service charge will be added for staff to bring you (already pricy) drinks in plastic cups in an outdoor street food marketplace.
R. C.
Lovely relaxing place in the heart of London. Daytime during the week are great as it is not too packed. It gets busy after working hours but it does not impact on the experience. Great food options around the Yard and you never queue for too long. Staff are quick and there is always someone assisting you to get to a shorter queue. Staff are polite all over and the atmosphere is just great. You get to see several families with children around. it is safe and relaxing.
I. B.
Nanny Bills was a really good spot. The Dalston Dip burger was juicy and the gravy was a good touch if you want a wet, moist burger.
N. H.
Excellent - great food, service was excellent. Lorena in particular was very helpful and made our experience fantastic - thank you!
J. Y.
Really nice vibe and great place to get a drink with some friends! We showed up early so didn't have a problem getting a spot. It wasn't too busy so service was very good and speedy and the chicken tikka burgers was very tender and delicious! The green curry was ok but would try something else if I go back there. Overall a fun place!
D.
Great place for a vintage shop or thrift. Lot's of supplies for artists (of all forms). They have a bookstall, organic homeade products.
V. P.
Great atmosphere, reasonable prices. There was less variety in beer than I was hoping.
H. J.
We went to Nanny bills. Excellent burgers, great atmosphere.
A. B.
Good selection of food trucks and bar with outdoor and indoor seating. Nothing ground breaking or amazing but nice for summer sunshine drinks.
B. L.
Typical London thing. Food was good. Had Indian style burger. Beer choice was limited. Very expensive
t.
Great place for small and large groups lots of outdoor space, good selection of food and drink. Good atmosphere, and spacious. Also convenient location if you are commuting from London Bridge
M. F.
They need to work on their app because you have to rescan the table bar code and reenter your card details every time you want to order something.
D. P.
I had my 26th birthday here and the legend that is Hash made it. From the booking process to the day Hash was really helpful and made it a great night! Legend
C. T.
Nice open outdoor seating with huge screen and view of shard and fast drinks service with qr ordering but the vegan chicken bites and seasoned chips weren't very good in terms of taste and they weren't reasonably priced either. The macaroni cheese croquettes bites were okay but you get a very small portion so not really worth it. Good for drinks, bad for food. £6 for a gin a lemonade is fine.
M. H.
Flea market is small and cute, sells art, clothes and jewellery and soaps. Food is also brilliant, we tried the burger and chips and some pork buns. Quick friendly service.
R. W.
Fun place to enjoy beers and cocktails with friends. Tasty BaBa G's lamb burgers & fries and other food options. Following govt. guidelines. Enjoy!
T.
Great location, Great place, cool surroundings, the service was very good and using the app was easy..There was 6 blokes, 6 beers every round, 2 hours drinking but the over priced service charge was ridiculous. Especially when we was only sitting about 3m away from the service point. We can appreciate the government charge but this just felt like daylight robbery, which was a shame. Will definitely go back but only without the service charge.
M. P.
Quirky dining area with multiple eateries and an artisan market located close to London Bridge station.
D. R.
Plenty of space and good for kiddies. Great food choices from Italian to Curry and the usual pizza and burgers... A very quirky art gallery of automata-type statues made from old engines and the like a slightly kooky extra, and an adjacent vintage/flea market with not-just-what-everyone-else-has for sale. Gin bar and a prosecco van complete the day out.
B.
A great little find, right opposite London Bridge Station and in the shadow of The Shard. Relax with some food and drink from the four corners of the globe, yes there's even fish n chips in this quirky place.
L. W.
I recently booked a work event at Vinegar Yard and the team were fantastic! It's an amazing venue with a great selection of food and drink and really good atmosphere. I'll definitely be back again and a big thank you to Hash and Jess for taking such good care of us.
L. J.
We was sat in a booth which had curtains to create cosy rooms - nice touch. Although beer was pricey…
F.
To be fair, I'm not able to fully comment as I was only at the overflow/ bar only section. However considering not been out drinking since the lockdown the drinks menu was a bit on the option low scale, also they didn't tasted as strong as I'd imagined. Maybe my expectation was too high or? Overall I'd say on a more sunny and warmer day this place has potential and I'd recommend this for an outdoor venue. Upon my next visit I'll definitely review my score and coment.
S. P. A.
If you are looking for a good spot for chilling and have a couple of drinks in the main of the city there is Vinegard Yard.
Very pleasant host and security at the entrance, good price and ambience to spend time with friends and groups.
E. G.
Decent food, good atmosphere, covid safe, glasses were really dirty and a 12.5% tax was imposed on every order. Aware these are tough times but 12.% is very steep to have someone bring your drinks and food to you. Probably better places to head to.
M. M.
Great open style food market.
Would recommend booking.
View of the shard.
Have sheltered seating if bad weather.
Near London bridge station
M. R.
This is quite a nice marquee bar with quite a nice open area upstairs. The downsides are the drinks a expensive and you get charged 12% service charge on on top, so they do take advantage of the current rules in place where you can’t order at the bar. The pints were flat too hence the 3 stars.
C. R.
Great place to have a drink and eat some food, even watch the matches
T. M.
Ordering food and drinks to your table with the app is so easy, I hope it never goes back. Great selection of food vendors, decent drinks in a picturesque setting.
R. P.
Amazing atmosphere and lots of space. Felt covid safe. Just a note to say they have table service where you order online but there is a service charge added no matter how often you order and what you order, it adds to the overall cost of your outing. If you are on a budget then this might not be right for you.
S. K.
Vinegar Yard is a great spot for a drink. It's become a bit overhyped and is now impossible to get a table unless you book a month in advance, but good if you can get in.
N. M.
Combination of a flee market, street food and coffee/drinks. Limited in the food offerings at the moment. Some interesting items to purchase in flee market, in particular the prints specialising in areas of London. Plenty of seating outside under the sun and good views of the Sharing towering over the city.
M. L.
Really nice atmosphere and some amazing food trucks. Definitely recommend all the food at Up In My Grill
L. J.
the concept is good but the execution is shoddy — far too pricey for essentially the same service as a wetherspoons
C. B.
LOVED THE PLACE AND THE FOOD, prices are okay for London and I think it's worth it! However, there was an unexpected service fee of more than 5£ for a bill of over 40£, which I did not appreciate... Since when do restaurants do this?! Especially in London given how expensive the food is 🙄 But I will definitely go back 😋
A. M.
Cool place to sit outside they also have a big screen up for the Euros recommend booking ahead. There are a number of food outlets did not tray any but the burgers looked good.
K. T.
Very busy place, very well organised in terms of covid-safety. We were a 20+ people party and, considering the size of the party (and of the place) some delays were unavoidable, but overall it was quite good. The prices went up since last time we visited the place (was before COVID, so can understand that) but at least we could all meet, talk, drink and eat.
The staff was very nice and they could everything they could to make it all pleasant while also safe
S. T.
Covid times meant funny rules with tables. Despite booking a month in advance we were given a table without cover. It naturally rained and despite asking on numerous occasions to move to an empty table we were rejected to sit in the rain. These tables weren’t filled until our 2 hours were up. A little more common sense would have been nice
M. G.
Recently went with friends after the lockdown restrictions changed. Really great place for drinks! The venue is very spacious and open air. The staff was really good about ensuring everyone checked in with the NHS app and hand sanitizer was widely available.
E. B.
Had a great time! Lovely table service staff.
Especially, Esta who was a star and immediately looked into one of my orders which I was waiting a long time to arrive. Given it was a busy Saturday night, she was so polite, friendly and dealt with the situation very well.
M. D.
Cute little flea market with interesting stalls with even more interesting stall owners! Worth popping over for that oversized vintage shirt or other bits and bobs.
E. D.
Mixed bag - the site and set up is quirky and interesting, the pricing varied from about-OK to you-what? To pay over a tenner for a tasty-but-left-me-hungry burger... urinals free for all with no Covid crowd management.... won't be back in a hurry.
E. R.
Wonderful atmosphere even during covid. Small but vibrant with quality stalls of new, antique and vintage on offer. Excellent place to get that unusual gift for you or someone else.
M.
Fantastic if the weather is good, ver convenient location next to London Bridge station. Shame there is only 3 food places to order from, although all 3 are very good.
A. T.
Tidy open area with food delivered via an app. Great burgers, background music and helpful staff
J. L.
DEFINITELY drop in for a burger here... its the best we've ever eaten! Xx
A. B.
Great experience. All tables outside have covering from the rain. Each table is kept to one party to work alongside COVID regulations. Drinks are ordered via a QR and their website but the service is really quick as the bar is well staffed
W. W.
Very chilled place to be. Great staff always helpful. Place is so relaxed I could sleep her lol
N. L.
This is just great fun.
People are finding solutions to the lock down rules as they relax. This venue is an excellent example of safe dining and drinking.
Cant wait to go there again.
J. C.
Great venue, well set up, bar service is via your phone, quick service with a smile. Conveniently placed near London Bridge Station so it's easy to get home when you're worse for wear!
J. T.
A very neat and trendy spot with beer garden and street-style foods.
D. G.
A nice small market, probably not worth travelling a long distance for as the number of stalls is quite limited
N.
We had a perfect experience having food and drink here all evening - special thanks to Sheri/Cheri for making it extra special - a true professional in a fun setting.
J. W.
Tia was incredible, so attentive and friendly, made my night!
R. E.
Great selection of food, good music, good atmosphere and the staff who work here were really helpful with us due to having a pram.
G. R.
Such a lovely place to go , we didn’t have booking as we didn’t think they will be busy on Sunday. Luckily enough for us ladies at the door manage to find us a cosy table and we could enjoy our drinks and food. I will definitely come back again! Highly recommend
j. h.
There's no vinegar. Annoying. Anyway.. It's got funky food, clothes and'stuff' :) Well worth a visit.
M. V.
Amazing place... You have s different food option.. But Sugo was the best... Amazing Classico focaccia and an incredible tomato and mozzarella arancino!!
W. B.
Love this place, great choice of
menu, burger to curries all brought to table, good selection wine spirits and beer
C. W.
Amazing time! Daria looked after us so well. She really cares about the customers and makes sure that they are happy. She is a total credit to the establishment. Please make sure that everyone is like Daria and you can do no better than her. Thank you for making our night so memorable.
R. H.
Good outdoor space to eat and drink. Order from the table with the app from a mix of food market stalls. The best spots are the shacks and covered tables
k. k.
Amazing food and drink. Good vibes all round.
And the BEST service I've had in London by a great guy named Aritz!!! I'd anyone goes, make sure you ask for him!! GIVE HIM A RAISE!
w. c.
Great selection of food and beer, good music and craft/vintage stalls to visit
J.
Nice and spacious, given covid times. Good heaters. My companions turned up early (4om ish) to secure seating as it wasn't possible to book last minute, but was not super busy. Drink was an average price
A. N.
Great place, great drinks/food and atmosphere. Rude, condescending and disrespectful for absolutely no reason. Management please take care of this security/doorman. Time was 7:45pm on Sunday 16th May 2021.
M. S.
The best place to eat in London, verry lovely, finally thanks 🙏
C. M.
Recommended place for a drink. Mens toilets could be nicer...
J. B.
Good little market. Plenty of nice stalls, and you can get food there too
A. A.
Fun the food is good the beer great .
M. “. P.
Great spot for casual drinks with food truck style dining. Relaxed atmosphere and options on the food front are good. It is a slight wind trap on a good day so bring a wrap if you get cold like I do!
D.
Great outdoors street-food courtyard. Ideal for big groups
B. G.
Good spot for a drink, burger and chat. There is an aggro security guy chasing people indoors from 9pm. Quite a popular place.
O. S.
An excellent outdoor eating and drinking area which also has a flea market at one end.
A great place to meet friends for an outdoor drink in good weather.
Also a few good items in.tne flea market. We had an enjoyable few hours.
D. X.
Buzzing pop-up in the shadow of the Shard. Outdoor covered seating with a range of eateries to cater for a broad range of tastes. Bar area is small and service on the slow side is the only gripe.
A. H. M.
Vinegar Yard is perfect for chilling with friends, have some beers and eat street food.
H. H.
Love visiting here in the summer/warmer months. Great varying food and drink stalls, but some are just expensive (I think it was nearly £20 for two single gin and tonics). The tables are benches as well, so prepare to share in busier times, which is nice because everyone generally starts a big chat!
L. S.
Quirky, friendly staff and great place for drinks/food with friends. Lovely atmosphere 👌
L. C.
Nice to be out but the time to get in and to get served wasn't the best.
S. J.
It was a weekend for flea market. Interacted with many local and upcoming entrepreneurs in their own fields. Was so pleasant to be out and interacting with people with their passions!
N. R.
A nice place but I would recommend booking in advance to get the tables you want
H. W.
First time here and it was a quirky cute place right next to the station. Nice staff, nice food, ok prices and a good atmosphere. Only thing that let it down was the lack of cleaning in between guests. I ended up using my own sanitizer wipes and certain staff weren’t wearing masks but coming over to collect empty glasses which was a bit confusing
R. S.
Great atmosphere, decent drink selection but lacking on the good rums.
A. L.
Eat drink shop & scrap art by Joe Rush! Go before it gets turned into flats!
I. H.
Good food and drinks + heaters make it work in winter
P. S.
Over priced! £33 for a bottle of basic Sauvignon Blanc plus £4.00 service charge... Table service only so you don't have a choice but to pay service charge... probably won't be going back
A. F.
Super quirky and fun food court, food from couple vendors was OK but nothing to write home about.
A. F.
Decent atmosphere, food and drinks for Central
K. D.
Great atmosphere & easy booking process. While I understand charging a service charge while operating a table service there should still be an option to remove this.
A. H.
I visited the site early on a Saturday. As a consequence the food and drink outlets were still setting up and there weren't a lot of people about. The "Flea" market and arts complex (weekends only?) was interesting but sparse at the time. I would need to go there later in the day to get a proper feel for the atmosphere/ambience and give a more representative review.
S. M.
Love this place just didn't like being told to leave after 2 hours. Staff are great and service is fantastic
L. F.
Attended to celebrate a birthday and graduation and received quality service. Callum was very attentive, extremely friendly and welcoming. We could not recommend this place enough!
a. b.
Alex and Eve were the best bar tenders EVER! Great service :)
L. C.
Excellent new outdoor area minutes from London Bridge station. It's still very new and new stalls are opening all the time so it will only get better. But with great views of the shard and plenty of interesting food and drink choices its already a great place to go. Obviously table seating is snapped up fairly quickly at peak times when the weather is nice so be careful of that.
A. A.
Disappointed slightly in the stalls as expected their to be more vintage stuff. Although it was pleasant to walk around as not over crowded. We didn’t stop for food or drink but there were some lovely smells being made and it looked a lovely little spot to stop and have a snack and drink. Recommend stopping by here as it’s a nice oasis in an otherwise busy location.
S. B.
Great for outdoor seating and pizzas are very tasty!
H. T.
Really friendly staff, great food options too! Only downside is that some of the heat lamps are broken and burgers don't come with fries...you have to order seperately :( but I had the hot mess burger and it was phenomenal!!
S. P.
Stopped off at Abigails Cocktail bar upstairs, have to say the staff here are easily some of the most accommodating and lovely people I’ve ever encountered in my 20 years in London. So helpful, so on the ball, incredible. Great cocktails too!
N. O.
Loved the England v Croatia game atmosphere and amazing people so nice especially Raffa who worked there! Thanks for making it so lovely!
M. O.
Nice atmosphere inside. Bar and some food options were open. First table we sat at was sticky from a drink spillage on arrival. Seems a bit counterproductive to require guests to use hand sanitiser when tables aren't cleaned religiously between guests. We moved tables when one became available and a member of staff (who was not wearing a facemask) wiped down the old table.
C. B.
What a transformation from a couple of months ago! A great concept with independent shops plying their trade in converted chacons and bars and eating places with everyone sharing the table space in the middle. Its vibrant and happy with mainly the 18 to 30s crowd. Lots of choice food wise with wraps, Italian, nice salads with delicious hummus. Drinks not cheap!! However, no one cared. It was busy at 3pm and again when we came back at 9pm ( staying close by ) .....couldn't even get a seat! The teams they employ do a great job clearing/tidying up on a regular basis. Seems to be well run. Good fun place and with Bermondsey street just around the corner, perfectly located.
A. S.
Vinegar Yard is such a fun place to meet up with friends. The food is lovely, the beers are great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Do not let the outdoor-nature of the place turn you away from it in the winter! There are heaters everywhere and it is quite toasty. Thank you Vinegar Yard!
p.
Found randomly as we love this area and after this we will love it even more.
A. L.
Food and Drinks seem good, I briefly had a walk around. Apparently its open to 10pm or 10:30pm depending on how busy it is. Its one of those cool new places where seating is in the middle and that is surrounded by food and drink vendors. I like this setup. Also there are a few second hand clothing shops on one end.
R. S.
Nice cute place for food and drinks nice areas to take pictures. Outdoor bring a jacket bit chilly in evenings
R. J.
Couldn't find a table at borough Market and came to Vinegar Yard which was a way better experience at weekday lunch. Great food and service sitting in the sun!
A. G.
Great drinks, environment, staff & food
M. F.
Great food and atmosphere! Several food trucks to choose from, I've enjoyed the two I tried. There is also a metalwork artist that shares the space and decorates - note the ants made of motorcycle gas tanks hanging off the train car above!
M.
Good effort by staff for opening with presumably some restrictions. Bar staff great but somewhat confusing system to get in, and method of closing down a bit abrupt. Great view though, tasty burger!
N. A.
Massive space, catering very well for outdoor covid regulation, pricing is outrageous but loads of options for food so caters for different tastes, table service (tho you have no choice and a fee is applied for the 'privilege') toilets clean, tables far enough away that you can hear your friends with heaters above tables (if it works)
K.
Quick service, great outdoor space and great food options!
A. C.
Good beers, good food, appropriate prices. The place is very nice and I really appreciate the track-and-trace system, the girl receiving us was lovely. I really enjoyed it, I will be back.
M. K.
Good place for food and drinks right next to London Bridge Station.
Really nice in the summer although it does get incredibly busy on Fridays and weekends if there's a little bit of sun. On the whole, it's quite pricey but the steak and chips at Up In My Grill is worth it!
I'd also recommend the Custard ice cream van, but again, that'll set you back about £7.
C. L.
Team night out, great vibes, surprisingly spacious (we were in Abigail's bar) and superbly quick service via the app
L. G.
Good for big group, nice selection of food and drinks
M. B.
Good bar and great atmosphere. Steep food prices but still tasty.
T. O.
Amazing outdoor area, the music was amazing - probably made even better by the hot sunny weather we had whilst visiting.
R. W.
6 pound a pint, but a cool drinking venue. Doorman was awesome too.
J. L.
Good set up generally, however, when we visited there were problems with the ordering app - drinks were taking upwards of 30 mins and the app occasionally crashed.
M. T.
Great spot for drinks in central London, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere and a view of the Shard.
J. T.
Great outdoor dining area and good vibes. Can order from different restaurants at the same time which is great
V. V.
When the sun is shining this place is busy! I've been a couple of times when the sun is shining and the place is busy. Pop in for a beer, a coffee, some vintage clothing! A couple of interesting food trucks including a turnip based truck but I'd just be going for the outside drinking.
A. B.
I like the vibe this place has. The food is good I had a steak BV from In My Grill ( I think) Argentinian steak for only£10 great. My mate had a burger from another food place and that was really good also. A good choice of beers and ciders at the bar
L. L.
Great food choices Baba Gs, Nanny Bills, The Gentlemen Baristas, Sugo ,Nik’s Kitchen & Bad Boys Pizza Society.
D. O.
Attentive and courteous service. Not too busy, Wednesday evening though.
#. u.
Great atmosphere. Good selection of drinks
A. M.
very helpful staff, cool industrial decor and tasty food from different canteens. walk-in friendly but only in heater-less container area. i suggest you book in advance.
G. H.
Was a lovely space. Expensive food although the arancini wasn't bad. Love the vibe and the ants on the wall were so cute. Good for big groups.
C. C.
Really nice place!! Good place for have a beers and burgers.
F. O.
Near a "less busy" entrance of London Bridge rail station, don't miss the great Nanny Bill's burgers (try them with a croquette, amazing!) and chickpea chips by Sugo! Probably a summer street food market as they don't have a roof for rainy days, as far as I am aware.. lots of tables and ideal for large groups
G.
Julia and Richie are absolute legends. Made us feel welcome and at home and created a beautiful atmosphere for us to have a great night in an amazing environment. Will be back again.
Highly recommended!
R. W.
Nice place to go on a Friday lunch time in good weather. Food options are Ok, most are on the pricier side. £6 for a pint, but hey, what can you expect in central London
J. W.
Great spot for drinks and eats.
R. C.
A hidden gem. Lots of fab gift ideas. I'll be back for my Christmas shopping!
A. S.
Cute place with great food options and quick service, but not ideal for winter - it was absolutely freezing as the gas heaters and half the hanging lights/heaters weren't working.
I.
Very nice place to hang out and chill with friends! Background is spectacular for some good photos. Hurry this is will be converted to residential ans accommodation buildings. Experience it before it goes!
C. M.
Best place to watch Euros without going to the game. Amazingly well organised with great staff and friendly security.
M. B.
Great place for after work drinks before jumping on a train. Lots of food options too.
M. P.
Variety of food options is limited and not as diverse as places like Dinerama in Shoreditch. But it's still a lively outdoor food/drink venue where you can enjoy a nice evening under the stars with friends under the backdrop of the Shard.
M. J.
A lovely space, especially in the sunshine. Great food and a terrific little market are let down by the paucity of hospitality from the staff on hand - most seem like they physically couldn't care less. A boring drinks selection rounds off this latest 'Yard' to chase the street food fad. Worth a visit, sure, but avoid if busy.
S. S.
Greaaaaat place for an afterwork drink. Summer in the city never looked better. So many craft beers to try, nice food, a mass of beautiful people. Love london and be happy you’re right here right now.
R. G.
Visited in August, very nice in the summer. Good selection of beer. All plastic glasses but as to be expected from an outside venue. Lots of vendors. Will get busy.
J. N.
Such a quirky and unique outdoor venue. A really awesome atmosphere and hidden gem not to far from tower bridge. Also, amazing coffee and incredible friendly staff.
B. C.
Nice outside space to have a few beers - there's a covered area at the back under a canopy surrounded by food trucks, although this was closed when we went. Will be back to try!
L. M.
Neat place with a clear view on the Shard. The food could be overall cheaper imo
M. R.
Nanny Bill's is the place to visit. The service could've been faster since it wasn't busy at all. I'm ignoring this since our server was extremely friendly and gave us some freebies for the wait.
W. O.
Really nice and relaxing setting for a drink or snack. Market stalls sell some unique merchandise. Very short walk to London Bridge and good view of the Shard in the background.
E. C.
Stupidly expensive drinks - £6.40 for a pint! Food was great and around normal London market prices (vege pizza for £9 and a burger for £8.50) but limited choice compared with Maltby St or Mercato. Could do with some music in the yard. Won't be rushing back.
r. P.
Great venue and choice of food.
R. J.
Great place to come out with some mates for couple of drinks. It was fun to find some games on the tables upstairs, will come back
C. M.
Great food and drink, and family friendly.
T. m. H.
Found this place by accident looked good on the outside and wasn't disappointed when entering the bar, was to late to see the other vendors their but the pub is a nice place to chill. The staff were friendly and helpful too 👌🏻
E. s.
Great little outside area in preparation for the summer with a good selection on the bar and some good food traders. The only thing to be careful of is in bad weather there isn't really any cover, but perfect in the sunshine!
N. W.
Very good lots of options for food and drink
I. W.
Nice food af Niks cafe...delicious.Nd lovely helpful staff
L. C.
Brilliant atmosphere lovely food and beer
S. W.
Nice place to go and gave a drink (and some streetfood) a beautiful day
D. P.
Brilliant food and service loved it 👍👍
L. D.
Friendly and quick service considering it was a Friday night!
M. L.
Great fun loads of tables, outdoor space and covered from rain too! Good excellent
E. M.
Good food, ok atmosphere. The drinks are pricey with not much to offer for that extra money. It could do with some music. Overall it was a bit meh. I wont rush back
L. W.
Quick service, delicious food and very friendly staff. Thank you!
J. O.
Excellent service, attentive staff and really good food - reasonably priced for central London. Lamb kofta wrap is amazing!
G. G.
Brilliant atmosphere. Nice selection of food stalls. Can get very busy especially when the weather is great and can be difficult to find a table so be prepared!
B. P.
Excellent service we didnhave a booking but was made welcome and had Excellent service food and drinks.
C. P.
Really cute yard with a very nice view facing the shard. Plenty of food truck to eat and great selection of beers. The perfect spot for the summer.
M. C.
Few nice shops in cargo containers. Seemed like it was in its early life. Not many options once inside. Lots of seating area. Expect great things from this place in the future. Give it time.
H. W.
Quirky but as it was a Monday very quiet. I'm told at weekends it's got a great atmosphere. I liked it and had a good coffee there.
B. M.
There's food, drinks and good open space to have a great time to chat and catch up with hand sanitisers and booking options at the front door.
d.
Nanny Bill’s is AMAZING.
Such a cool location too
J. H.
Great atmosphere. Good selection if drinks, great food. I'd recommend the burgers from Nanny Bill's and the Steak from Up in my Grill
C. F. A.
I've been there today for lunch, the place is fantastic, quick service and the food ni fu ni fa
R. S.
Amazing food - great atmosphere! Always enjoy coming to Vinegar Yard. I will be back again soon :)
G. A.
Great fun. Pity you can't get real ale. Just fizz.
J. H.
Good food but a bit soulless for me. Popular with youngsters!
R. B.
Great place for drinks in the sun. And you can browse round the markets too
M. G.
The worst PIMM’s jar ever. Do not take it as the use only 2 shots of Pimm’s loads of ice, no cucumber nor mint and strawberries... basically the worst.
However the 3 stars are more for the location which is really nice
C. L.
Made for these conditions literally all you need on a cold night out. Beer from app, outdoor heater per table, sorted.
M. E.
Such a fun area - we went for post-work drinks - plenty of food stands outside under a canopy (in autumn/winter) with heaters and an indoor bar too!
A. G.
The chicken strips were perfectly cooked, great sauces and excellent seasoning😬 Nanny Bills was the restaurant name.
J. W.
Great spot in London very close to London bridge
Reasonable (for London) prices
M. C.
Food took a while to arrive.
Unfortunately people were permitted to smoke, even though the area is sheltered.
E. T.
Book in advance to get outdoor seating
A. W.
Buzzing atmosphere, great for early doors drinks from work. Bar staff remembered our complete previous drinks order despite it being packed 😱 impressive
S. P.
Summer drinks!!!! And views of the shard. Good vibes for groups.
K. M.
Fab spot. A bit confusing on how/where to order, but otherwise good.
A. D.
Great when the sun is shining and you can get enough seats for your party. Not so great when you have to sip those overpriced London beers standing up!
M. R.
They keep on expanding the pop up stores so lots of vintage clothes, not many options for vegans, a bit overpriced but lovely food 💚
A. K.
Great spot behind London Bridge station. Food options are a little limited but there is sufficient seating for all.
K. B.
Great food and lovely spot to sit in the sun! The indoor area is quirky too with the different sculptures to look at
A. M.
This was a real find in the middle of offices and shops near to the Shard. Choice of food was amazing. Wonderful pizza cooked to order.
K. K. S.
Yesterday we went enjoy
C. S.
Outdoor space next to London Bridge station where you can grab a drink or a spot to eat.
Decent vibes but a little pricey.
W. H.
Fabulous makers market and food at Vinegar Yard
S. S.
Nice place, super atmosfera and music 😁🍻🎶
A. A.
Awesome place. Nanny bills burgers are just PERFECT. Pity it's 3h flight from my home.
A. F.
Superb place to pop for lunch or after work drinks , great traders and a superb bar. Not to mention amazing cocktails and coffee.
C. K.
This place is super cool. Market, food, beers. And the Joe rush sculpture studio. Very good and on the footsteps of London Bridge Station
P. P.
Great Place for Outdoor enjoyment in a bar with nice of foods.
M. A.
Great place to go in the summer as there's loads of outdoor seating with bars also outside. Strongly recommend this place!
N. C.
Nice place to hang out, good service
A. W.
Selection of food and drink in a social atmosphere
M. J.
Would be nicer if more places were open, only 1 bar and 1 food truck. Still a nice vibe and would return when more is open.
K. L.
Fairly small yard but it has a couple of bars, outside eating space, good stores and a vintage flea market.
A. H.
Nice place, with good selection of beers, way too expensive though. The steak place is highly recommended.
M. G.
A pittoresque place. Advisable for everyone who wants to enjoy cheap and tasty street food near London Bridge in style.
A. F.
Excellent place. Only thing to say is the smoke that you will breathe all the time. And you will bring your clothes smelling home.
R. K.
An interesting place. Open air environment with lots of seating served by a variety of vendors. Worth a look.
N. I.
Good covid setup and a nice buzz to the place. Most of it is now covered so it's more accessible for the rest of the year
J. R.
Funky and fun, great g&t, loved the little vans around sides to get cheap tasty food
D. H.
Brilliant spot! Especially when the sun pours onto it.
V. c.
Good but expensive especially during football
R. J.
Nice place, staff very COVID-compliant, good food and beer!

Quirky but as it was a Monday very quiet. I'm told at weekends it's got a great atmosphere. I liked it and had a good coffee there.

Disappointed slightly in the stalls as expected their to be more vintage stuff. Although it was pleasant to walk around as not over crowded. We didn’t stop for food or drink but there were some lovely smells being made and it looked a …
A. D.
Not sure whats worse, global warming or these guys taste in music..
S. M.
It's very good place and amazing food 😋
R. G.
Visited in August, very nice in the summer. Good selection of beer. All plastic glasses but as to be expected from an outside venue. Lots of vendors. Will get busy.
W. O.
Really nice and relaxing setting for a drink or snack. Market stalls sell some unique merchandise. Very short walk to London Bridge and good view of the Shard in the background.

Too busy. Not sure if it's safe distances

Sick yard

Would be nicer if more places were open, only 1 bar and 1 food truck. Still a nice vibe and would return when more is open.
J. A. B.
Great place but seating a bit precarious would easily tip-up or over.
G. F.
Great place to go with friends and sit on the outside area during a sunny day. Prices a little bit too expensive.
