Very nice newly refurbished pub with good outside seating (albeit a bit noisy out the front) and a good menu. Not a particularly extensive range of beer but a very good atmosphere. It was empty when I came Thursday 5pm. Came again today and the online menu was out of date. My cost £25 instead of £17.50. That said it was a very well cooked piece of sirloin. Great service as always.

Absolute gem of pub! Family friendly, with a great selection of reasonably priced keg. Very difficult to stray away from their signature’ ‘smash burger’ but can also recommend the fish and chips, even my hungry teens couldn’t see it all off! This is a good gem in Kensal Green/Queen's Park area. We had croquettes as a starter (cheddar and chorizo - they change on a daily basis), and corn-fed chicken with mash and greens, and a burger as mains. The food was really good and the service was equally as good. We were served promptly and the food did not take too long to be served. The atmosphere was nice and the lights were relaxed and dim (perfect for dinner, I think). If I had to find a con I would have preferred a slight bigger portion of croquettes for that price, but besides that small nuance, everything else was 10/10!

We dined at The Whippet Inn on Christmas Eve and were greeted with fantastic service by the waiters. The pub atmosphere is splendid and the food is to match. The sunday roast was to die for, and I would highly recommend it to anyone dining there. The bar side of the Inn is just as great as the restaurant interior. I was recommended some great ales and lagers which were particularly refreshing.

The family went for an early Father’s Day meal , very enjoyable meal, lovely coffee and puddings. I would definitely recommend this pub for a family meal out. Lovely atmosphere and very quick service. (they do have the doors open, so you may need to take a jumper or a coat with you)

Went for Sunday lunch just after the restrictions were lifted. Excellent all over - the food was fantastic and the staff were amazing, they seemed very happy to be back at work! Will definitely be back for more food and drinks!

Very nice, with lovely staff. But food was pricey (by my standards - £15 for a vegi berger and chips; small range of non-meat main options) also the small range of beers; no ales so far as I could see. That's what gives 4 not 5 stars. That said they had some excellent gin cocktails, a good ambience and felt up-market.

We have lived in Kensal Green for some time now and always loved the Whippet Inn! It has a very unique vibe... friendly, chilled, but with a great atmosphere and great food and drink! We went for a Sunday Roast a couple of weeks ago and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our experience was made all the more special by our wonderful waiter James who introduced us to their new alcohol free cocktail recipes which were AMAZING! Even if you don't fancy a roast, try the cocktails! You won't regret it, they are very special indeed! Thank you for a wonderful experience guys, we will be back soon :) x

We have never realised, until we did staycation, that we had such a lovely gastro pub in our area. 🐟 and chips are absolutely gorgeous and the cider goes nicely with it. We loved it! The pub is true gem. Kat

The food was nice but the cauliflower cheese was cold though, the barstaff need training how to pull a pint of beer and Guinness, they were flat. Some of the staff were a bit rude, their customer service was bad that's why I am only giving 4* but the waitress serving us was polite and on the ball.

Great little local pub in Kensal rise. Has a sweet outdoor space at the back with lighting, heaters and blankets - perfect for annoying recent covid restrictions. The food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. Prices are standard for London so don't expect to get a bargain but the staff are really lovely and the venue is cozy - plus as I say, the food is great, so you never feel like you're being ripped off or anything. I've noticed that they are using the playground area of the school opposite the pub to extend their outdoor drinking space on an evening. No idea how this arrangement came about but I love the ingenuity.

Go here regularly with my family. The Sunday roast is particularly good. My wife and I always share the lamb which is amazing and very generously sized. A nice place to go for a drink mid week. Definitely not an old school pub but lots of beer and wine options. Haven’t tried the cocktails yet! The staff are always accommodating and do their best to be as helpful as possible. We have 3 young children and they also love going there. Highly recommended ✅

Has a restaurant as well as a bar area. The bar was pretty busy (Thursday night). Atmosphere was good. Most of the bar area has tables with seating, a few stools at the bar which severely restricted standing area around the bar itself. No real ales on draft. Selection of lagers on tap and some craft beers in bottles and cans. Bar staff were pleasant and efficient. Overall a nice pub but ideally you need to get a seat.

What a lovely pub, and I must say,after lockdown I’ve found service in certain areas below part- and using covid as an excuse. However- Michael aka ‘Mr Biggs’ was absolutely brilliant! The best Sunday Roast I've had in a pretty long while! My first time here and since it's my local, I've always wanted to give this place a try. It definitely did not disappoint. We were greeted by an attentive host at the door and even gave us a bigger table than what we reserved. I'd definitely recommend the slow roast Devon lamb shoulder to share. Cooked to perfection. Service was A1. although a bit slow, it what's expected when its busy and you want to wait for quality food (worth the wait). I've now found my permanent go to for a local Sunday roast. Winning.

For the first time I understand what mustard is for. Great staff. I am not missing the Island at all. There they insist on taking your money with little regard to the fact that its your bill. I believe a bill should be properly settled as if the customer has a part in the transaction. No photo. Had too good a time. Hope to have the full roast soon.

Great pub for Sunday roast. Wide range of drinks and friendly and helpful stuff which can help with drink choices. It's nice that they also have the regular menu alongside their Sunday roast offerings. Good vegetarian options. Dessert is not bad either. It's advisable to book ahead of you want to go for Sunday roast it can get quite busy.

I loved it here. I was meeting some friends I hadn't seen in a while and the service and attitude of the staff , food and wine and ambiance were excellent. Very easy going and efficient staff who didn't rush us even though it took forever for us to order due to my friends arriving at different times. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was nothing to do with the establishment at all but to do with the steady stream of smoke coming in from the terrace while we were eating. It was Friday on a beautiful sunny evening and I guess people were chilling out front. This is more to do with the laws that allow people to smoke on the premises but outside than a complaint about the Whippet Inn itself.

I had my 30th birthday lunch at the Whippet Inn over the weekend. We were given the snug near the back of the pub which was nice and private and perfect for our group of 18. The staff were so attentive and so kind and the food was delicious. Made for a fantastic afternoon.

Have bypassed this place multiple times but finally visited a few weeks ago and been back twice since. They do good cocktails and have a wide range of beers including crafts / IPA. Have also eaten and food was quickly served & of good quality. A nice option in this area.

Dog friendly restaurant with outdoor seating on both sides with sliding doors which open inthe summer, the food seemed great (my friends enjoyed and the portion size, cost seemed well matched). A shame my steak was too tough and had to be sent back, I think they said the Head Chef had'nt come in that day.

The best roast in the West The Whippet is an great place for Sunday lunch. We had a late booking last week about 4:30pm and the roast was perfect the Yorkshires were big yet soft, the meat was pink but not raw and the veg beautiful and the roasts crispy and fluffy in the middle. In most pubs at this time the food would be over done but not the Whippet were they are so busy the kitchen just has to keep going and their standard is great. Plus all the staff are amazing and accommodating.

One of the waitress would benefit from being more professional (she forgot one of the meal we ordered, she laughed at one of my friend's because she answered a question in a strange way-according to her), but it's nothing that should ruin your pleasure of enjoying a good time with good food! We had a burger, a pie and a steak. We all liked it.

One of Kensal's great pubs, it's comfortable, friendly and lively pub. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Whilst there is a lot of seating, if it's busy you might struggle for a larger group. It's dog friendly so bring your pups!

The food can disappoint when busy. Friday pm fish and chips have been top notch on a quiet day but turned into a ball of grease on a Friday pm. That said, it was dealt with really well and with no fuss. I'd return for sure but choose my moment.

Good selection of drinks, staff are generally indifferent with a few exceptions. The snacks behind the bar (sausage rolls and scotch eggs) are better than the actual meals which are a little pricey and can be disappointing. I wholeheartedly recommend the sticky toffee pudding and they do a good brunch and bloody Mary.

For £24 you can get a massive class A steak in loads of meat restaurants but here you get a skinny RibEye which don't get me wrong tastes good but it's far from making you satisfied which is what you want to be when you pay £24.

The whippet Inn: never been there before, once inside it looks wonderful and welcoming my friend and I had a wonderful meal of beer battered haddock wrap which is very good and tasty plus the drinks were very good especially the Wolfpack lager which I never had before my friend and I will make it a weekly thing to do and enjoy the lovely food & drinks, the staff are very helpful and friendly the service is exceptional also the prices are very good and reasonable will have to go again....
