Recently spent an evening at The White Horse, well what was supposed to be an afternoon but we were having such a lovely time we decided to stay on into the evening. First let me start by saying the decor and atmosphere of The White Horse will win you over the moment you step foot inside the pub, it’s warm and welcoming charm paired with the friendly and helpful staff make it an immediate 10/10. Throughout our time our group was looked after by a few staff members, who were all professional and prompt, one in particular who I’d like to say a personal thank you to was a man named Nico, he was extremely attentive and ensured every single need of ours was met (especially mine as I am the fussy eater/drinker and he catered for all my needs so thank you Nico!) We ate, we drank, we laughed & we didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg (so if you’re after a lovely time with delicious food but don’t want to spend your house deposit this is a great choice) I’ll end by saying we will absolutely be back and I recommend putting this place on your “must go” list.

Great pub, with a nice selection of wines and beer. Food is very good too. Great location, just behind Liverpool Street, with a nice big plaza next to it with a screen if you want to watch tennis in the summer. They've also redecorated recently and it's looking great!

Not great for the price - we ordered Camembert to start but our mains came first with no explanation, when the Camembert finally came it was cold and had been left back to set again and wasn’t melted. The chips that came with the mains were also cold. We didn’t want to pay the discretionary service charge for this reason and the waitress was quite rude to us about this

Updated review, Visited on 14.05.2021. Amazing reburbishment means the decor and ambiance lends itself to a wonderfully comfy atmostsphere. Way too noisy. Edit: Thank you for your reply! What I meant was that the customers generated way too much noise for my liking. The music level was fine and, probably has to be said, there ARE tables outside where it's heated and the noise is at normal levels. Maybe that is the way pubs are supposed to be, I'm not a Britt and wouldn't know :) Everything else was fine.

Food is nice, yet doesn't stand out with any exception. The exterior offers little to be desired as it is close to a busy main road. The staff are friendly, which is nice, and I imagine that it is very cosy in the colder months as the interior looked inviting with its log fire and traditional styling.

Had pre sabbatical drinks here on Thursday, great spot. Soooo glad I pre-ordered a load of drink. Was at least 5 deep at the bar all night. Day before Easter and the sun was shining, so no surprise. I wouldn't have queued at the bar for that long though.

Went today - one of the hottest days of the year! Sat in a great sun spot and the staff were great. I had an important meeting and forgot to print something and they kindly printed it for me! They also let me put my phone on charge :)

Great place to go for after work drinks in the city. It's a great lively bar, especially on a Thur or Friday evening and really close to Liverpool Street Station, which can be handy :D It's got a nice outdoors area, which is rammed in summer and just as popular in winter thanks to the heaters.

Fantastic gastro pub selling a great selection of Young's ales and a great selection of brands of IPAs. The food is amazing! I can particularly recommend the aged fillet steak, broccoli and chips and beer battered cod and chips.👍

This place is excellent in the summer and you will often see huge crowds gathered outside on a Thursday or Friday when the weather is nice. It can take a very long time to get served when it's packed though so be aware.

I went there a Friday evening, it was noisey and packed but the queue for the bar was not that long. The beer selection is quite poor but they have good liquors for the mixes.
