Affordable drinks, really fantastic pint of beer with a great head. Shuffle board was great £10 for one hour was fine. Lacked atmosphere as not very busy on a Friday night.

I stayed upstairs at the White Horse and Bower back in 1966 and again in 1969. My aunt and uncle lived there and ran the place. They worked very hard from morning until midnight every day. I used to pilfer Smith's Crisps from the bar during closed hours and played pool on the big billiard table. My aunt proudly told me about two of their celebrity guests. Patrick MacNee of "The Avengers," and Freddie of "Freddie and the Dreamers." Of course, I was there too, so that makes three. I loved the place. I met my cousin there in 2014 for lunch. Boy, had it changed. I had a pleasant time.

For a central London pub it is very reasonably priced. A bit of an after work boozer, but if you want a drink and it is nearby, it will not disappoint

I visited with my team and my dog in May 2021 and had a lovely evening. The beer was fresh, and the welcome and service was great. A big shout out to Victoria and Kathy for making us so welcome, especially my dog! I am looking forward to going back. Also very helpful as I'm a wheelchair user and the toilet facilities were really good.

We stopped in here for dinner on a trip last fall (September). The food was great and the bartenders were very attentive and friendly. We had the fish and chips and steak & ale pie. Cozy, traditional pub atmosphere. Great location near Westminster, if you are out sightseeing and want to stop for a beer and food.

Stopped in for a bite of lunch. The pub at first look is a "standard" London pub, but a bit brighter inside. All food and drinks are ordered at the bar. The food was prepared and quickly delivered. The staff was friendly and easy going. The bar tender (manager?) was very knowledgeable about the large selection of beers and was spot on with his recommendation based on my tastes. The fish and chips was an enormous piece of cod and well prepared chips, very tasty! I would definitely go there again.

Ended up here two nights in a row on our trip from the US. Busy as it is with the regulars and sports fans, the service was excellent. Food was delicious and priced within reason. (We got a burger and tried the whitebait.)

The pub was great: even at Friday nights rush hour is was vacant to drink outside. Prices are the same as at every other pub in London City centre. Toilets are clean even for #2.

Full of wonderful civil servants and serves the best ale in the area. Highly recommend the Whitstable Bay. Beware of the busy road and buses if you are drinking outside.

They got rid of Asahi on draft and instead now have crappy San Miguel. Even the bartenders are mystified as to why as Asahi was incredibly popular. Another pub I will no longer visit. The staff is still great.

To be honest the food is ok and its the best boozer on Horseferry Road. No thrills just a decent pint and substantial food. Dont expect michelin starred grub, beer is fine, staff are very friendly. Come here quite often for all of these reasons.

We ordered Fish end chips 4 times but found there was only one portion. And it was around 16. We chose burgers, they were OK. Prices also OK. It is worth improving the supply and it will be excellent. (Original) Miejsce ładne, czyste i zadbane. Obsługa uprzejma. Czas oczekiwania na zamówienie, moim zdaniem zbyt długi - około 40 minut. Wybór dań skromny. Zamówiliśmy 4 razy Fish end chips ale okazało się, że jest tylko jedna porcja. A było ok. godz. 16. Wybraliśmy burgery, były OK. Ceny również OK. Warto poprawić zaopatrzenie i będzie excellent.
