M. R.We were here last week and it's a lovely space - an old pub which has been done up very tastefully. The landlord was welcoming and suggested we take a table by the radiator and i was offered a taste of the wine prior to ordering. We only went in for one drink but were immediately made to feel welcome and wanted, unlike our experience in the next pub a few hundred yards down the Broadway.

Very welcoming staff behind the bar. And they hard proper brandy. Met Criss Yubank outside he was at the Natwest Bank next door

P. S.A traditional pub with friendly and efficient staff. A good range of beers (Razor Back was a delicious light beer 3.8%) and lagers. The pub has well spaced out tables, inside and out, and followed social distancing rules, so it felt both safe and friendly.
s.Good atmosphere. Nice little garden out the the back. Proper glasses to drink from, even on match days. The only thing that spoils it is the landlady. She's a really horrible woman. Very unpleasant & verbally aggressive to customers! Shouldn't work with the public atall! Never smiles & to say she's unfriendly is an understatement. If it was a brewery owned pub I would report her tbh!

S.Popped into this pub after some dinner at Westfield. Lovely barman served me the most delicious grapefruit gin served with fresh grapefruit. Totally delicious. Such friendly staff - would highly recommend this great pub.

m. n.Cannot write a proper review in this conditions, would not be a fair one, cos everyone on the edge with the rules etc etc!! So it was ok the first 15 minutes, but of course, been a pub on the Friday and a group of about 16 of us that work together, all mannered following the rules but that normally was getting louder (a normal thing in normal times), the owner started to freak out a bit, so me and my m8 left just after 1
Pint, so 3 🌟 out of 5 because cannot do 2 and half. Waiting a bit anxious for some normality were on a Friday afternoon we can drink some pints with work m8's, friends and family and been able to talk loudly and laugh even louder!! Thanks for the service 👍😀🙏🥂

I visit the Olympic Park from Southampton quite regularly to watch gigs and we always visit Ye Olde Black Bull before the event, its only a short walk away.

L. C.If I could I would rate this 10 stars! By far the friendliest bartender we've had on our trip so far. He was so helpful giving us directions and recommendations. Even gave us some sun block because we forgot to put any on.

K. S.I was in stratford for a couple of nights and was looking for a clean and comfortable pub. Well I found one in the shape of Ye Olde Black Bull. When I went in alone on Monday night I got chatting to the people behind the bar, Alex and a young lady. they were very freuindly and welcoming and the pub felt the same. Great ale that was served well and kept well. I took a mate the following night and had the same treatment. Great friendly place with well kept ale. Loved it.
K. S.Nice clean Irish-run pub on the main road just off the heart of Stratford. Friendly staff and the Guinness was good, although a little pricey. Only one real ale , St Austell Tribute, when I was there.
