Reviews of The Cellars Alehouse

You’d think that an underground bar set amongst plumbers merchants and the like might lack soul and character. However you’d be wrong. I loved the vibe - dark, cool and cozy. It reminded me of the kind of bar you find off the beaten track abroad. A hidden gem. Definitely unique in Maidstone and worth a visit - great for those who appreciate good conversation and good beer in a relaxed environment.

Love this Maidstone Micro Pub. Lovely atmosphere with plenty of space. Good selection of many ales including sour ales. Ciders too with snacks available. Great prices too. Within walking distance of town. What's not to like. They even ask what you like and recommend what's good for you. Worth a visit. Chilled micro pub and great place to hang with friends and talk!

1st timer in the Alehouse. Good strong beer on offer that the regulars were happy to recommend. Really good atmosphere and great friendly vibe.

Absolute gem of a pub. Always a good selection on, great atmosphere, plenty of seating. Contender for the best pub in Maidstone.

A hidden little gem this, definitely worth checking it out, the ciders are excellent especially if you like your cider still and strong 👍

Lovely underground pub. Seats are comfy, beer is good, staff are great, no loud music, just quality drink and conversation.
On the number of occasions I've been there it's been very quiet (not a complaint). I look forward to visiting when it is heaving!

Proper pub/alehouse. Super welcoming, nice atmosphere. Really nice mix of clientele, young and older. Service was exceptional with a formidable selection of proper beers and ciders. They seem to hand pick the best local drinks and serve at a good price, all my favorites from Kent were on tap. Wife and I had an excellent time, we'll be back soon. Thanks for a terrific time!

Great find! (Even if it confuses Google maps to no end in the car). Amazing offers of cask, keg and cider. Local ales on offer. Friendly staff. Cosy underground setting with woodwork benches. Real nice.

Maidstone Little gem. Friendly staff, good selection of beers and ciders. Always something interesting on the tap. Cash or card no problem. Friendly atmosphere, no fights. There is no TV so good for conversations with friends. You might struggle with a phone signal there so you are not distracted.
