I have been to Boundary Stone before a few years back. Remembered it being very pleasant, but the menu seemed better this time round. They have built out a bit too - not just indoors near the pub, but an outdoor airier section with a poole table. This was a roudy place being a Friday night so we found a table indoors. Very cosy. Although they warned us there was a delay on food orders of up to 45 minutes, the delay was well worth the taste of the food. We each ordered different things - chicken tikka with rice, papadom and naan bread; battered fish chips and mushy peas; vegan dish and more. And we also ordered desserts. My word - the desserts can make a meal in themselves! It was a busy night indeed, but we enjoyed their food very much. Would go back

Lovely place to go, very nice atmosphere. The seating outside is lovely, in the sun it feels like you are on holiday with the roof open. The food is lovely too, I had the ultimate chicken burger. I've been back twice since. Food and service was great on all occasions. I'll definitely be returning!

I recently visited this pub for a works Christmas party. The manager was very helpful in our requests and his team did an amazing job on preparing, serving and cleaning our tables throughout our visit. The Christmas menu was basic but tasty and the desserts are delightful. I can only hope their work team has a great Christmas party just like we did!!

Excellent food and service yet again. My family (6 of us) all enjoyed our visit immensely. My only gripe is; I was so looking forward to having the Inferno Chicken again but sadly its de-listed from the menu. I had the Mega Mixed Grill instead (beautiful) but if any Inferno sauce still exists then I'll buy it.

Went to the Boundary Stone for a family meal on Thursday 10/11/2022 it was our first time and already booked for next week. Food was very tasty and well presented we all enjoyed our meals. All the staff was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend very cosy.

What an absolutely fabulous little boozer, staff are all so lovley and the pub is so clean! It gives “family run buisness” vibes even tho I know it’s a marstons, was only planning on having 1 on a passing dog walk but we ended up having a few and a snack, the food was so nice, well prepped and perfect temperature - even the pooch agreed, staff are so caring making sure we had water for the dog. And couldn’t of asked for a better experience myself.

For the first time in many years revisited for a funeral wake and the place has changed somewhat. Like so many other venues in this day and age it tries to be more than just a pub. So there's TV's on literally every wall, a 'workers' bar area and covered outside seating area which, in fairness, I thought was very good. Fake grass on the floor but plenty of heaters keeping the space warm and cosy. I have to say the buffet food that was served was excellent. It may be sometime before I go back but would suggest you give a try yourself.

A lot better than it used to be but I really liked the outside beer garden that has now been covered up unfortunately. Food was nice but not huge portions which I prefer. Was once thrown out for being a Bolton fan in the early nineties amongst a sea of Man city fans!

Weve just had a lovely meal here at The Boundary Stone of Sausage ,mash, peas n gravy and a Hunters Chicken with salad and chips and then a sweet of a chocolate fudge cake and ice-cream. Visited for the first time yesterday. In a lovely setting (took a walk along the nearby stream after lunch) and I can't praise the professionalism of the staff enough. Dave (our server) was rushing around manning the doors, admitting customers and taking table orders all at lightning speed without keeping anyone waiting. First class service from hardworking staff, very reasonably priced, and good quality food. I'd recommend - would come again.

Just a homely feeling, and just love the space in the cottage aswell. We always pick the cherry cottage as it has nice veiws at the back facing the fields were the cows are. Although theirs always seems to just the two of us staying their their enough room for extra two people. Theirs lovely seating areas outside aswell, although it wasnt great wheather when we went in august you still had the lights that turned on outside when it was dark that made it special.

No faults.for our main we had the £6.00 steak, (we had the sirloin 8oz medium rare)thursday offer,one with a jacket potato and one with chips and peppercorn sauce. I was trying to plan a last minute birthday meal for my sisters 16th birthday, I called Boundary Stone at very short notice (5 days before) to ask if they could do anything for 14 people and they were absolutely amazing! They let us use the function room so it was very private and it was so beautiful and modern! Staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the food was beautiful! But be aware, just because you think you are seeing double when you see 2 barmen standing there, it isnt because you have had too much to drink, they are twins who have their hair and beard styled the same they both also have tattoos but they are not entirely the same lol.

Main TV area is partitioned from main eating area keeping noise away whilst eating your meal. Large, modern, sheltered decking area with retractable roof and glass walls. Grab the lunchtime deal before 3pm and get 3 courses and a drink for less than £10 or 2 courses without a drink for not much more than £5

Looks wise its lovely and rhe staff are really nice but the food wasn't great. We had christmas dinner here and the wrong starters were brought out and the prawns weren't completely defrosted. The mains were worse! No roast potatoes on one meal and only two small ones on the others. The turkey was full of veins and would of been nice despite this as it wasn't dry at all. The best bit was the deserts!! They were to die for and could not be faulted. They made up for the reat of the meal. Felt really sorry for the waitress as she had to deal with the complaints and took the flack even though it wasnt her fault. She rectified any complaints we had and was really professional throughout the meal. She was only a young girl but a credit to The Boundary Stone. Would I go back? Yes, as it was a very busy evening and I wouldn't just write a place off after one night as everywhere has an off day especially at a really busy period of the year.

Only the food gave the venue three stars. The pub needed maintenance. The toilets were in disrepair, I.e. holes punched in the wall, no lock on one cubicle with the towel dispenser ripped off and placed on the shelf. Compared to the Three Lights in Fleetwood very disappointing. Marsdens you can do better!
