Reviews of Café Beermoth | Craft Beer Bar
A. L.
Great spot to try a few from the selection of 17 craft beers on tap.
Our cheese and meat sharing platter was a great pairing with the beers!
L. B.
Good selection. Stylish place. Great service. Definitely a craft beer destination.
L. L.
Visited Beermoth during a lunchtime. Beer good & a wide range to select from. When I visited there were only 4 people in during normally a very busy time. We must get out and visit places such as Beermouth, once they have had to close due to economics they may not return. Manchester City Centre will be the poorer for it...
S. C.
This was my first time visiting and although the atmosphere, service and cleanliness was all great, I feel the range of beers available can be a little intimidating for a first timer. I would recommend staff took an extra minute or two to speak to customers about their likes etc and then possibly recommend. Although I understand this won't always be possible during busy periods.
h.
Super chilled bar with 20+ taps and a bottle selection that’ll take your breath away
R. P.
Beermoth is a regular visit for me when in Manchester - always has a great selection of ales to choose from, very friendly & helpful staff too... my wife isn't a massive ale drinker but they had no problem letting her try a few samples till she found one she liked!
A definite "Oh go on then, just 1 more" place for me! :)
A. C.
Excellent selection of interesting beers at a calming oasis just off Market Street.
Super chilled, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere for post work or weekend drinks.
M. U.
Fantastic selection or craft ales, something to suit everybody! Great booth seating area available! The beer in the photo is a 13% abv, Cuvée Delphine cask strength Imperial Stout, from The De Struise Brouwers. Not for the faint hearted and 1/3rd glass was sufficient.
K. K.
Best pub in Manchester and maybe one of the best in England. Incredible beer menu with a lot of beers from all over the world include rare beers!
M. L.
Been here twice, once on a Monday evening in January 2018 when it was quite quiet, still with about 10 or so customers. I had the mixed meat & cheese board and it was very good. The beer though is top quality and a very wide choice. Bar people know their stuff. The other time was a Wednesday last March and it was packed. Quite a youngish crowd. I just had a couple of beers that time. On my own staying over on business, reading my book. Luckily they have a high bench running down the centre so you can always squeeze in somewhere. Very good place. I recommend it. They do off-sales of some very interesting looking beers but I didn’t take up the offer. Maybe next time!
P. L.
My favourite beer place in Manchester. Great beer and staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. A must visit if you love craft beers in a relaxed atmosphere.
P. C.
Amazing place, with a big collection of craft beer on tap, and bottle and can. The space is very welcoming, comfortable, good music, and the staff is very nice! Hope to visit soon!
G.
Great selection of beers, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Really decent bar.
B. E.
Stunning looking bar, exceptionally well done.
Great range of cask and keg beers that are constantly changing.
However it's the bottle cellar menu that's the killer, it's simply incredible.
Some serious beers are available including quite rare and unusual bottles from the USA and Europe.
Bar snacks are available, be warned though you get a small mountain of peanuts.
S. C.
So if you enjoy Beermoth the shops selection, here's where you can get them on tap! Nice chilled atmosphere, and if you like stouts and dark beers, you'll be right at home!
D. S.
Love this place, always call in when we are in Manchester. Good atmosphere, lots of beer to choose from, nice coffee too.
L. A.
The staff were very friendly! The beers were very nice and the atmosphere makes the place seem very classy and upbeat, the lighting is dimmed nicely and this would be a great place to bring a friend. There is some really nice smooth jazz in the background and I feel like I could easily spend a good few hours here. We had the cheap bottled beer/cider, they give glasses to go with them.
J. M.
Came with high hopes and left dramatically underwhelmed. Staff seemed disinterested in beer. The bottle selection was crazily expensive and the menu didn't reflect the stock. The draft selection while decent was very poorly labelled so hard to know what you were getting.
E. P.
Good selection of beer with friendly staff. Food options were limited but the bar snacks we had were nice.
G. K.
Excellent beer, kept excellently. Was fairly quiet when I visited, service was good...just please put some cushions on those hard seats!
S. W.
Nice beers. Always something else on. Friendly staff. Chill music. One quite room upstairs if you prefer and back garden open when nice weather.
K. M.
Nice bar with plenty of booths and a good selection of craft beers. Their online menu doesn't provide much information about the beers which makes choosing difficult. Their untapped listing is out of date which is unhelpful.
G. P.
Awesome place, great beer selection. Only wish we had a place like this in Oxford!
E. W.
Such a wide variety of beers/casks, lovely selections and friendly staff
P. S.
Nice decor and phenomenal beer set. But way too many staff - who don't seem nearly as interested in customers as they are with each other.
Also, meat and cheese board was pretty light on the cheese. For £14.50 I do expect more than an airplane portion.
G. W.
This is a nice bar with good décor and a good selection of very nice beer. It is more expensive than some places but good quality costs. I have found the staff to be ok and the place to be comfortable. I like that they have hops decorating above the bar.
O. G.
Cafe Beermoth is easily one of the best bars in Manchester. There’s usually enough variety on the taps to satisfy the most discerning drinker and the bar staff are knowledgeable enough to guide the novices among us. The bottle selection is simply exceptional.
R. S.
One of the best places for craft beer in Manchester. A wide range of beers on keg, cask and bottle. Really knowledgeable staff, lovely interior that is a mixture of cosy and modern styles. A must stop on the Manchester ale trail.
T. B.
Great bar. Great beer that is made onsite. And best of all well priced for the centre of Manchester!
S.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff great selection of beers.
z. p.
I adore this place you cant go wrong for choice and the staff knowledge is amazing if you are stuck just ask and they can find something to suit your taste.
K. P.
Nice bar, friendly staff and a large selection of beers. You can get wine and cider here too, I didn't realise, and some bottled beers. But it's mostly known for the ever changing casks.
Don't get the crisps from the bar though, they're not nice. Beer goes better with nuts anyway! :)
There's no parking nearby that I'm aware of so get the tram in, market street is only round the corner.
P. D.
17 beers on tap, a lot of them cask. A generous bottle menu. Wines and snacks are also available.
M. L.
Has the best beer selection in town in my opinion!
H. C.
Great choices of beers (inc. non-alcoholic options!) Quite busy but if you can get a seat it is the perfect place to spend a weekend afternoon 😊
S. B.
Always a great range of beers and very knowledgeable staff on hand to advise.
S. M.
Always excellent. Popped in pre-xmas shopping to settle the nerves. Great range of beers on tap and knowledgeable bar staff.
One beer easily became two...
J. D.
I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that they sell cask beer as well as keg. It then changed from being OK, to being a pretty exciting venue, purely due to the range.
P. D.
Has excellent range of beer at a price you need to save up for.
J. M.
Great beer with a great selection, great guys working, everything is cool)
M. M.
They are the best at what they do in Manchester. Beer is always on top form, and well selected. Come for quality over quantity. Or maybe quality and quantity...
J. S.
Managed to get in just after opening for a quick drink. Beermoth was brilliant as always with great new beers on tap. Will always highly recommend this place and visit whenever I get the chance.
Amazing beer stop.
k. s.
Place is great! Friendly staff can't remember their name but it was an absolute quality experience
J. C.
Used to be a favourite in Manchester but on this visit not much choice of ales and quite expensive for 2/3 lacked the old atmosphere so left after one
S. P.
Great selection of beers and plenty of seating.
A. G.
Comfy little bar in Manchester centre, good choice of keg and cask ales
S. R.
Great real ale. Brilliantly placed near shops. Beers changed frequently. Stylish.
m. h.
I very rarely find a place with this much selection, if you like your beers and fancy a try of something different, get yourself here for a bit of beer bottle shopping. Top up for the weekend perhaps.
C.
We always enjoy a trip to Beermoth, the beer selection is ever changing and the staff are tremendously helpful when my boyfriend is looking for yet another hoppy beverage.
K. S.
Love this place, always lovely staff and great atmosphere. They constantly get in a varied and interesting selection of beers from around the world. The chill vibe of this place is so much more inviting than most craft beer places in MCR so perfect for casual drinking after a hard days work. 🍺🙂
J. E.
Very good selection with a broad variety of beer
P. S.
Loved it, lots of choices and bar staff were very informative and helpful
G. S.
Love this bar. Fantastic beer fueled oasis in the very busy shopping district of Manchester. Always a fab range on tap
J.
Fantastic craft beer selection! Something for everyone.
C. P.
Cracking bar with a wonderful selection of beers. Lovely knowledge staff, and it's my first indoor pint since lockdown began. I'm very happy.
M. F.
Wow they are so proud of their beer the barrels are on display behind a glass screen. And rightly so, they have a great variety and the staff can advise you and provide samples.
The atmosphere in there is great - the tables are quite narrow so it's easy to chat with your friends. The place looks quite modern however don't let this put you off, it's a great place to enjoy beer with friends.
T. B.
Great place to sample a good selection of beer.
C. C.
Amazingt bar, one of my favourites. Better in winter than summer as outside space is limited and it's shady. Grab a booth and a sharing platter on a Sunday though for an amazing time. Often have food pop-ups as well. Great beer selection, no two days the same. Could do with a little description of types of beers as it's hard to tell, but staff are friendly and knowledgeable if you ask and not afraid to let you try.
I. W.
Beers are pretty good. Great takeovers. The room has a weird setup though, strange sort of atmosphere. Maybe because it's larger than a lot of other specialist beer places? Toilets had been hammered by some scruffs.
R.
Great beers and great atmosphere. 100s of beers to choose from. Definitely a place to visit.
J. M.
Friendly staff, great beer, great atmosphere
Z. K.
Great selection of craft beers, really cool place to meet
A. E.
It's a nice place with a warm atmosphere, despite getting very busy during peak bar hours. It definitely is best for those into craft beers etc, so much so that the bar staff even seem somewhat perplexed if you ask for a glass of wine. Nevertheless, it's still a thoroughly enjoyable establishment, even for a wine drinker.
I. V.
Large modern pub, very large seating area on one level, large bar counter selling cask and keg beer's and bottles from around the world normal price for drinks in Manchester around £5 plus, very clean, 👍
S. D.
Really good atmosphere first time in xx
A. A.
First time going out for an evening drink in Manchester city centre last night and we chose Café Beermoth as our venue. Hand sanitiser on entry and dotted about the place. You're given a paper menu on arrival and asked whether you'd booked or not but luckily it's a large place so there were walk-in tables available.
Orders are taken at the table and brought over to you and the staff are friendly and accommodating. They've sectioned off the toilets but being a Thursday evening it was fairly quiet and no one was having to queue.
The selection of beers is not quite as vast as in the before time but there was still a great selection to choose from. We had a top evening and will be visiting again. Thank you Beermoth!
J. F.
Great collection of beers in nice surroundings.
R. B.
Nice beer friendly staff, the benches could do with some cushions though very hard to sit for a few hours.
L. F.
Always incredible here. A little pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of service and an absolutely phenomenal choice of quality beers.
W. J.
Bit weird with all the covert-19 masks.
Fortunately had a fun table server with a sparkly personality.
Some good beers.
Antithesis of a pub atmosphere - more like Mars in space suits.
Is this the future?
S. A.
Fantastic. Great selection of craft ales, nice simple contemporary decor. Great prices.
M. P.
Great venue, great beers and great staff.
My only gripe is the lack of information on the beers. They don't display pump clips (which in my opinion is a shame), but I understand their reasoning of letting the beers speak for themselves, however the boards don't tell you anything about the beer apart from Brewery, Strength and name.
It's fine to ask staff about each one but when it's busy, it's the last thing you want to do.
M. M.
Nice large centrally located craft beer bar. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff. Well decorated rustic interior with a large selection of keg beers. Snacks and light bites available.
J. H.
My wife and I called in for a drink one afternoon to escape the Christmas markets. It is a large well-presented bar, where you can be comfortable and relax. They have a huge range of craft beers. The staff were knowledgeable to explain what is on the menu and help make the right selection. Definitely would recommend a visit, especially if you enjoy craft beers.
D. B.
Stumbled on this hidden gem!
Great selection of beers from around the world.
With each beer sitting 3/4 deep, there are really helpful staff to show you through what could be quite an intimidating selection.
From the occasional drinker to the person picking up something new every week.....this is a beer lovers dream! Enjoy!
G. S.
Great bar great beer choice and fab knowledgeable staff!
A.
Really nice bar with a good atmosphere. Bar staff were really helpful in suggesting beers based on what we like. Also have a good selection of drinks for non-beer drinkers.
M. L.
One of the better options if you are with a wider variety of folks or like tasting different beers. Some of the Bavarian ones are quite nice, and the ones on the tap are recommended by far than the bottled ones. Unusual offerings and wider than expected range of whiskeys also. Place is crowded usually. Noise levels go quite high on the ground floor, so grabbing a table on the first floor is probably nicer. Wouldn't call it too expensive compared to the other ones around, but isn't a pub grade cheap either.
D. H.
Great selection of beers and an amazing atmosphere. Would also strongly recommend coming here for a coffee to get some work done one afternoon when it's quiet. All the booths have sockets and they generally play good background noise music.
M. M.
Excellent array of beers, knowledgeable staff and relaxing environment
P. C.
Good selection of first class beers
J. W.
Fantastic craft beer pub just off Market Street (main shopping area in town) serving unusual selections of IPA, lagers and ale's at around £5 per pint.
Limited food here, simple cheese boards are served but that's about it. It's normally extremely busy weekends and Friday from 6pm.
H. Y.
Usually excellent. Last time beer range was poor. Hopefully a temporary blip.
G. P.
A great selection of craft beers and ales. Some of them are a little expensive as are most craft types.
The bar was comfortable, not too loud, staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the ales.
Will be coming here again
J. W.
Possibly the most consistently awesome beer selection in MCR. Chilled, airy and comfortable to hang out in.
P. E.
Usually a wide selection of beer on offer, however for me a few too many in the higher alcohol range, it doesn't offer too many session type beers.
Nice wide open room with a decent atmosphere, and doesn't seem to attract the noisy rowdy types too often
H. J. F.
The beer selection is of course fantastic, and it's brilliantly located - a little refuge from the crowds of Market St. There are also good cider and wine options which is so often lacking in these sorts of places. The interior is a bit soulless, but who's looking?!
A. N.
Brilliant city centre bar, carefully balancing trendy craft beer bar with cosy bolt hole. Prices are typical for craft ale, not cheap, but not excessive. Will definitely visit again.
C. D.
Always visit here when i come to town. Love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and excellent beer of course.
M. S.
Always an incredible range of beers, fine atmosphere ,very friendly and helpful staff, and all in a great space. There are a few superb craft beer specialist bars in Manchester but this is one of the best..
R. C.
Great beer, knowledgeable staff,great atmosphere.
M. W.
Amazing selection of UK and world beer. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Some great events on as well in their cellar space from time to time - meet the bottle, gaming nights, curated tastings etc. The beating heart of the Mcr beer scene it seems. Cheers!
S. G.
This is a proper destination bar. It's worth coming to Manchester, a city too full of chain bars and restaurants, to visit the great Beermoth.
It's not the place to come if you want Fosters for £3 (there's probably a 'Spoon's nearby), but if you want an interesting and unusual craft beer this is the place. Beards and tattoos optional.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They even remembered my last beer and recommended my next.
And the boards - cheese, fish or meat. Or cheese and meat. From Lunya (great Spanish tapas bar and deli, from Liverpool and now Manchester too) and amazing value. I guess they mean you'll stay for another beer.
Best bar I've found in this city.
R. M.
A fine beer selection with craft beers from all over the world. I can't really pick fault with it. The staff are really helpful and happy to take you around the shop dishing out advice on matching beer and food, etc. A fridge with chilled tins for a cheeky IPA on the go and they even sell the odd craft ale in crates to get a bit of a better deal.
C. P.
Relaxed & plenty of beer to choose from! They change the beers available regularly throughout the day as they run out, so you'll never be left asking for more. Beers are either brewed on-site or guest ales from local or international breweries are offered. Great selection from ~3.5% to 9% served by the pint or half.
K. P.
What's not to love about a place dedicated to beer? There's a drink to satisfy everyones tastes and wallets and you can try before you buy.
Staff are helpful and friendly and the toilets are clean.
I think I could happily live here.
N. B.
I do like this bar. Very spacious with spectacular variety of beers available. Located in centre of Manchester city centre. Bar staff do know their stuff & samples can be tried prior to buying that pint.
N. L.
Interesting bar situated in the Manchester back Streets not far from the main Post Office. Massive range of cask and keg ales of varying strengths sold as 1/3's, 1/2's or pints.
If you are a beer drinker well worth finding. Plenty of choice for non beer drinkers and lots of space over two floors to enjoy the drinks on offer. Staff were great and well worth a return visit where I am sure I can improve the eating yet further.
K. S.
Super range of excellent real ale (multiple breweries)
C. A.
A great selection of beer that's constantly updating and changing. If you're overwhelmed by choice, the staff will happily recommend some beers based on your tastes. The beer is a bit pricey but you're paying for the quality.
P. R.
Lovely atmosphere and very good choice of beverages on the tap and even more choice on the bottle. Nice areas to sit in. Not too busy either which is good. Staff are very good. Have frequented the shop for a while and the excellent service continues. Wishing them success
M. C.
Great beers on tap, and a lovely atmosphere to sit and chat with friends. Even to it’s right in the middle it’s still a bearable crowd on a Friday night. If you’re hungry they do good cheese-boards and meat-boards.
S. T.
Huge choice of draught Ales & Craft & an even better choice of high quality bottled World Beers which are accessed by staff into a walk in, temperature controlled chiller room - all behind glass. Looks great.
Reasonable prices & set in minimalist, trendy bar.
J. D.
Excellent English and foreign choice of strong beer (including Belgian beer) and great staff who are polite, well spoken and just really nice people. This is my official local now (5 km away from where I live!!) - just a pity that pubs like this are not more prevalent outside the city center.
E. S.
Very friendly staff and cheap in my opinion. I had 2 1/2 pints worth of thuggers worth of beers for around 10 quid. Goos selection of beers and Rachel was extremely helpful in helping me pick out and explaining the beers. On top, the place is quiet
J. E.
Great customer service brilliant range of ipas and real ales from all around the world. Best pub in Manchester
P. B.
Chilled out space, a lot more relaxed than your average bar. This place is for people who are serious about their beer and the different methods used in making it. Not cheap but excellent selection and good service.
S. T.
Excellent choice of beers. 😀
T. M.
Let's face it it's not a cafe its a bar and a really good one. Serves a great ever-changing selection of ale and a huge selection of bottles. Staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is always great and it has the standard hipstery look to it.
A. H.
Great selection of lagers and ales but with limited selection of ciders. Prices are quite steep but I guess that's the price of sourcing good beer and city centre location. The atmosphere is lively and the decor is sophisticated and modern, if a little dark for daytime drinking.
M. W.
Coffee and beer! Really nice place, the seats in the booths need work
A. J.
This place is great for any beer lover. They've always got a fantastic selection on tap - be it lager, saison, porter or ipa. Atmosphere is great, decor is modern but not pretentious, and the staff are always super friendly & helpful. Only downsides are that it's a little pricy (similar prices to equivalent quality beer houses in London), and that it can get pretty busy after work / on Saturdays.
S. A.
Excellent service and fully compliant with COVID regulations. Plus had my favourite beer on tap on my birthday of all days. If I could give 6 stars I would
R. W.
Amazing. Beer moth bottle shop was where it all started and then the bar opened and oh my what a treat! Big shout out to Jefferson (goes by Jay), an absolutely amazing bar tender. Amazing knowledge of the beers, great customer service and an all round nice guy. Fantastic.
T. B.
Great spot for craft beer. Plenty of rare and imported beers meaning it's not the cheapest but we'll worth it for trying more obscure beers. 20 ish taps/cask and decent staff.
D. H.
This place was fantastic. They have alot of wonderful Belgian style beer at the bar and offer a great little cheese platter that went down well with the beer. The inside of the premises is really nicely decorated and it felt very down to earth. The prices were reasonable and the staff were great too.
P. F.
A good choice of real ales and craft beer. Friendly knowledgeable staff who alow you taste the draft beer before you buy. Don't expect to get Fosters,Carling or Stella, they don't sell the common mass produced beers here!
Q. P.
One of the best bar in Manchester to find different beers, good choice and always change
P.
One of the best places to drink in Manchester.
D. F.
If you like your beer, this place is great. Some real tasty treats on offer, with over ten taps, however if you want to keep your evening session (below 4.5%) then look elsewhere.
S. W.
Nice place, great to be able to see all the different bottles from around the world. Helpful bar staff that recommend drinks to you and allow you to taste first if you're not sure! Prices vary greatly depending on what you want so you can spend a little or a lot, depending on what you fancy. Not too busy when I visited on a Saturday night but it can be.
H. M.
Great selection of beer! Staff don't mind you asking for a sample. There is also some great snack to buy and nibble on if you like spicy things
J. H.
Went here on Friday and it was fantastic. The service was quick, the staff were lovely (Sofia especially), the atmosphere was friendly and although the music was a bit loud it was not anything near as loud as some places. Turn the volume down a little and you can enjoy the vast collection of fine craft beers for many an hour!
G. H.
Great beer selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff
b. h.
Vast selection of beers from all corners of the world, to categorise the place as an off-license seems to belittle it some how. Scott and Jeremy are some of the nicest and knowledgeable chaps you could ever meet in regard to hops, malts, brewing and beer. Anyone who partakes of the occasional scoop will not leave disappointed.
D. W.
Always a great selection of beer. A must stop for any beer fan
T. L.
Been here a couple of times now and the selection of beers/ales/stouts etc is impressive. It's also not bad on price but don't be expecting Wetherspoons prices.
J. B.
Amazing beer, vibes, friendly staff
H. R.
Great place to meet up. Great beer selection with knowledgeable staff. I did notice some of the seating in the booths is looking a bit tired but that's probably because so many people have been in!
L. W.
This is a fab, modern, continental style bar that does an amazing selection of cask and keg. Tonight was a brewery takeover (very good) but normally a wide choice of breweries and styles. Highly recommended.
S. B.
Came for a few drinks after work with friends, managed to get a nice booth seat and we were able to chat to each other with ease, wasn't too loud and had a nice relaxed atmosphere even for a Saturday night. No prosecco but they had gin so I survived 😂
T. B.
Very pleasant place for a drink. Clearly aimed at the beer connoisseur, but not snobby / elitist. A broad spectrum of different beers on offer, well worth a look, even if, like me, you're not a beer afficionado and just like drinking the stuff.
S. M.
Workers are always nice here and have special beers on tap.
N. V.
Lovely place, nice atmosphere but a bit expensive.
S. B.
Superb addition to Manchester, nicely placed as well between bars where you can get a good pint. A good selection of interesting cask and keg beers, with an extensive bottle menu, ciders etc. A large, comfortable space to enjoy your drink as well.
J. B.
Great range of beers. Staff know the beers well and made some awesome recommendations. Busy but in a good way. Would definitely go back
E. Y.
Russian Stout from Brazil
J. G.
Amazing selection of independent beers from local and international breweries, staff are more than willing to give advice and have a wealth of knowledge to make sure you get a beer of your taste!
Top work guys, keep it up!
T. H.
This is just the best ales, served by experts in a superb bar, I would definitely recommend it and return sooner rather than later
D. E.
Fantastic selection of beers served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. I went with a number of friends and everyone enjoyed it. Looking forward to another visit.
B. L.
One of the best beer bars, you could ever find.
C. c.
Fantastic Craft Beer shop with a large selection of US, Belgian, Scandinavian, UK and other European beers. Jeremy and Scott who work there are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in finding beers you might like. A real treat!
K. B.
Nice place with decent atmosphere...it's an ale place as the name suggests..they have a 1 bottles lager for those not into their ales.
Pricing isn't the norm here so be careful what you're buying as it ranges from pint to 2/3rds to 1/2 pint and quoted prices aren't consistently against just one of these measures. One of the ales can cost over £5 for example but price is quoted against 2/3rds pint at £3 ish. Just make sure you read the prices properly.
Food is available but I've not sampled it to date.
All in all a nice place with friendly staff and plenty of ales on offer.
E. B.
Great selection, but I wish they would label the types of beer beyond just the brewery and beer name. Would save the trouble of always asking if they have a sour or IPA or whatever else on tap!
E. F.
The most craft beer per square metre in Manchester. A really well curated selection of UK & especially local Northern brewed beers, stateside staples from Brooklyn, Rogue and Nevada (just a small example), plus plenty more unusual and ever-changing selections from across Europe and Asia too. Really knowledgeable and friendly guys at the helm of the shop. You can spend £10 and grab 3-4 really great bottles to last the weekend, or if money is no object, there are some rarer and crazier selections to be had, especially in the cask aged or tripels area.
L. T.
Best selection and best prices. Beer heaven. Great service and killer bar snacks. Ample seating. Music in the background rather than blaring. Number one in the city centre for quiet quality beer.
J. L.
Fantastic selection of beer of course, very helpful staff. I entered with steamed up glasses, and bam! A member of staff passes me a cloth to wipe them with. That's simple yet memorable customer service
M. F.
I imagined, from what I was told by my friends that this would be one of the finest ale experiences I've had. I was wrong. It was much better than that. Due to the Christmas Street market starting that day, it was unusually busy but still had a wonderful time.
M. A.
Very nice, modern bar. Lots of beer on tap. It would be good if an indication was provided on the beer names sheet of what type each beer is, and strength. Thankfully the beers I picked by name were my cup of tea!
G. I.
Love this bar. It's always worth a visit when I'm in Manchester
I. W.
I could come here every day! What a place and what a great selection of beer
j. J.
Very good. Large! Choice of locally and British brewed beers/ lovely interior. Decent bar staff and decent for policy. Recommended!
M. L.
Stopped by one evening and was greatly impressed. Fantastic selection of top quality beer; friendly knowledgeable staff; and a fun modern atmosphere. Will be returning every time I get back to Manchester!
L. W.
One of my favourite places to go in town. Always a good and varied selection of ales, and staff are very helpful, offering advice and tastes to find a drink which suits.
V. B.
Loved it, best range I've seen and knowledgeable staff
E. A.
A real nice relaxing environment with a good selection of beers.
S. C. A.
Á very good place to drink a good beer on Manchester. We loved the sour thar we've taste and the IPA DDH.
L. R.
Great place that does 17 different draught beers weekly. Has a choice of meat of cheese boards for food. This place is definitely worth a visit if you like your beers.
A. T.
Great beer selection, great service. Bar feels a little like a German beer hall atmosphere. Good place for a pint, don't bother with Albert Schloss
C. L.
Easy going atmosphere, excellent choice of beers and good service. A great place to meet up for a drink before the main event, can't wait to go again.
D. J.
Being such a big fan of the original beermoth (off licence/Ale shop), I was very disappointed at the lack of character here. Scaffold on the ceiling, wood or the floor. Yawn, we've seen it all before. Packed to the rafters most nights with hipsters. Can't move or sit down for check shirts and undercuts. The whiff of beard oil fills the air.
Plus side? Excellent beers, as to be expected. At very reasonable prices. Food looked tasty, too.
I had been hoping for a cosy cafe filled with weird art and eccentric characters. Got cheap beers and only a few minutes walk from better pubs.
M. G.
This is a place that really cares about ale and hops, so expect to see people holding their pints up and looking at their beer admiringly. A nice place to drink, and really lovely, knowledgeable staff.
T. H.
Superb selection of beers from around the world. Everyone should experience this place. Quiet enough for a chat but with a great atmosphere.
S. W.
Always a decent and variable selection of beers, cask and keg.
F. R.
Went for the Zwanze event. It was extremely well handled and the staff were great. All well organised, on the ball and I felt so comfortable due to the diligent measures to keep people safe
A. B.
Really like this venue. A very good selection of beers and staff who know their beers make this place stand out. Also on the industrial chic bandwagon but no bad thing and the music in the venue is pretty cool.
M.
Large modern bar with lots of real ale and craft beers. Popular with a younger crowd who can afford trendy beer pricing.
C. G.
Very impressed with the large range and quality of the beers I tried. I would question the name Cafe Beermouth as Cafe would suggest a full food menu is available when it is not. Also the name Cafe may put off a lot of beer drinkers.
J. S.
Great place for a good beer, both local and international. Drinkypoos time
m. f.
Superb choice of beers in a modern environment. Good for all age groups and no real dress code. Well worth a visit.
R. B.
At least 17 different beers that rotate as they run out. Paradise for a real ale fan. Tasting is encouraged by the knowledgeable staff. Chilled haven of the madness of market Street.
A. K.
Very knowledgeable staff, they let me test new flavours and reccomend based upon my previous preferences.
I go here even if it is slightly more expensive because they hold a great venue and the staff make me feel comfortable
s. j.

Always a favourite, good beer choice and atmosphere
T. C.
Fantastic beer selection, nice and quiet atmosphere, good to have a proper catch up in small groups
T. M.
Super continental-style bar tucked away off Market Street with a fantastic beer menu.
A.
Great range of beers although some will seriously curtail your evening if drunk to excess. Very popular for a quick after work drink.
M. v.
OK, so it's all about beer, but also... Cheeseboard!!!! It's just perfection. If you want to support real craft and enjoy beer and nibbles in a super friendly and chilled environment, then this is the place to be.
c. S.
Enormous range of UK, Belgian, USA beers as well as lots from Holland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and even Japan. If you like beer, you will like this shop! The guys in their will help you choose something you like.
G. H.
Shocked by how much I liked this place. Assumed it would be expensive and up its own arse but it was cheap, great beer, great atmosphere. Just a a really good city centre pub!
W. S.
Love this place! Friendly staff, great bottle selection and amazing rotating keg/cask beers. The cheese board is highly recommended, too!

Quite possibly the best pub ever. The constantly rotating selection of beers makes every visit a wonderful adventure. Keep up the good work.
I. B.
Great selection of beers, really knowledgeable staff patient enough to help all that are unsure about what they would like.
Will definitely be back
R. C.
Serving really good real ale, with plenty of choice. Also has a range of 'pop up' food options making appearances there. Pretty good.
P. G.
Lived in Manchester for 15months, then didn’t visit cafe beermoth until my last week there. What a waste. It’s awesome. Amazing beers, great atmosphere.
R. H.
Always a interesting range of beers from around the world and local all in good condition. Knowledgeable staff on hand to help.
Y. M.
Hip and trendy venue that specialises in beer 🍺. A wonderful selection of craft and locally brewed nectars albeit some can be rather pricey - mind you, you get what you pay for.
C. B.
Friendly very knowledgeable staff about beer. Beer beer beer. Lots of beer. Coke comes in a jam jar and is home made. If beer and beards is your sort of thing then this place is a winner
A. F.
Expensive but varied wide selection of good beers. Relaxed atmosphere. Great new addition to Manchester 'pubs'.
P. W.

R. P.
Great selection of beers and a really nice atmosphere.
E. M.
Great ale bar, but the lager is overpriced... Unfortunately. It's my favourite after work spot, but mostly in the colder cask ales months.
L. S. w. P.
Beers are excellent with a very wide choice and well priced. not much if your not a beer fan so its not for mixed groups I think.
food is tasty but not so much a bargain.
M. C.
A vibrant modern open space. Many excellent ales both Cask and keu keg. Friendly staff are very willing to aid with your choice.
N. B.
What a place, the best beer ale selection in Manchester. Recommend the cheese and meat platters. Nice friendly knowledgeable staff can't recommend this place enough.

Great place for specialist beer. Would go again. Only thing I would say is one or two of the staff have got a lurks but of an attitude.
