Been here a few times over the years since it opened in what used to be a very dilapidated block. Great for Real ale drinkers. I had an excellent pint of Pictish El Diablo. Very friendly. Well worth visiting. Good selection of drinks to suit everyone

Not the biggest selection of ales but what they had were wonderful. My favourite was the triple chocolate. Full of flavour. After an insipid lager in a Holt's pub it was truly amazing. Four of us on a night out had a great time. My partner enjoyed a Cherry Beer.

Great night had. Arrived at 6 and got kicked out at 10pm - in a really friendly manner :) . Great bunch of staff. Even better selection of beers etc. Having Covid restrictions placed upon them, there's plenty of space that would normally be occupied. Not been for a very long while but do remember Cask heaving with punters and it is sad to see the place so empty. With fewer people however comes a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a chat. No problem recommending these guys. And don't forget the Ancoats site too.

Great little ale pub, has a beer garden out back and a music machine. When I visited they had a wide selection of beers including a 3.7 percent beer that's good if your driving and many tasty beers in various shades and strengths.

My sort of pub! Great selection of Belgium's finest (Rochefort 10 was one I hadn't had in a while) and craft beer in the fridge, some great beers on tap (including Big Wave) and friendly bar tenders to serve you it. It's a no-frills, spacious little pub that's a great choice for you and a group of mates.

A place to go if you enjoy your beer as normally 4 handpull real ales on sale and kept in good condition. Very varied selection of European bottled beers available. Staff are very knowledgeable about the products that they sell and are very welcoming to their customers. They are happy to let you sample real ales before you buy. One moot point is within this part of town the cost of a pint of beer is slowly mirroring the overpriced beer found in the plethora of hipster bars that have sprung up in the Northern quarter.

Cask is somewhere I'd always walked past but never went in. If you're a beer aficionado it's a pub for you. It's looks small from the outside but bigger on the inside. There is an extensive selection of real ales and beers. If you're peckish then nip next door to the Fish Hut and bring them in. There is a lovely hidden beer garden out the back too. I won't be walking past again

If you quite like going to Belgium or Germany to drink a good beer, you'll love it here. Plenty of local beer too. They also let you bring in food from the chippy next door so long as you put the leftover rubbish in the bin outside. Always best to check with them before bringing food in though.

Great traditional bar. Lots of guest ales for the types that like to try new things, no big brewery attached. Great Juke box and clean toilets, located next to an amazing chippie me they let you bring it in to eat as long as you take your rubbish away with you. A stone's throw away from Oxford road station.

A delightful little gem that serves up a great selection of imported beers from all around the world. Whether you want to chat with friends or select a song from the extensive list on the jukebox, the inside is modest but cosy. There is a also a small charming patio outside with seating if you want to grab some fresh air. My personal favourite way to experience Cask is at lunch times; grab some chips from the nearby Fish Hut takeaway and they let you eat them whilst you sup on one of Casks refreshing beverages.

A top little bar hiding away down Liverpool road, always flowing with new beers and packed out inside. The beer gardens not much to shout out about, and I'm not really sure if the sun can actually reach it, but it's cosy enough inside not to care. I don't think I've been to Cask without visiting the Fish Hut next door and bringing my fish and chips to go with my pint; you know you can't go wrong at a pub that allows that!

I love cask. It's like stepping into a continental Europen bar with a Manciuan twist. You'll be sure to find something you like amongst their 13 draft beers, 4 cask ales and a huge bottle selection. The beers are mainly traditional Belgian and German, but you will also find a number of great British breweries on display They have a small beer garden at the back with tables and chairs fashioned out of beer kegs and casks. You may also spot a couple of beer engine hand pumps nestled amongst the flowers. Cask is a must see for beer lovers in Manchester.

Cask is near to MOSI just off deansgate on Liverpool Road. I'd heard great things about it so had to pop in when I was passing... Not been in a bar which serves so many beers and ales for a while! There must've been 15 on tap as well as numerous bottles... They also have cherry bee on draft!! Superb. The prices are average for city if not a little higher but the quality of the pint here was one of the best I've had in Manchester. I've heard you can bring your chippy tea in from the chippy next door which is great for a late evening snack. Will definitely be back to sample more delightful beers.

Cask could be deemed the greatest pub in Manchester for one reason; allowing it's customers to eat fish n chips from the chippy next door inside the pub. Hot chips drenched in salt and vinegar washed down with a cool, frothy beer is an almighty combination. The friendly bar staff don't have a problem with you bringing them in as long as you clear up after yourself and take the rubbish out with you; this rule works perfectly and we even cleaned up after someone else who was not as considerate to keep the staff smiling at the end of their shift. Take-away food pleasures aside, the beers on offer and atmosphere also make it great. Another place shunning the usual Stellas and Kronenburgs is always a good thing - the range of IPAs, European beers, fruit and wheat beers, ciders is really interesting and varied. I loved the Lindemans cherry beer which was on draft and you can't beat a Schneider Weisse and matching glass. It's a buzzy place without being overcrowded and the relaxed atmosphere and selection of board games means you'll never be bored. Simple, effective and spot on. Just like a good chip.

This may well be my favourite bar in Manchester. Tucked away just opposite the MOSI, it hits just the right balance with its careworn interior and well maintained cellar. They always have a range of cask beers on - 3 or 4 - as well as having some excellent European lagers on draft, such as Hoffbrau which is a personal highlight. If you ask nicely they'll even let you eat fish and chips from the excellent takeaway next door!

Cask doesn't look like much from the outside but this little boozer embodies the Northern quarter of 10 ears ago. Band posters adorn the walls and the furniture feels upcycled by necessity rather than for style. The jukebox is full of classics and the beer choice is extensive - definitely a stop on a Castlefield tour.
