One of the best vegan roasts we've ever had. Multiple vegan options, which is great. Really good food and even had vegan Yorkshire puds. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hubby said the beer was good too and he bought some to take home. Easy to find free on-street parking with a couple of mins walk. We'll be back!

Found the Tap by sheer good fortune. We were heading to a gig at Old Trafford and decided to have a drink in Chorlton before walking to the ground. Great place, loads of interesting beers to try and a good atmosphere. We liked it so much we went back after the gig for another go 🙂

Not been here in years, a little worn but has a welcome feel to it, quite pricey but as I can't drink for medical reasons I managed to get Budvar no alco beer and as I loved Budvar...I also now love this too..pity it didn't have the same effect...but hey ! Came in about 21.00 and got a quiet seat with our friends so we could put the world to rights..Nice way to end an evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Used to be a local haunt years ago, but stopped going in after it changed hands as the beer fell off a bit. Looks like it's changed hands again as the range of beer is now excellent and the ones we tried were fairly priced and very well kept. The place was very busy, the staff were polite, and they've improved the rear beer garden. We didn't order food as we'd eaten elsewhere prior, but they seemed to be doing a good trade. Only negative is the toilets. Not great. Could do with upgrading the gents. They've not seen a paintbrush in over ten years.

Had an amazing vegan Sunday roast from here! Was great to see multiple vegan options as well as sometimes there isn’t even one! The food was so tasty and good portion sizes. The only slight disappointment was that the vegan Yorkshire puddings were a lot smaller than the normal ones but still only received one but overall a great meal! Will definitely be returning 😊

Friendly, nice atmosphere, good beer, what more could you want. Very handy for the Chorlton tram stop which is opposite, and we some outside seating to rear and to the front. Food options can be changeable, so worth checking in advance if you are after grub.

I was really appreciative of the help I received when my powered wheelchair stopped working ( flat batteries) barman/manager carried my battery and charger and connected it up for charge. Popped in never having been here before & very pleasantly surprised with the lovely beer garden out the back. Was super lovely to chill out with a pint on a sunny day. The range of drinks here is amazing.

I've not eaten here yet but the menu looks fab. They have quite an impressive real ale and cider menu and tell you which ones are vegan friendly. I'm not vegan but it's always good if a place is considerate enough to cater for this. The only problem I had was the price of the drinks changed depending on who served you. That would definitely need sorting!

Friendly staff, I asked if they had gluten free beer and they had a selection which they were happy to discuss. My friend wanted a non-alcoholic beer and again they were knowledgeable and offered a variety. Nice beer garden out of the back or tables at the front if people watching is your thing. Well worth a visit

Great staff that are always ready to help you make a choice and are very informed regarding beers, ales and spirits. Great range of alcohol on taps and you are free to try before buying, which is a nice addition. Prices are much better compared to those in Northern Quarter bars, which is understandable but still a +. I'm especially happy with large selection of amazing Wander Beyond Brewing beers, which are always superb, while my partner loves wide range of ciders with unique flavours!

I like this joint. Good place for an afternoon chill especially if your visiting friends locally and dont want all the hustle and bustle of the city atmosphere. Nice selection of drinks and a choice of background music or the calming sound of passing traffic. The food is excellent "trust me"..

Visited today for the first time for the vegan Sunday roast. Absolutely gorgeous. I had the haggis followed by the bread and butter pudding. The pudding was lovely but it would have been better if cooked in a custard (personal opinion). Lovely staff, nice venue. I'll definitely be going back. My only criticism on (behalf of my friend) is that there are no dark bitters on tap apart from Guinness. Thanks for having this fabulous menu.

Pretty regular in this place and always found it a decent boozer. Prices are reasonable and the staff are good. Always quite busy in the evenings but plenty of seating inside and out. Decent little beer garden at the back in the summer.

Began life as The Bar in the mid 1990s, it was related to the city centre's Marble Arch, so it sold their beers for a good while. That relationship ended, so it now sells a large variety of cask from near and far. Comfortable two room bar with large, covered street-side drinking area. Attracts the gamut of the Chorlton social scene, from trendies to oldies. I don't believe children are welcome. Recommended.

This place has changed a lot recently and its awesome! They do all vegan Mexican street food and their Sunday menu is a mix of breakfast tacos until 3pm or more traditional roasts! All drinks are clearly labelled vegan where applicable - oh and they do cupcakes! Go there now!

Loads of great beer, nice people and a nice area outside at the back. The staff were friendly and compared to some other bars in the area, just normal in a really good way; no home cut and dyed blue hair. They had music on but you could still communicate without shouting. It's just across the road from Chorlton Metrolink and I'll be visiting again next time I'm in Manchester.

Had short time in Manchester but a lot of choices. Thanks to Charlton Tap for not disappointing me. Worth to visit for such amazing craft beers. They have great variety of cask, keg, cider n delicious Mexican food. The most I love about atmosphere is they have two places for sitting. One with music n one without music so u can choose where u like to fit urself in that atmosphere. Staff is quite nice n helpful. If u compare the prices they r charging, it’s nothing what we paying in London city. Anyhow thanks for making our trip so interesting.

Yes! Lord of the Pies. This is by far and away the most imaginative pub which does food in Manchester. I have been twice now for food and it is excellent. The chef is such a great personality and practically makes the place!

Oh the problems that Chorltonites must have when it comes to a night out for a few drinks. Chorlton boasts a plethora of quality bars and within that list, you have to include Chorlton Tap. I often start or finish the night at the Tap where you'll find a wide range of beers, ales, cocktails etc. The staff always seem friendly enough and the atmosphere is always pleasant. I would recommend a visit to see for yourself.

08/10/22: formerly The Bar, Chorlton Tap boasts 4 Cask and 16 Keg lines. Brewery Tap for Wander Beyond Brewery. Not the first time here, part of the Chorlton Ale Trail, so much choice, with some brews not for the faint hearted! Sadly only took one photo whilst I was here, but I've also uploads a couple of photos of pump toppers from the Wander Beyond Brewery to give you a feel for what may be instore! Dog friendly 👍🏻
