Reviews of Corbieres Bar
Superb bar located underground. Selling beers wines spirits etc. Still got its jukebox which accepts money ! Great bar to get away from it all. Definitely recommended
Hadn't been in here since late 80s. Hardly changed so brought back some brilliant memories. Great jukebox.
Great experience. Staff let me listen to my juke box selection even tho it was near last orders. Would have gone in earlier but the rubbish bins put us off !
Great little old boozer style pub with a really good jukebox
Visited after not venturing inside since the late 80s early 90s. Full on nostalgia trip. The place was totally alive. The buzz from the clientele was infectious. Customers across all age ranges at times singing at the top of their voices as the juke box played out all the top anthems. Will be back very soon.
Top pub!! Nice, friendly staff and the atmosphere is always good in here!!
After all the hype, I was a little underwhelmed. 1970s retro cave with a few tables, jukebox and a pinball machine. Drinks, well, there are better choices elsewhere, and the prices average to high. A regular tells me the prices rise at popular times; although I didn’t see any bar notifications about that. Two real ales, plus Heineken / Amstel larger, a few bottled beers. And no clear wine lists about to make a comment!
Always a great bar that I've been going to regularly since the first when I was 22years old! +30years later and it's still just as fun. Where else can you meet the groom and his father to be having a dance to 1970's punk music. The cavelike interior of this basement bar is an original and never to be matched. Admittedly the enentrance looks like nothing and has lots of beer barrels making the doors unmissable but once you've clambered down the steps the music hits you. One of the best juke boxes for unforgettable tunes, including the Manc settings of the 80's. Visit this place and enjoy.
Such a unique one of a kind bar, dripping with Manchester legacy. The jukebox is everything
I have loved this place since the first time I visited years ago. A wonderful cave of happiness ❤️
It was across between 1970s and Ibiza it was a great venue. Will be exploring again
Not many people know about this little gem, full of character, been there for decades. I had my first pint there nearly 37 years ago. Little bit expensive.
That gem that I hope will be there forever. Walk down the steps and into a different dimension whatever time day or night
Love Corbieres. It is so cosy and relaxed, grear for anyone, friends or couples. It's been visited by some of the best musical artists over the years as well. Great choice of drinks and cocktails and it has the best music around.
Cute little bar, good tap beer and atmosphere!
EVERYONE MUST GO HERE, felt like something different for manchester 10/10 and the pizzas were epic 💪 get in the cave mate
Always on the list of places to go if in this part of town.
A magical place. I hadn't been in for nearly 10 years, still the same.
Top dukebox. Cool cavern like decor. Good beer. Top pinball machine!
Love this place, great atmosphere and friendly staff. However, I very nearly put 1 star... WHERES THE PIN BALL MACHINE GONE??? Oh and can we please put some Oasis in the juke box, c'mon?
Great bar with excellent music and lovely bar staff.
Super bar with great atmosphere and jukebox.
Love coming here...make a beeline for it every time! Very chilled bar X

Best place for a beer and great jukebox
This place is quite different to the places in the centre, worth visiting for the atmosphere
Great dukebox. Toilets need a refresh.
Best juke box in the North!!!!
Very good old pub like back when it frist opened and severing drinks and a old jukebox with the records still in it and playing
Been going to Corbier's for about 36 yrs, always the same warm welcome and good election of beers. A real staple of city centre nightlife
The best juke box in town
Amazing place, great staff!
Small, very popular underground bar. Have been here a few times and never seems to change. Famous also for having best jukebox in Manchester. Little on pricey side but a must place to visit if you are ever in Manchester
It's been there forever making claims about the best jukebox in Manchester, basically whenever you walk in a Smiths tune will be playing or on within the following 10 mins. But the atmosphere is brilliant and the drinks reasonable. Good luck finding it!
One of those hidden bars of Manchester that is worth a visit if only one time. Swerves between manically busy to super quiet. Pinball needs it's sound turning on! £5 a pint makes it a bit expensive for drink.
Fantastic plenty of atmosphere. Really enjoyed on our first visit
Having not been many years I can safely say that this place hasn't changed much. It was always known for its juke box full of Manchester and indie classics and this is still the case. The beer selection is far better than it used to be but the same Portland problems remain. It's a small place with not enough seating and it does get fairly warm.
A Manchester institution that appears to be thriving, a bit more air conditioning would be nice
A little hidden gem, right in the middle of Manchester city centre, right under the nose of all the big bars and restaurants. If you've never been before you'll probably have to ask someone local where it is.
My wife and i shared the mixed Mediterranean dish and it was gorgeous (good price too)
I think i first went in Corbieres back in the mid eighties and if you're into the Manchester culture of the music this place is steeped in history....."The best Juke box in town"
So if you're in town and need a pit stop or even something longer than this is one of the last true Manchester bars left you can visit (the layout hasn't changed since day one)
If you're new to Town and you're reading this then I'd say it's a must see place.
Very nice hidden gem of a bar.
Heard about this through a friend with the yarn "there's a bar that looks like the inside of a human ear and has the best jukebox in Manchester".
However, from my first and only visit I couldn't confirm either to be true.
Point one about the human ear was a little far fetched, although the interior and decor are quite unique and a probably must see for a manchester boozer, it is probably better described as a cave.
On the jukebox front, we probably weren't in for long enough to truly appreciate it's magic, but what we did hear was pretty damn good!
Definitely visit again.
Great bar if you like your Indie music, jukebox full of classics. Stumbled across it a few years ago so made the effort to go back again when visiting Manchester. Hard to find so look out for carlsberg sign above the entrance down the side street. This place will be visited every time when I'm In Manchester. Yet to try the food. Love the quotes on the wall from music celebs & media.
Ah Corbieres, you really are a cavern. This little drinking hole is home to one of the best jukeboxes in town (as long you like Manchester and naval gazing classics) and has one of the hardest to find locations of anywhere I know of. To this day, despite being a regular patron for over 10 years, I have never once managed to walk directly there, instead having to walk in circles, gradually honing in on its backstreet address. Once you have found it, it doesn't disappoint.
Little diamond of a bar just off St Annes Sq on half moon St well known to most Mancs. Very steep stairs down into the cave, but once inside its brightly lit but very small, with friendly staff n a great jukebox, lots of choice in beers bottled n draught but can be expensive !! food n snacks available .
You can change the colour of the wall's but you cannot change Corbieres. I'll be honest, I probably drank in there when underage in the 1980s. Sorry. But it has stayed in my heart ever since. The mix of clientèle is always interesting. The music playing brilliantly engaging. The drink flowing. And the stairs much steeper at the end of the night, I swear. The gents' loos can be a bit legendary at times when people have misbehaved but nothing compared to what the place was like on the old Beaujolais Day posh suit pish upsh back in the wine bar days when pinstripe types would paint the floor red with excess.
Really good, hidden gem. There's a fantastic jukebox and a good atmosphere. The paninis are delicious too, if you want something light to eat for lunch or dinner.
This is a hidden gem of a place. Best juke box in Manchester. If you put a few songs on you'll have to go in 2 days later to listen to them.
One of the first bars I ever went to in Manchester 15 years ago and it has barely changed since then. The jukebox is still the best in the city, possibly the world!, the pinball machine is still in the corner and it still gets very warm when busy. I struggle to pass St Anne's Sq without stopping for a little drink. I truly feel that if more people could find it then they would be queuing to get in.
Great atmosphere, friendly service and good drinks at sensible prices. And as everyone knows - the best jukebox in town. Great spot for a cosy Sunday afternoon drink when escaping the Manchester rain..
Brilliant quirky little subterranean bar serving wines, real ales and cocktails along with quality bar meals. Also, epic jukebox but does get packed and very warm sometimes.
The sort of place where you nip in for one, have just one more and end up staying for hours. There are people of all ages that drink here, lots of craft drinks and the most famous jukebox in the north! Magical at Christmas.
Great little underground bar, nice staff and good drinks.
Best Juke box in Manchester! Cellar bar looks like a cave, strongbow on draft and amazing tunes right in the middle of town, what else do you need? Slightly dodgy toilets again but useable.
A blast from the past as this was a place a group of us used to visit in the 1980s. Not changed much. It's in a cellar. Still has a good juke box!
It’s so retro it’s trendy. Lovely white caved plastered walls and it also has a juke box. So close to market street that it’s great a for a swift drink whilst shopping.
Me and my wife called in on Saturday evening for the first time as we know one of the original owners Tony miles after him telling us about this great place and he wasn’t wrong what a great atmosphere.
Love this little bar near to the Royal extange theatre. Great place to go either before or after a show. Very cosy and intimate venue, with lovely staff well worth a visit.
Corbieres is a great hidden away pub, just off St. Ann's square. The beer selection isn't huge but the atmosphere and jukebox certainly make up for it. I've not had the pleasure of trying to food yet but from the looks of it and asking other people it's good value for what you're paying for.
Great bar and music but never again as it's hotter than the dun in here, and I don't mean a little warm, some of our group had to leave before they collapsed
Had preconceptions this was a dive bar: yep it's not exactly the posh seats but good wine, good music and fab pin ball machine
Love this place, hidden gem as they say, welcoming, not too trendy. Fab music, make sure you take change for jukebox.
Cool, little place with a decent, old school jukebox. Could do better on the beer selections though.
A lovely little gem ...friendly....great atmosphere
Decent little underground bar that's easy to miss when you're walking down the street. Good beer, nice vibe, if in need of some love and attention.
Love this place, its tight cold staircase then you enter into the open cave. No windows, small, but niche.
this is a proper hidden gem. fab place to eat or drink in with an amazing atmosphere, and reasonably priced drinks :)
Packed but great atmosphere
Best beers best service and always such a fun relaxed atmosphere! The manager is always so friendly!
Love this place, it's like going back in time. Down to earth, non-pretentious, and great tunes on the jukebox.
Legendary venue - a must visit. Great jukebox and always a friendly welcome.
Love this place, it's my favourite bar Manchester. Hidden away with the best juke box in town!!
Great atmosphere, wide drinks choice, neat Juke box.
Excellent bar with a fabulous atmosphere.
Great place to have a drink
Great place, great atmosphere, prices are so so for a City centre bar. Everything you've heard about the juke box is true!!
First time here today absolutely loved it if your a music lover best place to go for great music
Still has the same feel as 20 years ago. Great atmosphere and great juke box.
Cosy, subterranean drinking den. Excellent for a good catch up. WiFi is available. Love visiting.
Been here a few times & can safely say one of the best bars to relax & listen to great music.

Love this place. Atmosphere is great, jukebox is full of classics and the selection of beverages is top notch!
Nice bar, can be quiet can busy, always a good northern jukebox
Hidden gem great atmosphere even better jukebox worth a visit.
Truly hidden gem of a bar, which makes me reluctant to write write this review!
On second thoughts; its terrible don't go! And definitely don't tell anyone else about it!
If you want the atmosphere of a rough Manchester pub but the decor of the mos eisley cantina this is the place for you. Love it.
The best juke box in Manchester and they serve beer. What more do you need. X
It's a must when we come into Manchester, tucked away, but always a good crowd in and a good selection of drinks.

God! Been going here since the 80’s. still hasn’t changed, cool place.👍👍👍
Not my usual haunt, but enjoyed a few rounds of drinks with friends. No WiFi underground!
Really good atmosphere here. Bit off the beaten track so bit difficult to find but I thought it was worth finding.
Basement venue that looks like a cavern. Hard to find location, which makes it feel special to those who know. Bit pricey though.
Brilliant little bar. Always have great music playing on the jukebox.
One of Manchesters real hidden gems. Great selection of beers and a pinball machine. What more could you want.
You can change the colour of the wall's but you cannot change Corbieres. I'll be honest, I probably drank in there when underage in the 1980s. Sorry. But it has stayed in my heart ever since. The mix of clientèle is always interesting. The …
