P. B.I liked Fairfield Arms already from outside, when we drove around and loved it so much that I had to come closer and also go inside.
I enjoyed my visit, nice Xmas decoration, atmosphere, dinner and drinks that I had to come also next day for a lunch during my stay in Manchester.
The food was amazing, tasty and very good looking on both days.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and make me feel very comfortable and welcome.

S. S.We were very impressed with the Fairfield Arms. This was out first visit. We visited on a Saturday evening. First impression was that it is a busy but very welcoming pub and restaurant.
The style of the place seemed as if unchanged for decades, and is extremely well kept. It was clean, comfortable with very friendly staff. It was clear that a some customers see it as their local. Everyone appeared friendly and approachable.
The food was terrific and wasn't overpriced.
Overall experience was very pleasant, and we will certainly make a return visit.
M. G.Been coming here for a couple of years now as a treat and I've got to say this place does not disappoint, quite surprised I've not left a review before. The staff have always been welcoming and friendly and happy to help. Today me and the Mrs popped in for lunch and the food was fabulous as always and to say it only cost £28 for 5 courses and two drinks value for money just doesn't cover it. All I can say it's just keep doing what you guys are doing and I look forward to visiting again soon.
T. B.Found this gem of a place, tonight. Brought my mum who has dementia,and really fussy eater, ordered a soup for her and ribs and chicken for me. Ha ha she devoured the bbq ribs and chicken. Coleslaw is divine. Mini dessert and coffee perfect. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Love the table setting and large view windows. Excellent food. Excellent value. Definitely go back. Good menu.

D. S.It was clear to me, the management of this establishment was under a lot of pressure, professional but not patient. That said, it may have been a one off due to unexpected events on the day. When a resteraunt prices are at the higher end of local eateries, the food and customer experience has to also be at the higher end of the competition. The food was good, albeit only warm in parts, but our experience wasn't at a standard to make a revisit likely.

L. D.Waiting time wasn't great, was told an hour which we was happy to wait. However it was longer than that, with a 2 year old wasn't ideal. Meals all came at different times which meant some had finished before others had their meal arrive. Would have been cold otherwise. We should have left really and gone elsewhere. The food was ok, could tell the Sunday roast had been sat under a hot lamp as it was dry and crispy like. My 2 year old was getting tired and asking to go home, so we just left once we had finished rather than speaking to anyone about how the food was.
C. M.Our first visit. Booked for 3pm, we wasn't seated for 40 mins and that was only because I was complaining that we had plans afterwards. Don't order a cocktail, they have no idea how to make them. Very disappointing. Food was alright and didn't take long. But we won't be going back, it doesn't live up to the reputation it somehow gets.
D. M.Lovely place. Busy but not crowded. Three courses for £12.99... well worth it. Have to try the Nacho's.... Delicious 😋. The app does not work very well and we wasted time trying to order on there, ended up ordering at the bar. Not a major issue and would still highly recommend visiting. The best part for me was the staff NOT coming over asking 'is the food ok?' or taking plates while some are still eating which you often get at places.

J. R. R.Food is good, nice atmosphere, but food took ages to come (it wasn't super busy) and I'm pretty sure our desserts were sitting forgotten inside the kitchen until we asked about them, because they were brought out a minute after asking and they were lukewarm. Shame as the taste was good.

Was so cosy with the fire on and the beautiful Christmas decorations. Would recommend, dont cancel your meal/function its so covid safe. Will be going back soon hopefully

Lift at the side little bit tight on the turning circle for wheelchairs. But still give it a big thumbs up👍 Hospitality very good made to feel welcome. You can order by their app which was easy to use. Thanks guys for your hospitality enjoyed my night. Great to see manger floating speaking with customers too.

J. I.Normally a very enjoyable experience, but after ordering main meals (no starters) & Drinks. Via Ember Inns App. The drinks came straight away. But the food took over an hour to arrive. I did chase it up as we were very hungry and in all honesty tired of the wait. I was advised our food was being cooked. Food was lovely when it arrived but the long wait was very disappointing for our friends on their first visit. Plus using the app I ordered Mini desserts with coffee, but after choosing the mini deserts it was not obvious on the app to select the coffees. So our Mini desserts arrived quickly this time. I asked at the bar re the missing coffees which they prepared and delivered. But Dan then brought over my printed order saying I hadn't ordered the coffees originally. Yes as had not seen the option to do that. But as a customer ordering mini dessert and coffees, wouldn't it be decent customer service to see coffees were not ordered so enquire with the customer which drinks they would like? After this evenings experience I won't be going back to The Fairfield Arms for a while and definitely won't be using their app to order desserts again!

S. R.Traditional pub , if the pub toilet is clean ,means it's a nice place to eat . That's what I think (ocd alert ) . So there toilet's are quite clean , outside seating is quite good too . If you have electric car you can charge your car too
W. W.Had a great meal at the Fairfield Arms yesterday Saturday 24th July We were welcomed By both Chris and Dan. We shared a Natchos starter maybe the best I have ever had. And form light bite menu I had a posh fish finger sandwich that came with chips and salad with a lovely dressing on it my wife had the chicken on a beetroot wrap and the same sides really nice and great value for money. Will be going back very soon

P. S.Lovely meal for Mother's day today. There was 6 of us including a child and the food was spot on. Chicken was perfect, steak served precisely how it was wanted. Desserts were out of this world. The service was really professional and friendly. Could not of asked for anything better. All in all it was stunning value for money. Appx £15 per head including drinks and desserts is under priced for the quality of the food. I've paid twice as much for food not nearly as good as this. Highly recommended

J. S.Grand opening tonight. There were a few teething issues. Overall the food was really good, good quality and good portion sizes. I'd say its priced slightly over pub grub but certaintly not proper restaurant prices. The staff did a fantastic job considering how busy it was solving the issues we had.
We will be going back in a few weeks once the staff have had time to iron out the creases and coming back to update this review.

The food was good value for money; I had a 2-course set menu and it was cheaper than some of the other mains. The food was the same level of quality as other Ember Inn pubs.

N. C.Popped in for Sunday lunch and was lovely! Very busy but soon sorted a table for the two of us. Other half had the 3 meat roast which he said was very nice and I had the veggie tart which was very tasty, along with all the usual trimmings for a roast. It was 2 courses for just over £10 which was great value for the food we received and the wine was really good too! Staff were very friendly also and service was very quick. Will definitely be returning.

Chose a table that wasn't reserved and was asked to move by a rude barman who changed his mind once he knew his error but besides that enjoyed our food and drinks and will return soon.

Supposed to have tabbouleh salad with it but when i asked the manager about it, he pointed to the carrot in the salad and said that was it. Avocado was more like guacamole and not the slices described on the menu. Manager explained it's previously frozen. Service was good.
S. M.Just had a really great meal here. Top quality, home cooked food. I had the steak and ale pie (cooked perfectly) and my partner had the halloumi which looked amazing. Can't fault the prices. £20 for 2 of us with a drink each. Will definitely be back.

On arriving ,shown to our table which seemed rather small, I asked a young lady could we move and she said there was no other places. As I was bringing drinks from the bar there was a chap at our table talking to the wife and grandaughter,I thought he was another customer but he turned out to be Chris the manager. He said if we waited a few minutes he would find us another table which he did. Very nice person I must say. On top of that we enjoyed a lovely meal and would certainly be returning. Thoroughly recommend the Fairfield 100%.

W. W.I attended a birthday celebration here in the cellar room of the venue. The room was ideal for the party size with its own bar and separate room for the buffet. Pleasantly decorated with the patio leading to the garden terrace. The food was delicious and many of the guests commented that they would return to the Fairfield again.

Food, when it arrived, wasn't bad, good parking and the venue itself still retains some of its previous magic. If you like unsophisticated food, as I do, it's worth a visit

J. P.The pub has been taken over by Michelin and Butlers. From the customer's point of view this was a bad move, we used to have friendly waiter service and we knew the chef. We now have to queue to order the food at the bar along with the people wanting drinks. The waiters remain friendly but I sense they don't trust the new organisation. The food is good and the beer excellent but the running of the pub has gone downhill.
P. A.Lovely looking and nicely set out pub. Ideal for eating but not really for having a booze. The more you drink the louder you get and then everyone who is dining seems to stare at you as though your not allowed to drink in a pub. Even the landlord looked annoyed that you are having a booze.

The eating area is large an well lit through the conservatory or candle light after dusk for those more romantic moments, The menu rather extensive an complex could be smaller in my eyes but deffinately seems to go down well with regular diners
for those larger gatherings the function hall in the basement with its private side entrance an own bar could hold an impressive 90 odd people an more on a nice day with its rear doors open leading onto a second outside seated area all in all the pub is very nice an fit for most occasions. Ive been visiting or working in this particular pub for over 10yrs now an lived in the Audenshaw most my life working in pubs an keep coming back to this pub, that in my eyes says a lot.
