A good pub. But seems to be lacking a little something since the lockdowns. Used to be a very welcoming and ultra friendly place. That did excellent food to boot. It seems to have become very much like most chain pubs. Which is a shame. Usually gets a really nice crowd in this pub. Is still worth a visit. Although the food is now basic pub grub.

I absolutely love coming into the farmers, the atmosphere is always lovely! Tracey and her husband (landlord and lady) are really friendly, they take their time to get to know their customers on a personal level and are always amazing with our 2 year old son. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. It’s very quickly become one of our favourite local pubs as we just find it a really homely place. I highly recommend people to visit this pub if you haven’t already.

First time in the Farmers Arms even though we drive/walk past all the time and keep saying we should call in. So glad we decided to go last night. We had a brilliant time. We was only going to have a few drinks then move on to different pubs but it was so good with the DJ and karaoke that we decided to stay all night. Brilliant atmosphere with everyone singing and dancing. Fantastic night, will definitely be returning soon. Thank you to the lovely staff too.

Nice enough place to sit and have a drink with friends. I've been back a couple of times and would go again. Toilets are clean and staff are friendly. Odd thing is they stop serving food really early. We arrived at around 4.30 on a Saturday afternoon and they had already finished. Nice drinks though and write a cosy place to sit. They have a piano of you want to play. No parking to speak of available on site, but plenty of street parking around about.

The Farmers Arms is our local pub and we couldn't ask for a nicer place. It's gone through some tough times and a change of management, but always has a good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. They've been showing the Women's euros matches recently which has been great and generally I've never had a bad experience there.

We went for a family Sunday lunch to this pub twice a few months ago. Not many of us live locally any more but my Mam was in a (great) care home nearby (Fountains). The care and consideration of the Farmer's staff was exemplary given the circumstances of our visits and they couldn't have done more to make us as comfortable as possible. On our second visit, two of my lads played piano for their Grandma for the last time, each getting a round of applause from the locals. These are bittersweet memories of course, but treasured nevertheless. The beer was great, the food was great. If the people that run the Farmer's read this, I'd like to say 'thank you'. To everybody else, I'd like to say 'go there'.

What a treat The Farmers really is. So welcoming from arriving to leaving. Food is so lovely, especially the quality burgers 😋 Prices for food and drinks are very reasonable too. Always a nice atmosphere and a warm welcome. Such a lovely cozy environment to sit and relax. Loads of screens to watch sport or listen to music ⚽ 🎶 Tracey, Red and the team are amazing. It's a cute little pub, but odd to get into especially if never been before. Avg prices, clean, friendly staff but didn't feel very comfortable as new faces among a crowd of people who were regulars. Food was nice.

Enjoyed our christmas dinner value for money and the cocktail purchased and recommended by the landlady called... christmas in a glass was fab Landlady was lovely and took time out to ensure all was great from start to finish, no rushing after each course to get you our the door. Lovely place and will return thank you for an enjoyable day.

Came in for the first time last night (Friday) great pub with a great atmosphere. Came back today to collect the car and ended up staying for lunch. Food was low in price but really tasty and we both had massive portions. Both ordered sandwiches which came with a huge side salad and chips. Staff are lovely and really friendly. Forget the old Farmers, new owners have worked hard to create a superb neighbourhood pub. You now receive a genuinely warm welcome. Reasonably priced beer and decent pub grub is now the order of the day. Recommended.

An absolutely fantastic pub. Very warm welcome, massive selection of food and drink. I would highly recommend the Pick and Mix dishes from the menu. Everything is decently priced and it is a very proactive place as well. Always will be worth a visit.

We have been visiting the Farmers Arms since it reopened with Tracey and Red in charge. They have totally transformed the place. It is now very busy compared to how it used to be. Also the clientele has changed with nice friendly people frequenting. They have done an amazing job in removing certain undesirables who previously visited the pub. They are both very friendly and have now created a friendly, well run pub which the local community can enjoy. It's a great place that we love and we travel from Monton to visit the locals and the team who run the pub. Its fantastic now.

Love this pub. Just a shame the kitchen closes so early (1915) I've never been able to eat here unfortunately. That's one of the reasons why I don't come here too often. Very nice bar staff though.

Many years ago this pub was one if the best around but after a succession of bad licensees hit rock bottom. Now staff, food, interior, ambience is excellent. Well worth a lunch or two. Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned British pub grub and at a good price

First time in since refurb. Absolutely loved the new look Farmers. Staff really friendly, menu good, prices very reasonable. Decor is bright and fresh. Food came out and was delicious. Screens all round to watch sports etc... Entertainment is on 6 nights too!! Overall experience was 10/10. Atmosphere was miles better than when previous owners ran it too!! We will definitely be back and will tell others how good it now is. Thank you for a great experience all round. Tony.

A pub that has been serving the people of Swinton for a long time now and let's hope it continues to do so for many years to come. Didn't try the food on my visit yet, once again - in my opinion, this is another venue that is trying to please too many customer types and satisfying non. There's a pool table, large screen TV's in every 'room' and then the food. The Farmer's is obviously a very popular place to be and, whilst it won't be top of my list for a revisit anytime soon, I do hope it continues to serve the good people of Swinton.
