R. J.Just had a fantastic family meal at the Golden Lion. Everyone loved the food, and the drinks ( Holt’s Crystal). Everything was served by their super friendly staff. Highly recommended
J. W.I've been going in here about 3 yes for the odd meall, it's very clean the staff are very friendly and will do anything in their power to help with anything. But for the first time I had a rump steak, it was my anniversary so went. This steak refused to be cut or eaten it was tough as old boots, I complained and Wen it went back the chef agreed and so I did not pay for it, I was also offered free dessert which I declined and the girl could not apologise enough. Don't no if it's a one but will see.
W. R.Had a lovely fresh cooked meal with the family here. All food was delicious and hot, the staff were brilliant, I asked for extra custard which was brought straight away at no charge, very pleasant and will definitely be returning!

Staff are great, especially Danielle, tables and customers spaced out even though it was busy. There was a good atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks and food. Large outdoor seating/smoking area with tv and heaters. Plenty of covid-19 precautions in place, facemasks are required to enter the pub and need to be worn whenever you aren't seated at your table. Asked to complete the check in and use hand sanitizer before being allowed into the bar/restaurant. Fantastic place, I would definitely recommend it, and the Sunday dinner was amazing!

J. H.Regularly stop here when in the area parked overnight. Bar staff are brilliant and the food is fantastic. The Holts lagers are definitely worth a try too.
