Reviews of Guilty By Association
The bouncers were brilliant!
I really enjoyed the music! Even though it was busy people relatively considerate, like moving out of the way if you had drinks in hand. HOWEVER really surprised and disappointed that Guilty charged me for tap water. Really!?!?!?!?! It's not Ibiza guys.
My Christmas party dropped in for a quick drink was card payment only when we visited . One big open room . Door security on at weekends like everywhere else. Toilets bit of a mess in need of a lick of paint . More of a youngest / Teenagers sort of place to be honest
Came here for a night out and just want to say how amazing I think the bouncers were, it’s the first place that I’ve been on a night out where the bouncers are genuinely looking out for women’s well-being. I saw them check on a couple of women throughout the night who were clearly drunk and had men around them, turned out the girls were with these guys but it’s not always the case and just really refreshing to see that they were on the look out, they would do it a secure way to get the women’s attention too! I spotted it and really appreciated it so thanks
We went in about 7ish and it was almost empty - which is fine as I suspect its a late night establishment. The two-for-one deal on cocktails was very good and they tasted fantastic. But when the barman approached our table he did spill them. Of course we got free replacements.
We'd certainly go back as the music was good, there was plenty of space and the barstaff friendly.
People come with their own groups, and they do not socialise with others much, so felt isolated lol
Great for drinks and socialising and great dance music althou they need to fix there toilets as it was flooding and could be a hazard
Beth is a very friendly and most helpful really enjoyed my time at this bar
Really can’t fault the place. Went on a busy bank holiday and the staff were pleasant and the drinks came really quickly and were delicious! Go early for the 241 cocktail deals though!!
Amazing food...wood fired pizza's are second to none and the Arancini was superb. Please visit for great food and atmosphere
Nice bar for dancing specifically for rnb/hip hop lovers
Great little cocktail bar in the heart of the Northern Quarter. Amazing deals on cocktails and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone in search of a cocktail bar in the Northern Quarter! The games machines are an added bonus as well!
I’ve been meaning to do this for ages but haven’t got round to it!
I came to Guilty on Sat 27th Jan for my birthday. Can I just say I had a really good night and all the staff are wonderful!! Table service was great. Drinks came quickly and the staff were really attentive. I got really drunk to the point where I couldn’t even walk and was being sick in the toilets! Can I please just say how wonderful the lady bouncer (small with black hair) was. Usually they get really arsey and just throw you out the club. However, she was so nice to me, practically carrying me out the club and waited with me outside. As it was my birthday she then allowed me back in the club and walked me back downstairs to my friends. Had a really good night and thank you to the staff and that lady bouncer for looking after me.
Also went last night (Sat 31st March) and the guy at the bar was great. He asked what kind of cocktails I usually like and recommend some to me and my friend. He also tested before he gave it to me to make sure it was perfect! The staff came to our table a lot of times to take empty cups etc so again, another great night! I always recommend Guilty to my friends for birthdays etc!
A night life place to be. Really good music covering almost all genres. Good drinks and cocktails. Loads of people troop this club and you will need to be there on time else you may have to wait a while to get an entry.
Decent place, visited on a Friday at around 1am, place wasn't rammed but still fairly busy and had a good atmosphere, average prices, and not a long wait at the bar. The music was good, they played some decent dancehall tunes and a good selection of r&b. Free to get in which is a bonus and the bouncers are friendly enough.
Came here for an early Friday evening drink before going to a gig. This place did the job perfectly.
There dirnks selection was decent, the prices were reasonable for the location and the staff were attentive at the bar so service was fast.
It was surprisingly quiet but in guessing it gets busy later on. The layout was good with a strange of standing and seating spaces. DJ was ok
The first thing that hit me about this place was just how light and spacious it seemed for a basement bar.
The decor, while nice, is straight out of the northern quarter kit box: bare ceiling, exposed brick and a bit of wood thrown in for good measure.
There are a few nice touches thrown in though; an old safe as a table, retro games machines, and the old leather car seat chairs were particular favourites.
The drinks were nice, well priced too.
Absolutely cracking new bar with a fantastic vibe. We visited on a Thursday night so it wasn't rammed. A good addition to the Stevenson Square area and a fantastic place to go with a group of mates.
A great selection of cocktails, including the Mexican Mule and all very reasonably priced, also do a decent house ale which is worth checking out.
The latest bar to pop up in northern quarter, I stumbled across it one evening whilst out in a big group looking for a place to dance towards the end of the night. I have since been back a few times, its got a floor and lots of rnb vibes on a Friday or Saturday night ! During the week its considerably quieter, a good place to go for a cocktail during happy hour (7-9).
Following in the footsteps of it's NQ neighbours Guilty By Association takes a 'less is more' approach to the decor and leaves you with a warehouse feel. The bar is stocked with quality beers and the fußball table is a nice touch, definitely worth a visit of a Friday or Saturday eve.
Loved the bar staff - super friendly and helpful. I couldn't bear to read the drinks menu and each of Connor, Thomas and Cameron listened to what flavours I wanted and whipped up cocktails which were spot on!
Guilty By Association is another bar in the Northern Quarter running the speakeasy vibe, with just stencils on the walls outside to let you know where the entrance is. The space itself is standard Manchester warehouse, with exposed brick and white pillars but the furniture is cute - you can choose from leather banquettes or tables with car seats, and there's a few retro games to keep you entertained too.
Latest new bar in the NQ. Laidback atmosphere with amazing cocktails being served to good music. Plenty of seating and space so the perfect bar to arrange meeting friends in.
Nice and relaxed outdoor seating. Only one kind of lager.
It's a good time if you're looking for one. Didn't really like the structure, felt trapped in the whole basement setting. Wouldn't make it a regular trapping but for occasional visits, it suites fine.
Great venue, quick bar staff. Refreshing to go on a night out, meet nice people and be served without getting squashed or falling asleep!
Him fun bar, free to get in and Shasta has people dancing. Music is pretty decent as well.
Was surprised that the music was actually really good as Northern Quarter bars aren't usually my scene but it was hip hop and R&B etc on a Saturday.
Saturday nights here are always a good time! Can't wear trainers in though because they do turn you away!
Best place for R&B music in the city of mancheater great vibe drinks well priced aswell We always start our nights out here
Just behind lost in Tokyo... nice place to be.
Was good fun, decent music, cool decorations and lively atmosphere drinks were nice also
Great hidden bar, industrial design, good beer and tasty cocktails
Great music can great stuffy but definitely a good spot to go
Good little bar
Music is great. Pretty mixed crowd which I like. Recommended!
Great vibes of RnB. Similar to Lost in Tokyo next door.
Good atmosphere but the bouncers are annoying sometimes. Very strict at the doors
Nice bar and drinks service a little slow on the night I was there
Hip hop rnb house pop all you need for a good night
Fair enough club..
Sticky floor and generally lots of people bumping into each other...
Small and cramped, doesn't look like much, and big dumb table right in the middle of the room!
Great bar but queues can be huge
