A great local venue with a good range of drinks including craft ales. We went to a sold out gig and it had a great atmosphere. The bar is downstairs which isn't a problem and you even get to use real glasses rather than nasty plastic. I'll definitely look forward to coming back.

I just love this pub! Kind of a proper, old-school boozer but slightly hip at the same time. Very varied crowd, always a warm welcome from the staff, excellent jukebox - in fact it would be difficult to find a duff tune in the whole collection. But also a quiet room at the back for those who like a pub to be nice and conversational. And guess what? You can bring your dog! Told you it was a proper pub.

Probably my favourite gig venue in Manchester. A great pub with fantastic jukebox downstairs and a good sized gig room upstairs. Plus a smaller room through the back for more intimate shows. Gigs featuring touring and local acts pretty much every night, at affordable enough ticket prices to be able to "take a punt on a random band"

Attended the Wade Bowen event last night and he was superb, nice hidden venue upstairs up a narrow staircase. The only negative was one member of the bar staff was too endeared with his phone, so we had to constantly wait for the other to be served.

My cousin's favourite pub in Manchester. He took me there when I visited him a few weeks ago and I get why he likes it. Big selection of beers on tap and good atmosphere.

Alright pub. Can be a bit clannish if you don't go in there often. Do go if you fancy a local pint at a decent price - Big Bad Wolf is a particularly good ale, and all the beer is from J.W.Lees, up the road in Chadderton. Don't go if you want fancy IPAs, obnoxious music or have ever asked about whether coffee is single origin.

this is a great little gem of a pub and venue, the staff are genuinely lovely and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the beer cheap, the peanuts tasty and the patrons are wonderful. oh and once a month they have @badlanguagemcr poetry night, an absolutely stonking event, go on, give this place a go, you won't regret it ❤️

Nice traditional pub in the middle of a sometimes-a-bit-to-hip northern quarter. Solid pints and friendly atmosphere. Can only pay by card at £5+ and can get very noisy.

A splendidly typical Mancunian bar, that offers a unique range of indie music gigs. Away from the unique live music offer, they have a great range of lagers, IPAs and traditional British beers. The staff are friendly and welcoming and this is why Gullivers is one of the liveliest pubs in this wonderful old city of ours. Keep it comin' Gullivers x

Great bar, located near the top end of Oldham St, close to The Castle Hotel, Piccadilly Records, Affleck's Palace and Vinyl Exchange. There are a good range of beers on draught and there's a small music venue upstairs which is really good. They accept contactless payments.

A JW Lee's pub in Oldham Street. It went through a major refurbishment a few years ago and it was for the better. I had never ventured into prior to that as then it was not very appealing. Today it is well worth a visit. It has several booths to sit in if you enter via Oldham Street. Normally has 2 or 3 Lee's ales on hand pump. Plus the usual suspects in lagers and ciders. Friendly staff but gets quite busy Friday/ Saturday evenings. So go and visit.

Working in northern quarter I'm so.ething of a connoisseur of the local bar/pub style places to go. Gulliver's is the one that, when I don't fancy obscure Trappist beers or hipster vibes with funky music (I never want that), I go to. It's got a quality range of beers and ales with excellent jukebox and friendly staff. With a nice relaxed vibe of people having a chill out rather than going to a place they feel they should go to.

Bit disappointed there were no tiny people there but otherwise a great boozer amid the hyperbole of Manchester nightlife, great friendly staff and some decent beer! And a great comedy show (Thespianage Productions) to boot!

Gulliver's is the place I like to go if I've been doing stand-up in Manchester Poetry is my thing, because it's a really nice place cosy and they have live acts bands I don't drink and it's possible to get a brew there, all in all I'd say it's my favourite pub in Manchester polite staff and nice clientele a definite must visit.

Despite being through more managers than a failing premier league football club and more refurbs than Changing Rooms, Gulliver's still retains its character. The latest change is for the better, just a shame the pints are more expensive than they used to be and the original Manchester gig posters are gone.

Gullivers: located on Oldham Road in the older part of Manchester City Centre, Northern Quarter., dates back to 1865. Originally a Wilson's house called The Albert Hotel, The Grenadier, then back to Gullivers when J.W. Lees bought it in the 1970's. Craft Beer, Cask Ales, Live Events.
