Reviews of NQ64 Peter St

This place is super fun. So much better than the smaller original venue in the northern quarter. Much more space and games at the larger venue on Peter Street. The cocktails are lovely and reasonably priced too. One or two of the machines did take a token but not play a game so need some work at times but overall a fun venue.

Great pub, plenty of retro games to play, some free, but do buy a drink. You buy tokens to play most games. Time passed very quickly with cocktails flowing. Enjoyable afternoon had

5 star place and one to 100% visit if you're into Retro titles and machines.
The room is split mainly into three parts - the bar/pinball tables, consoles and arcade machines. You purchase tokens at the bar (£7 for 15 at the time) which then allows you to play on the arcade cabinets.
The amount of tokens represents how much for one play/player so if you had two players and it was 2 tokens, you'd need 4 tokens for both of you to play. Consoles are all free.
You have the lower-budget machines at 1 token with some in the region of 2 tokens.
Drinks are pricey and as such we didn't bother getting one (around £5/pint or so).
There's no pressure to get tokens so you're free to have a look around and just use the consoles if you wanted (although I'd highly advise to get tokens!).
Overall, well worth a go and I'll be returning at some point.

Loved it here! If you’re into retro arcade games, you’ll love it too. It has a great range, including the likes of Pac-Man, Street Fighter 2, Crazy Taxi, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Outrun, House of the Dead, Time Crisis and many more.
You have to buy tokens at the bar to play them all, although there is a bank of consoles with emulators in the middle (PlayStation 1, N64, GameCube etc) that are free to play, just remember not to hog them as to allow other people to use them.

Oh my word. What a blast we had here! We’ve been to NQ64 in the northern quarter before, but we thought we would try out this new location! Well we made a great decision in doing that! It was brilliant! Loads of games to play, the cocktails great as ever, and one great feature about this location was they have a live DJ who played a really good mixture of current music and old 90’s classics! We had a brilliant night! Definitely heading back there!

Fantastic place. Nice and cool, dark too. Great decor.
Beers were pretty good, pricier side of normal but still, thoroughly enjoyable. Staff a good laugh, very friendly. Awesome selection of machines to use. Some use tokens (1 or 2 per go depending on the machine) but there's consoles too, which are free to play but they do ask (very reasonably I feel) that you buy a drink while you're playing.
Would definitely come back. Very much recommend a visit. Wasn't mad busy which was good.

A trip down memory lane! Super busy for a Monday. We'll decorated, very clean. Great drinks and snacks selection. Friendly staff.

Second time visiting this amazing retro gaming bar crash bandicoot and the dance Matt definitely bring me back to my childhood. Amazing staff too and reasonable prices for drinks and tokens definitely recommend others to visit

Really cool, with a lot of nice machines, price for the games ok. The drinks variety I didn’t like so much, maybe they could also have some less complicated ones :)

Great night out if you love retro games. And really good that the consoles are free. Perfect to have a sesh on mariokart or goldeneye if there's 4 of you. So cool how it's painted inside as well.
