Reviews of O'Sheas Irish Bar
C. S.
Absolutely enjoyed the gin & tonic. So refreshing! Looking forward to visiting an Irish pub in a few day.
L. T.
What a place its well run the drinks on offer are superb get I'm there for a cool pint of Guinness 👍
A. C.
Watched the Irish 6 nations game, great atmosphere, big bar and enough staff for the crowd. Never been in a GB Irish bar eith entirely Irish staff. Even managed to order food mid game. Would go again
S. D.
Large pub and as expected in an Irish bar great Guinness, also one of the most beautiful barmaids I've ever seen.
J. M.
Very fresh beer, Hop House lager. Traditional Irish chain style pub. Wide open seating, many TVs with sports. Very good food quality. Efficient high quality service. Food was a bit slow but worth it. Good prices on food and drink for the city. Clean toilets.
Y. A.
Everything you want from a 'proper boozer', every time we come to Manc, O'Sheas is 1st on our list (always end up staying until last orders with the live band). Great prices, fab staff and an extremely friendly environment for everyone. We love it, see you again soon!
J. G.
Amazing staff!! Good drinks and good vibes. Service is quick. Prices are relatively cheap but worth the money :) I will definitely be coming back here.
J. C.
Bar staff was friendly and drinks were good!
Tables far enough apart for easy social distancing and TVs visible from all the tables I could see (they were showing the darts at the time).
'. F.
Niamh was a fantastic host, the nachos were really good, and drinks were decent. But only four stars because the doormen were complete a**holes!
B.
Great venue for St Patrick's day. Get your tickets, get there early and enjoy the music. Top night
p.
Lovely staff, the food was amazing my friend had Irish breakfast I had beef on a bun with gravy and chips. Highly reccommend
J. L.
Good irish bar good music and the staff are friendly! As an irish man I have to say the Guinness is ok not the best but the food is lovely 🇮🇪
M. B.
Great lively bar/atmosphere. Only advice if you're having food don't leave it too late it'll all be gone
M. F.
Nice Irish bar/pub, live music I believe (not been when bands are playing) a pint of Guinness however was £4.80 :(
A. C.
Nice pub, Great Guinness and decent atmosphere
C. L.
Absolutely fantastic. Service was great. Food was amazing and fresh. Very warm and welcoming staff. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended ☺️😊
G. B.
Great experience in this Pub. Watched GAA match and stayed for fantastic music afterwards . Good food also.
S. O.
Fantastic pub, great atmosphere on Sunday afternoon for the Celtic match.
J. G.
I like to go with companions to this spot with my most elevated suggestions. I visit this spot frequently. This suggestion is consistently fruitful. The food there is delightful and the group is liberal and helpful. At whatever point we eat here we make some ravishing memories. I energetically suggest this eatery.
G. B.
Great place for breakfast or a pint of Guinness. Brilliant customer service, we had ordered a hot chocolate with breakfast. They had ran out of hot chocolate but it was not an issue, as they went out and bought some hot chocolate and only let us know afterwards to account for the slight delay. Great breakfast as well, even the veggie option. We'll be back when visiting Manchester.
S. G.
Decent food but they falsly advertise on the menu that mondays are 50% off.
B. B.
The pub as a whole is OK. The price higher than average for Manchester. As the name suggests, it is an Irish pub and is full of Irish people, so not everyone will fit in.
G. m. g.
Good service, good food and very important...a very good pint of Guinness
L. N.
Food was AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL bar! We Will be back! Tha staff amazing 👏
H. M.
Very friendly pub, my husband loved the Guinness.
D. C.
Was there for the United final, drinks were quick, venue was great and prices good. Staff were nice - we were sat beside the nicest security man I’ve ever met. Shame about United score, but can’t have it all I suppose.
D. B.
I had dinner here and the food was so delicious. They can tell they put common sense into the food. The fish and chips were delicious, the fish was nice and crispy the potatoes weren’t fried, they were big and thick however they tasted very nice. Buffalo chicken wings! Nicely cooked and they have the good Buffalo
Sauce! We got salad on the side which came with tomato and like a sauce on top.
I would definitely recommend to everyone to come here.
J. M.
Best place for a Guiness or two, great staff. Always showing the football, hope to be back soon after lockdown.
D. a.
Guiness was awesome, food was good and service was nice.
C. B.
Nice bar and atmosphere. I find the hard-faced barman a bit off-putting, but the rest are very nice!
J. K.
Good people. Make sure you are at right telly for right game. Will go back
J. C.
It is the best bar in Manchester to watch the celtic matches
T. H.
Grand craic. Lovely spot to finish our evening off having been to gorilla to see Afflecks Palace. Hadn't been to O"Sheas for at least ten years..lovely atmosphere the GAA final had been on and Man u were at home so lots of sporting Paddies inside. Lovely band in, modern Irish. Plenty of dancing and singing. Ice cold Heineken 0.0% on tap for me the tee totaller. Good bar staff. Great spot. Whether you Manc Irish, or a visitor it's worth a look see.
N. S.
Oh my gosh!!...fantastic breakfast...staff superb atmosphere always fantastic.
I. G.
One of the best pints of Guinness in Manchester.
L. C.
It's a good pub... The only thing that lets it down is that the prices are a bit high. Whenever you go you will have a brill time.
P. D.
Nice pint, friendly helpful staff. Volume for the games is very loud even before they start and the pub has not filled out yet. Hard to have a flowing conversation. A lot of nodding and smiling which to be honest is not bad either. But great atmosphere when the pub fills out and the game kicks off. Always friendly people looking for a good time check it out people.
P. A.
Great place for a social drink / meeting.
J. C.
Great sports bar good atmosphere.
M. F.
Very utilitarian and focused on getting the beer to you. It's alright but more of a student destination. That said the staff are always quick, polite and helpful and probably worth a visit if you just fancy a pint. If you are a student you will probably like it here a lot. Although I've never seen a live band here they are clearly set up for it.
P. K.
A good Irish pub the staff are A1 looking forward to going back again 😀
U. G.
Good atmosphere with plenty offer with live sports and performances
M. L.
Good selection of drinks. Good atmosphere
T. N.
Nice place. Nice location. When I visited, It was quiet (I prefer like this), so I enjoyed my time there.
E. P.
Amazing little Irish pub, the food was amazing and the staff were really friendly. The live music added to the wonderful atmosphere and we had a fantastic night. We are not local to the area but would come back to Manchester just to visit here.
S. H.
Best night out for a long time
M.
Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, reasonably priced for a city centre. Not too far from Oxford Road station. Drinking here makes you feel like you're really in Ireland and the live bands were top notch. Highly recommend this place for a drink in Manchester.
I. D.
Nice warm and friendly place and good food
p. s.
Staff and food first class
a. M.
O'Sheas is a great pub. Popular enough to keep it lively but sufficiently tucked away to be missed by the lowts. The bar is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and know their job. I really can't fault the place.
J.
Delicious food. Nice service. Good prices. Toilet for ladies was also good. One star is missing because we were there at lunch time so we couldn't experience the hole atmosphere when the place is packed.
C. D.
Really friendly, buzzy place.
r.
Great beer and atmosphere.
r. d.
There are times this place will hit 5 stars when the bands are playing but I went at a quiet time for a pint and a chat. Had the all day breakfast and a worthys. No complaints with either. Service was quick and the black and white pudding authentic. TVs all around were 4k and the sky wifi was fast. I am sure a busy night at the long bar will see you s
served quick too. The single barman handled everyone with ease. I didn't start into the Guiness on this occasion but wont rule it on in the future. Plenty of other authentic dishes on the menu to keep you coming back. Looks like an intimate venue for bands too but I didnt catch one this time, although they have regular sets listed up on the wall.
A. A.
This spot offers first-rate service and delightful food. One of my favourite restaurants in the area. The drinks and food arrived quick and the prices were economical. I recommend this place.
H. A.
The girls toilets are colder than Cornbrook
J. K.
Great night and a lovely atmosphere and brilliant prices!
C. K.
Great pub great staff. Arrived in Manchester on a Friday afternoon and went looking to watch bohs on rte2. O'Sheas were happy to accommodate. Great pub great staff great food and as good a Guinness as you'll get in England
N. W.
Lovely atmosphere. Respected Civid guidelines.
Friendly staff and great band aying.
G. H. C.
A fantastic Irish bar in Manchester which we have the pleasure of performing at on a regular basis. The drinks are good prices and there is always a great atmosphere, especially St Patricks weekend, and at Christmas. Can't wait to be back!
A. F.
Ok. Good pint of Guinness
S. D.
Been to a show at the Palace theatre, and called in for a quick pint after.
3 hours later and plenty of the best Guiness I have had for a long time, and live music I can say my wife and I had a fantastic evening.
J. D.
Nice Guinness pie. Nice pints of Guinness
S. K.
I've been here quite a few times and have had nothing short of brilliant service.
The staff are all very friendly, the bar is very modern and warmly.
Brill drinks with reasonable prices.
S. S.
Like the outside bar they created… amazing!
Love a good Irish bar!
P. G.
There on a Tuesday afternoon for food after a meeting. Kinda wished we hadn't bothered.service was ok although he looked like he hadn't slept for a week or sobered up during that week. Food was bland and microwaved but filled a hole. Let's leave it at that
A. F.
Love this bar.. they have beer free minions
A. T.
Nicely positioned on Princess Street, just up from Oxford road train station, it sits on a corner position with views from the upper seating looking down the street towards Piccadilly.
Usual selection of beers on offer for an irish pub with a range of bottles in the fridges along with a variety of whiskey. Decor is as expected from a city centre pub and works well with the space it has.
m. m.
I have eaten here several times recently and I have never been disappointed. The food is fabulous. Bar staff are very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend a visit 😃
T. O.
enjoyable drink, friendly workers and wasn’t robbed for my money.
S. C.
Always good atmosphere, nice staff ,good service & good food.
A. F.
This spot is extraordinary and spacious, the menu was enchanting and the prices were very affordable. rapidly, effective service and very affable staff. Recommended.
C. C.
This place sure knows how to take care of their clients. Constantly with a very kind mindset. The food is affordably priced, constantly yummy and clean.
G. H.
Fabulous night here, live music. Then back next morning for breakfast! Great night! Lovely staff, full Irish breakfast, second to non! Will definitely be back from Liverpool!!!!
S. L.
Good friendly pub
S. j. H.
Had a really good time here, it's abit pricey but such a good atmosphere and the wine isn't over priced so was good for me 😁
i.
Sarah at O’sheas Beer Garden is an absolute legend she was very helpful and sorted an issue with drinks really quick!
D. M.
Food is really good, atmosphere nice. Prices a bit high but everywhere is expensive in city centre. Can go on Mondays and everything is half price (lunch time)
s. o.
I am not normally a big Sunday roast fan but this was one of the best I have ever had and amazing value for money. If you are in Manchester on Sunday afternoon this place is a must for a Sunday roast
M. R. C.
Nice little bar!!
G. B.
O'Sheas has had a revamp! New toilets etc. Live music phenomenal as well as the live sport with numerous screens.
Full time Chef now with what are probably the best burgers in town! Great selection of Irish and Manchester Gins served perfectly! Highly recommend a visit!
"Wee Little Bit of History - O'Sheas Irish BaRepublic first opened its doors to the people in Manchester in 1994 with then Ireland Manager Jack Charlton pouring the first pint of Guinness. SInce then over 2 million pints of Guinness have followed. The building where we proudly stand was built in 1905 as a packing and shipping warehouse in the middle of a predominantly Irish area between Little Ireland and St Austin."
And now totally refurbished in January / February 2017!
D. F.
Cracking place to come and watch the rugby, lots of screens, good atmosphere, great live music, and one of the best pints of Guinness in Manchester.
Very reasonably priced too.
D. B.
Great pub, and food. Music available. Helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere especially with Irish sports fans
R. T.
Had a great night out here good live music drinks at a normal price and staff always a good laugh help full and made you feel welcome and at home if I was to return anywhere it would be here feels more like an Irish pub than any of the other pubs visited
L. P.
Great food. Good atmosphere. Good service. What else would you expect from an Irish pub. Will be back!
T. P.
Very friendly, good helpful staff. Going bk for breakfast tomorrow
S. S.
I've been coming to O'shea's for just over 10 years as a massive celtic fan the atmosphere was amazing. Since rangers have been in the spl this season the atmosphere has cut by half. and when I watched the celtic v city it just wasn't the same anymore. Plus there was a terrible reception and the screen was constantly freezing. Which spoilt my night. So I'm saddened to say that I won't be watching any more celtic games in here anymore which is ashame because I've had many wonderful nights and Sunday days in here watching the old firm and champions league matches. The food is however excellent and the Guinness is lovely. So I may come in some time for that. But I love O'shea's... Im sad to say goodbye. If however O'shea's can get all the sky sports and all bt sport channels then I will be back. Because after last night I'm sure I'm not the only one who was left really disappointed with the interference of the game.
G. G.
Food finished at 8 seems really early for a city centre bar good selection of beers quite small but not too bad an atmosphere
K. B.
Brilliant band, good atmosphere, nice staff, delicious food. Prices cheaper than some places in town but about on par with most.
L. M.
Lovely friendly place 😊
M. G.
I love this pub. Good Irish pub with good stout. There's big hearty food as well, and it's the best place to watch the Big Sam, no question.
T. B. G.
Always a great port of call whenever your heading for a night out in town, Live music, great staff, all the Irish sport and top notch food whats not to like ! x
С. П.
Small but very cool bar with a good selection of quality drinks and a fun atmosphere.
L. T.
Great pub had food yesterday 50 percent off on a monday had the burger was amazing 4.25 come with chips onion rings and slaw couldnt fault it service was great would defo eat there again if i was on Manchester
P. F.
Fab. Clean place. Nice toilets. Food good. In a rush as off to the theatre and train delayed. Food came quickly and was half price.
A. M.
Needs to be cleaned, as it smells a bit. Various tables are broken, so don't lean on them. But there are some big screens for watching a game if you're into that.
B. F.
Excellent Guinness, cracking service and great food
H. K.
Excellent night out here .atmosphere is lively and so friendly and can throw in a yummy meal to .deffo worth a visit or 3 if you love a bit of Irish music and a dance and a bit of the crack 💚💛💚
P. T.
Great bar with a brilliant atmosphere and good live band went here two nights in a row
S. D.
If you are in Manchester on St Patrick's day or looking for somewhere to catch the GAA action this is definitely the place to go, with a more genuine Irish feel than you get at the Waxy's. Also a much better pint of Guinness than in the Printworks.
e. t.
Great good and atmosphere
R. B. U.
Good place to go to watch sports, they can play different things on different screens and were happy to put something on when asked, also has live music

J.
A great Irish bar. Reasonable prices, good selection of drinks and (excellent) food. Try the nachos, they're top notch!
K. M.
excellent burgers but nachos were a weird experience of deepfried something with paprika and diced tomato / onion
E. C.
Honestly one of the best nights out
L. L.
Nice place to have a drink. However the kitchen closes at 7:30pm and the beer selection is not great
