J. K.Family get together which was spoilt to a degree by a few rowdy customers on two separate tables. Food was lovely, had brownies fir dessert which wasn't very nice. Needed cream or ice cream as opposed to the the icing sugar it was served with. Also the sliders was described as beef but when delivered to the table, no signs of meat. When queried, we were advised they were Sloppy Joe's not burgers. This should be reflected on the menu.
K. J.came for my 21st birthday, Eve our waiter was amazing. made us feel looked after and cared for. literally the perfect waiter. always came at the right time to ask us if we needed drinks and had good chat too. :)
R. B.My daughter met up with friends on Saturday for her birthday and I pre ordered drinks and food over the phone on the Friday. Everything was perfect for her. Drinks were as ordered and the food was well presented and fresh. There was a young man looking after their area who knew exactly what he was doing. Well done Slug and lettuce.

E. L.My friend and I went here for breakfast after a girls pamper night away. A few bottles of cava were involved and we needed a proper full English the next day. We stumbled upon this slug and lettuce which was a stones throw away from the hotel we stayed at and the car park. We both had the full English and it was lovely. Everything you needed and very easy to take anything off. Everything came as it should my friends mushrooms she wanted removing were etc.
The breakfast comes with a coffee or tea and you can upgrade to bloody Mary's if you are beginning your party at breakfast (unlike us haha). The coffee was AMAZING came with hot frothy milk on the side (which i had and was beautiful). My friend prefers cold milk and when asked the staff brought her some over. All of the staff were friendly and super helpful. Lots of space at this venue if you are ever thinking of going with a large gathering and all very clean and modern.
J. S.7 of us went here for my daughter's 19th birthday for something to eat and I can't complain about the food I had myself but 1 of the ppl that I was with had a small complaint about the food. "think their order wasn't the food they received' only reason for the 4* not 5. But the steaks me and my son and sister got were great large and definitely a lot more than we expected to get and other food chips,fries and other side orders were nice. Will be back again 👍
J. B.Good selection of food and drinks. Something for everyone. I had fish and chips excellent quality and presentation. Others in our party had beef chilli and rice, smothered chicken and butternut squash salad. All very delicious and very fair prices.

j. h.Went on a saturday around 5pm. Tables were filthy . Mountains of empty glasses covering the tables. It was busy but not to the point where you could not move. Plus side is the cocktails are great.
A.Great place, great food,but was hiked out of seat due to it was booked out, but no signage on said table at time we sat down... not happy its a good job i was not nid flow of eating my tea....

Me and my sister came in for a chill lunch and cocktail before we got the train home. Once we had taken a seat at our table, to our dismay it appeared a children's party, in the form of middle aged adults were sat a few tables away. They were clearly excited to see queen, we would also be excited but luckily we dont have the grace and decorum of a reversing dump truck and we have the privelege of knowing how to conduct ourselves like adults when out in a public setting. To the misfortune of everyone around them, these "adults" seem not to.
After the group had been so rowdy (whistling, shouting, chanting) that we couldn't even hear the conversation between each other and were considering leaving the restaurant. Luckily thats when Alex (the manager ) went over and politely asked them to tone it down a notch as others in the vicinity were becoming increasingly uncomfortable by their volume. We were so thankful that the situation had been handled so quickly in such a polite and professional manner and we were able to continue with our relaxed lunch and cocktails.
Many thanks to the team that were lovely throughout and made our visit so enjoyable. We will be back again.

D. L.Booked a table for 1pm on a Saturday. Shown straight to a table . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks were ordered and arrived pretty quick. We then ordered food off the menu which has a good variety, from sharing meals to burgers/salads & loads of different choices. The inside was nice & clean. For 5 adults drinks & meals & a children's meal it was very reasonable. Under £70 for us all. Would reccomend & visit again.

Legit bring scientists in on this guy to see how all your waiters should be like. That said this is the first time iv been S&L, so the rest of the S&L staff might also be upto par too.
Either way you guys at S&L are 1/1 thus far and you have nick to thank for it.

Service was a bit laboured too, food was ok but burger and chips doesn't take much doing. Nothing about the food or service would make me rush back.

h. t.I visited with 2 friends on a busy Saturday afternoon, as we hadn't made a reservation the guy on the door told us there were no tables available but we still decided go inside for cocktails. The bar was really busy but the queue went down quickly, we had 2 cocktails each as it was 2 for 1offer, we tried our best to get a table but kept missing out, a lady who passed us a couple of times saw us struggling to hold our drinks and asked how many people were in our group she then took us to a window table at the front, her name was Georgina (blonde hair) we were so grateful to have a seat and stayed for more cocktails. Good selection of Cocktails and the bar is very stylish.

The burger deal seemed attractive initially but it's good only if you want the basic burger and fries set. After all the additional top ups, it really wasnt worth the money we spent for the quality of food and drinks we were served.

There were menus full of sticky spillage and untouchable. Staff were serving but no customer service, no smiles, no enjoyment. The drinks were nice and 2 for 1 cocktails was a treat and no mistake. Great selection of cocktails and beers so it's not all bad. They need to get the tables cleaned and fully wipped ready for new customers.

J. V.Absolutely fantastic. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised at the vegan choices on the menu. Food was well presented and delicious (1 vegan, 1 veggie and 1 omni). When we got the bill it was a lovely surprise as there were obviously offers on (we went on a Monday evening) so it was only just over £30 for three of us and that included side orders, desserts, drinks and two cocktails!!! Lovely friendly service too. Will definitely be going back 👍

R. L.I haven't eaten here but I've come write a few times for some drinks with friends. Always great deals on cocktails and a wide selection of gin. There's a little outdoor area for when it's sunny and always places to sit inside. Always choose this place when on a budget as other cocktails can be pretty overpriced in the city centre. It's also in the centre of Albert Square so easy to meet others and nearby if you're visiting other attractions in the city.

G. S.Visiting Manchester from London I wanted something more than a croissant or toast for breakfast. Their Full English is both plentiful and tasty. Service by the staff was friendly, efficient and prompt. The restaurant area is comfortable and well lit, helpful as I enjoy reading my paper with breakfast. One very tiny complaint, the butter for my toast was rock hard. Otherwise, an excellent breakfast.

S. R.Came here for some quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Having been in Manchester recently often and around the Christmas markets, this pub always looked really busy. It was a refreshing change to find it quite empty inside with a great choice of seats.
Food was delivered quickly and was great tasting. The waitress was especially helpful in deciding what to eat too, as I was undecided between the burger and fish and chips. A quick note about the burgers and I was sold!
All in all, a great value place to eat.

A.I was pleasantly surprised by Slug and Lettuce, but then I wasn't expecting much... I went in expecting a pub/wetherspoons kinda deal, but instead it was slightly trendier/classier than that.
The food came early and hot, I had wings and ribs. The wings are the best I've had in Manchester full stop. They were crispy and cooked juuust to perfect. They were supposed to be spicy wings and came with a tub of sauce but as I've come to expect, it wasn't the least bit spicy. The wings themselves were awesome though.
The staff were also friendly and more... Engaging, kinda like bar staff really. The restaurant's recent makeover also gave it a really good spit shine, but I hadn't been so I can't compare how it used to be.
If it has a fault it's that the seating is very pub like, with benches and high tables rather than typical restaurant seating.
T. T.Great choice from extensive menu but we opted for the £5 lunch deal. Fabulous sandwiches, wraps, scampi and chips and portion size was great. No difference in portion sizes from main menu.

Always full of drunk people (the deals are good!!😉),very low key . I like for the prices mainly. It's basicly like going on holiday and stay in a Travelodge or Ibis-cgeap,no surprise and you know what you get!

E. W.It was my first day at my new job, and to celebrate, my boyfriend met me in Albert Square and was planning on treating me to lunch at the Slug and Lettuce. I had an hours lunch break so assumed there would be plenty of time to order two vegetarian pasta dishes; however after sitting there for 45 minutes we realised this was not the case. We proceeded to ask where our food was, to be told it had only just been processed and would have to wait a further 15 minutes before our food was ready. This put a dampaned mood on my whole day, as with 10 minutes left there was no option but to purchase a sandwich from the corner shop and eat it on the street. If you plan on coming here, make sure you have at least two hours to spare.
