Been here a few times in town in the evening and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere, music, people. Though I would advise if your looking for somewhere more quiter and away from the night life I'd probably go earlier in the day, less busy and loud.

We visited on Sunday 27th Feb. The staff was really helpful and friendly. I went up to order at the bar and I have to say that it is the stickiest place I've ever visited. The bar was sticky, menus were sticky. I'm not sure what it was but it was on our table menus too. The food was really good. It took a little while so it wasn't really hot. I had Smothered Chicken and my partner had the Rump Steak. My chicken was nice but the peas and chips were cold. We had a bottle of wine we hadn't finished and a really nice boy who had brought us our food allowed us to take it outside to finish it up in the night air. This is a really nice restaurant with good food, a good atmosphere and great staff. Thank you!

Don't even think I tasted alcohol in my cocktails, took us ages to get seated down. Drinks took a long time too (Bank holiday didn't help but get the right amount of staff then?) Best thing of the outing was the security guard giving us top banter! Gotta love 2 for 1 but yeah - probably won't go again.

Went to slug and Lettuce 16th April for a friend's hen do. Did the cocktail masterclass hosted by Tom. Very chatty and friendly, atmosphere was good. Recommended even if there are non-alcoholic drinkers as alternatives can be made. Nibbles were also nice and a good spread. Everyone enjoyed themselves

First time in Manchester and popped in for drinks with a few colleagues after a long meeting locally on 24th May. Young bar tender, believe her name was Emily R, was extremely friendly and showed that she enjoyed her job. Working in the Hospitality Sector myself, it is always refreshing to see someone who embodies all attributes needed to go far. Even when she accidentally dropped a glass in the ice well just after she had refilled it, she kept smiling ;) Emily R is an asset that deserves recognition, so if you want good service with a smile and a laugh? I would recommend coming here.

I have had THE BEST customer service of my life from Faye. I think she deserves the world honestly, she’s such a supreme person, so personable, kind and completely professional person. An absolute asset to the team. She carries this business on her shoulders. I cannot recommend service by Faye enough.

Usually I enjoy a few celebratory drinks here however, I was very disappointed today. My husband and I wanted to try the Gordon's 00 non alcoholic drink but despite seeing it on the shelf, the staff couldn't find it on the till. We had to have something else instead. It won't sell if the staff can't find it.

We arrived early and had to go to the bar which wasn't a problem but couldn't get served in that time. When we got our table they never made us use our deposit like before. we ordered food and drinks by the app and everything was fine. when we questioned using our deposit we were told they are understaffed and had to use it at the bar. 30 min wait at the bar and they couldn't find our deposit. had to speak to the manager who tried telling us we had used it (we hadn't). eventually with proof of booking they found it and it was another 20 minutes for our drinks. by this point we had 15 minutes left on our booking. if you can't handle being busy employ more staff it started well but became a let down.

Visited here on a Saturday. It was very busy and only 1 girl serving behind the bar, who was trying her hardest, but only so much she could do. Other 2 were busy doing app orders, even though there was a very long queue growing behind us. We eventually got served. We ordered 3 cocktails, which was just slopped in the glasses. They didn't taste of any alcohol. Staff were clearly run off their feet. Not the best experience

Came for Mothers Day Afternoon Tea for five people. Only one member of staff serving a large amount of tables with drinks and food. Had to wait 45 minutes to get drinks and then a further 15 minutes to get afternoon tea. The crockery and cutlery were dirty still had food on them so had to ask for new. The spoons for dessert were either soups spoons or ordinary dessert spoons not sure how you are suppose to eat a jelly in a shot glass with them. Some of the sandwiches were great but the wraps did not have hardly any filling in. Had to ask for more desserts as there was not enough for five people. It is very expensive and you do not get alot of food. Not worth the money.

Went for breakfast this morning and was the only customer. A massive vegetarian breakfast was served and a small pot of tea (about 2 cups) all for less than £8! The quality of the breakfast is top notch and it's the best value for money you can get on Deansgate. The staff were excellent as one could expect on a quote week day morning.

Nice place. Some bar staff quite unhappy making cocktails especially if on promo. The customer is totally an inconvenience to some bar staff, and it shows. I especially liked the eye rolling from the guy every time someone inconvenienced him to serve them. You can tell he loves his job! I visited with 2 friends on a busy Saturday afternoon, as we hadn't made a reservation the guy on the door told us there were no tables available but we decided to go inside for cocktails. The the bar was very busy but the queue went down quickly, we had 2 cocktails each as it was 2 for 1, we tried our best to get a table but kept missing out, a lady who worked there saw us a couple of times struggling holding our drinks, she came back and took us to some seats in the window where we could also put our drinks down, I took her name ( Georgina with blonde hair ) we were really grateful for seats and stayed for more Cocktails, we loved the atmosphere and tge bar is very stylish.

Absolutely fantastic visit for Bottomless Brunch on the 21st May. Our server Laura was absolutely fantastic and kept us topped up throughout, sharing pictures of her beautiful dog and making conversation with us when she took our orders. Food came quick and the full English was gorgeous. We left well fed and watered with smiles on our faces, would happily go again.

Managed to book in for myself and my 7 year old daughter for a late lunch, we were celebrating her getting an amazing achool report! She enjoys posh mocktails and as slug and lettuce do 2 for 1 it was so cheap. The staff were absolutely amazing. I cant express how nice they were with my daughter and how special they made her feel, even though they were really busy. I think I only spent about £35 on 6 mocktails, a sharer platter and a kids meal, and the service was 10/10. Thanks guys 😊

I reserved a table for 2 online and the process was really easy as you had a specific time slot and was confirmed fast. We ordered food as part of eat out to help out and the portions and quality of meals were ace, I got the vegan burger and it was so realistic, and the fish that was ordered was such a good portion. Went on a Friday night... Did seem to take a while to get served sometimes ignored. We made the most of it and had a good time. Gents toilet cubicles need attending to. Broken lock on one door, no toilet paper in the next one and the other the toilet seat doesn't stay up lol so that was a fun visit to the loos. Wouldn't have a problem drinking here again.

Looks promising from the outside, but inside is a bit disappointing with slow service and a weird intermittent pooey smell near the bar. I think there's something wrong with the plumbing maybe. Had the 5 tapas deal and the food was pretty average. The best thing about this place was that I found a socket on the wall near me so I could charge my phone.

Grabbed a cheeky drink and a bite to eat here. Ordered a sharing platter which was a massive portion and had a wide selection of food on it. It is a perfect place to grab lunch at but would get to busy for dinner. The outside seating is ideal for a warm summers day! As they do not have music on its a great place to meet friends for a catch up.

Pub chic, where drink and eat some, have a meeting some days. Is big and not too saturate of people, in opposite, although is little expensive. The dish are between 8-13£. Drinks 5-8£. An alternative who need a place more quiet and little more exclusive.

I haven't sampled the food at this branch, so can't award 5*. I called in for half hour on Sunday evening just before closing time. Staff were courteous, served quite quickly. Nice to see the house burbon were Buffalo Trace an actual bourbon and not an abomination like Jack Daniels which I've been offered before. The chap who served me, asked me how much mixer I wanted and poured until about half Collins size glass worth, most places either fill a half pint glass or just put a dash. The place has fairly recently had a refurb, looks quite nice, a little touch of chic and speakeasy, with jar style lamp shades, butcher block style tables, a little let down by the rather ugly fruit machine but quite pleasant.
