J. B.This was the first time I had been in this place, and I will certainly be going back again. The food was hot and delicious, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Seeing as this is in the city centre the prices are very reasonable, plus the cocktails are two for one. They are open from 10am to 11pm, access is easy for wheelchair users.

g. 0.Easy to order food via the app. Food was really good for the price. We ordered the chicken feast sharing platter and had ample food for 2 people. Really tasty food although some items were a little on the too fried/crispy side eg the wings and the burger buns which seemed to be toasted a little too long as it was chewy. There was a relatively long wait after we finished our platter to when desert was served but the desert was very tasty as well and a had a good portion for the cheap desert price. Overall, very happy and will return.

This S & L is well located and has a nice interior.
We visited this week, which is leading up to the platinum jubilee and I think it was a little busier than usual for a Monday, and it appeared the place was under staffed.
I probably would’ve given it more stars, but we waited 36 minutes for our first drinks to arrive.
I ordered these via the app as well, as the bar area was quite busy, so thought this way would be quicker.
After 30 minutes had passed and still no drink, I had to go to the bar to see where our order was up to.
I could see on the monitors that display tables that have orders, that our table was the only one in a red colour.
I asked the member of staff behind the bar if they could advise on our order, and judging by the look on their face, our order has been totally overlooked and not even started. They did say that they would get straight on it, and 6 minutes later our drinks were delivered with an apology by the server.
After this order, I thought it best to go to the bar thereafter to place our orders and these went fine.
There were a couple of tables that were empty near where we sat, but empty glasses and plates were still sat on them well after the previous visitors had left, some were even still on there when we left and we were in there for a fair while, again, I think it was due to staff levels and the staff that were on shift, struggling to keep up with orders and clearing of tables.
I must say the staff were very nice though to be fair and we got a lovely “hello” from the door staff upon entry.
I’d recommend the “velvet underground” cocktail myself, very nice indeed.
The “cherry bakewell” also nice, quite tart, but if you get a nice mouthful of the cream with your sip of drink, it’s a great taste.

m.First visit to Manchester and passed this place on the way to a concert, and popped in for a drink. The cocktail menu was amazing and so difficult to decide what to have but WOW the cocktails we ordered were fabulous. 😊

Was served by a lovely, friendly lady called Sarah, she was very polite and bubbly.
The food was nice and the bar service very good.
The only negative thing I have to say about the place is that the seating was ripped and the glasses hadn't been cleared.

C. M.From the first glance and his bristling beard/physique I could tell that Steve was a top bloke. Not just any top bloke however, not a lad lad no...he had charm, he had wit, he had a sense of calm and control around him and everything he touched. He even adopted one of our group and allowed them to call him Daddy during our visit which helped him to settle so deep set early childhood issues. Thank you Slug and Lettuce. Thank you.

J. S.Every few months I meet my sister and friend in the Slug and Lettuce. We always book because me and my sister both have mobility issues. The staff are extremely helpful and the price of the drinks are really good. The S&L on Piccadilly is in a great location just across from the Tram stop.

L.We had a really bad experience booked a table for brunch and bottomless bubbles took 45 minutes for us to receive 1 drink food come Cold was sent back and just re heated not fresh we spoke to numerous of staff and none of them sorted anything but Charlotte was absolutely amazing and her customer service was excellent and she made the whole experience for us better. So thank you so much Charlotte we really appreciate your help.

Southern fried chicken goujons are amazing but it was shadowed by the rubbery, dry texture of Weatherspoon quality steak main.
Customer service from staff could be better too as there were 4 tables waiting to be seated in front of the bar whilst the staff was having a chat in the back room, leaving the front of house fully unattended. When asked for sauces for the meal the server gone away to get me some but seconds later got distracted by another customer and my request was suddenly fully forgotten. Walking out I said thank you and good bye, the girl at the bar just looked up and pulled a face without saying anything.
The table I was sat at felt sticky and the side of the couch was badly damaged. Bathrooms were however exceptionally clean and well stocked.
L. P.Would like to personally give you a review about your security guard, she said the staff know her as little Chloe. Not only did she make us feel very welcome but she also made our night nothing but smiles and laughter such a lovely young lady🙂
N. Y.Food was amazing but we will definitely have to come back before 4pm next time, as the music was turned up very loud, louder than it has any right being without a dancefloor present. It was so loud we had to shout to hear each other, despite being sat next to each other.

H.We arrived without a table booking and the host leigh was lovely enough to let us sit in a place that was reserved but had no guests for a while..about 20 minutes later leigh informed us that we needed to move and she was sorry about the inconvenience but moved us to a different table and gave us a free shot (that we didn't deseve) for the "inconvenience". Went above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy :)

a.Really great place staff were super friendly and we received our drinks in a really prompt manner and the vibe was really good with music playing but not too loud so it’s blaring really good place to come and see in Manchester.
B. B.Went for a quick lunch (was anything but) . The app was showing everthing as out of stock took 15 minutes to sort. Food took around 30 to arrive having ordered chicken and chips, chips were over cooked. Chicken was ok. They could do so much better. The Coke was nice and cold though.

M. J.Great service and great food! I generally visit here because of how close it is to all the amenities (Arndale, bus station ect). I have always been able to get a seat and always been served quickly. The bar is clearly well managed as the staff are always busy, clearing up and serving in order to ensure a speedy service.
I would recommend any of the feast with friends, tried the all and love them all! 2-4-1 cocktails are also a massive bonus to.
I have also (pre covid) had a large work night out with the bar. The manager was able to sort us out a large seating area with balloons which was a lovely touch!
I look forwards to visiting again, keep it up guys!
