G. P.Had a lovely veggie breakfast there as always and Karen who was on the bar was absolutely amazing. My friend had a request bean's on the toast before the egg and she made sure the cheif got it right.
She's definitely an asset as will go out of her way to keep customers 😊
J. P.Really nice Slug and Lettuce in a very nice, modern area of the City Centre. I definitely recommend a visit. We went on Valentines evening for the cocktails which were lovely, friendly staff and great venue.
J. w.Me and my daughter went for lunch here today. Nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. My only concern was I ordered a fish finger wrap and fries. No way were they fish fingers, more like clumps of fish and griddle. My daughter was very pleased with her lunch. I would go back but just stick to having fries next time.

A. C.On arriving for a birthday bottomless brunch we were really disappointed that we’d just been put on a naff table in the middle of loads of workmen eating breakfast. We were all dressed up & we were surrounded by hard hats. We’d hoped that as it had been pre booked & informed it was for a birthday a little more effort would have been made. I asked a member of staff about moving us but she wasn’t overly helpful however then a staff member called Amy C (not me just happened to have the same name!) came on duty & took over our booking. We could not fault her. She was friendly, helpful, nothing was too much effort & she moved us to the perfect table to be able to enjoy our experience to the max. The food was great, drinks were flowing & it was fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend especially if Amy is on duty, thanks again

We had a great time, lovely table booked for us to use, some nibbles on the table then on to make 2 lovely cocktails. Recommended. C. D.Fantastic bar, friendly staff that were all very accommodating. Gets busy to be expected for a city centre bar. Toilets are upstairs which may be an issue for some people not for me and my party. Otherwise no complaints

L. W.came here for a drink today and a lady passed out behind me unexpectedly. The bouncer called Frank who is a trained nurse dealt with the situation so professionally and ensured she was okay. I have never seen a bouncer with such compassion and care and I just wanted to say how amazing he dealt with such a scary situation.

Lime pieces hand picked put in a glass, mint squeezed by hand and put in the glass... Mmm 🙄 no straws were offered. Food whilst hot and ok a portion of lasagne was disappointingly small. Either put in a smaller dish or not! Cold inside the building. Overall... Disappointed!!

J.Quite possibly the strangest S&L I've ever been to, very unusual interior, and sadly so much scaffold outside that it felt like being on a building site.
Music was a bit loud for 5pm, and struggling to hear each other across a table.
Staff were friendly though, and drinks were cold, so not all bad!

However, the young bouncer on the door seemed to be very cocky and tried to be intimidating. The older more professional bouncer took over and made us feel much more comfortable. Have been out on two dates recently and spent the bulk of both evenings here, and for good reason - brilliant and friendly staff, a pleasant atmosphere with tasteful decor and a nice outside area overlooking the Irwell, and fantastic cocktails and shots at a reasonable price. What more could you want?

A. S.I was surprised as this wouldn't normally be my first choice, but the slug was very nice. I went with a friend, we didn't eat but only had drinks. The prices where very good value for money, well after all its Manchester. The atmosphere was laid back and the view overlooking the river made it so much more pleasant and to crown the visit off, the staff, well these guys and girls deserve a 10 out of 10, so helpful and attentive, I for sure will definitely go back. But I have to say that on the day I passed the premises, from what I could see was mind blowing.
After visiting the premises recently in the last twenty four hours I can say that I have been blown away by the experience of my first visit to the premises, first of all the impression was wow, service by the staff were very excellent and helpful.
Beer and lager selection was excellent along with a well stocked selection of wines and spirits.
All in all a totally enjoyable experience for a tourist like me.
All in all I have to say that I look forward to returning to the premises in the near future.

The tables were a bit wobbly and there was quite a big draft from the back door opening and closing, but it was far from a nuisance to the evening.

M. H.Came here as part of a corporate evening so had a reserved area and food and drink provided so can't comment on general service and prices. Food was really good and varied, no complaints at all. Selection of beers etc in our own fridge so no queuing at the bar. Seemed a friendly atmosphere throughout so would go again as a regular punter.

Now the bad bit, My grandson had chicken goujons and chips. I had to ask for the chicken to be exchanged as it was so hard he couldn't bite it. This was done with a smile by the lovely waitress only to be served with RAW on the inside chicken goujons . The waitress was horrified when I called her back again and the third time my little grandson received spicy goujons which he didn't like. I didn't get the blonde wavy haired waitresses name but she was so professional and caring she didn't charge for the children's meals even though one was fine..... That girl is a credit to the slug and lettuce...

G. M.An old Kentish Oast house converted into a bar and plonked in the middle of Manchester's Spinningfields district. Looks odd and fantastically quirky. Inside they serve good beer and it's always got a good atmosphere. They've recently improved the outside area to offer cover for visitors.
D. S.Chain restaurant on the banks of the River Irwell can sit inside or outside overlooking the river. They have fantastic offers throughout the week such as 50% off on Mondays, I've had the burger there and the duck wrap and both were excellent. Also great cocktails on offer too. The only downside really is the location, although it's based in Spinningfields it's really tucked away in a corner where nobody goes.
N. P.Came to eat originally but it was a bit lively for that and we opted to go somewhere else, whilst there we enjoyed it and the bar staff went out of their way to mix great drinks for us. 2 for 1 cocktails were a definite plus!
O. N.The Slug and Lettuce is you average chain pub situated on the edge of Spinningfields with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the canal. The food is OK for the price but they do 50% off everything on Monday which make it much more reasonable. Selection of ales could be better with only one real ale on tap. Service is fast and usually friendly.
