Great atmosphere, DJ really gets the crowd going. So nice to go out and dance again with a good crowd of people. A great city centre late-night bar. Chilled vibes. Trainers welcomed.

Upstairs and outdoors in the Northern Quarter - a real gem with unique outdoor feeling in the middle of the city. At night it reminded me of dark evenings in florida but without the depressing humidity. There is a bar upstairs in the terrace so you don't have to go down to get drinks and the staff were lovely, really helpful with the drinks as we descended into drunkenness- eventually leaving at around 0300 in the morning.

Was looking for a quiet and cosy place to have a drink drink. We arrived around 2/3 o'clock so perfect timing for us. Place is very spacious and they have a great selection of drinks, both bottled and tap!

Can’t visit NQ without diving into Terrace for a bevi. Terrace for rooftop terrace, great for the summer and winter alike. A massive selection of drinks to suit every taste in a deceptively huge bar. A must visit if visiting the Northern Quarter.

The rooftop oasis bar is a lovely sun trap in the heart of the Northern Quarter, it also has a covered area. The selection of cask ales is excellent, with service provided by friendly, happy staff. An eclectic mix of human patrons ensures a vibrant laughter filled atmosphere where you can’t fail to feel happy. I have yet to try any of the delicious looking cocktails on offer, but I will on my next visit. #PhilipSmithLawrence

Plenty of outdoor seating. Some choice of beers though less on draught likely due to COVID (previously there has been a good selection of guest ales on draught). There was a wide selection of varieties though so there should be something to please all palates and the partnership with noi quattro gives access to beyond excellent pizza of an authentic wood fired style with excellent ingredients for toppings.

I love this bar. Very friendly bar staff and great drinks! They also make a pretty good hot chocolate if you don't fancy alcohol. Gets busy at the weekend and sometimes has live dj's. In the summer there is a great roof terrace available too. And ladies - the toilets are clean.

Great bar featuring excellent cocktails and good real ale. The décor is very nice, with dim lighting. It's a busy bar and attracts a trendy crowd. The staff are good and the food is ready as well presented. There's a large terrace up the stairs with lots of seating, tables and plants. It's a very nice place to sit in the summer.

Classic 'hipster' Northern Quarter bar, quite big inside. There are a couple of large tables so it's good for groups. As the name suggests it has a rooftop terrace but don't get carried away, it doesn't catch a lot of sun... if it's out. Great range of real ales. Food is decent but there are better places to eat in the area. Go here for the atmosphere, hip hop and good beer.

A good place to go if you're in Northern Quarter on a night out. Good music and cool staff. There can be a bit of a wait for the bar as it's not the biggest considering the size of the place. Also as it's so narrow at that end you can get a bit squashed. Still, a nice venue on a night out.

We generally always end up here on a weekend later on in the evening, this is a great spot to go for a dance around 11pm - 2am I find and then we would normally move on. The music is pretty eclectic but normal in the hip-hop/rnb genre. On the whole a good atmosphere and pretty laid back.

Been here a few times now and the atmosphere is always good as is the beer. Usually at least 8 taps on that do rotate plus a couple of cask ales and a hreat selction of bottles and cans. There is a good roof terrace if you can get a seat too!!

Arguably one of the nicest bars in NQ. As it’s suitable for anytime in the week. A quiet drink in the week or more of a dance on the weekend. Great atmosphere with a roof terrace which is unique to the city.

Fantastic and funky bar with a good selection and drinks and wonderful friendly staff. The beer is a little pricey but the venue and service is worth it. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food, but I will be returning to try some. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Wide selection of drinks, good pizzas and casual atmosphere. Tip to the owners: turn the music down. People come here to relax and talk with friends. Your establishment doesn't have a dance floor, so why turn the music up so loud that it prevents people from hearing each other? Identify your clientele (casual relaxed crowd looking to spend time with friends) and design around them.

Terrace is a decent bar in the Northern Quarter which is always rammed at weekends. The music is generally pretty decent; Thursday night is the best (they play old school hip hop booty bangers, my personal favourite). If you are planning on going on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to queue as it’s in the middle of the NQ meaning it’s a common place for most people. Only downside is the bar staff tend to be a bit rude, and never really seem that interested in serving you (they tend to talk amongst themselves when serving which grinds my gears a bit).

They've got Westmalle Dubbel (strong dark ale)!!! It's only bottled so would be nicer on tap but hey ho, still it's one of few places in town to stock it. We found the staff to be friendly and the food and music was good.

Considering the Northern Quarter can be terribly overpriced, this wasn't too bad at all. They had a great selection of ales but as someone who prefers spirits such as Southern Comfort, I was sad to see they didn't have the brands I like. However, the food was fantastic. Best club for RnB, Hip Hop, decent drinks and takes Amex. Not pretentious. Decent crowd. Start off here or get here later, more of a bar in the day/ turns to more of a club at night. Always decent in here. Can take the Mrs.

Decent little bar in the Northern Quarter with the advantage of a medium-sized roof-top terrace from which the bar takes its name. It's a nice space in the afternoon, but you'd be wrong to think that "roof-top terrace" meant good views. It doesn't - the terrace is surrounded by taller buildings.

Went for lunch and the food was OK but the service was pretty shocking. Felt like they were all hungover, and couldn't be bothered. The waiter spilt milk on our table and hardly managed to clean it up...we also had to get up to pay as no one seemed to be coming into the restaurant area and even then they were too busy chatting. Won't be in a rush back there although it looks like it might be better in the evening...

The service was quite slow - it took about fifteen minutes until someone came to my table to take my order and another 45 minutes for the breakfast I had ordered to arrive. The food was okay but nothing special, comparable or better breakfast can be found nearby for lower prices. Since the front door sometimes doesn't shut properly it can also get quite cold inside.

Another great hipster hideaway in Manchester's Northern Quarter, Terrace is a nice restaurant/bar offering burgers, pizzas, sunday roasts and a great selection of craft and international beers. I had the beef burger with chorizo. I had actually ordered a chicken burger and chorizo, however was happy to eat this as I didn't want to wait and was ready for some food. I also was pleased to see they had the Sierra Nevada Torpedo so naturally ordered this too. It was 2 in the afternoon at this point so I thought this would be fine and it was pride! The burger was very tasty and came well presented alongside chips in a cup, salad and a homemade coleslaw. Service was a little slow and the did get my order wrong, however it is somewhere I would recommend, especially seems like a great place for an after work drink or even somewhere to meet friends before a big night.

At first appearance this looks to be a standard modern bar with exposed brickwork and reclaimed wood, the agreeable appearance notwithstanding this is one of the most balanced places in Manchester. Top quality craft beers sit side by side with above average but generic lagers, exceptional spirts alongside well known commercial ones, decent food if lacking in a huge array of vegetarian options; they've even been able to set the music volume at a unattrusive level. Simply put something for everyone.
