This is the third time I have enjoyed a Sunday Roast here and what a culinary delight it has been each and every time! The taste sensations my mouth experiences from the 🌿 herb infused vegetables is just incredible 👌 tender meat 🍖, perfectly cooked and I even had Mushroom Wellington on one visit and WOW! The Yorkshire 🍮 puddings are MAHUSSIVE and fluffy...I look forward to returning time and time again whenever I visit my granddaughter as at only 10 months old she thoroughly enjoyed the food too and nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you Bay Horse Team! 🐎

I took my parents here for my mum's birthday. Admittedly they did find the music a bit loud, but me and my partner really enjoyed it. The food was all fresh and delicious with the pie being absolute crammed with meat. My dad had the fish and said it was really nice. Definitely keen to go back soon.

The stake and ale pie and bangers and mash dishes were excellent, very tasty and generous in size. The think cut chips are so so good too. One of the sides we ordered got mixed up, the waitress made us keep the wrong one and quickly brought our the correct one. Nice atmosphere inside, perfect for Sundays.

Was really looking forward to trying this place.was a little disappointed.The decor was great very traditional.Didnt feel like the type of place were you could relax.My partner was charged for the wrong beer.Mine was slightly over priced.I would have thought if a pint of beer was priced at £6.30 the bar staff would pre warn you before you purchase to allow you the option to reconsider.Also the ale was flat and warm.Didnt enjoy it.

My second visit now and I loved the food both times. They have a great range of vegan and vegetarian options, including mushroom Wellington for sunday roast (pictured). My partner had the all day breakfast and really enjoyed it, especially the unlimited tea/coffee.

Great bar for a couple of scoops on a Sunday, class joint with a great team behind the bar. Super selection of various types of booze, enough to satisfy any bodies knees up. Will be back for a repeat Sunday session for sure. Dog friendly too and in an awesome location. Very impressed 👍🏼 Have since returned for half price food on Monday. Two of the best courses I’ve ever had. Exceptional, scotched egg, monk fish scampi and beef and ale pie. Very well done 🙌🏼👏🏻

Excellent little Victorian style gastro pub. Good selection of beers and wines and the food is just lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it's just a really comfy warm place to enjoy. The staff are outstanding, I fact just the other day whilst me and my beautiful wife were enjoying a delicious steak pie (they cook it with Guiness, so rich and tasty) She fell Into labour, a very quick and aggressive labour, without even a flinch the barstaff vaulted the bar with the graceful hands and knowledge of a tenured midwife, delivered my third beautiful daughter right there and then, Ten out of ten work, would certainly go again. Dog friendly too.

Good food- had the pork roast as a main. Desserts were a bit dry (tried the sticky toffee pudding and brownie between us). The app you have to order drinks through was fiddly and kept not putting our order through. We were a large group who had pre-booked a table and weren't placed downstairs in the seated eating area but upstairs in the bar. This meant we couldn't hear each other as it was extremely loud and busy. It also meant people drinking were standing all around our table, bumping into us as we ate and spilling their drinks down the back of several members of our party. It seems like they had overbooked and just accepted deposits and had to find somewhere for us to sit. The mains were good but I don't think I'd return because of all of this, I'd like to be able to eat without drunk people crashing into me!

The food was really good as was the service, the pies were smaller than expected but still delicious and filling. The chips were nicely cooked and the fish was really good. Staff were really friendly :) We brought our dog and they were really friendly and nice about it :) she is a big chocolate lab so we dont usually feel comfortable taking her places, it was nice to have to leave at home on her own.

Well not my usual sort of bar however the service was fantastic. From Dominic the doorman helping us find a table through to Rob serving with speed and efficiency. Cheeky Irish Host was great at his job too being just the right amount of flirty to make all the women feel special. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that the drinks were pricey. Great service though and we had a great evening. Thanks guys.

I got led to the table and told that they were understaffed because a few of them had been to Parklife. Forgot to bring out one of drinks, we had to chase twice. Our food was also really slow to cons out, a waiter came over an hour after we’d ordered our starters to say there was a mix up in the kitchen and that our starters will be on their way, and we got a free bottle of wine for the table. The starters and the roast were lovely, but by time we’d finished, we had been there for about three hours, and the bill arrived with about 5 additional things we didn’t order which got amended when we pointed it out. A real shame as food was lovely!

We came for the bottomless brunch last weekend and had a lovely experience. Friendly, attentive service and really lovely food. Our drinks were topped up regularly and we felt the whole experience was really good value for money. The only downside was our table which was in a corner, facing a wall with our back to everybody - it felt a bit isolated. We'd definitely come back again but might ask to sit somewhere else next time. Thank you BHT!

We've been trying to get a table here since lockdown ended but either friends couldn't make it or we didn't have the time. Finally managed to get down on the May Bank Holiday Monday. It was a really hot day so we decided to sit outside on the shared bench-type tables next to a trip from Blackburn who were very friendly. The doorman was incredibly friendly, as were the serving staff. Due to the heat we only had a burger and a steak with onion marmalade, along with a couple of Manchester Pilsner each. All very good, and not expensive at considering the location. Ordering outside is through the barcode sticker on your table which is a bit fiddly but a nice lunch nonetheless.

4 of us went for a meal this evening and honestly it was nothing special. Ordered food via the app as per instructions. 2 of the 3 starters came out, no sign of the 3rd. Asked the waitress then next minute 3 mains came out while 2 starters were still being eaten and the 3rd was still missing. We sent the 3 mains back and then the 4th main came out with the missing starter. Spoke to a member of staff who quite rudely told us we should have Ordered and eaten the starters then Ordered the mains if we didn't want them all served at the same time. Food was average. Wouldn't recommend or return.

Okay so I was searching online for some of the best scotch eggs in Manchester and stumbled on this little place. It doesn't look like much from outside but it is great has an amazing atmosphere. The scotch egg matched what I was looking for and I had the best steak and ale pie I have ever had here everything looks like it is made from scratch and the service is great. Honestly a place to come for good British food and some top notch booze.

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! We recently celebrated a friend’s special birthday here. It was brilliant! We had a large oval table downstairs which meant we could all talk to each other without disturbing other diners. The pub has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the Sunday lunch was nice. However, what set this apart from others was the quality of the staff. The two girls looking after us (Lauren and Olivia) were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them (and we must have tested their patience with numerous separate drink orders). They really went out of their way to help make the day perfect offering to take pictures for us, cutting and serving our cake, decorating the table etc etc They were brilliant! I will definitely be returning and would recommend it for any special occasion. Thank you!

Really like this place, have gone there a number of times now for lunch with a bottle of wine, always enjoyed it. Last time chips were awful, mentioned it to the waitress but as it wasn't a major issue didn't make a fuss and it was obvious by the barely touched portions that we had not been able to eat them. She acted very surprised and said "you do realise they are cooked in beef dripping" as if that explained it. Sorry., we are from Manchester we have eaten chip cooked in beef dripping before, the chips were just awful...... Hasn't put us off we will eat there again.

On the outside, the Bay Horse looks like a regular old pub... but inside it's got heaps of character, and feels like a really nice blend of bar and pub. There's plenty of drink choices, and though I've not had the food, I've heard great things! Check it out if you fancy a nicer pub vibe without the dirty carpets.

This place has recently had a major refit. It's very trendy with the 20 to 35+ age group pleasant back yard area with covered seating and outdoor heaters. Staff are friendly and they have an excellent range of craft ales and different drinks to suit all tastes.

Went there for their first ever pub quiz! Went there with a group of friends. Although we didn't win any prizes the atmosphere was very busy, lots of laughter and chatting. The quiz itself was decent and bought a lot of people together. There was a downstairs area and that was where the quiz was held. Entry to quiz was £2 and they also served food throughout. I will be back to challenge the quiz once more!

On my latest visit I was impressed by the number of veggie delights on the menu (the veggie sharing plate represents excellent vfm) but more importantly the exceptionally friendly, helpful and accomodating service provided by Jan - this guy's a legend. Do the local economy, the hospitality industry and yourself a favour and get down the Bay 'Orse!
