Reviews of The Blues Kitchen

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, great staff. I unfortunately didn't get the pictures of our main courses. The food is fantastic and live music is very atmospheric.
My main course was a beef brisket sandwich with bacon gravy. The beef melted in my mouth and each bite was better than the last. My girlfriend got the shrimpin' burger and said that it was fantastic, the sauce was delicious and as she has never had a shrimp style burger before, she was delighted with the outcome.
Definitely try it out if you are stuck for date ideas.

Went here for pre show dinner.
I had the smoked ribs which was so nice! The portion sizes are large and reasonable prices.
One of our group was dairy intolerant and the waitress really made an effort to make sure all the information/options were made available.
Food was served in time for our show.
Great atmosphere.

Cool place. Really love the amazing decor. Would love to know more history about the place inside. There is a cool trailer inside, which you can sit in. Very quirky and works well with the atmosphere. Pretty nice food, the buttermilk chicken is nice and burgers are good. Not had anything I've disliked. Decent prices and really friendly staff. Great for lunch too, service is quick. Took my team here a few times :)

Amazing vibe. Wide range of whiskey. Staff made sure everything was ok during the stay and was super friendly. We had the hot buffalo chicken burger and the shrimp taco salad, both super yummy! We will go back if we go to Manchester again.

We decided to take a chance & come here for a bite to eat before we were going to the Theatre. We were tempted in by their 50% off food during January. Best decision of the night, we will definitely be going back here. It is a big place and when we got there at 5pm, there were plenty of tables. 2 hours later, it was busy. All the staff are amazing, especially Thomas & Monica. We had the ribs, Beef brisket sandwich and the Big burger. I also had one of the cocktails too. The service is fantastic, friendly & quick. The food and drink was delicious. As we were celebrating a special occasion, Thomas, Monica and the others made sure that it was extra special and a night to remember. I was bowled over by their kindness. It is a place were I will definitely go for food when I'm in town again. I have a feeling that it is also going to be a favourite for my 22 year old son, girlfriend & friends to go for drinks too as it is especially appealing to their age group too.

Interesting music, food and bar venue in the heart of Manchester. Lovely authentic surroundings, slightly dim lighting inside gives the feel of old jazz clubs. Cool. Excellent, friendly, efficient staff. Vegan options available, I had the vegan burger which was good but quite pricey but it's city centre prices people. Excellent cool jazz, blues live music too. Well worth a visit.
J. A.
Food was amazing, the atmosphere was alive. A fantastic experience! Our only regret was the music was just getting started when it was time to leave, if we go again we would go slightly later in the evening.
N. W.
The food, service, decor and ambience - all 5 stars!
Highly recommend the big shrimpin and big boss burgers. Also the popcorn squid and the oreo donuts were delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the place had a great vibe. We'll be back soon!
F. P.
Best burger I've had in years(vegetarian or otherwise!), very good cocktails, great atmosphere (the live Gospel choir show must be experienced!)and can't praise the lovely staff enough; genuinely polite, sweet and accommodating on a very busy Saturday afternoon. 10/10 for me 👍🏻
A. K.
Came to Blues Kitchen on a weekday for lunch with friends. Nice classy decor inside. Staff were friendly, attentive and polite.
Managed to get the lunchtime deal with meal and a drink. The Hot Chicken Buffalo Sandwich was delicious, and they had a good range of beers and beverages. The midweek lunch deal made the price quite good value too.
Worth coming to when in the West side of Manchester!

Came for dinner and was very impressed by the food! Artichoke dip to start (reminded me of the dip you get in America, so cheesy and delicious!), the very sizeable prawn taco salad, and stunning oreo donuts to finish. Great choice of cocktails, all quite expensive but a nice treat and live music began as we were leaving. Great atmosphere, very accommodating, friendly staff and lovely food!
L. T.
We visited for a few cocktails and something to eat before we watched a show at theatre opposite. Weds was a great day to visit as the cocktails were only £6 each! Food was lovely and the staff helped us choose some great cocktails. Can't wait to go back. The staff only other times ive visited here has been on really busy weekends so it was nice to go when it was a little quieter.

Lucy looked after us. She was amazing! A fine example of excellent customer service. She is a shining light in the hospitality industry.
Food, service and atmosphere all first class.

Buzzing spot with great atmosphere & quirky interior! We popped in on a Friday night as every other bar in the area was full. The place was large enough that even though it was quite busy, there was still space to find a seat. Cocktail I had (Burnt Pear Old Fashioned) was punchy and delicious. Toilets here are gorgeous too! Great for groups rather than couples I think as it was lively inside most of the time. We only had drinks so can’t speak much for the food quality and only basing our experience on drinks and ease of getting in :)
G. S.
Amazing spot with exceptional service! Great meal deal with loads of options - I tried their smoked ribs! Huge portion, tasty food and overall great value! I'll be back for more!
E. R.
Cool interior, staff are super friendly and will help you make a choice if stuck (like me). Food quality is excellent, along with the drinks and the vibe inside. We arrived and was given the private dining area (upgrade in my opinion) and was given the option to move if we wanted to. Great place and would come again!
S. Y.
Went here to see Kyoto Jazz Massive. Great venue, amazing artwork on walls. Loved the lighting. The sound was great too. Will definitely go back.
M.
Some mexican brunch stuff didn’t look good but taste was nice, environment atmosphere, is gorgeous, staffs were super friendly and is always around to see if everything is okay.
K. R.
Fantastic night, went on a Saturday night for food and music,
We had the table for 2 hours the sat on chairs by the downstairs stage to listen to a wonderful singer, later on it got very busy, staff were all fabulous,
Later on in the evening we we upstairs to the bar were there was a band on what were absolutely incredible,
Good drinks selection and food was great,
Vegan and vegetarian options too
Highly recommend
H. W.
Taking our order was slow, but was worth the wait the food was very tasty and great value for money, but was abit confused about the live music as on their website said they had live music on and their wasn't when we got their, which was a shame.
M. B.
Such a cool place for live music! We booked before hand, so we got access to upstairs which had another band on, all the music was amazing and added to the chilled but buzzy vibe. The drinks aren’t cheap but it’s definitely worth it for the atmosphere!
J. P.
I had very high expectations for this place from reviews and the gorgeous interior, however it just didn’t live up to that. The service was great and prompt but food was lacking, both mine and my boyfriends mains (burger and chips) came lukewarm as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while and was generally lacking a bit in flavour and presentation, but the mac and cheese we had as a starter was very nice. I feel as though this place would be better suited for evenings drinks and live music and not for a date night meal as they had a lovely looking cocktail menu
C. E.
Amazing food, great staff, great music, memorable design!!
We came both during the day to have lunch and at night for the live band and it did not disappoint. Would definitely come back
D. H.
A truly atmospheric new Orleans style restaurant. With lovely staff. Lively music and nice food. Although slightly. More expensive than some of the other restaurants around the area. The atmosphere makes this place a truly unique experience in Manchester
A. C.
Staff were lovely, food amazing. Love the vibe in here, nicely decorated/themed. I had the brisket roll with bacon gravy and it was delicious!
L. T.
Food was delicious, staff are very nice and efficient, service was quick price is good too. Would definitely recommend for families, friends and good date place.
N. K.
Had a really good bottomless brunch here. Staff were amazing, made sure our glasses were topped up and our group was well looked after.
Food was great and staff aptly dressed up for Halloween 🎃
J. W.
Me and a small group went for a birthday and found the staff to be incredibly accomodating, they really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the night and we have been recommending the Blue Kitchen ever since.
The music was fantastic, then the live music started and it got even better!
Shout out to Scotty who sat and had a chat with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves!
c. s.
The staff are sooooo good!!!! They sat with my parents and engaged informally as we ordered, took photos, just generally so polite and friendly. This plus the decor, the music, the vibe. We had an absolutely fantastic time.
J. D.
Great food like really spot on , our server Kevin was great ,really hospitable , friendly and very attentive . The decor and ambience of the place ate excellent and the concert hall up stairs was fantastic after our meal
J. N.
If you haven’t eaten here, what are you doing?
I had the pleasure of dining here for the lunchtime menu and it was by far the best experience I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. The service, the atmosphere, the beer and most importantly the cuisine.
I was greeted by Julian the Canadian. He put the “B” in Blues. Julian was a Michelin star quality to say the least.
I ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. The meat was a melt in mouth, perfectly seasoned and was accompanied by an excellent salad.
The experience was 10/10. For a £10 per head on the lunchtime menu they could easily charge £40 per head and you wouldn’t bat an eyelid. That’s the standard.
Blues. Keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t change.

Came here for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. The food was so good and was a cheap price for the portion we got. We also got some free doughnuts on the house because unfortunately they was out of one of the items we ordered, this was such a nice gesture. Lovely atmosphere and the live music is a nice touch. The staff are so attentive too, unfortunately I didn't get names but everyone was amazing and took good care of everything. Will definitely be coming back!!
F. W.
Best. Pancakes. Ever. Came in for bottomless brunch on Sunday and we went to town!! The buttermilk pancakes were the fluffiest & tastiest I've ever had. We were celebrating my friends birthday so decided to go for bottomless drinks too which were great value for what we paid. The food was the star of the show tho, we all had different options and all my friends said how good the food quality was. Great day celebrating & best bottomless brunch we've had in Manchester for sure.
D. L.
Generally a nice venue but on our visit it was extremely loud, uncomfortably so actually. Our table was nice and clean however there was very noticeable dust on the divide between tables which was always in the eye line. The food was nice however I wouldn't recommend the Philly Cheese Steak as it is smaller than an iced finger bun from a bakery. Staff were excellent and very attentive without being intrusive. Drinks are, in my opinion, 25% overpriced.
Will give the place another visit at a supposed quieter time of year to compare for the future.
F. E.
Very pleasant staff, although not sure how covid-safe sitting with customers whilst they're ordering and paying is. No masks worn. Food was nice, especially cauliflower wings, although we weren't so fussed for the fries. Music was good. Really loved the decor. Gig upstairs wasnt sold out so not overcrowded

Tuesday 31st at the #theblueskitchen manchester
Brilliant night out to see the #grammywinner winner
#Cedricburnside accompanied by his "Uncle" on drums
The support act #paolofuschi was fantastic as well.
First time visiting this venue.
My friend's and I had a lovely meal before the gig, one meal wasn't up to standard and when we told the waitress she immediately sorted it out and replaced it with a another choice of dish.
The food arrived quickly and hot and was delicious. We had coffee's and water to drink, again served quickly and was also delicious and all reasonably priced.
Staff were very friendly and helpful as stated explaining the menu and when the gig would be starting also the staff on the door let us go upstairs to the consert room to have a look as one of my friends could not stay for the gig, but she could get a bit of atmosphere.
Also at the end of the show the door staff were very helpful to a frail elderly gentleman, helping him in his taxi and another gentleman who was in a wheelchair.
We will definitely be going again.

I couldn’t speak more highly of Blues kitchen. From the moment we entered on Monday evening to the moment we left, we were given world class service from start to finish. Sophie was our sever for the evening and what a delight she was. She checked on us regularly throughout the evening to see how we were getting on with food and drinks. The food was incredible and couldn’t recommend the Mac and cheese enough! My other half is a big fan of his bourbon’s and couldn’t have been more delighted when they brought the bottle of Van Winkle over for us to look at and take pictures off. The music fitted perfectly with the aesthetics and mood of the building. We honestly cannot wait to come back and make this our regular date night joint! Thank you for an amazing night out 💙
K. S.
Brilliant place to eat out. Fresh food , always hot , excellent service . So much to look at while you are there in the former eye hospital . So worth a trip
V. L.
Came here for a friend's birthday dinner and was so happy with the food, service, and atmosphere! Our table was for 2 hours and they weren't pushy at all. We decided on not taking dessert and were pleasantly surprised that they gave us oreo donuts for our friend's birthday anyway! Would 100% recommend it for a small group looking for a dinner place. It has good vibes. We were right near a speaker but we were sat close enough in a booth that we could still chat comfortably and enjoy the music at the same time.
I. C.
Giving 5 stars solely for the incredible lunch deal. £10 for a main dish (from a proper menu, not a little lunchtime one) and a soft drink. I ordered the smashed double cheeseburger with fries. Both the burger and the fries were perfect, a legitimate 10/10. Amazing service too
S. S.
Lovely staff. Nice girl gave my son free doughnuts after his graduation!.
Been several times. Great food and decor.
Prices are also competitive too.
Good selection of beers served by friendly staff
O. W.
The Blues Kitchen is my favourite bar restaurant in Manchester. The decor is stunning, the music is amazing and the food is too notch. All for a reasonable price! Can't go wrong with this place. Always reliable and the service is always quality! 10/10

Best food, best service, best vibe !
Went there for my birthday and honestly couldn’t have had a better time. The food was incredible for the appetisers to the mains to the desserts. Highly recommend coming here if you’re in Manchester and I could literally recommend anything but the short rib was really something else - it just melts in your mouth
The drinks were insane. There so much range and variety and you really can’t go wrong with any drinks but the cocktails were really amazing
Probably the best service I could’ve had, big shoutout for lucc and Jess for hooking it up they were super nice !
As for the atmosphere, the vibes were immaculate 🤩🤩 the blues music was super cool and the setting just hit the whole vibe
1000% recommend coming here
5/5
R. B.
Great food, amazing staff and a great atmosphere. I wanted a particular meal that they didn't have a gluten free option for so they sent one of their staff to the shop to get a gluten free ingredient so I could have the dish. 10/10 would recommend
K. G.
Great for big groups we used the private dining room, and had the banquet menu. All of us absolutely loved it and Lucy our server for the evening was phenomenal an absolute bundle of joy. Would highly recommend for any parties. Oh and the food was amazing as well just such a good vibe.
A.
I loved it here very friendly and the food was great, then we went to the club upstairs
C. F.
Came for the Drake gig at blues a couple of weeks ago and we had such a great time! We got there a bit early to have a bite to eat before the gig. Love the set up of the room & the staff were very friendly and attentive, decent drink prices and quick service too. The gig was SO good and we ended up staying for the rest of the evening to see the house band too. Class night all round!
R.
Have been a few times, but brought some family along for food this week and was so impressed! Tried the new KFC burger (not what you think). Really great to have such tasty veggie options. Definitely recommend (even if you prefer meat - seriously just give it a try!)
J. G.
Food nice but as we had to sit on the bar stools at the front rather than in the restaurant area the choice was limited. Would have preferred the seated area with comfier booths and a wider menu choice but it was a Friday night and very busy and we hadn't booked .would go again but would book next time so I can try the philly steak. I imagine when the live acts are on that it would be a good evening

Can't recall if I saw any accessibility ramps but if you can get past the stairs to the 'ground floor' hall and/or up another stair case to the top floor, it's really lovely inside. Great atmosphere, cozy and lovely venue for live music. Came here for a couple of shows and it was a fab night out! Not too busy and because of the size, it's quite an intimate venue!
A. S.
Absolutely stunning venue so fabulous & beautiful. The staff were delightful including the bouncers who sorted out a chaotic situation straight away before it escalated making us feel safe & secure in a friendly welcoming environment. Saw Tanya Stephens was an amazing intimate gig. Love this venue will be back again thank you
P. H.
Outstanding beautiful venue. Staff incredibly sincere. Excellent service from the door through to all night & leaving. We came from Chester to the Fleetwood Mac night. Jo's mobility is poor and the staff showed her to a lift and found a seat for her too. The entire place is managed so professionally with probably the best venue staff ever. Thank you.
C. B.
Came here for food before heading to the Everyman cinema and it was great. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with live music and the decor is really unique. We had the brisket for 2 which was amazing and just fell apart, and really good size portions. The highlight though was the service, our waitress was really smiley and friendly and made our meal really enjoyable. Unfortunately didn’t catch her name but she wears glasses and told us she is a vegetarian. She went above and beyond and was just really pleasant, absolutely brilliant service. Thank you
A. D.
Celebrated my graduation meal here last week with some family and friends and all I can say is WOW. Some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. All of my friends and family couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the food & service so much so, we booked in a table the day afterwards to try more of the menu. We were so well looked after by all the staff working too and they really made my graduation special. Special shout out to the chefs, you guys are doing a great job on making all the food so tasty.
M. C.
Booked our usual late night table in the restaurant on Saturday for date night. It's me and my partners favourite place to go for cocktails on date night. Love the atmosphere, music, service & drinks hence the reason we can't stay away!
E. R.
decided to come down after a work meal for some drinks. Little bit of a queue but they got us in pretty quick. Whole team was super friendly, even the bouncers. We had a brilliant night! X
D. B.
Loved the atmosphere here. The décor is stunning & staff are brilliant. Just came in for drinks, but ended up trying some bits of bar food too, which were incredible! Have to come back again soon.
Z. S.
A three page whiskey menu!! This place is a must for whiskey lovers, and has a great range of cocktails, gins, rums, and beers too. Small and cosy, atmospheric, with vibes of a 20s flapper bar with tiled walls and ceiling, and art deco lights. An old fashioned caravan in the corner adds to the quirk.
Not the cheapest place, but the busiest place we visited on this night, and having experienced the bar it's easy to see why people keep returning there.
A. S.
Heard about their new Hip Hop barbecue event so had to give it a try! Such a cool concept - live orchestra playing the best tunes. Good food & amazing service too!
T. C.
Superb venue, with a first class concert area upstairs. The staff are brilliant. The Blues Kitchen has its own unique feel and atmosphere, you know you're somewhere special as soon as you walk in. One of the best places in Manchester.
K. E.
Best Friday night in a long time upstairs. Vibe was electric and the bands were sick. Venue is incredible too - loads of cool artwork around. Can't wait to come back again soon!
T. G.
Lunch + soft drink for 10 pounds, an additional 2 pounds gets you any pint you'd like. Decent food, portions aren't that large. Interior design looks great. Service is charged separately.
R. C.
Had a fantastic time here for my partner's birthday. We arrived slightly ahead of schedule and waited in the bar for our table to be ready, but it didn't take long. The bar and surrounding area at the front can get very noisy and busy on live music evenings, but the bar staff were nice and patient when taking orders.
The dining area is towards the back and separated just enough to lower the volume to a chattable level. Booths give you a sense of privacy while not restricting you from enjoying the live music, which was also good. The waiter made sure to squat down to our table level when discussing orders so we could easily hear each other and was friendly.
The food was delicious and excellent quality. Not a huge menu but what there was, was really good. They did a wide variety of drinks including mocktails, which bring teetotal I was happy to see. They even gave my partner a free shot as we were leaving because it was her birthday.
Overall we had a really good time and would go again and recommend it to others.
S.
Was really looking forward to our visit and had an unbelievable time. The private dining room is absolutely breath-taking and food was just as impressive. Our hosts were really engaging and entertaining - loved it!
I.
Some very tasty food choices and a great selection of American whiskey.
The staff are all young but are so so courteous and helpful.
They also have regular live music on with some class artists.
Book if you can as it gets busy.
R. W.
Fantastic food and service. We had beef ribs for two and ordered it again straight after as it was so nice. The music and atmosphere is perfect and the service is attentive and unique. Will definitely return.
A. K.
Coming in from Singapore on a short layover and looking to experience Manchester on a Saturday night, we were recommended The Blues Kitchen for some grub and drinks. We walked in around 8:30 on a Saturday evening without a reservation. However with a little help from our server Annie, she managed to seat me and my friends (3pax) in a booth. She was excellent! Friendly, service oriented(super helpful) and knowledgeable(great recommendations) despite it being her first week on the job. Great service and friendly people from hosts, to servers and bartenders. Great vibe and atmosphere, while the food was decent(7/10). Throughly enjoyed our night out!
T. H.
We came in for a quick dinner and were not disappointed. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The food was fast and amazing. We will definitely return and hope that you do too.
M. W.
Unique bar. Large bar with lots of tables and seats, ranging from booths to 2-3 seaters. Very good live music. Not the sort of place to go to meet new people. Very loud and busy, but good for the type of bar. Drinks are definitely on the expensive side. Food looked good but I didn't try
S. S.
The draft here was really flat. The staff did check the gas lines to see if it could be resolved but with no luck. Food was okay, chicken burger was good but the fries and beef burger were overcooked unfortunately on our visit. The bar/restaurant itself is a really nice and unique venue
R. R.
Every time I go here there seems to be an issue with the set up for the performers. This time, there was an issue with connecting the bass players sound which resulted in the concert being delayed. On the positive, the atmosphere is good and there are high quality acts that play here which you don't see very often at other venues or in the UK.
B. M.
Great decorations and atmosphere, food is great and cocktails okey nothing amazing.
K. S.
Service was amazing, from when you enter all the staff was kind, friendly and helpful. I believe we had a girl called Lucc service us, best service i've ever had at any restaurant. The manager was also amazing
D. H.
Lovely place, nice vibe. Doorman can be a bit of a hassle. We had a booking for 11.30pm but they were adamant that doesn’t exist and we had to join the queue even when showing them confirmation. We did eventually manage to be let to the front desk where the FOH kindly room up to our reservation. Communication error perhaps. Either way we had a good night still! Bar staff are super friendly and attentive
a. r.
Wanted to book in for some low-key drinks for my 23rd bday last Friday and we booked in for 'after dinner drinks' (I think it's called?) It was perfect for what we were after and had a great time! Great variety of drinks, live music was fab and the service was perfection. We made it more special by pre-ordering some stuff for our arrival and even got some complimentary shots for the occasion.
S. B.
Amazing atmosphere in the Private Room. We had a great time. Our servers were so entertaining. The food was delicious and plenty for everyone. We could have stayed all night.
E. W.
Can't recommend the private dining room enough! Our server mentioned it was a newer space and its just amazing. Our group felt so looked after - staff were on hand for drinks and nothing was too much trouble!
M. M.
Attended for a live show, not a meal so can't comment on the restaurant.
Live venue very good, if somewhere dark inside, but with a good range of live shows.
Well stocked bar too. Nice akseP19 mural of Ray Charles on the wall.
C. C.
Came down for Halloween and this place delivered. We booked a few tables for drinks upstairs and planned on leaving early but as soon as the band started we just had to stay! The whole atmosphere was incredible and service didn't waiver even when it got busy.
N. C.
Such a great atmosphere here and a good place to spend your night out. Live music certainly elevates the place rather than a 'dj' playing a playlist but the song choices did seem to get a little boring towards the end of the evening veering towards karaoke wedding vibes. But still fun and our waitress Jade was fabulous and friendly!!
L. D. B.
Loved our recent trip! Split the Short Ribs sharing thing and every bit tasted fab - made even better by the price. Gorgeous main for 2 under £40!
L. K.
booked a few tables up in the concert hall for a birthday! Booking was so simple and we pre-ordered food so the night ran so smoothly! Honestly couldn't fault the service and the space is stunning - amazing!
A. G.
Amazing food, fab service! We went in on the off chance there was a free table and Scott took my details and called me about 20 minutes later to say one had come free. He was so accommodating and fun to chat to so wanted to say thank you! Everything else was fab, thanks again!
T. D.
Came here for the first time tonight. First of all Ryan at the front of house was amazing. Customer service to the max. Then Matt serving our table upstairs just took it to the next level. 10 out of 10. Will be back. Would recommend
L. W. L.
Booked a drinks area for my 25th bday in the concert hall a couple of weeks back in the upstairs room at blues. Best birthday I've had so far, the vibes were on point and their house band are out of this world! Really like the casual set up of the space and the drinks were flowing all night.
S. T.
Went to an event here, staff were lovely. My wife is pregnant and we didn't realise it was a standing event, j asked and they brought out a stool and moved us to an area where she could still see the stage which was very kind and thoughtful.
Good sound in the venue, Hells Lager and Espresso Martini on draught which was lovely.
Definitely recommended

found this place recently while looking for a midweek meal. Tried their St Louis Pork Ribs and was blown away - generous portions for such a great price! Warm welcome, great service and great atmosphere.
c. l.
Came down the other week on a Friday for the early show. Havana Musica were incredible! Great atmosphere and the DJ afterwards really kept the party going! Tickets were so easy to find as well; will definitely be coming back for more shows.
N. B.
Absolutely amazing and the whole night was made even more so by the amazing Annie. Annie went out of her way to ensure that our evening was perfect and really went that extra mile. Annie is an absolute credit to The Blues Kitchen!

Been a few times for food, but came down for a bigger celebration and was recommended their exclusive dining space. We loved the food; sharing style worked perfectly for us. Can't fault the service either; the entire experience was amazing!

Came in last minute around 11 on Saturday hoping for a table for drinks with our friends. Managed to get a table for 4 of us despite how busy it was on one of the booths in the restaurant. It was a great atmosphere, lively, fun and even got to hear the live music!! We are regulars here and love their whiskey selection so asked for recommendations from one of the lovely servers who were so knowledgeable about all of the different options!! Can't wait to visit again.
A. H.
Amazing place both downstairs & the live venue upstairs. The staff were fabulous. Special shout to Tom who makes cocktails with care & passion. Highly recommended.
A. T.
Loved the fleetwood mac tribute recently! Band sounded amazing and the venue is stunning. Didn't realise they had so much on through the week. Definitely a place to keep my eye on.
E.
Really nice atmosphere. The bar snack menu is great if you can't get a proper food table. Welcoming and friendly staff.
T. L. F. (.
Amazing food, all the staff are fabulous! However we weren't notified that you are charged extra for drinks when music is live. I think it should be made clear so people don't get a nasty shock when paying the bill.
P. C.
We had an amazing time in the Blues Kitchen restaurant last night for my boyfriends birthday, food and drinks were 10/10. Aoife was a great host with great recommendations and the rest of the staff were fab and really accommodating. We’ll be making it a regular visit :)
J. B.
We have been to Blues Street today as a table of 5 for a birthday, the food was absolutely unreal, so much flavour, the service from Nicole was brilliant, the whole vibe of the place is great! Highly highly recommend!
A.
Dined in last week for the first time, lovely atmosphere, the interior is so fun to look at and the customer service was fab! Our server Liv was so fun, attentive and friendly the entire time :)
J. S.
What a wonderful venue. From the atmosphere to the food and drink it's top quality. Free live music is also amazing. Would definitely recommend.
L. T.
Brilliant atmosphere, brilliant food and fantastic staff! Highly recommended!
Price of food is average for Manchester and has some great deals throughout the week.
J. M.
Very busy on a Weeknd but great atmosphere, service and music
C.
Love the Manchester's Got Soul nights! Best party atmosphere and the live music is always booming. Service is great and everyone is so nice!
D. A.
The best experience! We booked their new private dining room and the space is incredible. We loved the sharing menus, and service was so attentive & welcoming!
B. T.
The food was excellent, took advantage of the lunchtime menu which said £10 per head, and £2 extra for a beverage instead of a soft drink. Bill came to £127 for 9 of us, which included a 10% tip - only 3 had a beverage, so we'd actually been charged full price for the beers on top of the £10 per head. Very confusing when you look at the receipt too as they charge the normal full price, then add deductions, however the deductions meant we paid £96 for 9 people, instead of the £90 expected, then the 3 beers on top. Obviously I just paid the bill, but it's something to look out for if you're going for lunch time "deal"as a group

Went to see the recent Mud Morganfield gig. Absolutely phenomenonal. Proper chicago blues.
Sound quality was amazing, could hear every instrument balanced to perfection (which is sometimes an issue at live music venues - but not here!), vocals were clear and stage presence of Mr morganfield was incredible, a true artist.
As for the venue its incredible too, lovely shabby-chic feel. Gives the atmosphere of a smokey Chicago club, without haze the cigarette smoke which was instead created by the dim lights and smoke machines.
Musicians were easy to see onstage (in concert hall upstairs), which was also illuminated well by syncopated lights.
A REALLY BIG PLUS for me was the friendliness of the staff AND the bouncers. They were very helpful with directing us and they were patient as we found our tickets and got ourselves sorted. BIG positive there.
Service was quick and friendly, a highlight was the guy that served us first and offered a recommendation to my mum as to what to order (didn't catch his name but he sounded Australian??). Very much appreciated.
100% will be returning here and urge anyone who hasn't been here already to give it a try.
Will be trying the food menu next time!
D. L.
Wicked hip-hop event on Saturday! Whole vibe was so good; amazing food and service. The orchestra sounded sick too.
A. S.
Incredible atmosphere, steep drinks but what do you expect in Manchester these days. Staff all friendly and funny, now one of my top smaller Venues, very intimate from the front row to the artist
O. G.
Came for the Beyonce Orchestra night last Friday and we had such a good time. The orchestra themselves sounded phenomenal, service was really good and everyone was so welcoming!
O. G.
Was a great a meal, lovely atmosphere. Good staff and good music too. Deffo great value for money also!
D. R.
can't fault the food, twas our own ignorance that failed us. That said, better descriptions on the menu could help a lot. Great serving staff though, always a smile and helpful
K. G.
A fantastic early evening at the Blues Kitchen. Great atmosphere in really funky surroundings and music with food and cocktails served by friendly staff. We will be back!
E. Y.
Love the Brunch Menu! Value is so good, and the food is delicious. Didn't do the Bottomless (this time), but will defo be back to try it!
H. H.
Burgers here are the BEST… made even better on sundays with 50% off. Couldn't believe it when the bill came - might have to make this a regular visit! Great options for Veggies, Vegans and meat eaters! :)
C. S.
Nice surroundings but drinks are above reasonably priced.
Entertainment was good with live band upstairs and downstairs adding to the atmosphere.
Just abit too pricy for my liking
j. w.
Cracking venue and vibe. Always worth booking ahead if wanting food at weekends
I. W.
Watched a great Ottis Reading band 👍
J. M.
Great music, great service - staff were very friendly and efficient.
Food and drinks were amazing - definitely will be coming back
T. M.
I’ve visited the Blue’s Kitchen a few times now and love the venue.
It’s a great spot to listen to live music. The drinks are a little on the costly side, but we’ll worth it.
E. P.
Love Wednesdays here- they do £6 cocktails all night long!! Taste great, price is a steal and the live music is just perfection!
F. B.
So good for the live music, a lovely cocktail or two and a proper dance. Average food and a bit pricey but a very good time to be had.
M. W.
Pros: Really friendly helpful staff, great food , good music. Cons: live music not on for long:, pricey. Overall brilliant night: def recommend.
C. B.
First time to this place, but will definitely be back. We came to see Illa-J and the gig was so sick! Venue is incredible.
J. A.
Fantastic venue, the atmosphere is amazing from entering to leaving. Staff from the venue owner to the door staff are all very professional and caring. 10/10.
E. L.
Excellent vibe - saw Ruff Trade perform - amazing energetic set, felt like a million dollars after a few hours in Blues Kitchen!!
L. G.
Absolutely fab food, good size portion no one was disappointed in any way woth their dish and a great vibe with great music!
U.
One of the best nights! Came in for drinks and a little bit of food. Everything was 10/10. Food, Service, live music too.
D. M.
Beautiful bar what was previously walkabout. Hats off to the tiler!!! Beautiful decorated and friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend
G. S.
Love the vibe and service is exceptional! Team were so accommodating. Really enjoyed our visit.
M. R.
Fantastic. Great value for money. Quality lesson in whisky blending.
You take away a 200ml bottle of your blend. Two complimentary drinks included. Highly reccommend this experience.
T.
Nice venue, quirky style, just quite dark and limited seating which ruins the atmosphere when trying to listen to the musicians
A. R. K.
Very cozy ambiance, great for live music 👌
C. M.
Always a fantastic night at Blues Kitchen. Great music, cocktails and service. We'll be back.
D. W.
Great food and very attentive service. Food was well presented and hot, the 2 things I as a chef look for. Very happy and will return in the future
A. D.
Came to check out the live music; but stayed for the food! Love the bar food - good mix of options and the best service!
K. B.
Food is spot on. Vibes unmatched, good music always on. Also can have a boogie upstairs till early hours. Highly recommend for a date or a night out.
R. C.
Great food in a unique atmosphere - the decor in this place is incredible! Nice selection of drinks as well as mouth watering food. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. My only criticism would be the urgency to get your plates from you, (sometimes before you have even finished eating) and the bill paid - my server came over with the card machine within seconds of the bill being dropped and when I said I hadn't had a chance to look at it his response was to tell me how much I owed and punch it in the card machine! Maybe give it a miss if you want a nice relaxed meal.
S. H.
Brilliant bar really nice atmosphere and the food is fantastic. We enjoyed the live music while we were eating and our waitress was very friendly would definitely return in the future
N. E.
Love coming here. A beautiful building with a great vibe. Booking for a meal is essential as it's very busy. Good but not exceptional service on this last visit, but we have had exceptional service in the past.
Live music is on most nights, but usually later on than we are often able to stay.
Would not hesitate recommending this to anyone.
A. D.
Absolutely gorgeous. Cannot recommend enough.
The atmosphere is amazing the food is incredible and the staff where lovely
10/10
J. K.
Good food and drinks, reasonably priced. Speedy service ment we had starter and main before a show at the opera House. Would definitely use again. Good atmosphere and volume level of music
J. F.
Very attractive bar with decent food and regular live music and events.
B. C.
Recently went to the Frank Ocean orchestra performance. Great venue. Can't wait to see more of it next year.
D. W.
Superb. The decor and ambience is great. We had a private caravan for a small party. The staff treated us like royalty. Especially one of the girls who I think was the manager. We also eat which was really nice.
I'd recommend The Blues Kitchen for any kind of gathering. Couple to large groups. It was great.
A. J.
Great place for food and drinks!!
Staff are really friendly and welcoming.
The food is amazing especially the corn ribs would highly recommend!!
N. P.
Great place, awesome music great drinks and the staff were just amazing! During the night someone pushed past our table and spilt our drinks and the staff were nice enough to come back with new ones (free of charge!), just helped make our night perfect! Thanks again!
E. C.
Amazing venue, with great live music, drinks and atmosphere. Fab food menu too. The staff are wonderful and create a safe environment for all to enjoy! Definitely going to become a regular here.
K. A.
Fantastic venue. Interior is a real theme on its own. Chatty staff and upstairs has a music venue with amazing sound and vibe. Looking forward to visiting again
W. W.
Awesome bar, one of my favourite in the city by far. Great drinks and great music. Waitress Martha was first class as well. Really made our evening.
V. W.
A bustling place, good music, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with helpful staff. The menu wasn't vast but delicious all the same.
C. S.
Absolute game changer, incredible deep south menu , got to have the chicken wings , don't leave without tasting them, the corn on the cob is on another level, great live bands downstairs and amazing dancing upstairs , this is a must , and as the name suggests, blues and soul .....I'm dreaming about those chicken wings
T. W.
The Blues Kitchen had a fantastic atmosphere, with a live Jazz Band, who were brilliant. The food was excellent & the staff were polite.
R. A.
Great food, great staff and super atmosphere! The buttermilk chicken is on another level 🤙🏻👌🏻
D. R.
Love the concert hall upstairs at Blues Kitchen - it's such a beautiful space that we stumbled across last Friday night! Really loved the band that were playing and we can't wait to visit again next time we're in Manchester :)
E. J.
went to see 50th Anniversary of young gifted and black and the 2 lady singers were great. A Cuban rum was ruined by tap coke that was past its best and way too sweet. More places to sit e.g. tall stools near to tall tables would have been good, as would less "smoke"
P. S.
Went to celebrate my niece being all clear from lymphoma and in a nutshell the management and waitress could not have done more! Free meal, shake and pudding!
The food was also amazing. The chicken was the best I have ever tasted and the brisket was also very good. The fries ....omg....
Well worth the 10er lunch but I would also have no hesitation paying full price.
Highly recommended.
A. J.
Booked a booth in the restaurant for drinks on Friday night for my 29th birthday with some of my friends and we had the best time! Perfect place for what we were after, live music, great cocktails & the service was top notch!
B.
Great venue. Staff are attentive, live music is always fantastic & the food isn't bad at all, either. Love this place & would recommend to anybody.
G. M.
I had an awesome evening tonight - amazing food, drink and atmosphere. There was live music tonight too and the band was great! I also wanted to give a shout out and thank you to Olly who was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful the entire evening, he really went out of his way to ensure I had a great evening which was really appreciated.
L. B.
Fantastic place!! Such a feel good vibe throughout. We ended up om the top floor (I think) possibly annpyed the security guy next to the stage getting upto mischief and dancing/acting silly, but he took it in good nature. Will definitely head back here when next in Manchester 😊
M. S.
This was the absolute best place I have ever set foot in. Every single aspect of our experience was far beyond 5 stars.
Food - best I've ever had (American)
Drinks - incredible and well priced. A very good selection on whiskey and bourbon.
Service - impecable, friendly and knowledgeable.
Band - outstanding and unique (blues, soiul, RnB)
Atmosphere - like being somewhere you have always belonged.
From the moment we stood outside we were greeted by the nicest doormen, then hostess went out of her way to find us a table on an already busy evening. Our barman got us drinks and made suggestions which produced my new favourite drink 'buffalo trace' bourbon with coke (a must try). The waitress was super friendly, speedy and full of great suggestions for our meal choices. She also arranged for a reserved table after our dinner to enjoy the live band. The band was amazing and created the best atmosphere in the bar.
We will be coming back here as many times as we possibly can. If you haven't already been, you are missing out on the best evening of your life.
D.
A great addition to the bar and music scene in Manchester. Gorgeous interior and a well-stocked bar. Staff make a big effort to make you feel welcome. Prices perhaps on the steep side for drinks. Really excited to see some live music there!
R. M.
The best food, the best personel, the best music and the best interier in the city.
I love it.
D.
Love this bar. Staff are always really attentive and so friendly and the atmosphere is really chilled and charming. Food is great here too.
A. M.
Enthusiastic service, rarely seen. We went Tues night and can honestly say the free music was better than the one we paid £40 for. Food was the business.
D. J.
Went on Friday night, Kai was absolutely amazing. Looked after us all night and give us some really good suggestions on shots and drinks to have. Highly recommend because of him!
M. L.
Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food & drinks: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I went there during the January deal and it was really good and the food came really fast.
Would recommend people to go there anytime ☺️
S. L.
Great place to enjoy learning how to make your own blended scotch whisky you can take away with you and enjoy delicious cocktails!
M. R.
Fantastic place to go for a bite to eat, drink or boogie. Real cool vibes, friendly staff. Great selection of beverages. Victorian in parts. Highly recommend.
J. H.
Nothing beats a Friday night at Blues Kitchen… delicious food, £5 happy hour cocktails & live music from the get go! The concert hall is my fav. It's the best place to be in town 😍😍
F. l.
Amazing atmosphere and incredible food I am truly surprised on how good this place was the wings were top notch with a bit of kick in them the double smash burger was lovely and the taco salad was huge and was outstanding 5 star I would totally recommend
S. C.
Don't be tricked into taking your table early 🤣
We had booked for 6.30 and 2 of us got there an hours early. Asked to sit at the bar but eere offered the table early which we happily took.
What wasn't explained was that by doing so, your alloted time started early. This meant that by 6.15 we were literally being told that so as to get a full meal we needed to order pretty much right away (before everyone was even there!)
We stalled a little but felt like we had no choice but to order so luckily as the food arrived the final part of our group literally sat down at the same time.
Shame really because the food was ok (not great for the price) but the cocktails are half price until 7pm so we did enjoy a few drinks.
The music was also far too loud - there was 4 of us at a table and we were literally shouting so we could hear each other.
Shame really but we won't be back, there's too many alternatives to risk a slightly disappointing meal
s. m.
Great live music with helpful staff, food was basically restaurant quality
K. S.
I booked here for my birthday and the service was incredible all the staff are very knowledgeable about the menus and allergies which is brilliant and when we had finished eating our food they found us a table front row of the stage to watch the performance which was also brilliant the prices where great too😊 it’s a birthday I can’t forget thank you so much ❤️
C. M.
So after seeing a recommendation on tik tok, we decided to travel from Hull for a night out and we was not disappointed.
Table service was excellent, lovely atmosphere throughout and staff where super friendly and chatty.
Would highly recommend this place to friends and family .
Keep up the good work guys. 💪
S. S.
Really enjoyed the live music! Great Chardonnay too!
A. M.
Amazing service, american style bbq food (and portion size to match) good range of beers, great cocktails with offers on Wednesdays, and good vide and live music most nights after 8pm in the bar and restaurant area.
M. G.
A great place to visit in Manchester. The decoration is beautiful with nothing coming even close in Manchester. Staff very welcoming and although a new place they seemed to know their stuff. Food and drink on point. Cocktails to try Burned Pear Old Fashioned and Ginger Mojito. Definitely I will revisit next time I'm in Manchester.

I was in Manchester for 8 days for work from the United States. My coworkers and I visited the blues kitchen on the second day of our trip and had an amazing dinner. I had the Hot Chicken sandwich and it was incredible. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The night before I flew back to the states I stopped by the blues kitchen to grab another chicken sandwich to go so I could eat at the hotel while packing up to leave. I was told by the two lovely girls at the front desk that unfortunately they do not do to-go orders but I was so determined to eat that sandwich again so I asked to speak to the manager to see if there was anything they could do. I had the pleasure of meeting Martin, the manager at the blues kitchen and expressed my love for their hot chicken sandwich and asked him if he could make an exception for this American who was dying to have their sandwich one last time before I left. Without hesitation Martin made the approval and put my order in so that I could take it back to the hotel and enjoy. Once again the sandwich was just as incredible as the first experience and I am truly thankful for getting the opportunity to eat a great meal before my trip home. Thank you Martin, Harry (our waiter the 1st time) and the Blues Kitchen for going the extra mile. I will definitely return on my next trip to the UK. Cheers!
O. B.
My absolute favourite club in all of Manchester! Cannot fault the vibes here ! Drinks are very expensive though
R. G.
Had a bottomless brunch here on Saturday for a large group of people, one of the best we’ve had in Manchester. The girl serving us was amazing and really helpful!
C. F.
Great high vibe environment. Love the energy!! Staff buzzing and helpful. Great finger food. Never ate at the restaurant.
J. R.
Amazing food, great staff and a brilliant atmosphere. Saw the band upstairs and had people of all ages dancing away.
E. L.
We had a fabulous time. The food was tasty and quick to arrive. The House Band did a great job of playing the Ziggy Stardust album. Top night
Z. E.
Service was good, I went for the chicken burger which was halal, came with side of crispy fries. The burger was different but nice and on there was live music which was a bonus.
L.
Really great service and the food was great, really decent portions, try the Honey Butter Cornbread!
D. B.
Great atmosphere and selection of drinks. Food menu was fairly limited but chicken wings were great.
r. s.
Nice atmosphere with great decor staff and selection of drinks. Bands are not too loud and you can have a conversation
R. I.
Good vibe, bar staff were great and friendly, apologetic about any waiting time etc, live band was great and added to the good atmosphere
J. J.
A nice place to visit. The food was ok but the live bands and entertainment was great and it had lovely atmosphere!
A. S.
Food was fantastic. Also, best toilets in Manchester, clean, cubicle doors that open outwards so you're not trapped.
S. G.
First time to the Blue kitchen with definitely be back. Staff were brilliant and so friendly. The food was excellent and a great choice.
d. c.
Loved the atmosphere and live music, bit of a wait to be served though

H. D.
Fabulous staff (thank you Finn!) And the best burger I've ever had! Booked out the caravan for my birthday and would highly recommend. The décor in the whole venue is beautiful and the music (live bands often too) is great. Current fave place in town. Fancy but chilled
E. G.
Amazing atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Great selection of drinks and the live music was fantastic.
Highly recommend
J. C.
Came for a meal for a friend's birthday. We were in the side room for large groups, not sure of it's name. The room was great, a bit separate from the main area so nice and private. We had the set menu which consisted of 3 amazing courses, absolutely loads of delicious food included in each. Nice cocktails and drinks as well. The service was amazing, we had a problem with the bill which they sorted out with no hassle at all! Would highly recommend.
p. s.
Really good ambiance! Enjoyed the vibe and really quick service.
p. f.
Great place to listen to live music and eat.
We really enjoyed our time there.
Thank you
A. F. V.
The smashed burger is amazing. Very nice atmosphere and music.
Walk-in welcome
M. M.
Came here on Saturday night for my friends birthday. Wow, what a place, amazing music, super friendly staff and the atmosphere is incredible with the live bands. We were immediately impressed upon arrival by the warm and friendly greeting of the doorman at the bottom of the steps. His name is Simon and we just want to say thank you to him for making us feel very welcome, very safe and confident we made the right choice in visiting blues kitchen. Such a lovely guy ans even when my mum was drunk he being a gentleman helped her by the hand down the stairs lol All in all the best night ever in Manchester. Thank you
A. B.
It’s such a nice vibe in here. Not too noisy but a real buzz. My meal arrived cold but was handled superbly with a hot meal delivered minutes later and an apology. Food is excellent. The donuts for desert are out of this world. Note they need the table back after 2 hours but we sat at the bar and got the same great service and had deserts there. Great experience all round
s. c.
Food was ok. Great service. No live music!
T. P.
Visited earlier today (Friday afternoon) for my mums birthday, and everything was awesome. From the really friendly welcome right through to paying the bill, everything was excellent. We were looked after by Neve, and she was amazing. Extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the decor is incredible. Will definitely be back!
P. H.
Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely decor. Excellent service.
A. R.
The venue is so lovely, beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere. The food and cocktails are reasonably priced. The food, in particular the brisket sandwich with gravy dip, was amazing! Staff we're friendly, service was a little slow but it did get very busy so this can be forgiven. Would highly recommend!
C. V.
Abigail who runs the customer service team for Manchester's Blue Kitchen, is possibly the BEST customer service advisor within hospitality that I have ever come across.
She helped me to not only arrange our evening seamlessly, she was on hand to support both via email and telephone as our plans chopped and changed.
Abigail is a credit to Blues Kitchen and I'd like to thank her personally for her efforts in ensuring that we not only had the best table in the house, but that we then had the best evening.
The atmosphere and table service were excellent! The staff, super helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious and even though our menu choice was bar food, it really was very good indeed.
The band that played in the evening we're awesome although it felt quite late when they came on at 10pm... We were ready for some live music at 8pm :)
We shall undoubtedly return!
Blues Kitchen is one of my favorite fun spots in London and I'm super pleased that not only have they moved to Manchester, where I now live, that we had such a fabulous time there!
Thanks again Abigail & Team! Top Job! :)
S. G.
A brilliant experience.
Laid back atmosphere.
Great food and drink.
Love the decor.
5 star
T. F.
Same great vibe you find in the Blues Kitchen venues in London. Live music and cocktails were great. Make sure to get discounted cocktails for a fiver by ordering the cocktails but their exact name in the menu.
j. I.
I love going to the blues kitchen! Definitely one of my favourite places in Manchester. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are amazing. Big super thank you to Ollie who served us last night. He provided fabulous service, made us feel super welcome, took good care of us. And he recommended all the best things on the menu. The cheese spring rolls and cornbread he recommended to us were 10 out of 5 stars. This is why I'm happy to always come back with my friends.

Would have been a 5 star review but for the actions of some of the staff. May I first say that the girl on the desk was fantastic. Great customer service & a wonderful asset to your business. The same goes for the girl who served our meal. Attentive & knowledgeable without being at your elbow constantly. The meal we had was very tasty & reasonably priced considering the ambiance that goes with it. The live music was good & the whole place had a good vibe to it. I wish the same could be said for the waiter carrying a small tray with glasses who literally pushed me out of his way but the real “let down” was the incredibly surly & rude chap behind the bar. After waiting to be served (one guy was rushing about serving several customers whilst two of his colleagues stood back and chatted…) I caught the eye of one fellow behind the bar chatting to his colleague. He immediately looked away & continued chatting but looked back a few seconds later to see if I was still trying to get his attention. This second time I beckoned him over & asked for two drinks. He seemed very put-out,complaining that he’d serve me but “had so much to do…”. He placed our drinks further up the bar, needing our having to move around several customers to get them. He then presented the card terminal another several feet further up the bar needing me having to climb around another few customers to reach it. At no point did he attempt to come to us nor did we receive an “please” or “thank you”. In all he looked very put out to have been interrupted in his conversation with his mate & wanted to mess me about as much as possible. Not a great deal in the grand scheme of things but it did sour what was a good time at the Blues Kitchen.
C. T.
Live acts upstairs in the hall and downstairs in the bar/restaurant, always super busy so best to book. Friendly and attentive staff.
C.
First time visiting today. Staff were wonderful. Lucy, who assisted us throughout our dining experience, was exceptional. She was attentive and catered to our dietary needs. Food was fantastic, served alongside ambient mood lighting relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be returning for live music and food
D. b.
Really nice. £5 cocktails 🍸 can't say no to that and the barmaid with blonde slices made me a cocktail they didn't have on the menu. Great service. !
T. P.
Nice staff and atmosphere. However, drinks and food were below expectations and overpriced.
L. L.
George and Liv are amazing! Excellent customer service. 10/10 recommend. Love xxx
E. B.
I didn’t catch our waiters name unfortunately but he was Australian. Please thank him for our amazing time at the restaurant. The food was lovely and the service was the best I’ve ever had when eating out. Would really recommend!
A. B.
Very busy even on a mon evening which is great, had wings, spinach and artichoke dip (which was highlight) and short rib for 2 main all good, only let down was cheeseburger spring rolls £8 for 2 and were very pale. Sauce that came with was way over salted (I love strong flavours but was far too much) delicious Bloody Mary and good drinks selection. A uniform would be helpful as we had no idea who worked there when we needed something!
C. S.
Great little venue but unfortunately the cloak room wasn't available, this is vital for me at a gig!
m. f.
Great atmosphere and food. Door staff are professional and welcoming little touches like opening taxi doors and really set the standard for what is truly a great night out. The ribs on the menu are amazing and all the staff are nice.
Update
Returned on Saturday night and it was well worth it from the perfect duo of Rory and Andre at the doors to the fantastic Fabio and Alex on the ground floor. We'll worth a night out.
P. H.
Popped in for a quiet drink, anything but, however the atmosphere was superb and service par excellence.
I. V.
Service was great, cocktails and food it was well nice 😋 defo coming back
B. S.
All the staff were amaaazing. Ollie was especially incredible and absolutely made our night, hands down the best service I've had in as long as I can remember! The food was also unreal, cocktails and drinks were faaab. Can't fault a thing and super excited to come back xx

Great atmosphere, good music, social place Ideal for meet up with friends! Great drinks! I loved it!
L. R.
Great option for a night out! Love the live music and their drinks are reasonably priced
J. D.
Amazing restaurant, with amazing food. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and the live band were out of this world! We went for a friends birthday and he really enjoyed himself. Highly recommend
G. W.
Absolutely lovely atmosphere! Great food and Anais is a wonderful host 🥰 Would definitely recommend for nice cocktails, good small plates/burgers/mains and wonderful decor!

Always top atmosphere evert time we've been never had a bad night there
S. O.
Couldnt fault anything, service, atmosphere & the food/drinks were all perfect. We will deffo be back!
f. m.
We had a nice meal then crossed the road to the opera house for a fantastic show south Pacific the cast were super stars all of them loved it
s. d.
I love blues kitchen as the standard of the musicians is so high and its a cool place with friendly bar staff, however I wish they would put some chairs and tables out and have hooks on shelves.. women have bags, a jacket (cloak room not always open) and a glass of wine we need somewhere to rest our stuff or hang our bags so we can dance!PLEASE 🙄😊
J. G.
Nice bar, good live music and a decent whisky menu 👌
K. M.
Great place for cocktails & good beers. Lots of choice on spirits (apart from gin - still a good selection, but not so extensive)
D. L.
Had an absolutely amazing time last night -Sugaray Rayford was fabulous-blues music at its best.
h. t.
Love it, the atmosphere and the live music made it a perfect venue for an evening out
H. S.
Lovely food, great staff, awesome music venue..
M. V.
What a great vibe here. Friendly staff, live blues band, good burgers and lots of Bourbon to choose from - both corn and rye. Will be going back to the upstairs when a big act is on
T. W.
Brilliant atmosphere, great music, staff were really friendly and helpful, I will be going back many times.
C. D.
Good food and atmosphere and good service which they acknowledge with service charge of 12.5% on bill. Wouldn't go too often as can get expensive.
C. C.
Very nice and relaxing spot. Great cocktails, nice vibe and good place to go with friends or date.
H. M.
I’ve come here endlessly and always had an amazing time, but Ashley, he was the best waiter I’ve ever met :)
S. T.
Food and drinks are always great at any of the Blues Kitchen locations! They did however forget to give us our leftovers to take away.
B. R.
Awesome staff, really welcoming from start to finish the decor is stunning and the food equally so.
A. C. C.
Good food good value we went at lunchtime waiting staff were wonderful
C. W.
Great place, great food, good value but very noisy when you are trying to chat.
P. W.
One of the best nights I have had in long time
F. V.
Love this spot for cocktails and a natter with friends on a weekend. Live music is always 10/10 and so is the service.
C. M.
Live music was awesome. Food was fantastic, staff were the best
T. M.
Such a good vibe with live blues singer. Good vegan options. Not immediately obvious but it is wheelchair accessible via platform lift and doorman was extremely friendly and helpful. Shall return.
F. J.
I’m telling you the food is the most flavoured ever you can taste,it was well seasoned and cooked the EXACT way you want , Sophie served us and hey Sophie if you see this by any chance you were amazing we will 100% come back again . Even my bf who is fussy loved the food !! The vibe was awesome as well even tho it was a Tuesday night ! Staff are themselves and are all cool and give good vibes . Good job to the management to hire this astonishing staff , keep and praise every single one of your staff .
T. E.
Absolutely amazing, 5 stars all the way!
We went here on a Sunday for lunch, the staff were super friendly and lovely, our order was taken with no mistakes, and all of the food was top quality. It cost around £50 for 2 people with a few sides, 2 mains, and a few soft drinks, great value considering the amazing quality of the food.
The buttermilk chicken sandwich was super tasty with succulent chicken and just the right amount of spicy BBQ sauce, the ox cheek nuggets were more like high class croquettes, and I could have married the cornbread. Our server was a joy and the whole experience was great!
T. D. R.
Absolutely brilliant night, nothing wrong with anything 🙂
n.
That’s Manchester. Extraordinary friendly staff, good beer and bar food together with amazing live music 👌🫶🏼
C. F.
Had such a great experience. Just came to eat with my partner and was NEVER left waiting. As soon as our drinks were low, we were asked if we needed anything. Food was hot and flavourful. The vibe was lovely and it was just a cool place for a date. Will definitely return and that's a rare thing for me to say.
K.
Always a good vibe, and they put on some of the best shows in Manchester
M. W.
Excellent brunch offering! Came here mega hungover on Sunday and somehow the staff convinced us that hair of the dog was needed...in the form of bottomless brunch! They kept our glasses filled throughout time allocation without us even having to ask. I had the sweet potato hash which was incredible! Not too heavy, a feel good plate. My friend had the scrambled eggs which were the creamiest i've had (I got to steal some and so glad I did!). We'll definitely be returning soon. Super service and food.
M. P.
Beautiful building. Unfortunately the ceilings are low so the acoustics are not good, it can be difficult to hear the person sitting next to you. The food is fine, excellent cider.
c.
Great place! Fantastic design and atmosphere, staff and friendly, attentive and helpful always- gets busy on the £5 cocktail Wednesdays as expected but usually visit on a Monday, live entertainment every day - all cocktails different and delicious
M. T.
Great atmosphere, staff were brilliant at table service, never have to try to get their attention, they were all very much on the ball. Good value and nice food. Would recommend
T. R.
Super cool atmosphere with really good cocktails and amazing food!
D. m. s.
Awesome ambience....drought beer available
R. O.
Love the vibe. Been back a few times since my first visit. Never had the restaurant food. Only had the bar snacks of which i got the burger and chips. The burger was good, average. The chips were surprisingly well seasoned which was a huge plus.
Downside for me was the cajun popcorn squid which is basically calamari. For the price of £9, it was a laughable portion, with none of the squid actually being a ring. They basically cut up squid into tiny portions and deep fried it. It was worth £3 if anything. Only consolation was the sauce it came with. Surely that didnt cost £6. Dont order the cajun popcorn squid if you value your money.
R. F.
Great place to dance to blues. The service started at 10pm upstairs. Will definitely go again!
K. R.
Cool venue. Good choice of drinks. Staff friendly. Interesting decor. Great atmosphere
C. S.
Bottomless bloody Mary's! What's not to love?! Food was good and service was excellent.
A. W.
Good vegan food? Staff friendly, very quick with food orders, atmosphere is great
A. “. B.
Brilliant venue, food was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, highly recommend 😀👍
I. M.
Okay, so the food is good (3rd time I have been) particularly the hot wings and the music is good. Have to say that young people serving seem to ignore you once you're over 50. Ageism is the last wall to be knocked down it seems
B. S.
Great food and cocktails, we went at lunch time hoping for BBQ food, not realising there was a separate brunch menu. Brunch was amazing, so we will definitely go back one evening
E. H.
Loved this place. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff & lovely food. Great pre-theatre meal but would love to return to see live music
C. S.
Now this is a place I really like. Fell in after pouring out the opera house opposite and found a bar with live blues and more eclectic music. Bloody brilliant. Beer selection could be better. But I suppose I can't have everything, I wouldn't want to be spoiled.
Update... March 2022.... Great band... Probably even better 😂
J. M.
We went tonight to do whisky blending, am not a whisky drinker but it was fun to have a go.
It was definitely worth the money
B. S.
My friends and I went for brunch at The Blues Kitchen last Sunday.
The food was amazing! And you cannot complain about the portion sizes! In addition, one of my friends has a few severe allergies. Both our waiter, Fabio, and the kitchen were extremely attentive to this issue, checking with my friend at every turn. Many restaurants are not this attentive when we go out to eat, so this was a great service.
The staff we super friendly and attentive, making sure to bring more water to the table when we ran out. They even brought out some scoops of ice cream with a candle in when we told them that it was my friend's birthday.
A fantastic experience with great food and a comfortable atmosphere. Can't recommend enough.
T. T.
This place has a very lively and friendly vibe. When you take into account the excellent music and food to accompany it, this place is rapidly becoming our favourite new venue to hang out in.
A. H.
Fun evening. The staff were friendly and the bars were well staffed.
Food was good also.
The band seemed to take a while to come on but they were good when they started.
S. R.
The atmosphere was what I expected of a themed bar in Manchester. There was a friendly vibe and the cocktails were pleasant. The service couldn't be faulted, we even received a complimentary glass of prosecco each, as my fiance had previously mentioned it was our anniversary. We were very excited to try the food. Perhaps we expected a little too much. It is still very much 'bar food'. Our burgers were forgettable, reminding us of Wetherspoons. There's nothing wrong with a 'Spoons burger, but it's not what I was hoping for on my date night. I would most likely return again, late in the evening for just a few drinks and to enjoy the live music, but I think I'd eat elsewhere before hand.
A. A.
Brilliant music and what an atmosphere loved it
Zombie cocktail must try
a. l.
You know it's good when you'd go straight back even with a hangover. The greeting from the doormen and the front of house staff was amazing and set the stage for a fantastic night. The house band was great and the cocktails are brilliant! Some of the staff are still getting to grips with the menu and waiting on that amount of people is always going to be difficult but they worked really hard all evening to keep the drinks coming. The food was also excellent. We booked a bar table for the atmosphere as the restaurant is downstairs and we wanted to watch the live music and just have bar snacks. Can't wait to go back wish I could go now !!
L. F.
We came here as we wanted to watch some love music and got seated at the restaurant downstairs first. We weren't going to have food so we just got a cheeseburger. I have to say that it is the best burger in Manchester, hands down. I genuinely believe it was under priced. The live music upstairs was exceptional. One of the newest venues in town and one of the best. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
G. N.
Interesting decor. Doorman gave a quick run down of where all the bits originated. Not sure I believe him, but its worth taking a look around.
Food was good, not great, but very good. I was slightly surprised at the limited menu. I was expecting some more adventurous items. This was a Sunday evening so maybe it varies from day to day.
Service was good, friendly and professional. Atmosphere was good for a Sunday night.
Recommended.

Ox. Cheek. Nuggets. 🙌
Everything else was excellent but these blew my mind. Amazing!
K. F.
Really enjoyable food and drinks, a wonderful atmosphere and really friendly and attentive staff. The recommendations on the drinks were helpful and we enjoyed them throughly. We will definitely be back to experience the live music nights as this was just an afternoon visit. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!
S. Y.
Great atmosphere and the food was really good large portions. The ribs were so big two of my group couldn’t finish them.
N. c.
Great intimate venue for music, nice staff and great range of drinks.

AMC GOSPEL CHOIR 5 STARS
They were amazing !
Now for Blues Kitchen upstairs the venue was dark and intimate
Food prices outrageous for what you get two small spring rolls £8 rip off a can of cider near £6! Could get a 12 pack from Sainsbury's for £12!
I thought it would have been a glass 500ml bottle but it was a 330ml can so unfortunately shall not be returning because of the prices of the food and drinks simply not worth it.
G. A.
Awesome gospel/disco vibes on their Saturday afternoon session, great atmosphere and the best choice of bourbons in the uk.
N. C.
I’ve enjoyed the Blues Kitchen venues in London so I had high hopes for this new Manchester offspring and I was not disappointed. It certainly has the wow factor! Stunning decor, competent super friendly staff, good food, great drinks and the upstairs venue is delightful. Even the toilets are great! Highly recommended.
s. s.
Big cool place. Stylish. Great live music.
Drink prices badly let it down. 30 quid for 3 drinks. Ouch!! They ruin it.
J. A. N.
Best place to a random walk-in gig. Live music everyday. Great selections of draft beers and drinks. Really nice atmosphere and staff is really friendly. Great lights and performance, acoustic. The day I visited they had two shows in different floors of live music.
T. V.
This place is amazing and Faultless. Being in the finance industry I understand how important customers are and this company got it right with perfection. Though each member of staff is different they have the formula right on how to treat you. They all came asking if we were okay. Kept us in the loop in regard to seating times for out group. Brought us our drinks and made sure we were in their thought. Had a laugh with us all and every member of staff were highly informed and couldnadvise us on everything we asked them. The service was consistent 👏 and the experience was brilliant. This is they key to having a successful business and I will certainly be going back there.
M. B.
The best bar in Manchester! Stunning place, kindest staff and best vibe from the live music.
Couldn’t thank the staff enough for how they handled a situation with a creepy guy. Damon the bouncer and Alex the waiter made us feel so safe. Never experienced support like it on a night out from staff, so thank you so much!
L. H.
Second time I've been to this one. This time for brunch. The staff were fantastic, even looking after my allergies. Great for a night out also!! Highly recommended
H. T.
Fast service with good quality of food at a cheap price. Cool vibes and music choices.
J. H.
Great place, lovely vibe, an excellent vocal music.
M.
The food and service was absolutely incredible! I honestly can't wait to come back here.
A. B.
I didn't experience the live music area of the venue but the restaurant, food & staff were excellent. Really delicious food and generous portion sizes.
I'll definitely visit again and hopefully experience the live music next time.
S. H.
Brilliant service food and atmosphere - made our family day out extra special
L. S.
Had the MOST INCREDIBLE night at Blues Kitchen! What an incredible venue - no detail spared in terms of decor and the airstream caravan is so cool. Staff were amazing - incredibly friendly and super attentive throughout the night! We had amazing drinks - the lychee martini & rhubarb sour are definitely worth going back for alone...food was awesome, special mention - the ginger & white choc cheesecake which blew us away. Overall, wicked vibes & the music is fab. Can't wait to go back....next weekend...and the weekend after...
l. c.
No e place drinks a bit expensive very busy but good.
J. S.
Went to the gospel afternoon at blues kitchen Manchester, what a day!! The band were fantastic knocking out not only a few gospel tunes but well know old school R&B classics. Everyone up dancing and singing, waitress service for drinks so you don’t miss anything queuing up, small venue not excessively packed, best afternoon for years! Highly recommended
K. S.
Amazing atmosphere, drinks and food! I'd always recommend booking however as it can get incredibly busy which can cause slow service at times. Still a 5 star place however.
This is based on a restaurant booking, can't comment on the event/music space.
H. L.
Came here for the first time 4 days ago and have been back twice already! Super attentive staff, beautiful decor, buzzing atmosphere, quality entertainment and it's just such a vibe.
Our server, James, was honestly amazing. Great service is so important to me and he exceeded every expectation and made our night so special! He made us feel super welcome from the get go, and noticed every time we needed another drink.
We went back for brunch to nurse the hangover from the night before (the rhubarb sours are amazing), and have been back since to watch some live music which was incredible too.
Highly recommend to anyone that goes into Manchester!
J. G.
The Blues Kitchen is an absolute Gem in the centre of Manchester all of the staff are lovely and made our visit amazing. Live music was a nice change, it paired well with the fantastic food on offer. I can highly recommend the ribs starter, out of this world. 👍👍
D.
Nice place, nice staff, nice relaxed vibe and has good selection of drinks and food available too
S. C.
Great venue, nice atmosphere and live music regularly. This is a must if you like blues, great food and drink.
E. D.
Visited here today with my son Luke and can hands down say it is one of the best places I've visited. Gorgeous interior and a lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious and the staff are super friendly with a special shout out going to our server Lucy who was delightful. Would definitely recommend.
M. C.
Went for brunch on Saturday afternoon and it was unreal! Had huevos rancheros, Buttermilk pancakes - delicious! We had the wild cherry champagne cocktail and a lychee Martini, both fantastic. Service was brilliant too, really friendly and relaxed. Just couldn't fault it.
J. W.
Incredibly high standard of customer service. Food was excellent and the atmosphere in here is great.
D. N.
Dropped in Sunday late afternoon for our first visit. We wanted to try the (highly recommended to us) buffalo wings & a robust cocktail.
They delivered on both fronts. The best authentic buffalo wings with blue cheese dip we’ve had outside of London (if not outside of USA!) can’t wait to go back to try the full menu. Drinks were on point, I had a Bombardier, well mixed and well balanced. Thanks to the staff, we will be back x
N. S.
Having visited the London venue was looking forward to visiting the northern version. Wasn't disappointed even though it was very busy the music was great as was the atmosphere.
We had a slight issue with our food but the staff were really helpful once the problem had been identified. Can highly recommend the hot wings.
M. S.
Heard a bout the place from family members, portions small food & drink also expensive, not informed about service charge in advance £13+will have to curve ball in future, sorry
j.
Great venue. Lovely staff. Bar staff always so friendly and the door staff always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and safe! Love the decor too. My go to place in Central Manchester!! These guys have got it right!!
E. B.
The food was good, the atmosphere was cool and the staff were good fun.
S. H.
Awesome fun. Amazing building! Shout out to the 2 lovely hosts who sorted our stag do out after I booked the table on the wrong night.
T.
Had a fabulous time, served by the lovely Finlay. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic service, staff made sure to check re allergies, would have been 5 stars but had to wait 15 mins despite booking a table :)
F. S.
We had a super hen party in the caravan . Great service and atmosphere 👍🥂
M. K.
Service was amazing, they were extremely attentive, lovely people, atmosphere was on point, drinks good too, I found the food was average, I didn't think the food was bad, but it wasn't the highlight of the evening.
J. P.
Always good fun here. Try to get yourself a table though, it's well worth having a good view of the downstairs stage when the live music comes on.
A. J.
Expensive drinks but nice atmosphere and good live music
A. W.
Oh well, what a night out!!!! We went for the gospel brunch which was amazing!!! We loved it so much in here we spent a solid 12 hours in there 😂 Max, our waiter was brilliant! Good fun, very attentive and just made the day/night really. Get booked in ASAP! We loved all the staff in fact, they were super friendly and excitable upon booking, they definately made the experience!! Suffering BADLY today but it was worth it!

Impromptu dinner on a Tuesday night for 4 people. Arrived at 9.30 and was told to wait at the bar for a table. Ordered drinks and then was seated shortly after. Food order was took promptly and we ordered another round of drinks with this (beers and cider) starters arrived in good time but the drinks took forever to come. Waitress apologised for the wait and said they were on there way.
Wouldn’t have minded as much if it wasn’t for noticing staff dancing around to the band playing (which is great for atmosphere but doesn’t look good when waiting on something) service seemed a bit chaotic in that respect. I also understand that the bar might have been backed up considering that their were more people drinking at this time. We ordered another round of drinks when we had finished eating and they took some time to come as well.
The food was fine, starter buffalo wings were delicious main of ribs were okay. One friend got a margarita cocktail which she said was very good.
Sadly my friends night didn’t end well, after having the Big shrimping burger and didn’t feel too well after finishing it. She went out to get some air thinking she might need a walk, came back in and then left again so we paid and left. When outside while waiting for her partner to come out, my friend excused her self saying she felt like she was going to be sick. After throwing up said she felt better. Mentioned it coming on after she had finished eating. Decided it must of been a bad shrimp as she had hardly drank.
The staff were lovely and welcoming but seemed a little distracted at times.
Venue was poorly lit which is a little annoying when ordering food and eating. However, this suited the vibe that was going on around us.
Probably wouldn’t visit again for a meal but seems like an okay venue for drinks and entertainment.
B.
Hate using this word, but the 'vibe' in there was spot on. Staff were incredible and attentive and food was excellent. Definitely returning.
A. A.
Amazing food!, amazing value, I had the brisket burger with bacon gravy! Out of this world. Couldn't recommend enough 👌 the restaurant its self is funky, atmospheric and stylish! The staff are really helpful and friendly, nothing to much trouble 😀
V. B.
Great atmosphere live music was excellent loved the vibe
P. C.
Amazing food great service and live music
A. D.
Went for lunch here. Two for £10. Very enjoyable. A lot of original features such as the tiling are still here, as it was originally a Victorian eye hospital. Staff efficient and polite
M. P.
Best venue in Manchester, most friendly staff and bouncers, very normal crowd which is unusually for Manchester centre.
Amazing live acts and vibes every time I’ve been, also reasonable prices.
Would definitely recommend for a civilised night out.
C. W.
Nice premises and good atmosphere. Food (platters) were nice and drinks reasonably priced. Only downside was the venue was a little bit loud and hard to hear the people next to me speaking - but perhaps that was just me as i have not been out in so long due to Covid. Would recommend.
H. A.
First time visiting here with friends for food and drinks and don’t usually leave reviews but felt the need to. Over the 5 hours we were there we must have been served by 10 different members of staff and each and everyone of them were exceptional!! Never experienced this in such a big venue before. Great work guys👍🏼
J. x.
Decor inside is great, service and drinks good - the cocktails available seem to differ on occasion, so there's always something new to try. Haven't tried the place with live music yet, but the playlist I've heard so far is a big mix of old and new - it can be a little loud here but it's a city center bar, so expect it to be lively!
F. N.
Saturday afternoona they have a Gospel group singing upstairs. They are part of the AMC choir and they are fabulous. They played 3 sets, at 2, 3 and 4pm. They had the place going, everyone up dancing and singing along to straight Gospel, R&B classics and Soul. Food and drinks available via table service. Food is decent quality, drinks average city centre prices. You need to book to get in. Well worth a visit.
C. N.
Great venue, food and beer are good too.
R. H.
The Staff?! 100/10 helpful, friendly gorgeous, there isn't enough words. Kevin, Jess made our night. I'm definitely coming back again. Mad love to the band as well.
The food was immense, the drinks, super delicious. The atmosphere made me feel at home.
Thank you guys
J. A.
The food, staff, and atmosphere are absolutely amazing here. Would recommend this place to anyone, if that is for a sit-down meal or just a drink at the bar. Kudos to Luke and Oliver, as they were exceptionally polite. The other staff were too, but unfortunately I can't remember their names.
q. d.
Absolutely amazing food great service and excellent atmosphere
Loved the live music
N. B.
First time there, only stayed a short while but would definitely return. Interesting decor, 3 floors of entertainment.
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and a very varied age group. Something for everyone!! Will most definitely return.
V. H.
Very welcoming friendly staff a great atmosphere. Food was delicious would recommend to go ..
M. O.
We came for a family get together and loved how welcoming and helpful all the staff were from arrival to the end of our meals, especially Lucy.
Lucy really went above and beyond to make our time spent there memorable, she made the time to chat to us and make sure our food was acceptable and good. Although she was also friendly with every other guest that stepped through the doors of the blues kitchen, a real credit to the team there.
The ambience of the place was beautiful from the decor, low lighting to the background music, and the air stream caravan that’s situation in the middle towards the staircase to the washrooms is just amazing.
We would definitely recommend this little diamond eatery, and we will for sure be booking again. We’ve even looked at the ones in London and on our next trip down there we’re visiting one of them.
r. s.
I echo what all the other reviews say about the staff. They are extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive to wishing you farewell at the end with huge smiles. The bar and waiting staff are constantly on the ball too.
The music is fantastic whether you're listening to the dj or the live band. Manchester has been missing this kind of place for years.
D. S.
Had the lunch deal. Great staff and delicious food and good value
S. S.
Lovely cocktails, banging food and the vibe was great... even on a tuesday! Our server ollie was super helpful and gave great energy to our table! Will be back soon and I will recommended to my friends oxo

Food is excellent. Live music sensational. You can't go wrong! 10/10 🤩
P. G.
Really good lunch, nice price, quick service.
C. H.
Went for lunch, excellent value for good quality food, the staff were all very attentive
L. G.
Came to blues kitchen as a last minute date night with my fella as everywhere was booked up and oh my god we were blown away! Great banter with the door staff and and the host team were so welcoming and lovely! Our waiter Kevin was an absolute gem as well as all staff, so attentive and wonderful! The hot spinach dip is to die for! Will not find anything like it round Manchester, absolute one of a kind and so delish! My man had the big boss burger - so juicy and tender! We had a few cocktails and ended the night with beautiful live soul music! Man what a night, can’t wait to come here again, loved it from start to finish, thank you for the best time blues!
L. S.
Great vibes! Had a tasty burger and service on point. Thanks!
B. H.
Fast Service, great atmosphere, food and drinks
J. A.
Loved this place, warm friendly decor. Bar and waiting staff were excellent. Bet this place rocks when they have live music on. Food was very good. Will call in again
D. W.
We booked a table at 6:30pm for dinner on a Wednesday night, it’s actually a bar with a restaurant and (loud) music was on. We were actually aiming to have a family dinner with my teenage children, so we didn’t really aim to have any (alcohol) drinks. Upon arrival, the guard at the door was very friendly and polite, I was impressed by that. When we got inside, I told the staff I had booked a table at half six, she then said our table wasn’t ready yet so she asked us to wait at the bar area and ordered some drinks while waiting. I was a bit hesitate since we were not really into drinking in this occasion we just wanted to have a family dinner. So I asked how long do I need to wait for the table, maybe the staff felt my hesitation, she then suddenly said the table was ready and another staff could take us to the table. At that point I was wondering if that was a tactic to make people have more drinks before having a meal. 🤷♀️ Once sat down, the waitress that served us was very friendly, my shrimpin burger was very yummy, my kids were satisfied with their food too, but my husband wasn’t very impressed with the loud music and chatting noise from other people. I would say food wise it is fine, but we would just prefer a quieter restaurant to have our family dinner.
R. W.
Visited for a late lunch. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional especially our servers (Lucy and another lady whose name I didn't get). Really friendly, welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.
L. R.
Hreat food, great vibe, great service. We had a lovely evening thanks.
E.
Cocktails are an acquired taste but the food was great, especially ribs and donuts.
M. C.
Visited the blues kitchen on Saturday and really enjoyed it.
The live music was fantastic, they have a great selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails to sample.
Looking forward to returning soon.
K. M.
I had a great night out, music was excellent and drinks a good price. Then I left and had toilet paper stuck to my shoe...the bouncer ran out to make sure I knew🙈. Then another bouncer made sure I knew where my taxi was coming from and that I got in it okay 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thanks
A. C.
Love this place. The staff are respectful and polite, the service is good. No lengthy waits at the bar
The live music and vibe is faultless.
S. D.
Absolutely loved this place!!! The staff are fantastic all really attentive. We mainly had Victoria as our server and she was lovely!!! The food was great if you get the ribs dont order loads of sides to go with it youll never eat it all. We arrived half hour early after being in the cinema and they sat us down and let us have a drink. Would deffo go again!!! If im being really picky only criticism was the music was a little loud when trying to have a conversation. 5*
C. G.
Beautiful venue and amazing music. The queue moved quickly, door staff were friendly and efficient. I booked a booth for late night drinks and had the best evening- roomy booth with delicious drinks.
D. S.
Great food, nice vibe, live music every day.
H.
Decent food, very nice cocktails, 3 floors (2 with live music). A great night, friendly staff, will surely be returning many times. One thing I personally didnt like: I was told the live music would start at 2000, it didnt, it started at 2100, also in order to book a table for the live show I had to be at the venue latest for 1900.
A. R.
Such a change to be greeted by quality doorstaff who genuinely seem to want you to have an enjoyable evening. Food is fabulous, our waitress was amazing. Drinks reasonably priced. The decor is first class. Definitely going back.
E. S.
Taco salad and boss Burger were absolutely wonderful.
The place is full of happy people and live Blues music is about to start playing.
N. G.
Excellent place, really well organised, different floors for different events. We spent a really enjoyable afternoon upstairs watching a gospel choir with plenty of drinks, then came down stairs to the restaurant for a meal, great food and excellent service. Would recommend Blues Kitchen to anyone.

As it was my first proper trip to Manchester I asked for recommendations on where to eat/drink and this came up a few times! The staff couldn’t be lovelier and the decoration is amazing. We go the ribs for 2 and there was so much food that was all delicious, the ribs fell off the bone they where so tender. Also if you go on a Wednesday the £5 cocktails make the experience even better!

My birthday lunch was an amazing experience. The food, staff, place and music were brilliant, all that plus free Oreo doughnuts can only be reviewed as excellent
