We accidentally ended up here after wandering round for hours looking for food. Well what a happy accident and an amazing place to find! Everyone I was with where gobsmacked at the amazing tasting food. I'm vegan and honestly the food I had was immense. Thank you!

The entry is hidden in a side street but you’ll see the sign and head upstairs. The style is prohibition Art Deco with a small stage where they have performers on different nights. Cocktails are good and staff seem friendly.

Abbie the Vocalist (Viva la Vintage) was fabulous and the overall service was first class. Shame your Google posting stated you were closed otherwise I would have expected a larger audience for a very talented act

Very cool upstairs bar. Nice seating for just chilling. We sat most the night enjoying the atmosphere and live band they had on. Drinks were 2 for £10. So not bad. Normally would set u back 8 or 10 but deals are always the way for. Staff were friendly and nice. Nice place.

A live performance by a jazz/soul singer called Dominique was absolutely amazing. Fitzgerald's is always a great late night out but today was even better than normal. A really happy crowd was out, spending their first paypacket since Christmas. Drinks are quite pricey but no more so than other late night venues in Manchester.

Nice little cocktail place, enjoy the comedy nights there. Drinks service can be a little slow (not more than 2 bartenders at once it seems?) and did find one Bartender to be a bit rude during my last visit. :(

The place and the cocktails are nice. Same it shares the same toilets with the place below and they are slammed at all times. I didn't experience the live music as it didn't start at 10pm as was promised, but must try again. I'll try again as my girlfriend really likes the place hopefully will give 5 stars

Went to The Bad Bunny Burlesque night at the Fitzgerald last night. What a fantastic venue for a brilliant show. So atmospheric and not too big. The staff were brilliant. The band was perfect and the music compliments the burlesque performances. 4 beautiful and talented girls making their burlesque debut. If you get the chance to go see them do it. You will not be disappointed. Xxx

Good cocktails, good prices. Friendly staff but one of them wasn't a regular in this bar and struggled with basic cocktails. Took the shine off the experience a little. Overall, I love the feeling of this place and will definitely be returning.

Went into the Fitzgerald for a drink with my partner. It is a nice venue with a fairly decent drinks selection. It has a prohibition vibe, which works to an extent. It's hard to find but once inside the vibe doesnt really match that theme. The staff were friendly, we went on a fairly quiet night so can't comment on hat it is like when busy.

Visited in a large group on Saturday and enjoyed the couple of hours we spent. The bar staff were happy to make drinks that weren't on the menu and despite running out of steam early on (the last three of our 11 espresso martini's were missing creme/foam or any sort of garnish) the rest of our drinks were top notch. The music was not always in theme, but at a volume we could talk to each other over which was a nice change!!

Only lost a star due to the fact I went on a Friday hoping for some of the bootleggin music as promised on the website and it wasn't as much fun as I hoped for. Though I am definitely going to give it a go again on a night they have an event on. Has a lovely atmosphere!

The perfect bar for getting tipsy and flirting. It feels deliberately difficult to find - clearly they're playing the long-game with soft marketing, relying instead on word of mouth and the allure of a secretive speakeasy. I had the best 'White Lady' cocktail here - really just gorgeous. The staff are attentive, skilled and ever so dapper. At first I found the whole concept a little try-hard, but they have well and truly won me over.

Lovely place. Wouldnt recommend to anyone who need wheel chair accsess. I wouldnt call this a dancing bar however the music is really loud to have a normal conversation... or... im getting old aha. They do 2 4 1 cocktails! Which are amazinggggg. However all of the drinks are a little pricey but its what you expect from such a beautiful bar!

Tasty and well made drinks which are reasonably priced, amazing live music and a good range of music over the stereo. Staff are all friendly and it's a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Perfect location for a date. Music is a bit loud but still the atmosphere is very romantic. Has live music every Thursday upstairs i think. Ground floor is basically recommended for food and not for drinks. Only negative point is that you have to make a reservation to find a table. Quite impossible to find a place in the evening since the bar is overbooked almost every day.

Dark and intimate. They give the prohibition look a good go and live music is a great touch. Live music was great. The music before the performance was too loud and distracting from having a conversation and no dancefloor.

If only EU legislation would permit indoor smoking and the lack of any fire escape, and the bouncers enforcing a dress code of spats, top hats and tails - then this place would nail the 20's speakeasy look and feel completely. In the meantime its a fantastic cocktail bar, full of atmosphere, an epic selection of spirits and bartenders who know their booze inside and out - it does get packed though, so if you're after a quiet drink get their early or very late.

Suave, is how i can describe this place. I have been a few times and always been lucky enough to see a band or an solo artist every time, whether it be an acoustic set for a four piece soul band. I definitely recommend this place to anyone especially if they want to impress!

Relaxed space, perfect for after work cocktails which were nice and reasonably priced. The bartender accidentally got one of the drinks wrong but apologised when he realised and offered to remake the correct drink but we didn't mind as even the wrong drink was nice.

Charming place - a bit of a hidden gem, slightly different surroundings in comparsion to the bars nearby. The kinda place you go when you're a little dressed up and want a cocktail! I went with a large group and sampled quick a few of the cocktails over the course of an evening!

1920s themed bar with a cozy and cool atmosphere. Playing old Buster Keaton movies and serving cool cocktails. Pity they had run out of dry ice for the Fairy tale in New York cocktail! Can be a little pricy but not too out of the norm for a trendy Manchester bar.

The Fitz Gerald is my number one go to bar for a date. The inside is very cosy and the way it's laid out makes it feel very intimate. They also serve you at the table which is really nice as it means you don't have to leave your date and go to the bar and wait while your cocktails are being made. Probably one of my favourite bars to go to in town but has to be the right kind of night, it's not exactly the place you go with your football mates. Keep it special.

On Monday I was really up for dancing at the weekend, as Friday swifly approached me and the mates I'd managed to collar into coming out were a bit non-plus. The working week had taken its toll and we just weren't that bothered. Welcome to your 30's. We popped from bar to bar, an unrealised bar crawl through the Northern Quarter. Until we finally fell upon The Fitzgerald. I'd never been before but as we all ordered our ales and cocktails we slowly got accustomed to it. The bar men looked like a new Suede cover band (a good thing) and the DJ was actually enjoying his set (unlike the emo-folksters of the previous places). I had a rasberry and champagne cocktail which was delicious. No one suggested leaving which, from my lovely bunch of gypsies can only be a good thing. It was dark, clean, a little Bugsy Malone, not too pretentious and not rammed. A little gem, at least for our direction-less night.

The Fitzgerald provided cocktails for an event I organised recently, and I was very impressed with their creativity and attention to detail. Their 'Aviator' cocktails were served with cute little paper aeroplane garnishes, and presented in wooden vintage boxes. Looking forward to popping by the bar to get the full experience now!

Located above Rosylee and the Hula Tiki lounge on Stevensop square where you enter through a side door and up the stairs. Once inside you are transported back to the prohibition 1920s where the waiter and waitress wear 1920s outfits and provide you with table service at your table. The drinks are spot on and my favourite is the smoky rum. The atmosphere is chilled and laid back and perfect for a place to meet up friends for a drink.
