Went with my mum for mothers day and she had Mangalorean roasted cauliflower & spinach curry and she loved it and cherry pepsi and i had BBQ chicken, bacon and cheddar cheese panini and chips with cherry pepsi 😋😋🥰❤ and for desserts we had Warm Mini cookie dough sandwich with ice cream and salted Caramel filling and i had mini Warm chocolate brownie with ice cream and belgian chocolate sauce 😋😋❤🥰 and it was delicious and the staff was really polite and they was really good because i took my 1 year old son and asked politely for a high chair and they brought one to the table for me and my son loved it too x

Food is alright but definitely on a subpar level compared to most Wetherspoon’s I’ve been in. Not sure if this is due to the area being primarily students and quite busy.

Quite a bad experience Food was generally okay for the price, except the Sirloin steak - it was terrible. It wasn't exactly cheap, and it was probably cooked way in advance. Tough, cold, dry and fully cooked when we clearly asked for medium rare. Did not have the best service either. The ordering online mechanism wasn't very user-friendly too

Opened in the mid-2000s, this JD Wetherspoon lies beneath apartment accommodation. The name comes from the proximity of the pub to the former railway line (the adjacent Sainsbury's cafe is in the former station building) that once served the area. A large space has been made to appear more intimate by breaking up the space with columns, artefacts and good lighting. Although the location is in the middle of a student area, the pub attractive to a wide range of customers. Usually five or six cask beers on.

Always loved this place. Really friendly and efficient staff and good mix of people, wide demographic ranging from young student to older local regulars. The real ales are immaculate. Kind on the pocket too.

Nice diner with cozy atmosphere and a lot of menu choices. The prices are also really great. We were visiting Manchester for a weekend trip and did breakfast here twice. They serve good beer as well and I guess it would be a great place to start your night out with some food and drinks here as well. Food was prepared fairly quick in our case (within 10 minutes), both times we were there (around 11 in the morning on Saturday and on Sunday)!

I enjoyed this place and it's a budget friendly place. You can have a filling meal in 7 pounds with an alcoholic drink and if you want meals for two with alcohol then you can easily get it in 15 pounds. I tried this mango blast vodka based drink and it was really awesome. It's a go to place for me whenever I am back in Manchester.

This is a great bar and typical of a Wetherspoon. The food is good for what you pay. For me, it is the range of ales they have on. They have a varied range and this rotates often. If you want specialist craft beer, then you find it here. If you want a choice of ales other than the generic beers about, then you are in luck. Word of caution, it gets busy in the evening so leave it too late you may be standing about!

Had a pretty rubbish experience first time I came, wings burnt to a crisp and they had ran out of napkins (Sainsbury’s across the road) and they gave out blue roll 🤷🏼‍♂️. This is a classic spoons in a studenty area so it's got what you'd expect, great prices with dubious ethics. It gets very busy and loud at peak times, but it doesn't play music or sports so it's perfect for a chat with your mates. You'll often see large sports club groups in here pre-drinking but there are plenty of locals too, if you're looking for sport or a more classic pub head over the road to the friendship. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful spoons will suit you well.

I just wanted to say that i appreciate to the max the fact that is the first place that did not arbitrarily give me straws for a drink that didn't need straws. This is so rare and beautiful. I always love a wetherspoons and the Grand Central was one of our go to pubs for a few years. It's one big open planned room so it's often pretty lively in there, with a real mix of students and locals. Handily it's opposite Pandora's massage parlour, so grabbing a window seat can make for some amusing encounters! I'd give it 5 stars if there were a few more seats inside, can usually be a bit of a scramble for a table on a weekend evening.
